Blink has posed:
It's past the hours when the public would be wandering through the halls oo'ing and ah'ing at the giant statues of heroes past and present. The last of the cleaners has finished their mopping and headed off home for the day, the door closing behind them as the lock falls back into place with a solid sounding -Click!-.

Unbenknownst to this cleaner, almost at exactly the same time a -Blink!- can be heard deeper into the hall as a portal blossoms in mid-air about eight feet from the ground. Through which falls... A Blink!

Dressed in her 'hero'ing' garb of deep green lycra cycling shorts and a dress that seems to be loosely based on the chinese style. Fitted around the torso before splitting to two loose strips of cloth that allow her ease of movement whilst giving some thought to her modesty.

Her soft brown suede boots make nearly no noise as the young mutant closes her entrance behind her and takes a few steps towards one of the statues; "Wooooah... These are /huge/!" She comments quietly to herself...

Aquaman has posed:
It isn't long after Blink arrives, that there is a quick flash of light beyond one of the doors, a Zeta Beam delivering Arthur Curry to theh all of Justice.

The door opens, and out steps Arthur, clad in his Atlantean armor, and his Trident held in hand as he shifts his gaze towards the woman in Lycra shorts and the high cut dress. "Yes, We wanted them to be as close to life size as we could get them." He comments, stepping in towards where Blink stands, his brow raising just a touch, "How can I help you?"

Blink has posed:
Blink jumps... Not only that, she /squeaks/ as she does so. It's most certainly /not/ the first impression she wanted. So she quickly covers it up with her best Blase Grin, hand on hip as she eyes the big guy speculatively with those softly glowing green eyes of hers.

"You're Aquaman huh?" She purposely let's her eyes wander for a few moments before adding, "Well Tall Dark and Aquatic, I had /this/!" She holds up a small piece of slightly battered card. A membership invitation card no less. "The screaming woman gave it to me, said I had some skills you guys might be able to use." She adds, slipping the card away back into a pouch at her belt. "So here I am!"

Aquaman has posed:
"Arthur is fine." Arthur says in response to the woman's words, looking her over just a bit as he looks at the card before glancing up at the woman, "And who is it you might be, and what skills do you have that would be invaluable?"

Arthur makes a slight gesture towards Blink, indicating he should follow as he starts to walk across the room towards the door that leads into the Museum, "And it takes more then just having the right skill set to be a part of the Justice League. There are mainy powerful and gifted individuals in the world, afterall."

Blink has posed:
Falling into step beside him, Blink listens as he explains how exclusive the club is. With a bright grin, she laces her fingers behind her head as she walks, still looking about. "Well I can open portals, that's how I got in by the way. To anywhere I've been, or if I've seen a lot of photo's I can normally get there within a few attempts..." And she's getting better at that too!

"And then there's these..." One hand is held out, a soft -Blink!- as a three foot crystal shard appears in her hand, itself glowing with a bluey-purple light. "Anything I hit with these I can port wherever. Blondie saw me take on those AIM guys that tried to take kids in cages..." Her grin turns more vicious. "I wasn't about to let /that/ happen... so jumped in with the rest of the helpers..."

Aquaman has posed:
"I see." Arthur says, nodding his head a bit as he listens to the woman's words, glancing over towards her a bit, "I'll have to discuss that encounter with Canary at some point, I suspect." He says with a soft chuckle.

"In the meantime, why don't we start with you telling me a bit about yourself? Who are you, what do you do, why are you interested in joining us, for starters."

Blink has posed:
The girl listens as they walk, taking note of the blonde woman's hero name and filing it away for later. "Canary, right..." She comments softly, but he's still talking and that's got to be a good sign right? It's not like he's throwing her out straight away...

"Me? Well let's see, my code name's Blink, because of the noise my portals make." The shard of cyrstal vanishes with the same -Blink!- noise to demonstrate. "I'm nearly nineteen, I live on Genosha. I run aid missions for the Brotherhood, getting food and meds to mutants in need. Though hopefully I'm going to be helping out on something /bigger/ soon..." There's a hopeful note in the teens voice, having sounded a little bored with the milk runs. "Let's see... Other than that I get out and about to help when I can. I've worked with Nightwing and Imbroglio... And then that AIM thing, kinda thought that might get on the news..." Then there's a pause as she mulls something over. "I'm kinda here to see if I /want/ to join though. I mean, sure it's the /Justice League/, so that's pretty cool just to be invited. But this is as much for me to check out you guys as visa versa..." Her Barbadian accent helps smooth off any sting from the last scentence, but her grin never wavers.

Aquaman has posed:
"The Brotherhood is not always painted in the brightest of lights." Arthur observes, "It may be a point of concern for some, Blink. Some of their members have dones some terrible things, I understand." He says, inclining his head slightly.

"The others, I am sure, would like to meet you sometime, talk with you, see you in action. We do not deal with simple, or easy matters either, there is serious risk with what we do during a crisis.

Blink has posed:
"Oh I've heard all about /that/." Blink agrees with Arthur's comment about the Brotherhood. "But really, it's pretty much all propoganda, or taken out of context. One man's freedom fighter and all that..." She waves it away, having had that argument too many times of late.

