Grace Choi (994) has posed:
Granny Goodness stood in front of her Furies. The calculating old woman, one of Darkseid's most trusted advisor, was poised for action. "Alright, girls. It's finally time for Earth to see what you're made of. It is time to CRUSH," she says, making a fist, and her mouth twisting before slowly shifting back to normalcy, "Their resistance. And, what better way," she continues, the slow quietness of her voice now almost soothing, "Than to destroy the pinnacle of their hope."
The finger of the old looking woman points to a section of the map they've obtained, "The Hall of Justice. We've determined it's one of the ways their heroes are moving around so quickly. They have a transportation beam. Destroy the Hall of Justice. Destroy their transportation system. Destroy their Heroes. Crush their will."
Granny Goodness smiles, then, widely, and spreads her short arms out wide, "Go on, girls. Make your Granny PROUD."

Bernadeth inclines her head, "We will not fail you, Granny. We will make you, and Lord Darkseid proud." The leader of the Furies looks back at the four others, "Leave nothing standing. Destroy it all. And, destroy anyone who tries to stop us. At any cost." She smiles, in a very unpleasant manner.
This, of course, causes Mad Harriet to begin to laugh, low, and lick her lips as her fingers twitch. "Let me at them," she begs, almost greedy for the action, the pain, misery, the bloodshed to begin.
    Granny points the Boom Tube.

    BOOM.

Right into the very Lobby of the Hall of Justice itself which had been made a makeshift shelter and refuge for those that could not evacuate Metropolis safely. What safer place, afterall, than the Hall of Justice?

One by one, the Furies exit the portal.
Bernadeth, the leader, her faren-knives at the ready.
Mad Harriet, equipped with her energized power spikes.
Lashina, her whip at the ready.
Stompa, the largest, bulkiest, and strongest of all the Furies, complete with her massive anti-matter boots.
Knockout. Tall. Strong. Dangerous. And vicious as any of her Furious Sisters.
And, their newest member, Gilotina. Weaponless. Or, so it seemed. With incisive skin. Far more dangerous than she seemed.

Stompa begins immediately, laying a heavy boot down and causing the entire Hall of Justice to rumble, and shake, putting a huge crack through the foundation itself as people scream in terror of the Furies arrival, and their sanctuary being ravaged.

All the while, Granny Goodness watches, from her safehold in Apokolips.

Molly Millions has posed:
Molly sort of understands why people wear masks now. Sort of. At least, with all the dust and debris in Metropolis right now she's elected to tie a bandanna around her lower face and put some sunglasses on over her silver lenses. Because the combination somehow makes her more anonymous. Or something. She's been prowling, taking easy shots at Parademons too far away from their fellows to help... dropping in to help the helpless and sliding away again. One might think she's allergic to cameras.

This means that she's not too far away when there's that BOOM heralding new arrivals, and followed soon after by a quake. She wobbles unsteadily with her hands out to try and steady herself, letting a spider drone the size of a backpack pinpoint the direction. Does she want to go there? Is she probably going to get crushed? Answers point to no, and yes, and despite these things there's a sigh as the black clad woman elects to jog in the direction of the Hall of Justice past the smarter, wiser people trying to escape in the opposite direction.

Sarah Osborn has posed:
The Hall of Justice was not exactly where Sarah planned to be, she was actually headed towards New York to do some investigation of her own family and past. However, she had gotten a reading on the Boom Tubes during the last attack and had set up a warning to let her know if that energy occurred anywhere in range. Detecting the energy at the Hall of Justice when she was nearby, Sarah parked her bike and hurridly donned the rest of her gear from the saddlebags...she was already wearing the armored body stocking and the helmet, it looks enough like normal motorcycle gear to pass inspection.

Goblin-Girl rides her bike up to the gates of the hall, the special decals appear with the flick of a hidden switch, turning an ordinary looking bike into the Goblincycle. She Hears the telltale Boom from inside even as she sharges in the front door. She does not know who these ladies are, but she knows where they are from...hopefully she is up to the task.

Aquaman has posed:
And where is the Justice League for all of this? Well, Aquaman, at least, appears in the center of the hall, arriving in one of those very transportation beams that have drawn attention to the Hall. Clad in his Royal Atlantean armor, and Trident in hand, and a quick dash brings him right at Stompa, where he unleashes one of his incredibly strong punches in retaliation, aiming to knock her right out through the front door, "You are not welcome in this place!" he barks at the intruders.

"Everyone, begin evacuating into the library, you'll be taken to safety!" Arthur intones as he moves into a defensive posture, Trident raised before him as he surveys the group of Furies, triggering his Justice League communicator he adds, "We have invaders in the Hall of Justice, we need to get them out before they bring the whole place down."

Invisible Woman has posed:
Having already been in Metropolis, Sue had been at the Hall of Justice, considering the new threat with the Justice Leaguers.....or trying to. She could never really find one IN the hall to talk to. "I guess I'll try another day then." She says heading for a deli nearby. She could, at least, bring something home for dinner for the team. She knows Jen will help her with din-

*BOOM*

"What the...." Sue says as she looks out the window of the Deli, and winces. "Damn. They're starting." She steps out of the deli and looks at the women coming out of the portal. "This is going to be bad." She says reaching into her purse and drawing out one thing she hoped she'd never use.

Her flare gun.

Aiming carefully, Sue pulls the trigger and fires the flare OVEr the Hall of Justice....and it explodes, not to put a large area of light over the Hall....

But to shine a slowly turning '4' in the air. The Symbol of the Fantastic Four.

But then, Sue disappears.......

Tempest (343) has posed:
Garth had been in meetings at the UN, speaking for Atlantis in his role as ambassador, of course the topic of conversation was the threat of the invasion from beyond. Updates were given in the Security Council about the course of the war and the tenuous nature of the fronts. Garth had made it clear that Atlantis stood with their surface cousins and would fight to the end as well.

That done, Tempest hurried to the Hall of Justice, not bothering to change out of his business suit. And so he comes to the Hall just as the chaos inside begins.

"I'm not really dressed for this." he complains, but onwards he goes anyway. He can see the people fleeing, can hear the screaming inside. The crack in the Hall's foundation is another good hint that something is going on.

Martian Manhunter has posed:
As quickly as the alarms are going in the Halls of Justice, the Martian Manhunter uses the Zetabeam to transport himself down. Martian Manhunter quickly scans the area for any heroes that may be around, and will link up with Aquaman <Arthur, I'm here, but I do not sense any of the other Leage Members...> He flies through the Hall, and immediately begins throwing up telekinetic shields around the refugees.

In order to provide a distraction, the Martian Manhunter grows to a towering ten feet tall, and immediately flies into the mass of Furies. He grows two extra pair of large arms, and immediately attempts to push each of the Furies within range away from the screaming people

Thing has posed:
Never too far away from his teammates, Ben steers the fantasticar and it's other passenger towards the large burning flare. "It hasta be Suzie!" Ben calls to the emerld amazon as he banks the flying car high high over the Hall, spotting the trouble. "Lets get down dere!"

He flicks a switch with a big finger and grins. "Like fallin offa bike!" he says.. And jumps out of the fantasticar as it engages the autopilit.

Like a big orange meteor falling from the sky Benjamin J Grimm, aka The Thing, lands in a PERFECT superhero landing just outside the Hall of Justice, because who do you think INVENTED it the superhero landing? Between force and weight, the conrete shatters, a shallow crater sending ripples and cracks outwards. Dust rises like smoke as he straights up.. flexing his knuckles as he stares at the mayhem, and it's cause, just inside the lobby. Especially the massive female stomping around.

"Oh yeah.. loos like its time ta dance. Enter one blue eyed Romeo." he says and not waiting for Jen to land he starts off at a run, like a linebacker, towards Stompa.

Darkstar has posed:
Still in Metropolis for the moment on her diplomatic tour of the world for both the Winter Guard and the Soviet state, Darkstar is alerted to the strange happenings which now seem to be plaguing the large city. She knows for a fact that the Russian Executive Security Committee will want information on all of her findings, so perhaps it is a fortunate circumstance that she has not departed for home just yet. Or maybe she would consider it an unfortunate one.

Dressed in her Darkstar attire, going full Superhero mode, the Russian blonde flies high above the clouds as she idly surveys the city below. The city-scape was a fascinating site and though she was here to learn more about the chaos in which the news had recently reported, she also took this time to do a little sight-seeing from her wonderful skyward vantage point. All seemed peaceful, or peaceful enough in a place with such a large population and world that was recently turned upside due to chaos, but before too long that peace is quickly and violently diminished.

