Nature Puts Down The Folly Of Man (Part 2)
Date of Scene: 20 August 2017
Location: Metropolis
Synopsis: As the 'babies' from the gigantic monster come forth into Metropolis, one group of impromptu heroes works on ensuring the cities, and civilians safety.
Cast of Characters: Grace Choi, Black Canary, Nico Minoru, Raphael, 222, Breath, Hawkeye (Bishop)

Grace Choi has posed:
It was hard not to hear the roar over the horizon, or see the huge, looming figure of the 300+ foot monstrosity in the ocean from various sights, buildings, or at the very least, newscasts. It was all over the media, and Channel 2 News was showing live footage as the helicopter was nearing the fight where several figures such as Aquaman, Supergirl, Star Sapphire, and Mera were all holding the creature back.
But, there was fallout. And, some of the news feeds were also showing or had cut in a side-panel of the babies. Hundreds of hundreds of babies on the shoreline, against a recently and suddenly formed rocky terrain were mostly being taken care of by some other, lesser known heroes of Terra and Traci 13. But, there were, ultimately, too many. And now footage showed these creatures - white in coloration and roughly six feet high each, scurrying into the city, and several people had already been killed. Eaten, before any response teams could form. Two of those had been officers, trying to get people to go into shelters.
Authorties had been quick to respond, SWAT Teams, roadblocks, and other assests had been constructed thanks to the delay of the aforementioned heroes biding them time to prepare the city, and some had been already gunned down. Those that weren't, have been funneled towards a 'killing ground', or so authorities had hoped to make it. It had worked, for a little bit, until they got overrun and had to retreat.
The news had spread fast, and while some authorities were taking to the rooftops, ... others had joined the fight. Others, like Grace Choi, whose apartment was just a few blocks from here, and whose motorcycle is now gunning towards a group of the creatures, while her left hand weilds a huge warhammer that really ought to be, for most people, used with two. There's a sick crunching sound as the hammer and the swing, coupled with the speed causes the creatures head to implode, and go skittering across the pavement.
Grace pulls her bike up to stop, and climbs off. "Now," she says, rolling her shoulders, "This is what I call a -fight-."

Black Canary has posed:
There are jobs when you've got time off, and there are jobs when you're always on call. The Justice League is one of those, and as the reports of the monsters spread, any Leaguers who are available are in the process of being teleported to assist in various areas. This one was requested, and as there's a soft shimmer of transport, Dinah steps forward, immediately on guard. Her friend Grace doesn't live too far from here and...

And she's just in time to see Grace decapitate one of the attacking monsters with a warhammer. "And here I was a little worried about you!" she calls to the other woman, jogging forward as she angles herself so Grace is out of the line of fire, then parts her lips as she inhales at the still standing creatures after Grace's pass, while they're still clumped up.

    *SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!*

The ultrasonic Cry slams into the monsters, smashing them down off their feet...unlike usual, she doesn't hold back. These things are eating people. That's not someting you can reason with, in her mind.

Nico Minoru has posed:
It was pretty hard to ignore.. the cry of the baby (seriously?) monsters that seem to be prevalent virtuallt everywhere. The fact that the powers that be managed to herd them into a somewhat singular area was really saying something. But...the monsters threatened to spread out again. And, there were people out that could do something about it. Even if they didn't really want to.

Nico Minoru was one of those people. She simply couldn't stand to the side and watch from the shadows. She.. had to do something. "Molly...is so going to kill me if she found out." What that is does not get mentioned as Nico flies in....right into the middle of the 'killing field'. She appears unarmed, for the moment, though a strange purple glow eminates from her left arm...specifically from a jewel that looks to be part of a gauntlet. A gauntlet much too articulate to be just armor.

"Alright, Nico. Try not to die. "

Raphael has posed:
Hard to miss that kind of action.

Even if you do live in a sewer!

Moments ago, Raph and his brothers huddled around their television in shock and maybe a little fear. The Major Leagures had the bulk of it but it looked like some of the trouble trickled out into the minors. There was debate, arguement... Even in broad daylight, people needed help. They had to go. Each donned their own version of a disguise, each took a zone to reinforce. Here, here was Raph's.

The reptilian teenager watched on from a fire escape as the things pressed on. He was a oddly shapen lump, hunkered low, trepedation and eagerness coiling in his he-HOLY HELL WHAT WAS THAT?!

Dinah screams and Raph's brooding lurk is interrupted, not caught in the flood of noise but still very close, he claps his hands over his ears.

"Jeezalou..." he utters, snapping a leathery finger near one ear hole. It's faint but there.

Shaking it off, he decides that it's good and time to pitch in. So he does.

In a hat pulled low over his bald, green pate and a long drap coat that does it's best to conceal him, Raph leaps in, hefting one foot onto the guard rail of the fire escape and then hurling himself over, limbs tucking inwards against his chest and belly as he rolls through theair, finally coming down shell-first on one of the scurrying, larger monsters.

Till (222) has posed:
The aspect of 'you have consumed greedily so you will be consumed' is a thing that happens a lot in nature. Survival of the fittest, kill or be killed, eat or be eaten. It seems like nature's just taking its due, doesn't it? So... why would Till take any hand in stopping this?

Who knows? He's Fae, he doesn't have to 'make sense'.

That said, he's still under the same rules -- he can't let people see him in his natural form, but he can't spend the energy to stay in human form. So a tiny fairy fluttering around the battlefield is not the first sign that something's wrong. The first sign is that the environment seems to be changing before one's eyes.

Thorny plants grow up rapidly where monsters are standing, trying to wrap them up in vines, puncture their flesh. Or if nothing else, to hold them in place so others can punch them.

Breath has posed:
Breath rolls up on a cheap chain store bicycle. She had been in this side of town visiting a friend who needed some help, but then something crazy started happening. Monsters are monsters, but there are people out here that might get hurt! Plus, her friend lives really close to here, and she doesn't want them to get hurt.

She skids to a stop at encountering a knot of... whatever these things are.. coming close to an ambulance, sucks in a bit of a breath to top off and blows at them with a WHOOOOSH! running to try to blow them off of a small nearby ledge. She pauses and starts sucking in a new breath of air with another roar of air, and starts actually looking around to figure out if there is anything even vaguely resembling a strategy going on here, or even if there is anybody helping out here other than herself.

Looks like they are trying to keep things contained? She's pretty good with that.. She gets out of the way of the police here and starts rolling around the edge looking for a weak part of the perimeter.

Hawkeye (Bishop) has posed:
Hawkeye responded as the reports went out about the big monster and the little monsters. She couldn't do much about the 300 ft monster, but she could do something to help the people of the city - here on the street. She's not actually on the street, of course... she's on a rooftop, somewhere near where Grace smushed a creature. She launches an arrow at another one of the creatures, a flash-bang. It explodes and will likely blind one. Another arrow is loaded and fired - this is a hard foam arrow and is mch better than a punching-glove arrow. The head that's produced from the shaft's warhead should put one down for the count.