"And sure thing! I didn't expect to just pop in, get a badge and run off. Sabretooth has been training me in hand to hand and survival skills. I'm far more capable than I look." The elfin eared teen grins again, adding; "And if you're /really/ worried about Brotherhood stuff, I've also been invited to Xavier's school, which I think is better thought of? So I'm definitely /not/ a bad egg." She says that with certainty, magenta hair bobbing as she gives it a firm nod.

Aquaman has posed:
"I did not think you were a bad egg, Blink." Arthur agrees with a little nod of his head towards the Magenta haired one. "History is full of men doing terrible things in the name of Freedom, though."

"Why is it you might be interested in joining the Justice League? What motivates you to take that step? It sounds like you have a lot on your plate already, a prestigious academy, aid work in Genosha, fighting AIM, many other things as well, no doubt."

Blink has posed:
"Oh! Well most of what I do is off my own back really..." Her grin turns sheepish. "Mister Creed doesn't like me getting into danger that much... Though what he thinks he's training me for is beyond me if not that..." She snorts lightly, shaking her head a little.

"I guess I want to /help/ really. To make a difference. I'm not really helping Xavier's yet, though I've been invited to be in a play there. Guess it's their first step in trying to recruit me..." She gives the big Atlantean a wink. "To work with the Justice League is to /really/ help the world you know? And you folks could use a fast response system that can get you to places in under six seconds..." She jabs her own chest with her thumb; "I can do that."

Aquaman has posed:
Arthur Curry glances over and nods his head as the woman jabs at her chest. "Some of us can get places incredibly quickly, but I understand what you mean." He agrees, "I have asked a lot of questions of you. You, no doubt, have many questions for me, I must imagine. Do not hesitate to ask anything."

Blink has posed:
/Anything/? Oh it's clear he doesn't know the quick-witted teen at all! Taking a deep breath she asks; "Sooo, what's the work load like? Are missions a frequent thing? Do you do peace keeping and diplomacy stuff too? Where do you go to, I've heard that some of the stuff is out in /space/!" A beat, and she grins; "I've opened a portal on the /moon/ once, but it was pretty dangerous, kept trying to suck all the air out the room..." She drifts off, remembering that... Somewhere in space there's a lost plushie floating.

"How come you're here on your own now? Do you folks /live/ here? If not is there pay? Do we need to commit a certain amount of time, or is it a 'mission comes above your other agreements' kinda thing? Do I need to speak to Magento before deciding anything here, or someone else high in in the brotherhood?" She pauses, taking another breath - clearly ready to go on...

Aquaman has posed:
Arthur Curry starts to speak as soon as there's that little break, "It can be heavy, and quiet, I run a kingdom, and Diana, Wonder Woman, represents hers, and Batman of course protects his City, so there is room for pursuits outside of the Justice League."

"The Missions are the sort that require you to drop everything at a moments notice and come rushing, there is no asking for permission, no waiting for class to end. The sort of things we deal with are often existential threats to earth, and sometimes beyond, yes. You should speak with the Green Lantern, or the Martian Manhunter about matters of Space, at some point, perhaps. And no, we do not live here, we all have our own accomodations, and I do not believe there is a paycheck for being in the Justice League."

Blink has posed:
"Well that's easy enough then! I'm not in classes, unless you count training. And that's easy enough to drop for something /important/!" The pinky-purple girl gives the big guy her best grin. See? Totally helpful. And friendly to boot!

"Sure, I'll talk to those two when I see them." She adds, making a mental note to say 'Aquaman sent me' when she does so. She's sure that'll get her an in! "So you're like... A king then? Or an Emporer? I just know you're like /crazy/ strong and can talk to fish." Which is probably a terrible simplification of the effective Lord of the Sea.

"Sooo, yeah! That's about it really. Seems like a good outfit to join, even without the pay. Plenty of time to find ways to get food and eat later anyway!"

Aquaman has posed:
"I'm the King of Atlantis, yes, not an Emporer, and I am quite strong, I can lift an ocean liner, but I don't actually speak with fish. That's more of a misnomer, something from the press really. I can, however, telepathically control the creatures of the sea, not just fish either." Arthur says with a soft chuckle. "Well, if you've no other questions.. how might we be able to get in touch with you if we wanted to speak with you, or something, Blink?"

Blink has posed:
Having expected that question, the girl produces another scrap of paper from her pouch, proffering it to Arthur. "My cell number. Just throw me a text though, I'm likely to be elsewhere when you do, and I wouldn't want to cost you a ton phoning Genosha!" Blink grins as she does her little pouch back up.

"Thanks for talking to me uh, King Arthur..." She actually has to fight back a laugh at that, but she manages it, the grin just seeming that much wider for a moment. "I'll let you get back to the job of doing what you do." Her hand flicks out to the left, creating a rent in the air through which he can see a tropical beach, clear water and bleached sand. "Catch you next time 'kay?" She winks again, ready to hop on through.

Aquaman has posed:
Arthur Curry reaches to accept the scrap of paper procured from the pouch, glancing at it then nodding his head towards Blink. "You are welcome, Blink, and if you happen to find Excalibur on your explorations, let me know, I've been looking all over for it. Enjoy the beach." He adds.

Blink has posed:
She doesn't know whether to take him seriously or not, so instead with that same bright grin she offers; "Sure thing, if I see it, I'll let you know!" And then she's through the portal, boots crunching on the soft sand. A quick blown kiss is the last thing he sees as the portal snaps shut with a soft -Blink!- leaving him to blink the sun spots out of his eyes in the evening-darkened room...