"What was that?"

Darkstar was just a block away from where the Hall of Justice sat in all of its glory when she heard the commotion coming from that direction and then saw the Fantastic Four flare burning brightly. Quickly, she speeds ahead, cutting a path through the air to close the distance between herself and great Hall. From there, she remains observant, hovering from this safe position for a long moment to determine what exactly is going on before making any further moves.

Gravitas has posed:
The crack of an approaching supersonic object is heard a few after Gravitas snaps out of her swift approach, combined with the weird rumble of the distorted gravity pulling those soundwaves out of shape and distorting them even further. Blue eyes scan everything over intently, the girl worrying her bottom lip as she takes in everything at once. Tori reaches up and drags her fingers through her thick, wildly curly honey tresses.
"...Well, that can't be good! I can feel that *up* here. Oh my God..." Gravitas is staring at at Stompa right now. She launches forward, nimbly moving in toward where the Anti-Matter boot wielding Fury is threatening to tear down the walls of the Hall of Heroes. She takes a deep breath and concentrates. Her goal? To adjust Stompa's gravity, specifically making the leg she's standing on light as a feather. A change like that might be enough to send her sprawling.
The girl bobs in the air as she works, prepared to bolt. She's fast, if not especially nimble.

She-Hulk has posed:
A moment behind Ben Grimm, another meteor crashes into the ground a few feet away. This one is green. Shulkie sticks the landing, not bothering with the posture since she wouldn't want to infringe on any copyrights or signture moves. She can't even smash or she might be infringing on her cousin. Thus, she slams into the ground leaving her own crater then runs toward the building. "C'mon, keep moving. Get out of there, fast as you can," she is calling to the people streaming out as she is running in.
Just like firemen, running into danger when everyone else is running away.
Rushing into the doors, she takes a moment to pick out the various dance partners. Decisions, decisions. "First off, Yay girl power and all that but this isn't your turf and you're not welcome." She makes a beeline for Knockout.

Phoenix has posed:
WESTCHESTER COUNTY
THE X-MEN'S HIDDEN BASE
MOMENTS AGO

There's an app for everything in 2025, including Justice League reserve alerts. Thus, when Phoenix's hip begins singing a single, shrill, piercing note, it only takes a quick grab and glance downward before she hastily shifts apps and brings the Danger Room simulation around she and two of the X-Men's newer members to an immediate halt.

"Look-- okay, so," the redhead quietly says after remembering to breath, bringing wide eyes from screen to students as a shirtless android with a red widow's peak, green pants, and the beginnings of shimmering red psi-plating around one arm and flames around the other looms large over Armor and Rachel, "pop quiz, no wrong answers: who wants to go face first into a posthuman warzone, and who wants to help secure the mansion and maybe wait for the next one to come around?"

Try as she might to maintain a steady, collected voice, Rachel can probably feel nerves twisted up to the point of fraying behind it.

"I know we only just started this eval," she continues, focusing squarely on Rachel for a moment before looking away and backing towards the door, "but there's-- something's happening in Metropolis, and it's gonna be bad."

METROPOLIS
THE HALL OF JUSTICE
NOW

Reality makes room for a stepping disk near a horizontally-oriented stepping disk near the ceiling, through which emerge Phoenix and a contingent of X-folk. "Close your eyes", she would have warned just after Magik opened the way through Limbo, but just before leaping through, and "try not to think about the next few seconds."

Of course, the Furies have wasted no time in doing their level best to make Metropolis into a hell in its own right, threatening to crush one of its symbols of hope beneath anti-matter soles and mad glee, so she doesn't even wait until she's flown all the way out of Limbo before transmitting, {{Pick targets, look for heroes and/or non-hostiles to assist!}} into her teammates' minds. Without waiting for either to respond, she locks her gaze onto the raven-haired, coil-wrapped powerhouse and transmits three more words before thrusting her hands forward and pouring her focus into gathering telekinetic force around one of her teammates:

{{Armor: Fastball Special!}}

And thus, does Armor find herself hurtling in Lashina's direction at several hundred miles per hour.

With that done, a shimmer of warmth touches the non-Apokoliptian minds in the Hall of Justice, followed closedly by a message:

{{Heroes, assorted others: if you can hear me, we're going to coordinate, and we're going to push whoever the hell this is back to wherever the hell they came from! Anyone else: you're going to make it home to see your families-- I promise! My name is Phoenix, and we're here to help you!}}

Armor has posed:
ELSEWHERE

"I'll go," says Hisako Ichiki, immediately. She is in a fairly generic set of X-Fatigues, though they're not fatiguing at all. Comfy, flattering, easy to wear.

She rises to the occasion. Cerise light forms around her, bulky and protective. She exhales into the familiar not-quite-climate-controlled confines of her armor, and gives Rachel an attempt at an encouraging thumbs-up.

NOW

There are explosions. There are people coming in hot and fisty.

The stepping disk opens and Armor opens her eyes, face determined, as she takes in the scene of mayhem in the Hall of Justice and tries not to think about the implications. Then she looks towards Lashina a moment before she rises upwards, the psionic frame of her exoskeleton sparkling at the points of psychokinetic contact. Her arms cross -

"X Strike!" Armor says aloud, just for the Hell of it, as the bulky arms of the force-suit cross in front of her. A moment later she is shot forwards like a cannonball (not Cannonball - different guy) straight at Lashina, shouting wordless enthusisam on the way and tucking up her legs to, she hopes, tumble free, with Lashina firmly laid out.

That's her plan, at least.

Marvel Girl has posed:
It's like something out of her nightmares.

All of this. It strikes too close to home for her liking, literally. Every time she sees it on the news. Every time she hears a rumble a little too close to the mansion. It's like little flashbangs of memories she'd rather forget raging inside her mind.

    "--Huh?"

Which might explain why the time-displaced X-Man known as Rachel looks more than a little distracted when Jean addresses her. Green eyes squeezing in a blink that feels like its dragging her away from some deep, far-off place, she looks, briefly unfocused, at the redheaded woman in front of her. A posthuman warzone. She can feel those twisted nerves running dangerously taut behind that level voice.

It's so weird, she thinks distantly. It's so human. For some reason, it both reassures and worries her all at once. Her fingers curl inward against her palm. Her lips part.

    ---

She shouldn't have chosen to come, Rachel thinks, as she spills out of that stepping disk with eyes squeezed shut as if she could ward away all the sights and memories just by trying hard enough. The smells and the sounds, however, are far less easy to ignore.

This was a mistake, she thinks, as those green eyes open. She should leave. The disk is still there behind her. The mansion needs her. She--

--She feels those thoughts touch on hers, and in an instant, she's shoving those anxieties down into the shattered depths of her memories and focusing herself on the task at hand without so much as a second thought. To fight. Like she's been trained to do.

    {{Got it!}}

And with that, as Armor hurtles -- literally -- into the fray, Rachel reaches out with her mind to non-combatants and other bystanders, to try to tap into their emotions and calm them as she sweeps those wary green eyes over the battlefield, looking for an opening. She stays calm, for them, so they can remain focused wholly on getting away. Phoenix is here, watch. She can do this. She has to.

Grace Choi (994) has posed:
Mad Harriet turns a twisted smile, 'Jokerish', onto Aquaman as the first of the Justice League arrives, already commanding them to go, already barking orders of how 'Justice' will prevail. She leaps in the air, twisting and smashes her fists together which suddenly begin to crackle and spark with a curious sort of energy -- it is /not/ electricity. Aquaman will find that out soon enough as she lands just short of him, splays her legs low onto the ground, twisting her foot up to kick the trident from blocking her and slams a fist into his side. That energy of hers is enough to hurt even Superman. And she's laughing all the while.

As the other heroes set themselves up to take action, as Sue Storm signals for help and goes Invisible, as Tempest appears on the scene in his diplomatic garb, as Goblin Girl makes her way to the Hall as does Molly on foot, as Darkstar sees the flare and hears the chaos to arrive above the city-scape to determine what action she should take, as Martian Manhunter appears next to Aquaman and tries to blockade for the civilians to flee to safety ... the other Furies take action. They aren't waiting. Thankfully Rachel is at least providing some measure of telepathic control so that people don't trample over each other in the clamor to get to further safety.

