Blink has posed:
They'd meant to be on patrol, at least that had been the plan. But in trying to find a good spot to come and go from, Blink had found a book shop! And she was pretty sure that Dana had said she /liked/ books. And so, even though the mutant was in her 'hero' outfit, with it's green lycra cycling shorts, loose fitting green split dress and soft leather boots and gloves... Well, she'd texted Dana to tell her to wear something normal.

Her quiver she stashes amongst the rooftop chimneys. Hidden from idle view of all but other heroes, which she hoped wouldn't be that interesting. And then it was a simple -Blink!- down to street level.

Quietly she waited, now and then checking her slender cheap phone to see if Dana had texted back to say she was ready... Tapping her foot.

Imbroglio has posed:
'Normal' for Dana involved baggy clothes and a hoodie. As much as possible to help mask her subtly shifting features to keep from creeping out the normal folk. She might look like she was up to no good to the casual observer, the way she conceals her features and usually keeps her hands pocketed.

"Ready" is the text received by Blink's phone without too much delay, and Dana would hop through the portal as quickly as she could once it opened.

Blink has posed:
The portal is pretty much immediately after Dana's finished sending her text. As she pops through, the purple teen is already giving her a one armed hug - the other hand gesturing towards the book shop. "Look what I found!" Her grin makes it plain she's very pleased with herself.

Steering her companion towards the shop Clarice is still talking; "Obviously you'll need to still call me Blink whilst I'm wearing this, but I /think/ I remember you saying you liked books, or like books. Or something... So I thought you might like to see it? What sort of books do you like anyway? I'm pretty partial to the old fantasy adventure things myself..." Does the girl ever take a breath?

Imbroglio has posed:
Dana leans into the hug more casually than she had in the past. Getting more comfortable with Clarice over time, it seems. She doesn't lean too hard, though. Aware that she's heavy, not wanting to unbalance the mutant.

"A book store?" she wonders, perhaps not quite seeing the excitement there quite as much as Blink might have expected.

Blink's explanation earns a bit of a smile, "That was thoughtful. I like to learn, mostly. Though... I haven't read quite as much since a book I read turned me into a monster."

Blink has posed:
Blink frowns a little. "You're still not a monster." She opines with absolute certainty on the matter. Even after seeing the shapechangers 'natural form'. She doesn't seem in any hurry to remove her arm from Dana's waist either, using it to steer her into the store.

"No monster making books here I'm sure! Looks pretty standard... Did you want to look in non-fiction then?" She looks over at the side of the store with all the how-to's, study guides and goodness knows what else. It's a plain look, most of the titles looking pretty dull to her. But then there's a /travel/ section and she's all bouncy again. "Oh! Inspiration!"

Imbroglio has posed:
"Oh hush," Dana quips back to Blink a little playfully, "I'm from Gotham. Gotham heroes are broody. It's a rule or something." She gives a little shoulder-nudge into the hug, taking no motion to depart from Blink's side.

"I don't do enough reading for fun. Maybe show me those adventure books you like?" she suggests instead, though Clarice's inspiration seems to catch her eye, too.

Blink has posed:
Nodding in agreement, Clarice nabs an 'illustrated atlas of the world', a massive book that barely fits under her free arm. "Okidoke! Over to the action and adventure!" It's not long before she's pulling out adventure fiction from both modern and fantasy genre's, piling them at least six high into Dana's hands.

"/This/ one is good..." She says finally, dropping it on the top. The cover shows a swashbuckler fighting off a giant sea serpent. "And pretty racey at points besides..." She winks at the smaller woman.
