Location: Xavier's School
Synopsis: Yana visits Alexia in the infirmary.
Cast of Characters: Black Rose, Tendril

Black Rose has posed:
Yana hadn't been a terrible amount of help, in Paris. At least, that's the way some might feel - she'd been late to the wedding, and only heard about the couple friends she had as well as schoolmates getting hospitalized, to find that Alexia had gone feral. The most she'd done was gotten the room prepped for Alexia's return, and some food going to be ready on Alexia's return to that room with Tabitha. She'd been quiet, almost insular, the plane ride home as she watched how everyone else interacted, reacted.
Once everyone had gotten back to school, and Alexia had been confined to the infirmary for the next who-knows-how-long, though, and when Tabitha wasn't about, Yana had come to see her friend. And, Yana, being Yana, had brought something hidden up her sleeve. A decadent chocolate bar.
After being granted permissiont to see her friend by the visiting physician, Yana had made her way into her friends room, closing the door behind herself after knocking twice, and coming in. "Hey, you," she calls, in friendly tone. "You awake?"

Tendril has posed:
Alexia is propped up on her side, the sheet resting over her, having dressed down in a comfy t-shirt and shorts, barefoot otherwise. She looks up from the tablet she's poking around on, then her eyes light up. "Yana!" She sits up, flushing a bit. "Hi. Um...Tabby and Dani told me you helped them find me. Thanks..." she says, looking embarrassed. "I'm sorry you saw me like that." She does look a bit better now, some of her curves having returned, rather than the slightly starved look she had before. She's got a bandage around her waaist you can see as the shirt rides up a bit.

Black Rose has posed:
"Mmhmm. I did. I'm sorry I didn't make it to the wedding. I heard, a little, of what you all went through." She frowns, the fact she wasn't there to help seems to bother her. Afterall - it would've been her first real combat experience apart from the events with the Evos. Her first real -team- effort, to build up rapport.
She moves over to Alexia's bed, sitting on the side of it, and slides the chocolate bar down her sleeve, presenting it with a complete lack of fan-fare or talent for sleight of hand. "Brought you a present."

Tendril has posed:
Lexi's eyes widen in delight as she reaches out then carefully palms the bar and hiding it under her pillow. "Thanks!" she says more softly, then leans over to give Yan a firm hug. "...I'm glad you weren't there." she says softly. "I mean, I know you can take care of yourself, but...it was...." She shivers a bit. "...it was brutal. I don't now what was going on, Mr. Labeau died and, and, there were these demons and this silver haired girl with six arms and this blonde girl who has her own private HELL apparently, and, and, and EVERYONE seems like they just are accepting this!" the girl quietly wails.

Black Rose has posed:
"Welcome," returns Yana, with a rather wide smile. Such a smile fades, though, as Alexia goes further into what happened, she nods a little. "I've heard some of it," she agrees. She considers Alexia's words, and suggests, "Which means one of a few things. That they were prepared for it, and the simulations in the school are more than just for ability training. That they've been through such ordeals before. Or, worse, that they were expecting it. I'd not think the latter, because of what happened, and everyone's reactions. So, it'd be one of the former two. Or, possibly, both." She frowns, just a little more, then shrugs some. "Either way, I suppose we'll find out sooner, rather than later. And that means we should keep working on your training, apart from what the teachers will have you doing."

Tendril has posed:
Lexi nods slowly after a moment, still looking a little freaked out by the idea. I mean, how do you adjust to alien sorceress girls just trying to kill you because you're a student at the school? "...that...that would explain th' room downstairs. Why it's so fancy." she says, leaning back to look up into your eyes as she perches on the edge of the bed. "...oh...oh Yana, thank you..." she says softly, smiling a bit. "...I...I woulda thought ta make a shield if ya hadn't shown me. Tabby...I coulda been dead...." she says softly, reaching down to touch the wound at her abdomen, then reaches out to take the other girl's hands, squeezing them gently.. "There were eight of those spike things....I blocked most of them with my tendrils. An' it hurt, but...it coulda been -so- much worse."

She gets a determined look. "...yah. I wanna do more. As soon as they'll let me outta here.

Black Rose has posed:
Yana smiles, sharply. It softens, quickly and she moves to reach a hand to grasp the other girls, warmly. "Good. Glad you're such a quick learner, and my own training can help you. You're my girl, right? My right hand girl. My best friend. Tabitha might be your lover, but you're my girl," she encourages, with a friendly, sisterly tone. "We won't let each other down."
She exhales, "Now, if I could just get Tabitha off my -ass- for trying to help you, then all would be well. Going to talk to Dani, about that. She seems to know Tabitha pretty well. And, Dani has a really good head on her shoulders."