"Let me introduce myself," says the tall, red-headed woman as she knocks J'onn's arm back and leaps forward to slam her fist into his head, hard, while he's forced to continue to play 'shield' for the innocent bystanders, "I'm -Knockout-." She is no Kryptonian. No Martian. But, damn, she can still hit. Hard.

The massive woman of girth, Stompa, smiles sharply at the orange-rock-man that's running towards her. She cracks her knuckles, and slams her foot down again, this time sending a shockwave of such propotions that it'll knock The Thing back onto his butt, as she greets, "I'm Stompa. Never crushed a Rock-Man before. This will be -FUN-." That's when her leg is no longer as heavy as it normally is, which causes her to suddenly shift, off-kilter. But she's too combat-savvy to let that topple her, just yet.

Lashina sees Gravitas, floating, bobbing there and the woman is already flicking her wrists, hard, and sending her two whips hurtling to grab Gravitas by the ankles with blinding speed, sending a brief course of electrical pain through each of them as she pulls the flyer into the ground, snapping her whips back, playing with her 'prey', as it were. That is, until she's taken out in the makeshift 'Fastball Special' that the Phoenix and Armor tag-team her on, sending her sprawling into on of the walls of the Hall and through it, entirely. The Hall, afterall, may not survive this fight, even if the heroes win.

The glamazon of green, She-Hulk, may be moving towards Knockout who is presently on Martian Manhunter, but she's gotten Bernadeth's attention for now, and suddenly two Faren-Knives, long, cruel blades fly of their own accord (or seem to) directly into She-Hulks path, threatening to spear the Might Green Giantess in each eye. "I don't think so," she says, darkly, looking aloof. Then, she looks at her sisters, "Kill them. All."
One of the knives goes straight for She-Hulk's head. This one? A feint. The real threat is to the one that slams into She-Hulk's leg. And it begins to burn She-Hulk. From the inside-out.

Gilotina, meanwhile, hits one of the support pillars in the Hall with a measure martial-arts hit. The pillar doesn't shatter, or crumble. No. It slices in half. As if Wolverine had just sliced it with his claws, instead. Only ... she has no claws? No knives? No swords?

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
Hal Jordan, Green Lantern, was arriving just in time. Heading towards the situation at full speed, the only sign he was coming was the green nimbus of energy that highlights the arrival of a Green Lantern. In this case, the Green Lantern of Sector 2814.

As the Deputy Chair of the Justice League, the alarm Hal receives from the Hall of Justice reveals one thing - that the defenses of their "old" headquarters has been breeched! The lobby was now grand zero for the next stage of the Apokalypse threat. That meant Hal needs to be there...now!

Arriving in a flash of green energy, Hal notices that there were other Leaguers present already, including Arthur and J'Onn. "Aquaman! Manhunter! I am here!" Hal swoops in behind Arthur, backing him up, and nods to J'onn. "I see we have our work cut out for us today!" A green energy shields envelops him, ready to be shared if necessary.

Hal notes that Sue Richards, Grimm, Shulkie and Tempest were also present. "I am here to assist as needed!" Hal uses his ring to send that message to all the allies he sees present, not just the ones he knows.

That was when the women attack. Hal hovers nearby, ready to fire off a energy bolt, or assist where needed! This was going to be a long night!

Molly Millions has posed:
Craters. Sonic booms. Well, got to be the right place at least, though there's little more than the motion of Molly's head and the uptick in her speed to show for it. "Shadow, defend user." is rasped at the drone as the lean and unimpressive looking woman dodges sideways past a fleeing civilian. There's only a pico-second of assessment under the circumstances, boiling down to recognizing that some of those people can't exactly move under their own power right now. It's there she decides to divert her attention for now, the spindly, back-pack sized machine trailing in her wake as she stoops to collect one of the injured and usher others in the direction of the library.

With the chaos it's likely to go unnoticed that for all her unimpressive thinness it's not a struggle for her to hoist the larger, heavier bulk of the man with the mangled leg into a fireman's carry as she endeavors to make good on at least getting the civilians out of the immediate danger zone.

Sarah Osborn has posed:
Well, it looks like that martial arts girl may be too dangerous to touch...probably a form of tachyon shell around her hands at east, possibly around all of her body, but somebody has to do something or she will being the whole hall down. Out comes the Spring Gun, in goes a selected magazine...Let us see how a load of adhesive in the face effects miss chopper, thinks Goblin-Girl.

Thing has posed:
You know, for being as large and bulky as he is, Ben moves with an athlete's grace... which makes sense since he was an athlete at one point. "Ya gonna compliment 'em on their shoes too, Jen?" he yells out to his emerald friend as he swerves and weaves around people as he builds more speed and momentum... narrowing in on Stompa. "I hope ya aint expecting polite response either! Cuz itz /Not/ tha best time ta be fishing fer compliments, yeesh!!!"

Large orange feet pound ground as he shatters through the ground to ceiling lobby windows and finding his path towards Stompa clear he makes haste. "HEY! YOU! MY Aunt petunia always taught me not ta hit a women but you know what Lady? Or whutever tha heck ya are? I dunno why you and yer Galactic Girl Scouts are here but I don't care! Because I got my three favorite words fer you: IT'S CLOBBERIN TIME!

Yeaq, that sounded BAD ASS! To bad Stompa was prepare. Her introductory shock-wave just does as she intends, making Ben flail and fall and rolls ubncontrabbly into a pilar which luckily doesn't break. He pushes himself back to his feet, spitting out concrete from his face-plant. "Wotta revoltin' development..." he mutters and glares at the giant woman who seems off balance, "Fancy footwork, babe! But lets change up this dance a bit." he says and grasps the pillar.. As an engineer (Yes, he is an engineer) he knows that it is NOT load bearing and with a roar he tears it from it's place like it as a vastly oversized baseball bat and grins. "LIMBO!" he he yells, swinging it at the giant woman.

Tempest (343) has posed:
Most of the people out that are going out, Garth makes it through the door. "It's busy in here!" he says to himself as he takes a look around.

*Arthur!* he calls through the link J'onn forged between all the heroes here. *I'm here.* There's a sense of waiting for commands, clearly he thinks Aquaman will be leading this tactically.

The Furies seeming to be engaged by some heavy-hitters, he closes his eyes a moment, concentrating. His hands glow - one firey and the other cold blue. The wind picks up in the Hall, swirling. There's a sign of rotation in the air around Tempest, a dust devil. Then he's buoyed into the air where he can see better. Target?

    Yes. Gilotina.

Beams shoot from his violet eyes, beams of force that he hopes will knock her out, or at least down. He's only holding bakc a little... it's clear that these ladies are not fragile.

Invisible Woman has posed:
As Gravitas is grabbed and thrown towards the ground by Lashina, Gravitas never hits the ground.....but hits something rather.....soft. Very soft. Enough to make her escape injury completely, at least for now. She is also turned momentarily invisible. How in the.....?

But a voice can be heard next to Gravitas. It's a somewhat familiar voice from the TV. Susan Storm-Richards. "keep your head moving, and be aware of your surroundings. I can only protect you so much, but help me help you. I don't know your powers, but I'm Susan Richards of the Fantastic Four. And it's time to defend our home."

With that, Gravitas is free to move about.....and Gilotina is smashed from above......by a pillar of invisible force.

THEN Sue turns visible.

"JEN! BEN! SCREW CHIVALRY! DOUBLE TEAM THE BIG ONE!"

Martian Manhunter has posed:
J'onn responds back to Jean's telepathic message, setting up a mental link for all Heroes to communicate mentally with each other if they choose to join, <Aquaman has asked for assistance in moving the non-combatants to the Library. Once they are clear we can enable the Hall defenses to provide energy and physical protection as well as minimizing the ability to travel via intra or inter-dimensional means.>

The blow from Knockout does land given J'onn's current objective, luckily he felt the blow coming, and immediately increased his density several fold. The power of the blow, and the size of the Martian causes him to drop to one knee, and causes a huge fissure across the floor. Behind a grunt, the Martian responds, "Well Knockout..." as he stands up again, "..I'm the Martian Manhunter, and these people are under our protection. You will not find the heroes of Earth easy prey."