Grace Choi has posed:
Grace swings her legs off the motorcycle to stand, and she thrusts the hammer like a hard prod into the belly of a monster lunging at her, and it is jolted back into three of its siblings. Of course, it's impossible for her to ignore the Canary Cry - which is as every bit as loud as the keening bellow from the monster in the sea several miles out at shore, even from this distance. One can only guess how loud -that- is, up close. Still, several of the closest monsters to the Black Canary are indeed blown off their feet.
"Legs!" Grace calls, looking briefly over to the Justice Leaguer. "Long time no see. Drinks at Chaney's, afterwards?"
Several more monsters balk at the sudden growth around the path they were going to take as the diminuitive Fae from the nevernever goes to work - and for now? Likely remains unnoticed, as Nico's purple glowing arm might make her seem the one casting the spell.
Grace whirls her hammer around herself, keeping a mass of the creatures at bay and crunching two or three more, and anyone watching the huge 7' half-amazon will see an almost battle-frenzy grin on her. "Tell you how I got this later, Legs," she promises, as she watches Raphael shell-shock one of the creatures. "Giant turtles? Alllright. He's on our side. I think."
One of the creatures dives towards Raphael, seeking some of that soft turtle underbelly for it's present meal.
That's when Kate's flash-bang creates a nice lightshow to startle the creatures, stall them, even as one is locked into place, and another literally is down for the count.
Of course, this particular force is just getting started as more, and more of the things continue to swarm, and file in.
Those around the Canary get up, and scream back at her, tiny bellows, but even so small, they're nearly on the same audible level, already, as the Canary herself. And they don't sound happy. Luckily, they don't have her kick.
Nico's purple glowing arm stands out, suddenly, to two of the creatures who veer towards her, their clawed feet skittering against the pavement as they move towards the light. Food must be there, right?

Black Canary has posed:
And speaking of her kick, Canary uses the moment the creatures need to stand to close the distance...and by the time they can scream back, she's there, snapping out a hard roundhouse using her momentum as she buries the heel of her foot into one's throat to crush it, then wades into the mass, snapping a quick brutal knee smash into another as she brings her hand down hard at a chop at the back of its neck, then gracefully crouches under the swing of another, her hands closing around its extended arm as she smoothly spins to send it flying with an akido throw into several of it's still standing brethren.

"Sounds like a party, you're on!" she calls back to Grace, fighting her way over to her to where she can cover her back from any critters that try to get past that whirling hammer, keeping her from being dogpiled by sheer numbers, then grinning at the demonstration of turtle power. "Huh, looks like it!" she says cheerfully. "Any amphibian in a storm, I guess!"

Raphael has posed:
Giant Turtle... You could only do so much with disguises scavenged from clothes drop bins. Even so, as long as they didn't see his face, Raph and his brothers would be safe, so long as none of them knew his identity, they couldn't use it against his loved ones.

Belly up, the impact had momentarily dazed the turtle, vision swimming as he caught his breath for a moment. Just the sky and the encroaching in from the sides... and then a monster, ready to strike downwards. A burst of noise, a burst of light, enough to dazzle. He kicks his legs backwards, rolling heels over head into a crouch that has him up and ready in an instant.

The banter begins evenm as Raph reaches into that long coat of his, hands dipping towards his belt at opposite sides. They come free with his gleaming sais. "I look like a frog to you, lady!?" Raph barks his retort as he lets those shiny, pointy, little wonders of his spin around the foremost of his three fingers before his grip steels around the tines, the center-most prong protruding from between his fingers.

He's in motion, a martial arts brawler, trying to ply his muscle against the beasts only to be rebuffed. They're bigger, a bit stronger... but Raph can be fast as well. A sai jabs in at a leg, twisting to leave the leg lame before he bounces away with a sudden flip, feet streaking upwards to catch the underside of a mandible before he bounds back in with a spinning-heel kick, text book, practiced, if a bit rough at the edges.

Till (222) has posed:
Since the plants seem to work at keeping the monsters back, Till starts trying to 'herd' the monsters into the area that the authorities were trying to herd them into. He does this by trying to grow the plants along the way to the area.

Once he's sure the monsters are heading in the right direction, he starts trying to make the plants around the area grow up and tangle together around the perimeter, to trap the monsters in the 'killzone' area.

While he does this, he remains hidden in whatever bits of the natural environment he can -- bushes, treetops, talls grass, etc. He tries to keep his glow hidden, but with the amount that he's moving around, it's entirely possible that the little wisp of green light could be seen as he flits between bastions of nature along the path towards that area.

Breath has posed:
Breath blows a couple of brief puffs of air at monsters that look like they are uncomfortably close to medics. "Okay, freakies, no touchie the EMT's! What do you guys need? is somebody in charge here?"

Breath starts backing toward the nearest meta type in the area, concerned with the idea of being swarmed.. there's only so many fists anybody can throw at one time, after all.

..Inhale, WHOOOOSH! and Breath starts clearing a bit of the field again, so that an ambulance can move.

Hawkeye (Bishop) has posed:
Hawkeye fires another arrow, this one sprays foam that hardens instantly, this one at the baby monsters Canary tossed together. It should stick them fast to the street, make them easy targets. "This is crazy." she mutters to herself, then she decides to get down where the action is.

She uses her grapnel device to lower herself to the street, where the others are. "Hey." she says to whoever she comes across down there. "Not much time for greetings, but I'm Hawkeye."

Grace Choi has posed:
"Deal." One of the creatures charges, and tackles Grace down to the ground. She's forced to use the handle of the hammer to prevent it from ripping out her throat, but then her leg kicks up, sending the creature skywards. Literally. And, straight into several other charging creatures, and they all go down like bowling pins. But their reflexes are good. And they're already getting to their feet, when Dinah crushes one and throws the carcass into another small group with her profound martial arts skills.
"Seen weirder than you in my lifetime," Grace calls back to Raphael, readying herself for another round. She throws the hammer, like a missle, straight towards a beast that was moving towards Nico, it slams into the creatures head and there's a sickening crunching sound of wet flesh as the hammer is thrown hard enough to pierce through the hide despite it's bluntness, toppling the creature in midair into the ground after hitting the other. "Heads up," Grace calls too late to Nico.
Raphael expediently and, effortlessly, seems to dispatch the monster that was about to use him as an afternoon snack, but three more are already rushing towards him, and now, for the moment, Grace is weaponless. She shows her utter lack of knowledge of marital arts gleefully to Raphael, "Shouldn't those swords be bigger?"
More plants, and more growth will work for now, in keeping the creatures penned in, but they're growing more brave, and might break through at any moment. Still, Till's efforts do seem to be working to certainly thin the huge pod of them that seem endless in numbers.
The few creatures that had scrabbled up to higher ground are once again buffeted by Breath, skittering back against the galeforce of winds, and into Hawkeye's line of sight as the other woman lands, after she foam-fixes several of the creatures together near the Black Canary.
Grace -catches- one of the creatures lunging at her, and she snaps it's open jaw in half, before twisting and throwing it into the wall. "Grace," she tells Hawkeye. "That's the Black Canary. Dunno who they are," she thumbs towards Nico, Breath, and Raphael.