Tendril has posed:
Lexi gets a deep flush as you call it like it is with Tabby, but nods with a smile at the other girl. "I am." she says firmly. "Tabby doesn't change that." Though as you go on to the problems of TAbitha, she sighs, then looks down, looking sheepish. "...um...because she's totally sure yer ya wanna smooch me and sweep me away ta date me. Like, she SUPER thinks ya have a major thing for me an' you're gonna have your hands all over me th' moment ya get the chance..."

Black Rose has posed:
"Right. Because," Yana says, her voice dripping with sarcasm so much it's blatantly obvious, "I set the both of you up, told you about her crush on you, and pushed the two of you together because I am an evil mastermind who just wants to screw her over and steal you from her at a time of my choosing, when I can crush her," and her voice takes on a rough, but perfect Russian accent, "Like I crush Moost and Squirrel!"
Her eyes roll, "Give me a break." She exhales, shaking her head, "So, she thinks that girls can't just be friends, and that all girls are lesbians, or, what?"

Tendril has posed:
Lexi flushes. "I know! I know." she says with a sigh. "No, no, it's not that at all, I think she's just...like, she feels like yer a rival that she hasta compete against? Maybe cuz she feels like...I dunno. That she's scared she's gonna lose me somehow." She frowns. "...bein' in here didn't help a lot with her bein' scared, she really freaked out. An'...I think she feels like she was weak in front of ya and that you won't respect her an' stuff, so she's all defensive now too."

Black Rose has posed:
"She's right about one thing. I don't have any respect for her," Yana agrees. "Not her attitude, or her personality, at anyrate. She showed good skill on the simulation we ran together, however." Yana is nothing if not honest. And she'll give Tabitha credit where it's due. "But when I try to take control of a situation because I know better, and she yells at me - who made you boss - and then acts in completely contradiction what I've asked?" Yana shakes her head, "She seems - immature." She puts it nicely, for Lexi's sake, apparently.
She exhales, some, smiles, wryly. "Sorry. Came to see you. Not bitch about her. You doing okay?"

Tendril has posed:
Lexi does wince a little bit at the blunt appraisal, now a little defensive herself. "Well...I don't know about everythin' but...Dani an' Tabitha, I think..I think they've had a LOT more trainin' than they let on at first. Dani said she was a team leader before an' I thought that was just, like, for sports, but...maybe she's feelin' like ya haven't been here to give her orders or somethin' yet." She holds up her hands. "I'm not sayin' you can't, though! Yer good at orders! Ya know stuff." She lowers her hands again, then sighs. "...I'll talk to her if ya want? I want...I care a lot about both of ya, I want you to at least get along." she admits softly."

She sighs, then mmms, before she reaches down to lift up her shirt a bit, wiggling around carefully. Big bandage around her misection, with thicker padding over a spot at the front and back, as well as numerous smaller bandages running up and down her back over her tattoo. "It's okay...it's healing. It mostly itches now." she admits, wiggling. "An' I can't itch cuz it hurts when I actually put pressure on it and try ta twist ta reach..." She grumbles. "I need, like, a scratchin' thingee."

Black Rose has posed:
"You can talk to her if you want, but, I'm not either asking you to, or telling you not to do it." Of course, Yana knows that means Alexia will, but Yana prefers to keep up her measured indifference. Still, she considers, "I suppose par of that is true. But, I'd certainly relent if someone knew what they were talking about," she tells Alexia, "Until they showed a measure of incompetence. But I suppose that's me." She shrugs, "I'll think about that." She is willing at the very least, as she's proven before, she's willing to reconsider, alter her methods. She has been, afterall, used to people doing what she asked them to do. Even Diya, and Alexia have. And Dani mostly has, as well in their limited exchanges.
"Here." Yana gently 'itches' the spot that Alexia is indicating, then asks casually, "Your tendrils won't do the job for you? I can get you a back-scratcher."

Tendril has posed:
Alexia huffs, folding her arms as she lets her shirt drop. "The nurse said I can't use my tendrils for a few more days yet, cuz they're not sure how how much it pulls on the healin' muscles an' stuff. I told them it'd be fine, I've done it before when I was hurt this bad, but they won't believe me!" she says, sounding faintly affronted.
At the itching though, she mmphs, then lets out a sigh. "Oh...oh...yes, there and...um, a little bit..up and to the right...at the edge of that bandage....ahhhh...." She sighs out in relief. "Oh, thank you, that's been bugging me for HOURS...."