Over the mental link, the Martian Manhunter <Green Lantern, if you could assist Aquaman with Mad Harriet given her energy capabilities, I will focus on keeping Knockout busy.. we're buying time for now, but once it is clear, we can push the fight to them> He then returns his attention to Knockout, "Tell me, have you dealt with the mental strength of the Martians?" and proceeds to attempt to fire a mental blast to stun Knockout. While reaching out with two of his arms to control her fists.

Invisible Woman has posed:
it's then Sue actually registers that someone spoke in her mind. "Jean?" She says as she spots the red head. And she tries to talk to her with her mind. and she's very inexperienced with that. <<Jean.....I saw them come in from a portal. I don't think they're very friendly, or even human.>> Jean may hear......part of that.

Darkstar has posed:
The panic that the attack has caused brings some concern to the Russian hero, but she does take notice that some of that panic was even now being quelled somehow. Not that there was too much time to think about this, for a good piece of one of the Hall of Justice's pillars has been sliced cleanly off. Darkstar's first instinct as a weapon of the state is to take out the enemy, so with that in mind, she speeds forward before sending out three rapid fire energy blasts consisting of Darkforce in the direction of Gilotina in an attempt to force the woman back and away from the innocents.

However, her protective nature also comes into play and once those blasts are sent forth, whether they are effective or not, she conjures up a field of Darkforce energy to shield anyone caught beneath the falling debris some form of safety. All the while, she remains hovering in the air, her full efforts, for the moment focused on the idea of protecting the innocents. This does not mean that she doesn't keep a sharp eye on the violence and devastation happening around her, nor does she let her attention stray too far from Gilotina in the case that the other woman decides to retaliate. Though.. it looks like the Fury has company, when Tempest focuses on her as well.

She-Hulk has posed:
She-Hulk skids to a stop just shy of those knives, frowning darkly as she eyes the blades. Normally blades can't get through her skin. Yet she isn't sure these are an average blade so she is erring on the side of caution. "Kill them? You haven't even gotten to know me yet! It usually takes at least five minutes before someone wants to do that." And just for Ben... "Oh. And you have on ugly shoes," she adds the first blade moves.

Shulkie dodges quickly to the side but she missed the other knife moving lower as she did so. Her eyes are on Bernadeth, who apparently decided she seemed a better target. That's what she is now: A target Shulkie is determined to punch through a wall if necessary.

The blade hits her leg and she lets out a grunt of surprise as it actually does damage. Then it starts to burn and she lets out another grunt of pain instead of annoyance. "Not good." She hears Sue's voice and screams right back her direction. "A little busy with the knives! Be careful, they can get through even my skin!" The burning is getting rose and she goes for a trick from her cousin. She faces Bernadeth and brings her hands together, hard, sending a thunderous blast of air in the direction of the Fury in an attempt to kncok her off her feet--and stop those blades.

Phoenix has posed:
With the stepping disk sealing behind her and Armor surging violently forward, Phoenix turns her attention and will towards the debris being generated by quaking footsteps, flying Furies, and collapsing structural support. Rachel's working on keeping the civilians calm, she can feel it-- good; more room to help uphold her promise by arresting the lionshare of the steel, glass, and plaster threatening to impede or hurtle through fleeing bystanders.

Pink light flickers here and there throughout the room as the structural shrapnel comes to a sudden stop. More than a few bystanders find themselves faced with flying, frozen death, and all the while, world ripples around the woman at the heart of the rapidly mounting storm of telekinetic energy that Rachel, J'onn, and anyone else with the proper senses and/or instruments can likely feel twisting through the Hall.

{{Green Lantern-- the blonde--}} she transmits to the space cop alone, along with a fleeting image of Gilotina striking the pillar. {{-- she's trying-- to bring the whole building-- down on us!}}

Once that warning is passed along, she spares a moment for a reminder, terse but faintly friendly, given the circumstances:

{{Phoenix-- please. As in-- 'Phoenix, let's-- kick these aliens'-- asses back to whatever planet-- they came from'.}}

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
Fire support. That was what the Green Lantern was best at. Shields here, big giant green energy gloves there. Smack. "Skkkttssss..." As an energy weapon of some kind is barely deflected by his energy field. Apokalyptian technology and weaponry was advanced, and almost a match for the willpower of a Green Lantern!

Leaping at the telepathic call for assistance from J'onn, Hal replies with, "Copy that! I will watch their backs! Arthur...*Hal sends through the telepathic link* I got you. And them. J'Onn, I'm there. Mad Harriet it is!!"

Hal hovers nearby, ready to protect the innocents, and assist Aquaman. Moving forward, Hal points his ring hand in the direction and with a flash of willpower, begins.

"Aquaman! Incoming!" As Hal arrives, he splits his willpower in two ways, the concentration on his face making him sweat, just a little. An energy barrier between the bad guys and the escaping innocents. And a large wave of fiery energy heading towards Harriet. "Heads up!"

Armor has posed:
As Lashina goes flying, Armor tumbles. She leaves a scrape on the Floor of Justice, but that sure beats a bunch of bloody stains! Pushing herself upright, she calls out with enthusiasm, "Any of the rest of you want any!?"

Then she sees the pillar get cut. Hisako's eyes widen. That's no good. She puts herself in between the possible fleeing people and where Lashina got blasted to, waving them energetically to go around and away from the evil alien lady in question.

Hisako's eyes flick towards Ben when he shouts LIMBO but oh, he means it the other way.

The Justice League is here. Even the voice in her head, clear and crystalline in its alien-ness (as opposed to the more familiar mental transmissions of Jean or, latterly, Rachel), says - Martian Manhunter. Two years ago Hisako would say something like 'squee, now she just thinks it a little. Maybe it makes her overconfident.

The Sensational She-Hulk declares she's having problems and Armor can see where. Even as some rubble dust lands on her armor with enough force to put little ripples in it, Armor snaps into action, throwing her arm back in preparation for a wound-up fist. Then the shockwave washes over her - "Gah!" - but she recovers, even if the thrown punch turns into a shoulder slam aimed at... Bernadeth...

Hopefully it will all work out.

{{The whip one got thrown clear - might come back!}} Armor 'thinks' at Jean, in so far as any decision undertaking while hurling your armor-sheathed shoulder at a Fury can be considered 'thinking.'

Aquaman has posed:
With Aquaman's attack on Stompa apparently intercepted by the one known as Mad Harriet, his attention turns fully on the clawed woman with the crackling energy hands, and his Trident is indeed knocked aside, and the blast of energy does hit him in the side and causes a grunt of pain. Aquaman, of course, is one of the toughest beings on earth, and has shown an incredible capacity at resisting injury.

"Tempest, good. We need to identify their leader and isolate her from the rest." Arthur says to Tempest through the mental link as he moves to engage in combat with Mad Harriet, using the momentum of the Trident as it's knocked aside, and redirecting it back at the woman with bone shattering force to knock Harriet aside, the very trident capable of wounding Darkseid himself. "Hal, J'on We need to move the fight away from the refugees!" He shouts to the group of heroes arriving to defend, "Push them to the plaza, if you can!"

Marvel Girl has posed:
For as anxious as all this has made her, one thing is certain: Rachel takes to these combat situations like a duck to water. The second she is in the mix, the second she's embroiled in the chaos, she loses (most of) that doubt and worry, her mind becoming as close to a steel trap as it can be as she works her gaze over the battlefield, watching, waiting--

    There.

She doesn't wait. She doesn't hesitate. The second she sees Gilotina sweep herself across the battlefield and literally -slice- a pillar clean in two just by hitting it, the time-displaced mutant lashes out. Partitioning a portion of her concentration towards the structural damage caused by the Fury, she looks to seize the upon some of the mass of debris that the Furies left in their wake--

-- and send it hurtling to just -ram- Bernadeth at high speeds, hopefully just as She-Hulk launches her right off her feet.

Blunt, direct, all force and no finesse, Rachel looks to send all that mass through the air with Bernadeth in tow to -pin- the Fury against a nearby wall, to hopefully provide She-Hulk the opening she needs to follow Sue's instructions.

{{I've got your back!}} she transmits to the green giant through those psychic wavelengths. {{Go kick that crazy's ass!}}

Her concentration is split now, between the civilians and combat. It's a bit of a strain, but Rachel never lets it near her expression, near her thoughts. She's had worse, she tries to tell herself. She can deal with much more pressure than this, if it means protecting this place.