Black Canary has posed:
"Whoops, sorry!" Canary calls back to Raphael, leaning back sharply as one of the creatures snaps at her face, coming up in a pure on boxing uppercut that snaps its teeth closed on its tongue, then smashes a quick pair of Muy Thai kicks into its side, before stepping fast to hook a foot behind it as she shoves it back to sweep it off its feed, then rolls, taking a moment to look at the surge, nodding to Hawkeye. "Glad to have you!"

She turns her gaze on the oncoming mass, then turns to a more tactical read of the area. "Hawkeye, up on the van back there, try and slow them or thin them before they can reach it. "Turtle,ah, guy, Grace, pull back into a line so they can't get around us as easy! Grace, you're anchoring the line!"

She glances over at the other two. "You two, this way! We can cover each other and draw them all in on us instead of the civilians!"

She pauses to duck a brutal claw swipe, bringing it up with a open handed redirect then smashing an open palm strike into the creature's gut, before bringing down double fists against the back of the neck, then says to Nico specifically. "And could we have that hammer back this way! Please and thank you!" She's got a fierce grin at this point...completely in her element in the middle of a brawl.

Nico Minoru has posed:
Well...that was loud. Though, Nico cannot seem to decide on who was louder, the multiple monsters or the Canary herself. The cacophony does have an effect on her, as Nico lifts a decidedly non-mystical arm to her right ear, without thinking. Of course, purple glowing gems are not very good in helping to keep a low profile. Two of the creatures do certainly see the glow, and skitter towards the goth-bedecked one. One gets close enough and swipes at that exposed arm, carving thin rivulets of blood from the pale flesh. Nico cries out in pain, then blinks as she stares at her arm, all the while fat droplets of crimson blood spatter at her feet. "Oh, I don't know where the hell you things came from...but you just asked for it."

The purple gem within Nico's arm pulsates...then shines with a brillant light as the girl stands straight, her eyes closed. In the middle of a fight. Her voice speaks...calm and steady. "When blood is shed, let the Staff of One emerge..." The bloodied arm reaches down to Nico's stomach, as what seems to be a staff passes *through* her clothing, eminating from within her, into the awaiting hand. With the short staff in hand, Nico turns, her eyes opening and locking upon the creature that sliced her. "You have been very, very bad. You need to be punished." Leveling the staff to point at the creature, Nico borrows a phrase that she might have heard elsewhere.

    "Flame on..."

Without any hesitation, the creature before her bursts into flames. And...not the weak flames, either...but white-hot flames that rival that flash-bang in terms of brightness. As the creature turns into ash before Nico, the other arm, glowing purple, points to the hammer. With a flick of her wrist, Nico sends the hammer back towards Grace and Canary, without so much as a word.

After all, the blood witch has another creature to deal with. Besides....the hammer's return should be enough evidence that Nico is indeed listening.

Raphael has posed:
"Thanks." it did not ring with sincereity.

One down... all of them to go. Raph didn't let himself enjoy the fact that he just beat the crap out of a monster. His joy was tempered by the fact that these were babies compared to what weas rampaging out in the water... He was also not about to be taken down by someones little brat, he didn't care how big they were!

So it was a bit of a even keel there.

Light on his feet and heavy on his fists, he worked their swarming rush against them as much as he could, interposing one body between another as he fought, traipsing up and onto the newst, closest bit of shrubbery to spring-board off and into the closest, ugliest face he could find with another kick. "This how they make new parks nowadays?" he wonders of the green thumb popping up in the middle of grey streets.

"Really, you want to have size debate in the middle of this?!" he jeers back at the unarmed woman, working the sai in with a nasty upper-cut that finds whatever might be a brain and switches it off, "Least I'm keeping hold of mine." he mutters bitterly

Being the only of four brothers here, its easy to call Raph out by species. He wrankles under the title of Turtle Guy and more-so by being bossed around. "Who do you think you a-?!" he begins as he sets his sights on another, only to be blind-sided by a sweeping backhand from one of the monsters that catches him in the side and sends him sailing through a store-front window. Glass shatters, display go astray and Raph is going to take a moment to get up after that one... although he might be a bit wiser for it.

Till (222) has posed:
Once Till has most of the area corralled in, those plants start making thorns. That should discourage the monsters from breaking through immediately. It's not going to stop the more insistent ones for very long, but it should hopefully serve as a discouragement, and maybe cause a little damage along the way.

Also, Till realizes that it's entirely possible that he will have to go melee with these things shortly. Though he hopes not, since he's six inches tall. Talk about a size difference! But just in case, Till moves to one of the longer, pointier thorns that have grown in, and breaks it off. It should serve as an effective sword if he discovers he has to go melee.

Also there might be a grabby snappy plant mouth or two. Now, that growth isn't going to last very long; in fact when Till stops funnelling magic into it, it'll just plain drop off and wither to absolutely nothing. For now, though, he can use this as an effective means of keeping a good amount of these monsters in a small enough area to make them less of a threat.

Though that also means it's impossible to miss the fact that there appears to be a couple MEAN GREEN MOTHERS FROM OUTER SPACE plant trying to eat the monsters! But to be fair these are snappy FLOWERS, whereas Audrey was just a green bulb.

Breath has posed:
Breath turns and ack where did that come from left jab right jab left hook right uppercut quick puff at the face of the monster.. ugh, too close! Inhales with a roar of air.. back up, back up.. Uugh, there has to be something around here to knock things into! She's close to the.. individual with the sais, but they look swarmed.. Then someone calls out an order, and she starts immediately moving back that way, even though she's not totally sure what that's going to look like. It looks a bit clear at the moment, so she does a quick sprint toward Dinah, then turns running backward and.. oh, that didn't sound good.. maybe he? she? they? it? could use some breathing room? blows out a narrow blast of air across the storefront, shattering even more windows but sending the monstery thingies in front of it flying into the broken glass too.

Hawkeye (Bishop) has posed:
Kate blinks as the Canary calls out orders, but she only pauses a moment. "On it!" and she does as asked - hopping up on the indicated van's hood and then on the roof. She goes back to shooting the creatures, these with regular broadheads - trying to put arrows through the beasts' eyes, into what is hopefully into whatever passes as brains to kill them.

