Cast of Characters: Ravager, Traci 13

Ravager has posed:
Rose Wilson has arranged a meeting with the mysterious Traci 13 in the early morning, in order to avoid most casual people who might observe her and wonder what the heck she's doing. She carries a brown book in a plastic bag, which looks old and faded. Walking around the path, Rose glances into the PARK, which she does probably because she hears something or something is bothering her. The park is omniously quiet, but the dark trees shuffle slightly and that really bothers Rose, because she is meeting with Traci 13 and doesn't really want to deal with strange noises or stupid people wanting to watch her. She heads around the bend in the path to the BENCH, where she looks back and forth for Traci 13. Rose looks uncomfortable standing there in the quiet park.

Traci 13 has posed:
"Yes," comes a girls voice, from just a little distance away. Traci is sitting on the grass - or at least, a girl who looks like she might be Traci. The voice on the phone sounded simliar to the one now speaking, and she'd told Rose she'd be the girl with the cute iguana. The iguana that she's now talking to, "That's all for you. I already ate my breakfast, Leroy. Have at it. And no funny talk while I'm meeting with her, okay?"
There's a small blanket spread out beneath her, and the iguana is being present with a small, mashed up fruit bowl which looks like it consists of strawberries, pineapple, and banana.

Ravager has posed:
Rose Wilson finally spots the mysterious Traci 13 and turns out she's a woman who likes fruit having a picnic on the grass, like anybody else, not a mysteriously powerful mage who can kill her. Rose walks over and looks down at Traci, "Hi, I'm Rose," she says and adds, "Kinda quiet this morning, huh?" she asks, looking at the nearby trees again. Ominous.

Traci 13 has posed:
"Hey, Rose." Traci gives a warm sort of smile, "Have a seat." She gestures to the ground, opposite her. "Leroy and I were just having breakfast, waiting for you." She can't help but look amused at Rose's shirt, "Nice," she says casually before offering the other girl a sealed bottle of 'Farm Fresh' orange juice, "So, what did you want to talk about? Sounded pretty important."

Ravager has posed:
Rose Wilson glances down at herself and her shirt which Traci mentions, then looks up again, "Huh? Oh yeah. I'm casual today," she tells her. The T-Shirt has a picture of a middle finger on it because she's a rebel and doesn't care. "Hey check it out, I have a book I need you to look at okay?" she says. She kneels down on the blankie and whips out the brown book from the plastic grocery bag. It has at least 500 pages, and Rose offers it to Traci 13, "Yeah can you tell me how much it's worth?" she asks. She glances at the trees again, "You hear that?" she wonders.

Traci 13 has posed:
Traci reverently takes the book, peering at it curiously, looking at Rose, as she carefully lays the very old book down onto the blanket, opening it carefully. She murmurs a soft word under her breath, and the first few pages slowly, one by one, turn until Traci gestures, and the pages settle. Apparently the sorceress is hesistant to touch, ruin the pages just yet.
"Well," she begins, "It's in Greek. Which I can't read. I know a couple magical languages, but this is in Ancient Greek."
She looks up, casually, "Hm? No. I don't hear anything. Do you, Leroy?"
The iguana just seems to continue to eat. "I didn't think so."
She looks towards Rose, "It's just the wind, or something. Park is always like this in the morning."
Then she's looking back to the book, gestures again, and lets a few pages fall forward before she ceases the movement again, to study a diagram outlined in the book. "Mmm."

Ravager has posed:
Rose Wilson squints a little at the iguana as if listening for his response, but then looks at Traci 13 strangely as she opens the book, "Uhh," she begins, "Well I don't really give a **** what's in it, just what it's worth," she says and shrugs.

"Nice...lizard?" she adds. The pages are written in Greek but there are some illustrations of fire. She glances at the trees again suspiciously, as if the wind explanation isn't very satisfying.

Traci 13 has posed:
"Well, what's in it kind of determines it's worth," points out Traci, with a slight humor. "Oh, that's Leroy. My iguana. He wants to know why you're so nervous," she continues, almost distractedly.
Without touching pages, her fingers trace the outlines of the diagrams, and then she goes back to flipping through the pages, "Well, you ever heard of Greek Fire?"

Ravager has posed:
Rose Wilson motions to the book, "The guy who wrote this apparently was an arsonist obsessed with fire and death, so it's kinda weird. I was thinking it was worth something but maybe not," she says and shrugs. She looks at the iguana again, as if appraising him again, "I don't like mysterious and dark **** like this. Why don't you take it off my hands? We can make a deal, right?" she asks.

Traci 13 has posed:
Traci nods, once, "That's pretty much the gist of it," she agrees, moving to close the book. "From what I can tell, it's a really detailed book on all kinds of fire. Basically, a pyormaniacs wet dream. How to create it from supernatural means, and different types of fire, and different application for each. It certainly borders on darker magic, but in of itself, it isn't dark. We're not talking demon summoning, here. Though there is at least one reference in Hellfire in there," she conceeds.
Traci, however, is not exactly a rich girl. That kind of happens when you mostly study magic all day and don't have a real job. "I've got $50? It's worth more than that," she says, honestly. "But, that's really all I could give you and still get groceries for the week. Sorceress' aren't exactly bringing in the big money, you know?"

Ravager has posed:
Rose Wilson frowns a bit and smirks, "Fifty bucks? Geez," she comments, "Kind of a rip-off, but oh well. I didn't do much work for it," she adds.

She sighs a bit and looks at the blankie again as she shifts from her knees onto her backside, plopping down as she thinks about the big money Traci is offering. "Yeah okay, fine. I'm not taking that **** back to my apartment so I'll take whatever you got," she tells Traci.

Traci 13 has posed:
Traci reaches back into the folds of her mini-skir, finding a hidden pocket that has her ID, and a few bills clipped in a small skull and crossbones billfold. Out of the three bills there, one is a $50, and she passes that over to Rose, "Deal. I've got proper wards at home. And, so I guess it's time for me to brush up on my Ancient Greek. Thanks." She seems pretty pleased with the deal, "I'll take good care of it."

Ravager has posed:
Rose Wilson nods and shifts back up on her knees again, ready to get up from the blankie, "Okay fine. Hey I'll call ya, ok? I got some other **** maybe I could unload. Not for fifty bucks though, right? I was thinkin maybe you could sell junk to your buddies and we could split it. Or you could just give me a name for a percent or whatever," she tells Traci 13, "Kay? That alright?" she asks.

Traci 13 has posed:
Suddenly, Traci is forced to wonder if she's become some form of broker for illicit goods. "Well, like I said, I'm hardly in the money. But, if you have other magical artifacts, or tomes? I can probably help you unload them," she agrees. "How did you get all this stuff?"

Ravager has posed:
Rose Wilson stands up from the blankie and shrugs, "Okay great, I need to unload some crap," she tells Traci 13, "What? Oh I mean...I find em at yard sales and junk. No biggie," she assures her. "Hey, I'll see ya later. I gotta take off."

Traci 13 has posed:
"You know where to find me." Traci's not sure if she exactly -likes- the agreement, but then she's already aware that if -she- doesn't buy the stuff, Rose might sell to either someone who doesn't know anything, or worse, someone who would use the knoweldge for more dark designs. "I'll let a few friends know that I've got a line for someone who has some things for sale."
She pick up Leroy, sets him on her head. And then she stoops to get the bowl of fruit, and the blanket once Rose is off, tucking the book in the blanket for protection. "It was nice to meet you, Rose."