Gravitas has posed:
Gravitas yelps in pain as she's flung about then crashes toward the ground quite ignominously. She's disoriented, falling far faster than can be good for someone who is, at her core, a physically ordinary girl. Then she hits something... Soft? When the voice is speaking it's all Gravitas can do to nod mutely for a second. Then she's floating upward haphazardly. Clearly it isn't directed flight.
"Gravity," Tori breathes in response to the Invisible Woman's presence as she is looking around. "Powers, I mean. And..."
Gravitas is looking for something she can help with. Refugees. She plants herself on the ground between the fleeing people and oncoming Furies and then gravity shifts. People behind her find themselves sprinting like they're half their weight, clearing massive distances in moments.
As for the rest of them? There's a vortex of sorts forming over Tori's head, visible thanks to the debris being drawn in. Things that fall into the distortion are being flung back toward the Furies at rapid speed. Bits of steel or building... Anything one of the other heroes might want to throw.
A chunk of the Hall of Justice falls into the gravity well and is lobbed at Bernadet at high speeds.

Grace Choi (994) has posed:
Curiously, the Furies don't (yet) seem all that interested in attacking the civilians as Intergang did. No. These are the true footsoildiers of Darkseid - and even with the additional arrival of a Lantern, they don't seem entirely too concerned. The heroes are their fight. Take out the heroes, and everything comes after. Therefore, presently, Molly is left alone. And the Green Lantern's arrival? Well. It's - just an additional challenge. To make the victory all the more sweet.

Stompa swings her fist, as Ben swings the pillar, smashing the pillar into pieces. This creates a bit of a problem for her, as dust, and debris go flying as much into her face as anything else. But, The Thing -did- want to dance. Apparently she doesn't know how to limbo. "You're fun," she tells Ben, slamming her boot again into the ground, creaing another seismic wave. "Let's see how hard I need to stomp in order to crack you apart."

Goblin Girl's spring-gun shoots the adhesive into Gilotina's face -- and it works. Kind of. Sure. It blinds her. But then she's simply 'cutting' it away from her skin, her face, with her fingers, quickly, and efficiently, like one might peel away dead skin with the sleekness of a razorblade. The lithe blonde woman turns towards Goblin-Girl, before kicking the bottom out of that load-bearing pillar, knocking it over and she begins to run towards the interferring busy-body, hands ready to slice-and-dice by the look of her ... until she's hit from the pillar from above thanks to whatever Sue just did, and goes tumbling to the ground. She shakes her head a moment, to clear her mind and then slowly, she's getting up again. And now? She just looks mad. These women are -tough-. And just as Gilotina gets back up, she's blasted down again by Tempest. And then again, by Darkstar. It would seem the youngest of the Furies has made a few friends, quite quickly.

Knockout screams. Yes. Screams. And, momentarily, is stunned by the mental attack of the Martian Manhunter. And, for a moment, Knockout is grabbing her head, instead of punching someone else's. For a moment. Then, like an angry child lashing out as J'onn grabs her arms, she goes for the headbutt, Chris Benoit style. Her head, notably, is as hard as her fists.

Unlike any of her 'sisters', Mad Harriet is far more unpredictable than might seem on the surface. As Arthur swings his trident at her, she's already bounding away, faster than any human in lieu of ... taking on another target? Or, so it seems. She runs past the wall as if headed towards Hal, and then abruptly turns on a dime to run up it, pushing off it to fly at the King of Atlantis ... until Hal's energy beam hits her, and knocks her down. She rolls, first from impact. And then she keeps on rolling. And, continues to roll, laughing, manically, until she gets to Armor intercepting the mutant-girls attack on her 'sister' Bernadeth, whom she springs up upon and slams, in the chest, with her energy glove. Armor's armor is ... not enough. While Mad Harriet's energy won't erradicate Armor's powers, much of it does get through, to coarse through the girl in a very painful and unpleasent way.

Lashina pulls herself out of the wreckage, and immediately her whips are in the air, lashing now around Tempest. And now, she's no longer playing games. She yanks -hard- again, this time slamming Tempest into another wall of the Hall, all the while the whips bursting with electrical force, and this time, she doesn't turn off the current.

Grace Choi (994) has posed:
Bernadeth, meanwhile, is knocked to the ground by She-Hulks own shockwave, and her Faren-Knives roll back towards her immediately as if summoned. They violently spin in a protective circle, shielding her as she gets back up to her feet. And, those knives block, at least partially, the debris flung by Gravitas, sparking on it as the rest of the chunk hits her. Those same knives separate, suddenly, one headed straight for Martian Manhunter, the other, for Hal Jordan as Bernadeth herself steadies to her feet and charges at She-Hulk, to punch the Green Giantess in the face. That, however, is cut short as she's again smacked with debris - this time telekentically, from Rachel and she goes spinning like a dead drop onto the ground, hard. But like Gilotina who is now getting up again, the Furies aren't that easily put down. These are no mooks. These are Darkseid's preimere fighters. And, they're proving it. Still, it's bought She-Hulk some time. But the blades? Controlled by her thoughts, emotions, her rage. And they're still headed towards their targets.

Molly Millions has posed:
{{How did they... }} the thought is stray and confused from the woman in black generally known as Molly, the more sensitive telepathically... or those just randomly unlucky might catch the occasional snippet of 'not open', 'diagnostic' 'the hell' and 'this guy needs to lay off the beer' coming from her vicinity as she trucks people back and forth... coming face-to-face with frozen shrapnel death and having to pause at least briefly like '...is anyone else seeing this?' before it promptly gets filed under 'things to worry about later'.

There's no complaint from her about avoiding notice. Once she's certain that the immediate ground is at least clear of potential civilian casualties she elects to take advantage of her 'unnoticeable' presence to skulk around towards Lashina.

Martian Manhunter has posed:
Sending a message to Aquaman and Green Lanter <Understood. I will try to coordinate a push...> then to the rest of the heroes, he broadcasts <Let us see if we can push them out into the Plaza. I will provide the mental signal> J'onn then braces himself against Knockout's smash to his face, to pass right through his phased body, "Your Master will find that this World is not his for the taking. He will not find his Anti-Life Equation here as long as We are here to stop him."

In urgency, J'onn calls out to the Green Lanter <Hal! There is a blade headed in your direction, and I am unsure of it's properties!> He attempts to mental deflect both blades to the floor before they can reach their targets.

<Heroes! Prepare to push..> and then he focuses his mental energies and physical strength to push as many of the Furies as he can reach. Once they are all set the Martian Manhunter gives the signal for the coordinated push against their enemy.

Invisible Woman has posed:
Sue used her own shield in a sort of force ram to hit Gilotina. Her force fields aren't just for protection, after all. She's also trying to keep the Furies attention AWAY from the fleeing civilians. She doesn't know that they're not here to hurt civilians, but it doesn't hurt to be careful. Meanwhile, she turns her attention towards Bernadeth and sends out another force ram to hit Bernadeth.....aiming for her head....from a distance.

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
It was incredibly hard to try and work through the chaos of the battle. The Furies were attacking, Darkseid's minions seemingly everywhere. Hal was trying to keep the civilians safe from harm. It was all very difficult to handle. But that was why the Guardians of the Universe made him a Green Lantern. To do the impossible!

"There!" Hal says, reinforcing the energy field he erects between the Apokalyptians, and the civilians. Using all of his willpower, Hal maintains that shield, but doesn't take his eyes from the battle.

Turning back to the chaos, Hal notes that his assault on Harriet didn't work, but that was fine. At the moment, he has his own worries. Coordination. Hal nods, seeing that Arthur has his battle under control. He needs to get...tactical!

Floating above the chaos, Hal opens his mind to J'onn, and says, "Okay J'onn. Good idea. The civs are safe for now. I got them. We need to take this battle to them, and, as you say, push them into the Plaza. Use my tactical position to coordinate our forces. It looks like the red haired girl, Jean is it? She can assist. Let's do this."

Blades...? Hal turns suddenly. J'onn deflects one of the blades...but...it was only because of the warning he got from J'onn, did the last blade NOT decapitate him! As it was, the blade slices across Hal's left cheek, leaving a trail of blood. Close shave indeed! "Thanks J'onn! That was close! Glad you got one of the blades!"