"I have a sword, if anyone needs it, or escrima batons?" Kate calls down.

Grace Choi has posed:
As Grace thumbs to gesture to the others whom she doesn't know, another one of the creatures lunges up behind her, jumping, leaping onto her ... which none of them have done, up until now. She doesn't hear it and it catches her offguard as she's toppled to the ground, and the creature sinks it's many-rowed teeth into her shoulder. Grace snarls, hisses, in pain, and twists, slamming her elbow into the creatures snout, once, twice, three times to let it go. Blood trickles down as the creature stumbles back, shaking its head, clearly disoriented, and there's a clear row of teeth marks as she stands up onto her feet, blood seeping down Grace's skin.
"Who made you boss?" Snarls Grace, but she's moving into position for Dinah, "You heard the bird, people. Let's head this crazy shit up." Despite her wound, Grace still seems ready for the fight, even as she snatches the hammer tossed to her by Nico, after watching the creature get reduced to ash. "Finally. Some effing magic on -our- side for one. Holy hell." She grunts, and moves to 'anchor the line'.
"Kick ass," comments Grace as Raphael tosses a few more creatures off, and out of line with his rapid, exquisette movements. "But, you're behind my count. See if you can catch up," she tells Raphael, with a rather fierce, competitive grin slashing her lips.
Then there's another gale-gust of wind from Breath, and a few more creatures being blown into the side of a building, or further down the street to give the team some relief, even as Kate's arrows start to burrow into the creatures flesh. Most are resilient enough, even with her precision aiming, to take several hits before going down, save for those hit straight into the eye.
"Is it just me, or does it look like Poison Ivy is around here somewhere, and is on our side?" As the strange, snappy plants start appearing out of nowhere, and a few of the more brave creatures start to bloody themselves on the thorns, backing up, and turning back to the heroes.
At least the numbers start to be thinning. A little. Is it possible the worst is over? Still, more come. But the massive flow seems to have started to slow.

Black Canary has posed:
As Raphael goes flying, Dinah winces. "Oooh..." Well he's armored, right? He's probably fine...she hopes. She can't check on him at the moment with the oncoming horde still pouring in. The plants are helping at least...everything is, breaking up the mass into more manageable clumps that break through.

"YEARS of ass-kicking!" she shoots back to Grace. "And I'm not gonna say no to magical OR nature support at this point!" She snaps up a high kick, shattering the neck of another of the creatures, letting out a gasp as one of the claws finally gets through, raking along her armored side, but still drawing a little blood. It just seems to get her madder really as she launches into a flurry of strikes, spinning, a foot or hand or even a headbutt at one point meeting the oncoming creatures around her. "I won't say no to escrima, thanks!" she calls up to Hawkeye. She's strong, but these things are literally monsterous...precision strikes only help so much without a lot of power behind them in such cases.

Her eyes flick over the field as she gets some breathing room. "Windy guy, focus on the left side, Hawkeye, right side, split your targets that way!" She shoots a look towards Nico...well, she seems to be okay for the moment, though she starts shifting down the line towards her...just in case she needs cover. She can't see who's doing the plants, exactly...but she's definitely not minding the huge plants that start chomping on the baddies.

Nico Minoru has posed:
The magic user does indeed seem to be okay, at least for the moment. The second creature that was bearing down on her suddenly finds itself floating...unable to move. It is a simple enough of an effect, but seemingly immensely effective as the beast suddenly finds itself without any traction. Nico then pauses, just short enough to assess the situation around her, and tosses the floating beastie towards the vanguard heading to the line that has formed. Even while doing so, the mystically glowing arm raises up, palm outward towards the monstrous missle as Nico speaks another obvious spell...this time without the Staff gesturing.

    "Ton of bricks..."

This time...the flying creature takes on a rather craggy exterior, as it falls onto the oncoming creatures. The projecticle shatters, obviously much heavier than before, as the shrapnel sprays out, taking out a couple more caught in the spray of petrified beastie.

Raphael has posed:
Broken glass, battered shelving, pain. Raph lets out a strained groan as he rolls over and onto his side, rocking several times before he's off the dome of his shell. Shattered glass crunches beneath a pad on his elbow, knicks his hand. His tongue clucks off the back of his teeth. "Shootin' off your big mouth." he chided himself. He was getting to his feet by the time he smelled it, fettid breath, blood and raw meat. A snarl from a inhuman throat.

He came eye to eye with one of the monsters, it's nostrils flared as it drank in his scent, the smell of sweat.. and a liiittle bit of sewer. It huffed, clearing it's nose before lurching forward, stalking him... as much as anything can stalk when it's just a yard or two away.

aph uttered a curse and scooted backwards, pressing his heels to the floor tile. Glass shifts, detritus parts around his shell and then he hits a shelf, anchored, heavy, he stops... and hears the faint rustle of chains.

A glance spots them, galvanized steel, several sizes all on spools. He looks around once more... he was in a hardware store.

Raph wasn't the brightest of the brothers... but living in the sewers, you learned to improvise.

Moments later, there is clanging, bashing, crashing, the creature roars, so does the turtle. the pair emerge a moment later.

Raph sits on the monster's shoulder, a heavy length of chain looped beneath the monster's jaw and in it's mouth like the bridle of a horse. The beast bucks and lurches, it's mutant jockey just barely guiding it with the use of one hand in the chains, yanking it's head this way and that. Raph's other hand holds the pole of a shoval. He whips it around overhead and then swings it around at the side of another monster's head. The shoval rings with satisfying impact as the two barrel about pell mell.

Till (222) has posed:
To be fair, the snappy mouth flowers aren't really EATING the monsters. No throats or stomachs. However, they're certainly trying to take bites, though, with teeth much like thorns in jaws made of vines that have flower petals growing in odd, facelike ways on the other sides. Maybe they're dogwood, a particularly whimsical person might think, since they're trying to grab, bite down, and shake.

As for Till himself? Let any of the creatures get close to where Till's hiding, and they'll get a poke in the eye with that thorn he's broken off, before he finds another hiding place. The thorn is easily larger than half his body height, so it's liable to penetrate some distance into an eye. Probably not far enough to kill immediately. But it probably doesn't feel great to have one's eye poked by a thorn of that length.

Speaking of thorns, the monsters that have the misfortune of bloodying themselves on the thorny plants that are still attached to the ground might get an unpleasant surprise. The thorns on the plants might just start trying to grow INTO the monsters when they puncture the skin! That ought to start anchoring some of these bodies in place.

Sadly Till can't do the same with the thorn he's wielding, since it's no longer attached to a 'living' plant. So he'll just have to settle for doing bad things to eyes and faces if a monster gets too close.

Breath has posed:
Breath visibly drops her head and sighs at the words "Windy guy". Yeesh, maybe she needs the skirt to be longer? Or more padding? Maybe she needs to add some fire engine red lipstick? What-ever.