Black Rose has posed:
"So," Yana says quietly, thoughtfully as she gets done with the scratching, "Can I ask you something personal? Private?" And, by the tone of her voice, she's not asking about Tabitha. And perhaps, given everything, Alexia might know what's coming.

Tendril has posed:
Lexi leans back slowly, then scoots over a bit, pulling her legs up on the bed to sit crosslegged, making room for you to sit. "Sure?" she says curiously, tilting her head.

Black Rose has posed:
"Have you done that before? Lost yourself?" Yana doesn't say 'gone feral', even if the words on the tip of her tongue. Her tone is quiet, almost gentle in it's asking, neither demanding an answer, or showing overt concern. It's laced with just the right measure of gentle concern mixed with quiet interest.

Tendril has posed:
Lexi blinks slightly, then avoids your eyes a bit as she looks down her lap. "...yes." she says quietly after a moment. "....it's why I eat so much. My body, it...it burns calories FAST. If I don't eat enough, I start getting thinner and thinner and then I just...I black out when it gets too bad. Or...or if I was...hurt.' She breathes in and out softly for a moment. "...l-like, with...with the attack on the Morlock tunnels. They...they shot me. A lot. I fell in the water, and then...." She shakes her head, looking a little unnerved remembering. "...I didn't wake up till weeks later." She swallows. "....after I a-ate someone's dog."

Black Rose has posed:
"So, here's what we're going to do," Yana says, with a measure of practicality. "You've heard of people who have severe allergies to things like nuts, or insect stings, carrying around a steroid shot, right? Epi pens?" She makes a gesture, as if she might poke Alexia's arm with a make-believe device in her hand. "We're going to get you something small, simple, that is portable, that is super high density in calories. It'll be like your epi pen. Emergency device, to keep you, you, until we can get you food."
The way Yana says this with such simple practicality leaves little, if no room, for debate or refusal."

Tendril has posed:
Lexi looks up sharply at that, a sort of hopeful look crossing her face. "...ya can do that? I mean...with calories an' stuff? Is there such a thing, really?" She leans forward. "If..if you could, oh..oh Yana, that would be wonderful. I'd feel lots better.." Even if it was just as a sort of talisman to make her feel better.

Black Rose has posed:
"Well, not a pen, no. But there's dietary things we might be able to work out that are loaded in calories for people who are trying to put on weight, for muscle growth, and things. But, almost the same concept." The blue-haired girl, whose blue hair is -bright- blue now, as if she'd only just re-dyed it earlier in the last day or two since returning adds, "But, yes. We can do that. You'll need to either get some kind of purse, or pack, or pockets, to keep it in. But, we'll work on that too."
She smiles, encouragingly. "Told you. You're my girl. I'll look out for you. You look out for me, too, right?"

Tendril has posed:
Lexi nodnods, then leans over to give you another big hug with a giggle. "Soooo looking out for you! Thank you, that'd be a great idea if there's somethin' like that? I mean...I try to store protein bars all over, but I go through 'em pretty fast...." she admits, sheepishly, then leans back so she can look at you. "Can I do anything for you? Ooh! Did you dye your hair again?" she says, reaching out to gently tug at your blue bangs. "It looks good..."

Black Rose has posed:
"Mmhmm," Yana agrees, smiling, some. "Had an appointment I had to wash it out for, so re-dyed it afterwards. Would've needed it, anyways," she admits casually, raking her fingers through her hair to show it off, pridefully. Then, she shakes her head, "Not now, no. I mean, I suppose just promise me that you'll run more simulations with me," Yana suggests. "But, I know you'll be there if I -do- need you. Just like I'm going to be there for you. Like I am right now."
The punk girl leans forward, to kiss Alexia on the cheek. "Nurse said I couldn't stay too long, so I should probably go before I get yelled at. Let me know how it goes with Tabitha, if you address stuff with her. I'll try and - explain more, I guess. If it comes down to that." At least Yana is promising to -try- to compromise, a little, and admitting where she has some faults that Lexi has given her insight to.

Tendril has posed:
For once, Lexi doesn't blush at the affection, she just smiles, apparently comfortable enough with it now from Yana that she doesn't feel awkward (her kryptonite!). "Sure...and, um...maybe...have Dani kinda play peacekeeper? If she's a leader an' stuff, or was, then...maybe she can tell ya more about what people expect or are looking for and stuff?" she offers, reaching out to gently ruffle your hair. "...thank ya for tryin' Yana, I appreciate it. You're a good friend."