Sarah Osborn has posed:
The adhesive did what it was intended to, it distracted the Fury from bringing the roof down. Sarah knows the difference between load-bearing and ornamental pillars. It is too bad it dod not last longer, but it is not built to take on the kind of power she is dealing with. She need something more effective, but does not know what, if any, weaknesses these foes have. There are too many friends around for her to use her grenades...and she is pretty sure just plain darts will not do much. No...<Listen, please, I am seeing some weaknesses here. The Big woman and the martial woman are ground bound, possibly the redhead too. Telekinesis and gravity control can render them incapable of getting any contact to use their powers.>

Aquaman has posed:
A nod is given towards Hal, "Thanks for the assist!" Arthur calls out towards the green lantern as the lunging Harriet is taken out by the blast of green energy. The immediate threat of Mad Harriet gone, his attention soon shifts towards Lashina as she assaults Tempest.

"Hold on Garth!" Arthur calls out, pre-empting the coordination from Martian Manhunter as he lunges forward towards the whip wielding Lashina, lunging with his trident to try and impale, and fling the woman into one of the walls himself, while she is distracted and sending jolts of electricity into the Atlantean Sorcerer.

Thing has posed:
Ben Grimm is a teamplayer.. You have to be when you are a founding member of the pentultimate forefather superhero team in the world. But There are teams and there are mobs and this is more like a mob. With capes everwhere fighting bad guys.. er.. bad /Gals/... Yelling out orders. /THINKING/ out orders. God he hates telepathy.

"God I hate telepathy.." he grimaces, just as Stompa pulverises his makeshift bat with a punch. Holding the bottom third of the pillar he yells across the melee at Sue. "/STOP/ being Chilva.. Chiv.. Stop bein /nice/!? DOES IT /LOOK/ I'M PLAYING /NICE/?!?" he yells.. but has to grin at Jen's quip. "Yeah, nice one green bean! Chicks HATE their shoes bein insulted! It's GENETIC!" he says, looking back at Stompa as she grins at /him/, calls him nice, and raises her foot.

"Fun? Ya bet I am. Handsome too! And I guess yer cute... fer a thick broad and all..." he winks at her. "But ya may wanna think about joining Jenny Craig. Or, ya know, ya can take up a sport!" he says just as she drops her foot, hard.

But Ben is an /experienced/ combatant.. and an ex /all american/ football player. He leaps up JUST as the shockwaves thunder through the ground, the wave passing beneath him like the visiting teams tackling defense. He fliles up, arm pulls all the way back and holding the remaining bit of pillar in his massible hand. "CATCH!!" he yells as he throws the dense material with /all/ his might at Stompa in that moment JUST after she stomps when she is off kilter. A throw as true as his eyes are blue.

Armor has posed:
Thanks to intensive training, Armor gets a brief glimpse of Mad Harriet coming towards her. This gives her enough warning to raise up her right arm to try and block her punch. She had thought something might be coming through that, but the crackling power spikes hit the psionic energy and

it

PEELS back, like a can that got shot with a high powered bullet. The diffused blast hits Armor's arm with sufficient force to bring out a wet snap, the limb jerking down. The 'Armor' material seems to pour back even as Hisako recoils, skidding out again as the pain wanders up her arm, a sort of impact numbness followed by a sense of heat and then of cold, nausea gripping her stomach as the cold lingers, clings, as the /actual/ pain reaches her...

I gotta look, she tells herself, and she lets herself glance, even as the psionic material has already partly curled inwards. It looks like a repair. It IS one. The fabric on that arm is gone and Hisako isn't sure if that's a blister or bone or what. BUT

No, she thinks, refusing the pain. Even at the uncomfortable clamminess clinging her body. NO:

The red light around her contracts inwards, shrinking down a good eight inches in height. It clamps down asymmetrically around the injured arm.

"I don't know why you're here but I am freaking sure it is absolutely nothing good so SHUT -"

Armor moves to try and get her non-dunked arm - more accurately, the hand - wrapped up and around Mad Harriet's wrists. She'll go for anywhere on the arm, really: her goal is to grapple, to establish a fleeting moment of control. "UP!!"

{{Mi-- Phoenix!! Stop her!!}}

She-Hulk has posed:
As Bernadeth goes down, Shulkie hears the call in her head directing them to try and get the Furies out into the plaze instead of indoors. More room, less collateral damage, makes sense. She is about to head over to help with Stompa as she had been directed to by Sue. Only, something sticks out. Someone had yelled about who was leading the Furies. The one who was ordering them to kill the heroes was her very own, blade-loving dance partner. "I think this one's the leader," she calls out, not that she really expects to be heard in all the mass confusion.

She leaps in the direction of Bernadeth before she has a chance to recover, landing over the prone woman. Her leg still is burning and she's completely ticked off now. Not realizing there were additional blows coming in from invisible sources, she adds her own fist to the mix, aimed right for the face of Bernadeth with all her strength. She'll worry about flinging her outside if that doesn't work.

Tempest (343) has posed:
"Gahhhh!!" Garth cries in agony as Lashina's whips wrap around him and the current flows. His shout is cut off as he is smashed into one of the study walls of the Hall.

Luckily, Garth is sturdier. Still, the electricity is incredibly painful and all he can do is struggle against the pain. He reaches for the lashes with twitching fingers, trying to grab them. If he can... just...

Darkstar has posed:
With parts of the Hall of Justice still crumbling and many, many of the refugees still stuck in the middle of all of this, Darkstar keeps her focus on protecting the civilians. With Gilotina's attention diverted in several directions as it is, due to the heroes who continue to pose a threat to her, Darkstar maintains an ever growing Dark Barricade so that these innocents can continue to pass freely, blocking them from any further incoming attack.

At this time, she has received many a telepathic message from various heroes and while she may not know them on a personal level, she has read up on more than half of them -- those prone to being placed in the public eye. When she does find an opening, after Gilotina is struck by one of Storm-Richard's battering rams, Darkstar uses this opportunity to lash out at the youngest of Furies as well.

For now, the Dark Shield goes down as she casts her full focus in Gilotina's direction. Here, the Russian hero conjures up tendrils of Darkforce Energy to try and capture and wrap themselves around the, hopefully, disoriented and perhaps, somewhat winded, young Fury. With the tentacles, she is trying to physically drag Gilotina outside of the Hall and to keep her there. The Fury's strength is formidable and it takes a lot of effort and concentration on Darkstar's part to even be able to keep her bound.

Phoenix has posed:
Gratitude flutters through the psychic link as Gravitas' well and Rachel's own telekinesis lighten Phoenix's mental burden--

*snap!*

-- only to be swiftly replaced by blistering rage and a scream as her student's snapping limb is felt, rather than heard.

For several seconds, a fresh wave of tremors pass through the floor, wall, and ceiling alike as areas of structural damage are exacerbated by the violent removal of further material. Smoke curls from the tips of her hair, her fingers, and deep within her pupils; killing shrapnel and collateral damage alike are drawn towards the floating telepath in spiraling patterns that manage to weave around bystanders and combatants alike. Once near her, it begins to flow together, coiling into a jagged mass above her upturned palm that - somehow - the smoking locks whipping around her body manage to miss tangling with.
Hersrmor's voice rings in her mind; it's unnecessary, what with her eyes already narrowing upon the green-topped shape trying to mug her student.

But it helps, if only to add a layer of urgency when she balls her upraised hand into a fist-- and draws the debris into a massive facsimile of it hovering just above and behind her actual arm.

She tries to broadcast a message to the Furies as she dives, leading with her jury-rigged debris-arm in the hopes of closing shatted glass and twisted steel fingers around the Mad One's body and wrench her from Armor's grasp.

{{Name yourselves,}} she demands, fire spitting from the tips of red tresses, {{and surrender-- you've chosen the absolute wrong planet to invade!}}

Marvel Girl has posed:
Hisako. She can see it coming, but Rachel's far too slow to stop it in time, when Mad Harriet comes calling for her teammate.

    {{Armor!}}

She's too late -- and it's only her great fortune -- and Hisako's, really -- that the psychokinetically-armored X-Man is just fast enough to avoid any fatal damage. But she can feel it, through that mind link, the churn of the girl's gut, the cold burning throb of that pain. Rachel curses herself inwardly; it's a mounting frustration with herself that seems to just grow the more she sees these Furies. They remind her of something. Something deeply unpleasant.

She avoids thinking about it, avoids making that connection, but it lingers like a phantom annoyance as she reaches out with her mind to try to numb Hisako's pain receptors, if only for a moment -- to provide her the pain-killing comfort of the psionic equivalent of a morphine dosage before her own attentions divert. She hears the strategy. The plan. Her eyes shut, as she tries her very best to focus.