She looks around, then steps over to a parked car, taking an absurdly big breath in. She holds up two fingers and points them finger-guns style, peering over the top of the car a bit at a crowd. She thinks a moment, "Heads up!" then blows at the side of the car.. which rolls, then gets caught in her breath and goes tumbling on its side down the street more or less toward the monsters! Crash, crunch, smashy.. lots of noise and mayhem... eep, I think that got their attention.. Wait, didn't one of my friends that played MMOs say not to do that?

She uses some of the last bit of her lung capacity to blow in the face of the thingy that is suddenly RIGHT NEXT TO HER EEK! and start sucking in some more air, turning to slam her elbow into the face of another monstery thingy and look around at the swarm rushing toward her. "...Help?"

Hawkeye (Bishop) has posed:
Kate pauses a moment in her fire, drawing the batons from her belt and lobbing them easily for Dinah. "Head's up, Birdie! She should be able to catch them easily as they arc towards her. "They have buttons on the sides, lights up a stun gun kind-of thing, if you need it." she calls.

That done, she goes back to firing, covering the right as requested - firing broadheads, flash-bangs, flares, smoke, hard foam, everything she has. "Running low, here." Hawkeye shouts after a bit. "Going to have to switch to the sword here in a sec."

Grace Choi has posed:
Grace has her warhammer again, and it's skull smashing time as she heaves it over her head, shattering one baby monster skull and cracking the pavement around it, even as she swings around again and 'bats' one of the monsters into the air, "Target for you, Hawkeye," she calls to the archer, even as Nico shatters several of the beasts with the projectiles of her spell. "Damn, girl," Grace says, to Nico. "And I thought my Hephasteus Forged Hammer was fun." It's a high compliment from Grace, Dinah will know, who has - at least up until now, terribly hated magic with all her being. Then again, it's also the first time she's not -fighting- magic, but rather -fighting with- magic. It does tend to turn one's opinion around.
And while Grace's bloody shoulder does seem to be paining her, it's not slowing her down in the least. Again the warhammer swings, this time snapping a beasts leg, and causing it to slide and skid into the ground into a wall.
"Okay," Grace admits, turning around and looking for her next target and catching sight of Raphael as he's definitely turned the creatures to his advantage. "You get cool points for that." It's impressive, seeing the ninja turtle riding the mini-monster like a makeshift horse, and using it to slit-and-slash monsters. "Beer and pizza at Chaney's, after this. Everyone's invited." Nope. She doesn't appear to be interested in going to a hospital, at all.
Two of the creatures howl, scream, as the thorns start to trying to turn them into literally a part of themselves, or maybe turn them into future-fertilizer. One of the beady eyes of the creatures, though, -does- spot Till, suddenly. And it lunges at the tiny Fae, seeking a light morsel of an appetizer.
Two more of the monsters get knocked back, and stunned by the tumbling car that Breath tosses at them, and a few more are caught in Hawkeye's arrows, as the last dozen or so creatures slowly trickle into the killing zone.
In the distance, news seems to be spreading about the creature having been turned around by the heroes in the ocean.

Black Canary has posed:
"Nice when it's not being tossed at us, isn't it!" Dinah comments to Grace. She's noticed the bite...but she knows Grace is tough, so it's not immediately alarming, the way Nico's wound is...she doesn't know how tough the other girl is as of yet. She catches the pair of sticks as they're tossed down. "Groovy, thanks!" she tosses backwards towards Hawkeye, flicking the sticks stun setting on with a twirl of her fingers, before she's back in the fray, slamming them into break points...side of the knee, kidneys, back of the neck, wrists, elbows and...well, she's not above fighting dirty either.

She tilts her head a bit as the report comes over her League com. "They've pushed the momma monster back! The others are pulling back, we just have to hold against the last of them!" she calls, her voice pitching like a loudspeaker briefly so everyone can hear.

She nods in agreement with Grace as Raphael goes riding past. "...points for style." she says with a grin, then breaks ahead of the group for just a moment. "Take'em down and I'll buy!" she adds to Grace's offer, before she inhales, aiming at the last group charging into view.

    *SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE*.

At this point she's mostly making an opening for the others, smashing the monsters off their feet as best she can so they can be finished off.

Nico Minoru has posed:
With her two assailants dealt with, Nico is more than willing to step on behind that line now, with a glance stolen over towards Grace and a slight nod as the squishy mage takes a proper position behind the front line. "Was just trying to not get stomped." is the reply that Nico gives Grace...and it is certainly sincere. Though, it does seem that Nico isn't a stranger to that particular line of fighting, either.

Nico does, fortunately, has the foresight to get behind the line...and Canary...before the Cry is released. A lot better behind the sonic blast than anywhere near the line of fire. And...speaking of knocking them down, the Staff is raised up to the sky as Nico actually allows herself a small smile. "Going for the spare!"

So...yeah, she went for a bowling spell. Thing is, it worked. Those few monsters that the Canary Cry did not knock over are toppled over, laying prone to allow the others ample opportunity to take them out. Only then does she bother to look at her arm, which is still dripping...but not nearly as much as initially. With her witch arm (because what else would you call that purple-glowing thing?), Nico holds her palm over the wound.

Looks like the mage is getting ready to heal herself. She must trust that the others have the situation handled.

Raphael has posed:
Raph spouted each and every Cowboy stereotypical saying he could imagine while he wrestled the monster into his bidding. He whooped and he hollard, swinging that shoval around as he rode like some kind of demented polo-jockey. It wrang and thunked, the edges biting into flesh, the flat cloppering down on bone. "Who's a frog now, huh?!" barked Hopalong Testudine..

It was a good ride while it lasted. Eventually, Silver (as he had come to call his critter) took off at a mad run towards Aubrey 3, 4, and so on. No matter how he yanked the chain, Silver would not waver. It quickly became time to give up the west and Raph dismounted before he found out just how much of their bark made up their bite. If he had lost the troupe in the thick of it, Canary gave him all he needed to find his way back. Of course, none of the beasties were about to just let him stroll back from whence he came. He fought, taking a few more bumps , powerful claws gouging into his shell or raking across it. Clobbering blows knocking him from his feet. Despite his reptilian heritage, Raph was sweating, beads of it dotting his bald pate and soaking ionto the strip of rag that made up his mask.

Thankfully, he had an out in the form of a magic bowling ball that just cleared a path for him in the wake of Dinah's scream... The idea of sticking with a group was becoming a bit more appealing!

Till (222) has posed:
Till is forced from his hiding place to avoid the swipe of a monster's claw. However, he's just a tiny bit too slow, and he gives a quiet yelp as the edge of the monster's claw catches him in the leg. It sends him hurtling to the ground like a bug swatted out of the air. Now he can probably be seen, though the others have their own problems to worry about, like a mass of monsters. Though it's fortunate that he fell when he did, because it puts him out of the way of Canary's Cry.

Following this, though, he quickly gets into the air again, where his mobility is the greatest, and gets the hell away from the monster that swatted him. He's bleeding, yes, but it's his leg, and he doesn't need his leg to fly. For the monsters, he's a small glowing dot, basically, so trying to catch him is going to be like a cat trying to catch the dot of a laser pointer. Which is fortunate, because it's been shown that even the smallest swipe would probably be enough to take him down, with him being so little.

He can hear the report from Black Canary, too. Good, the big 'un has been dealt with, and this is about all of the little ones. Though 'little' in this case is relative; these things are still kaiju to Till!

The bitey flowers -- snap dragons, maybe? -- are all too happy to crunch into Silver, Raphael's improvised mount, once it comes barrelling at them. A lot of their bark is bite, it seems. Interlocking rows of thorns should be pretty effective at chewing through monster flesh.

There is, however, still an issue. The one with the super breath seems to be having some trouble. She's a little too far away from nature for the plants to grow up under her to help. Till has been trying to ring the whole area with plantlife. Partly for keeping the monsters corralled, and partly because it would give him multiple vectors of attack. Or, in this case, vectors of defense.

In this case, he tries to reach the vines across to where Breath is, and try and 'grab' the monsters by their legs before they can give Breath too much trouble or swarm her too much. Hopefully this means Breath will be able to knock them all down herself.

Breath has posed:
Breath backs off quickly and starts blowing the things rushing her toward the others, making an arc to push them all into a tighter clump with the others. "..windy... GIRL, damn it!" She seethes and takes another deep breath, somehow NOT being harassed by monsters that are being slowed down just barely enough by vines and weeds then looks down the street.. she's next to the storefronts now and there are monsters in front of her.

Buildings in Metropolis aren't usually built to withstand TORNADOES.. the windows aren't attached all that great.. so when she starts blowing along the edge of them down at the "killing ground", large sheets of plate glass start getting sucked out of their windowframes and launched at high speed down that way, sometimes bouncing off the ground and shattering in the air into sharp slashy triangles of broken glass. Hopefully, that's going to actually catch enough of them!

Hawkeye (Bishop) has posed:
Hawkeye's quiver is getting low, as mentioned, but she has a few more. One arrow goes into the monster Grace jugggled into the air. "Thanks!" Finally, the shafts are gone and when she reaches back for another arrow her fingers close only on empty air. "Damn!" she curses.

She folds her bow, collapsing it and putting it in the quiver, a broadsword is drawn from over her right shoulder and down she hops, to join the line - swinging, kicking, punching as needed when a foe comes too close. "I think we're winning!"

Grace Choi has posed:
Black Canary's cry stuns nearly half of the remaining monsters, and two or three of the stunned beasts slip, and trip over their dead comrades, while another one sees the dead carcass of its own sibling and begins to devour it, crunching bone, and shredding meat with its maw, indiscriminate of where it gets its food, only the urge to -feed- upon it.
"Have some respect," Grace tells the snacking six-foot-tall monster, before slugging it in the skull, crushing it to bits.
"I don't suppose Legs and I can keep you?" Grace asks Nico, "You're mighty damn useful." She watches as there is some space made with the rest before yelling at Raphael, "Welcome back. Thought you were riding into the sunset, there, Butch Cassidy." That, apparently, is going to be Raphael's new name as far as Grace is concerned. And all in all? Not a bad moniker to get 'saddled' with.
As Till evades the monster, exactly like a laser pen and the monster, single-minded, furiously chases Till to literally no avail, it winds up becoming 'stuck' in the rest of the snapping, gnawing plants, it's blood flowing down into the plants root system as one who listens to the plants might hear them chant: 'Blood makes the grass grow, kill, kill, kill!' and Till still evades notice, at least by Grace, even as the plants reach out to strangle and capture one of the creatures that'd gotten past the others and was making for Breath.
The unknown 'hero', Breath, meanwhile, herds the remaining stragglers, the final numbers as no new numbers are pouring into the pre-made killzone as glass, papers, and everything else goes flying with the creatures in the massive wind. Hopefully Till is able to withstand the massive gale.
Another creature or two stops to begin to feed on their siblings, as well. Ready meat. Fresh blood. They can't resist, and it seems that no new creatures are emerging. This may very well be the very last of the numbers, finally.
"Finish 'em off," Grace calls, heaving her warhammer against her shoulder for a final few swings.

Black Canary has posed:
Black Canary has a moment to catch her breath as the rest of the group goes rushing at the battered monsters, enough that she can pause to note wht Breath says and does this time as the wind rushes into the monsters, knocking more of them back. "...Windy GIRL." she corrects herself, grinning a bit at her as she watches the creatures go spinning down the street. "Nice." And the windows...weeeeell, they're likely insured.

She charges after Grace at that point, spinning the sticks as she begins brutally smashing into the last of them, going for the downed ones before they can get back to their feet, crushing throats or driving the stunning end of the sticks into the criters. She doesn't have a hammer or a sai or arrows, but she's perfectly willing to set the critters up for the finishing blow, moving more to disable or distract as she goes through them like a miniature tornado, her blonde hair trailing behind her as it follows her sharp movements. Then she bursts free the other side, spinning to skid to a stop, falling into a defensive stance as she watches to see if any further strikes are needed.

She doesn't think it will be....this seems like an experienced group.

Nico Minoru has posed:
Nico isn't necessarily the melee type. As such, she just doesn't charge in to knock the prone monsters out or anything quite as martially spectacular as Canary or the rest. However, what she does do is a bit of cleanup. Carcasses of creatures float up...one at a time, and pile up in the middle of the patch of angry plants. So what if some of the bodies air-lifted are not quiet dead....the thorns and plants make short work of those.

In the meantime, Nico is moving from one person to the next, checking on injuries. Her own seems rather healed...no doubt a little magic to make that happen. A wink is tipped to Grace as Nico works on the shoulder, incanting something suspiciously sounding like a cleric spell from D&D. "I think Traci may want to keep me for a while. But...be happy to help whenever." The spell doesn't impede on Grace at all...but it does certainly make the shoulder feel and look better.

Raphael has posed:
I see it, I see what you did there.

"Bit early for my credits to start rolling, Lady." Raph retorts, tuging the lapels of his tattered trench coat. It shows blood, some of it his, and swaths of green skin or shell here and there. The coats a loss but it still looks snappy.. in that bloody, tattered sort of way. He'd keep the name. He was already due some trouble when he got home for breaking cover this much. No need to let it get any worse...