"You heard her," she mutters, as she draws upon that psychic wellspring inside of her. Flames flick at her shoulders, telepathic tongues of fire that serve as a focal point for her as she draws in...

    "Shut up... and get the HELL" {{OUT!}}

And then unleashes a concentrated, telekinetic shockwave to add to the Manhunter's efforts and everyone else's, to attempt to sweep up what Furies she can to -shove- them out into the plaza.

Grace Choi (994) has posed:
Bernadeth's head slams backwards as Sue's force hits it, staggering the New God, the Fury of Apokolips backwards to prevent her from getting any momentum on any of this. But, her blades aren't merely defined by laws of physics. As it passes Hal's cheek, cutting it, it spins 'round, and aims to slip itself into Hal's back, and end him, there, and now with a fast rotation. The Furies are playing for keeps. And a kill of a Lantern? That would surely be a feather in their cap, for Darkseid. Her control over the knives is /strong/. But any three of the telepaths here would be able to stop it just in time if they notice it.
Then just as she's getting up, She-Hulk is there, slamming her fist hard, and into the floor, creating a small crater, and a bit of blood on Bernadeth's face. Nw Gods -can- bleed.
The second blade aims for the back of She-Hulk's skull, even as Bernadeth smiles, bloody-toothed, and says, slowly, "We are Lord Darkseid's Furies. I am Bernadeth. You can barely fight us. You think you can stand against Lord Darkseid?" She begins to laugh. "There are only five of us here. All the Furies, combined, could not stand against our Lord. Your world is going to end."

Lashina is hit by Arthur's trident. She is, in fact, impaled. Injured, and she's thrown, thus, into the wall. But even thus, as the wall crumbles with her form and the blood of her side spills across the floor of the Hall of Justice, she holds onto those whips. And she pulls again, after she lands, the electric still streaming out of them. She pulls, hard, to ensnarl Garth and have him collide into the Phoenix, first just after Phoenix collides with Harriet -- "Lashina," she spits in retaliation, and then jerking Tempest back, hard again and with all her strength against his legs which might injure him badly, back to collide into Arthur, all the while the electric current still flowing.

Gilotina is engulfed by the shadow tendrils, and the multiple concussive hits have done their work. So, Darkstar's intent, for now, seems to be working. There are a few sluggish movements, and Darkstar will feel the 'pain' of one, two, three or four of those tendrils of darkness being severed as she slowly awakens, builds her strength back up. Or tries to. Weakened, but not out of the fight. Not yet. Still, pulling her out and away from her team? That, alone is progress. She may try to answer Phoenix's call. But, well. She's a bit muffled.

Grace Choi (994) has posed:
The Thing's attack works, as Stompa was either flirting, or just too arrogant to think that Ben would be able to jump over her shockwave that shook the entire building. There's going to be some massive repairs before it's safe, at this rate to the Hall of Justice before it can safely, really, be used again. But so far it's a least still standing.
Stompa's head lurches backwards as the pillar hits her face and causes her to step backwards, several times, and into the wall to shake her head clear, reorient herself, but for the moment, The Thing's tactic has caused the footquakes to stop. Even more progress is being made.

Mad Harriet is engulfed. By debris. By glass. Shrapnel. It pierces her skin. Bloodies her face, her arms. It knocks her down, and away from Armor. Like an animal, wounded, she crawls up before she feels herself getting 'swept' outside, by Rachel's 'push'.

All the Furies feel it, now, even those injured, like Lashina, even those down on the ground like Bernadeth. Slowly. Little by little. The heroes are gaining ground. And the Furies are being pushed out of the wrecked, but not toppled, Hall of Justice.

Invisible Woman has posed:
Sue sees the blade going for Jen's neck, and she has a force field there to protect her friend. "I don't care who you serve. You're not taking our home." She says as she sets another battering ram from above on Lashina, attempting to pin her on the ground...at least for a few moments. She then taps an ear piece. <<Jen. If you can, find anything on this chick that brought her here. I know she came here from a portal. See if you can find a device upon her to Reed can reverse engineer it.>>

Sarah Osborn has posed:
<Lashia and Bernadeth are the problems, their mentally controlled weapons will not let them be taken out of the fight by keeping them away from the ground or anything else in awm's reach. Invisible Woman, can you Wrap a force field close around Lashia and contain her whips? J'onn, will those blades harm you if you turn intangible? If not, can you try to get them to his the slashing woman? If her power works like I think it does, the blades might be destroyed by the ompact.> Goblin-Girl's mind is as enhanced as her body, and she is putting it to use.

She-Hulk has posed:
Shulkie would be in trouble if Sue hadn't seen that knife coming at the back of her head. She wasn't even aware of it thus would have never dodged. She doesn't seem to care now that Bernadeth is speaking. There is a snarl on her face and she punches at the woman's face again. And again. She goes to pick her up by the front of her clothing when the words from Sue sink through to her temper ridden brain. Device? Search? She frowns as she considers ignoring the words but they something get through the fury (heh) and the green Glamazon quickly works on patting down Bernadeth in the search of anything she might have on her person that looks tech related.

If the search turns up something, it'll be tucked into the pocket of her torn and bloodied jeans to deal with later. Then she will try to pick up the leader of the Furies and literally throw her out the doors into the plaza beyond.

Thing has posed:
Ben Grimm lands as nimbly as his bulk will allow, which is surprisingly nimble, and grins as Stompa stumbles backwards and against the wall.... looking stunned. He does a quick lookaround, to see where everyone is and what they are doing. Of course he checks Sue and Jen first since they are his best friends but as priotective as he is.. They seem to be handling their own just fine. As do most of the others. Which is a good thing, since it's his job to take out the big guns.

"Ya would think with all tha psychics around, someone could.. Oh I dunno.. just put these chicks ta sleep.." he gripes then suddenly runs at Stompa again before she can get her wits together. "Sorry, Toots.. This ain't tha usual way I hit on a woman. So as Much as it pains me, its time fer a night cap!" he growls and leaps at her, fist pulled back until he hurls himself into striking range.. to deliver a blow meant to knock her out.

Molly Millions has posed:
It's a split-second decision, Lashina's under control, but the flick of the blade reversing itself catches Molly's attention. She's got no telekinesis or energy blasts, and while she's got razor sharp reflexes, her strength is hardly competition for most of those present. Still. When the blade reverses she snaps out a hand to grab it.. then the other one. It takes an effort of will, twisting her body into it, to divert it's course... the blade fighting her back for every inch and carving a groove down one forearm where it slips free momentarily.

The sunglasses are toast, sure, but she's a little more concerned about just trying to keep that thing under control and shove it tip first into the ground and squat there to try and keep it contained for now. The wound on her arm burns, it sizzles and pares flesh back from the underlaying metal of the hands that hold it but for now at least she figures the best she can do to help is keep that blade from trying to kill anyone else.

Martian Manhunter has posed:
Using the momentum that they are gaining, J'onn continues to push Knockout with the rest of the furies, and his telekinetic push mixes with other telekinetics. The very air itself shakes with the power being unleashed on the Astral Plane, and the Last of the Martians will not give in. He forces himself to grow another five feet, head barely below the ceiling of the Hall now.

Out of the corner of his mind, J'onn notices the danger to Hal, but his extra senses lets him know that Molly has taken care of it. He sends a mental <Thank You> before redoubling his efforts against his enemy. To the team of heroes he broadcasts <The last of the non-combatants are almost out. When we have them in the plaza I will lock the Hall down.>

"Trust me, Thing, we have been trying." The Martian responds back to Ben Grimm, "But many of them have been keeping the debris from hurting any innocents. A most noble pursuit..." then he morphs his foot into a giant battering ram as he attempts to deliver a kick to Knockout's body that will send her back the last distance into the plaza.

Aquaman has posed:
With Lashina standing out as one of the more potent and capable of the woman warriors, Arthur Curry focuses in on her, launching himself at her with a powerful leap as Tempest is yanked away, her control of the whips not effected by being flung across the hall. "Let him go and fight me!" He shouts, his arm cocking back mid-air, aiming to deliver a powerful punch at the lash wielding Fury.

"Tempest, try to free yourself while I'm on her!" Arthur relays over the telepathic link that J'onn has established, moving to throw another punch at the embattled Lashina, aiming to distract her, and make himself a more prominent target for the whips.