The call was given for a last push. Raph mustered himself, "Alright, time to put babies to bead." he uttered, pulling his sais back from his belt with another, minor flourish. He flew in readily, bounding in with sharp, swift kicks or sudden jabs from his daggers. Dipping into eyes or throats, diving between ribs. As a rule, the turtles tried not to kill 'people' but when they encountered things like these, they could prove themselves quyite deadly indeed. Splinter didn't have the reservations of certain other masters, with-holding those fatal moves. Raph was far from a a master, of course it showed here and there. A good foundation of skillsthat needed more polish, but still capable. He put down several more as he went, his heart beating hard against the back of his shell.

Till (222) has posed:
It's true, blood does nourish the plants. It has lots of good stuff plants need -- they do still sell blood meal for plants, after all. What monsters are caught, the vines may start to grow roots into them, to drain out their vital fluids. That may very well be the fate of those bloodied and caught on the thorns, too. Plants can grow roots from any part of itself that's buried, after all, and it doesn't have to be buried in the ground. It's nature in action: devouring that which falls, ensuring that its vitality is not wasted, returning it to the earth from which all things sprang.

Though no, Till is not equipped to deal with gale-force winds. With a loud, "Gwah!" the tiny fae is swept back into the vines himself. Though unlike the monsters, the vines actually LIKE him. Demonstrated when a leaf sprouts, and then unfurls in a shape like a tiny catcher's mitt behind him. He's smart enough to fold his wings down so they make a single line down his back instead of being splayed out to his sides. So the impact still hurts, but it doesn't do as much damage as it might have -- he's not going away from this with broken wings, and that's what's important.

The vines are indeed quite willing to accept Nico's offerings of monsters. Even if, as she figured, said monsters aren't quite dead. Between bitey flowers and thorny vines, the Earth drinks deep of vitality! Though that said, the bitey flowers seem to have calmed down, remaining idle until the monsters are near them rather than actively going after them now. The astute may notice their colors quickly growing less vibrant, the edges of the petals starting to curl up, and the vines becoming lighter; perhaps they're starting to lose strength.

Breath has posed:
Breath starts running back towards everybody, since it seems as though everything she did made her run away a bit more. If there's anything wandering around loose though, it's getting launched back towards someone a bit better at squishing monsters without improvised property damage. Not a lot to work with at this stage, though! She comes running up to the edge of the other heroes and looks around for any other hot spots or worries. "O-kay! So-oo... now what?"

Grace Choi has posed:
Between the collective resources of the plants, Nico's discarding and removal of bodies -into- the plants, Dinah's set-up, Raphael's sai-work, and the final wet 'thud' of Grace's hammer into the last skull, the half-Amazon breaths a heavy breath. She looks around, then looks around again, slowly turning 'round and 'round.
"Looks like we got the last of 'em," she says, hefting her bloodied warhammer over her bloodied, but now very healed shoulder. She wipes her brow, "Hey, Magic Momma, toss Butch Cassidy there some of that patch-up mojo, if you still have any left?" She asks, having noticed Raphael's wounds.
There are, though, dozens of the creatures carcasses on the ground. Against the sides of buildings. Shattered skulls. Wrecked bodies. Everywhere. It's a veritable mess. Grace grunts, "I'll bet STAR Labs is going to have a -field day- with this," she mentions, ruefully. "Not my problem. Couldn't let these bastards trash my street. How else would I get to work?" Oddly enough? The 7' tall woman seems quite serious about it all.
She looks over at Dinah, "You okay, Legs?" Then, glancing at the others, "We're all alive, yeah? And okay?"

Black Canary has posed:
From her expression, it takes Grace's reminder for Dinah to remember the cut on her side. "Mmm...flesh wound. You?" she says, eying Grace's bloody shoulder as she holds up a finger for a moment, reaching up to touch the pendant around her neck. "This is Canary. Zone 12 clear for emergency crews and police support. No casualties, minor injuries." She lowers the finger once she's made her report. "Nicely done, everyone..." she says simply, hands on her hips, then nods at Grace's addition. "Anyone hurt? EMTs will be moving into the area, or...'

She glances at Nico, raising a brow. "...some of you don't need help to heal, looks like.' she says, glancing at her arm thoughfully, then looks a bit more concerned at Raphael's wounds. "Or if you'd rather, I can arrange for some more discrete medical attention." she say simply. It's something the Watchtower does these days....there are too many heroes who would rather not have their identity compromised or just like to avoid public attention.

She does offer her hand to those she doesn't know well, which is...well, everyone but Grace. "Black Canary...good work, all of you."

Nico Minoru has posed:
"Nico. Nico Minoru." Not that the name is going to mean anything to Canary, at all. Nico does offer a slight smile as she steps over to the large turtle, without so much as batting an eye, and murmurs another spell...yet another from a fantasy game, it sounds like. And yet, it does the job, as the wounds upon Raph start to close. It certainly does help to have a magic user around, it seems.

However, Nico doesn't do too much more. She chuckles softly, though she does look just a bit tired. "Well....I couldn't just stand around. Not when I could do something about it." With a sigh from Nico, the Staff in her hand seems to retreat...back into gothic spellcaster once more. "Happy to help..."

Raphael has posed:
Raph is left panting, seated on a carcas, sais dangling from his fingers, hunched forward while he catches his breath. That was a bit more heavy then a training session or a brawl with a few corner-store robbers. He was bloodied and bruised... or he was until Nico started throwing that magic, healing shade under her breath.

He fixed her with a cock-eyed look when she stepped near, his weapons firming in his grip. He was about to rise and offer challenge when she began to speak. He felt the ache and sting of bruises and lacerations begin to fade, flesh knitting and discolored flesh returning to that healthy, dark shade of mottled green here and there where he took his lumps.

Raph gawped in wonder, looking here and there as this or that mended, even a fine crack in his shell began to heal over, "Thats..." he didn't really have any words for it, "It... I wasn't that bad off!" he tried to defend himself for some reason, features shifting sourly, "But still, thanks."

Till (222) has posed:
Once the monsters have been dealt with, Nature seems to relinquish its grip on the area. The bitey flowers will soon fade, withering and dropping off to decay into nothing pretty quickly. The vines will detangle and retreat, for the most part, though some will remain on buildings and trees. And also on -- and probably IN -- that one poor car that happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time when he needed to grow stuff up over to get to monsters.

However, the area won't just go back to the way it was. Any trees in the area, if they survived the struggle, may seem a great deal greener and more vibrant. The grass likely well-manicured grass will have grown to just higher than the knees. And all around the area, in a circle ringing the perimeter of the 'killzone', a great deal of wildflowers will be starting to bloom, bright and beautiful in the wake of the carnage.

Till would go and introduce himself as-is, but the Fae take that whole 'don't lift the veil' rule pretty seriously. Being just a tiny little Wyldfae, it would be less effort to just smite him for breaking the rules than it would be to allow him to explain himself. So instead the tiny green speck of light darts into the disappearing vines.

A few moments later though, a brown-haired, green-eyed teenager dressed in a t-shirt and jeans pokes his head out from behind a tree, blinking at the group. "...Are they all gone now?" he asks, with a voice that's slightly lower than might be expected from his apparent light frame.

Breath has posed:
Breath uhms, and clears her throat a bit, self-conscious that she might have let her voice slip a bit in the fight. "I'm good!" She looks herself over a bit, and pokes and prods a little, putting one foot behind her ankle nervously. "Nothing a hot soak won't fix, anyway. I think I'm going with 'Breath' unless there's something better? I haven't checked to see if that's some name I don't know about." She gives a nice girly fingers-shake to the offered hand, straightens her hair a bit, and looks around at the others.

Hawkeye (Bishop) has posed:
Hawkeye sheathes her sword and heads back to the knot of heroes. "Good job, people. Really good." and she's looking for wounded costumed people. Grace is hurt. "Hey... are you going to be alright? You're not going to explode or something from that bite, are you?" Actually, most of the others are hurt too. Luckily, she spent most of her time on a van roof. "Nice working with you all." she's starting to hear approaching sirens. "If the police are coming, I probably should take off. There might be some more of these things running around loose. I'll see what I can do to finish them off too."

Grace Choi has posed:
"Me? Nah. I'll be fine, Nico here healed me up, but I would've been fine in a few hours. Fought through lots worse then this. Got caught in an explosion, once. Lost half my skin. That sucked." Grace, oddly, doesn't seem to be joking around, her features rather flat, and if anything, thoughtful at the memory. "Thanks, though." She nods to Kate. Then, she's looking at the 'newcomer', to the group. "Let me guess," she asks towards to Teenage Boy #1, "You're the resident florist? Nice work," she says, approvingly.
She shifts her hammer a bit, patting it, and telling Dinah, "Got this from Ares, when I helped him kill Phobos. Named it Bitchmaker. Fits, yeah?" Because she made all those monsters her ...
But her eyes shift over to Breath. "Breath? You don't want people thinking you're some kind of mint, do you? Maybe Gale? Airforce? Windy?" Grace probably isn't the best at names. She grins, sheepishly, scratches the back of her neck, "Good job, either way. Thanks for the assist. Hard to get all of them as they were coming in."
She turns to the group, "But I did promise everyone pizza, and beer. And, Canary said she was buying. We're meeting over at Chaney's, if folk want. It's my bar. Well. I work there. Don't own it. But. It's cool. Metahuman. So folk won't blink at you, there, Butch Cassidy, if you want to tag along. Like I said. Seen weirder. At the bar. Don't even get me started on what I saw in Brazil."

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah shakes everyone's hand firmly, or as firmly as she can in Breath's case, then rolls her eyes playfully at Grace's name for her hammer. "Of course it is." she says amusedly. "Ares, huh? Guy gets around." she says thoughfully. She looks over as the first emergency vehicles and SHIELD cleanup units start entering the area to start policing the area. "...looks like we're good to go...or raincheck, if any of you have a need to run off." she says with a faint smile to Hawkeye, nodding at her. "But you're welcome to stop by when you can if you need some time." She pauses. "...though beer only for those of age." She's got to be the responsible one.

Raphael has posed:
With the offer to tag along extended, Raph seems.. honestly torn. Brows furrow faintly and his lips part... If it's meta-friendly then.. Why do they have to hide out anyway, they could just say their're mutants, well, Mutants, or inhumans... or alians! But... But Splinter always says that they need to stick to the shadows.

His gaze shifts, turning this way and that... So much for the shadows.

"Have to turn you down there, Lady. Been flashing my handsome mug around enough already..." he rocks forward, hands braced on his knees as he rises. Reaching back he produces some ramshackle sort of grapple-gun and directs it towards a roof-top, "Besides, I'm only 18."

There is a pop of twang as the spring loaded bolt fires off, the cablke feeding out behind it. It finds home and pulls taught, carrying him away... back into the shadows!

Till (222) has posed:
The teenager nods to Grace's question. "Yup! That was me!" he admits, grinning like a little imp. he did indeed just admit to creating those Photoshop Flowey things. Dinah's words of beer get a nod. "That's fine," he agrees. "Really, most beer tastes funny to me anyway. Nobody really makes ale anymore. Like, REAL ale. Not like they used to." Which... is kind of odd for him to say given his apparent age...

Raphael seems not to be up for it, and honestly Till can understand why. So when he makes to rocket away, Till offers a wave. "Bye!" he all but chirps happily as the turtle ziplines away into the city. "Take care!"

Breath has posed:
Breath uhms.. "I don't even know where that is.." She looks a little bit uneasy at the police, but doesn't vanish, instead hanging closer to the heroes that look like they get along with those types. She looks a little bit dissapointed as the green guy vanishes - freaks gotta stick together after all. "aw." She crosses her arms behind her back and looks around. "So, uhm.. This is usually the part that I have to run away because it's just me? And I don't want to get the meanie cop? So what are we doing now?"

Hawkeye (Bishop) has posed:
"Thanks for the offer." Kate says. "I probably should head out. I'll take a raincheck." and she gives everyone a quick wave and heads out before the authorities arrive and want some questions answered.

Grace Choi has posed:
"Looks like most of us are going our separate ways," Grace answers to Breath, shrugging as most, save Canary and Till, don't seem to be up for Chaney's. "Your bike around here, Canary? Flower Boy can ride with me. If Breath is going, she can ride with you?"
Meanwhile Grace does a violent shake of her hammer a few times, to get off some of the monoster blood, and guts that are sticking stubbornly to it. "Better not stain," she side-comments, to herself.

Black Canary has posed:
Canary hmmmms as Raph vanishes so quickly, but nods as Kate heads off and Nico too. "Another time then." At Grace's question, she smiles. "Sure, I can take a rider..." she says, glancing at Breath. "If you want, that is?" She mmphs as a bit of the splatter flicks onto her cheek. "Hey! Watch it!" she grumbles

Till (222) has posed:
"Well, I'm kind of hungry, so I'm going to go with them," Till notes to Breath, indicating Grace and Dinah. "Why don't you do that too? It might be safer, if you don't like the police." There are people who don't. Including him, since he doesn't have a paper trail, which means bad things for an apparent kid -- orphanages, foster care, all that stuff. Bleh!

Grace's nickname gets a grin. "Hehe... 'Flower Boy' sounds funny. My name is Till, though," he offers. Also sure, he'll ride with Grace. He's pretty light even by human standards, and Grace's strength is probably quite a bit higher than that!

Breath has posed:
Breath says, "Um... Sure! I can get a ride." She goes over and arranges herself carefully before trying to get onto the thing. "Um.. Lead on?"