Tempest (343) has posed:
Garth has probably never taken such a beating before - these are New Gods tossing him around like a rag doll. He had intended to grab Lashina's whips and hopefully pull her off-balance but instead is ignominiously used as an ersatz weapon himself - crashing into Jean and then Arthur.

Though he has no time to react or speak, alarms are going off in his body. Things are broken. Things are breaking. Things inside. At this point he's just limp, clinging to consciousness.

Darkstar has posed:
Just this struggle, the Fury's physical power over her mental capabilities, is taking a toll on Darkstar and that struggle increases all the more with each tendril that is cut. For a new mutant, just the exertion of keeping Gilotina bound would be trying, but as Darkstar has trained in her abilities since her power's onset, and was pushed to the limits throughout her life -- that alone is what keeps her going even now.

As Gilotina continues to try and break free, Darkstar works to strengthen her hold on the warrior woman; slowly hovering further outside of the Hall of Justice with her caught bounty.

<I'm not going to be able to keep her forever.> She lets the others know about the Gilotina situation. And while she is no telepath, herself, she figures at least one of them can hear her, because she can hear them! She also didn't want her opponent to know that she may very well be at the end of her ropes, focus-wise.

tThe tendrils redouble in strength for now, trying to keep the young Fury from using her arms as she is slowly, but surely dragged outside and into the open. They begin to put a tighter squeeze on the Fury and in an effort to cause some damage to Gilotina, Darkstar uses the Darkforce tendrils to lift the woman up into the air before slamming her down hard into the ground. Hopefully, that will take some wind out of her.

Armor has posed:
The psionic opiates hit Hisako's nervous system and play nicely with the adrenalin in her system. Her arm aches, sure, and she sure doesn't intend to hit anyone with that fist - but is this the best they can do?!

The others introduce themselves. "Darkside?" Armor gasps out even so, because despite riding high, she's also still in mild shock and coated in agony-sweat. The others sound off - Bernadeth, Lashina - the one before her. Armor looks down at her, raising her un-injured arm -

Whoosh! She's being swept out.

Hisako feels herself tremble in the small of her back and her legs, and she wills it to stop. Exhaling through clenched teeth she stands fully upright and glowers at Bernadeth - "Armor" feels kind of petty compared to the sobriquets these alien furies are packing.

Chaos is still ensuing and she can hear someone call for help - Darkstar. The struggling and severing Fury there is apparently not nearly deterred enough. She breaks into a run forwards, trying to shoot a mental equivalent of a thumbs-up emoji at Jean, at Rachel, before the focus comes to her. Well: To Gilotina.

"Oi! If those are you then pull them back in a minute!" Hisako shouts ahead, voice high and shrill but carrying pretty effectively as she works up a head of speed. Once she's clear of the increasingly precarious hall, or at least has a good line of sight, she /leaps/ up into the air, bringing the less-wounded arm around to cover her face.

Her right leg raises upwards, the crimson light sparkling as she hikes it upwards, curling in the left --

"Now!" Armor shouts, before coming down with a concussively-backed reinforced leg-drop right onto (hopefully) the upper body of Gilotina! 'Tina might not see it coming, though she might in turn see the ground.

Phoenix has posed:
Psychic pressure flows through and against Phoenix's crushing hand, tightening it into a vice made of endless sharp points. Tongues of flame slither down its wrist-stump on their way towards writhing between fingers to lash at the laughing sadist. Divine bones grind against one another, and the merciless pressure shows no signs of letting up until the laughing sadist goes still.

Or until a super-dense sorcerer is whipped into the redhead's back, slamming her several feet away from the artificial extremity mere seconds after contact. The hand collapses into a mountain of debris for Harriet to skitter - or be pushed free of - while Phoenix pushes herself up on shaking limbs, staring at the red puddle quickly spreading across the ground.

At least, she stares at it until it's instantly dried by a burning flare from her crater-wide eyes. Once that happens, she twists herself up onto a knee, then to her feet, head swiveling rapidly to and fro in search of Lashina while the rest of her wobbles about a bit unsteadily. Blood streams freely past her chin, onto her costume; the world tilts drunkenly back and forth. Burning wings unfurl from her back-- and once they do, her eyes snap instantly to the Furies being driven towards the plaza.

{{One day, certainly,}} she broadcasts as flames rise past her shoulders and mold themselves into a bird's head, complete with balefully twinkling eyes, {{but not today-- not at the hands of your Lord, or his mouthy fodder.}} Once it reaches a height of four or so feet past Phoenix's shoulders, the burning raptor rears back momentarily before darting forward, beak splitting to unleash a torrent of cosmic fire and telekinetic force alike upon Lashina.

And at the same time, the sorcerer on the other end of her lines feels a spike of warmth in his mind as an imperious voice commands:

{{WAKE. UP.}}

The order is accompanied with a blunting of his pain receptors to help rouse him, but Phoenix doesn't linger, there; lucky Lashina's got the bulk of her attention.

Grace Choi (994) has posed:
Thanks to Sue's force field, She-Hulk's life is spared by a fractional second. Then, Bernadeth is punched, and, punched again. And again. But as she's being searched? Her hand suddenly shoots out, to grip She-Hulks neck. And then the other hand. And the very strong woman begins to strangle She-Hulk. Quite capably, too, for the present, even with She-Hulks regenerative powers the Glamazon may have to put that search on hold.
And then Molly. The little imp has one of her blades. One of her blades that has singed a good many of Mollys internal nanites, and fried her body from within just as it did with She-Hulk. The free blade whips around, this time headed for Molly's head, even as Goblin-Girl suggests the strategy which may win the heroes this particular fight and keep the Hall of Justice standing for another day.

Stompa is hit. And, hit hard, by The Things punch. Her own mouth becomes bloody, in return. "Now you're just flirting with me," she tells Ben, and, she in turn slugs him back, her fist not even hurting as she slams into his rock-hard jaw. But she sees what is happening. And, she slams her foot again into the ground, to send another earth-rippling shudder into the building, and around the heroes -- this one less designed to take the Hall down, and more to give her 'sisters' time to regroup as this one is aimed at She-Hulk, even as Gilotina and Knockout, both, are being literally shoved outside, and presently unable to do too much.
"Sorry, handsome. Duty calls." And she's running. And each foostep. Each slam of her foot into the ground causes a shockwave going forwards, sending heroes and debris, and the Hall itself shuddering as she moves towards She-Hulk and Bernadeth, to slam her fist into She-Hulk, to grab her 'sister', her leader, and try to regroup. No one has to 'help' Stompa, or Bernadeth to get outside, out of the Hall. They're moving that way of their own violition.

Her target taken out, or so she deems, Lashina does indeed 'give up' on Garth, and focuses then on Aquaman. But it may be too late, as the King of Atlantis, one of the most powerful men on Earth punches her, hard. She goes crashing through the wall, then with the force of his punch, and out into the street where, no doubt, she'll be joining Knockout whose already there, and slowly picking herself up thanks to J'onn's shapeshifting and massive strength. And then, before she can even get up, she's treated to the Phoenix's Fury, and wroth, and she screams -- in mad delight, and in pain and agony both.

For Gilotina's part? The massive teamwork attack on her early on has her still groggy. And while she can, and does, attempt to fight back against Darkstar, her feet, and arms, her elbows becoming super-sharp and incisive, it's just not enough until she's pulled out into the street, and out of the Hall as well. And just as she starts to struggle to get free? Armor's armored leg slams into her head, taking more of the fight out of her.

Sarah Osborn has posed:
Sarah has not noted anyone listening to her strategies, but then things have been a bit hectic. Well, right now, she has one remaining thing she needs to do...that is distract Mad Harriot. She is pretty fast and agile...perhaps acting actobatic will be enough to get the attention of the Dark Goddess of madness.

Thing has posed:
Ben Grimm really wishes he had some plithy comeback for the stomping Giantess but even though she doesn't hurt him, she is super trong and he does fly back a bit. He rolls his jaw once, growling again and is about to go after her as he stomps off.. each foot fall, like the others, causing seismic tremors.. and the building is already pretty damaged. It doesn't matter if she was trying to bring down the structure or not. One of the pillars, not the one he used of course, /was/ load bearing and has cracked. The bottom part of it crumbles and making a choice to follow Stompa and stop an imminent collapse that could hurt teh many people who haven't been fully evacuated yet.. well thats a no brainer.

The orange boulder of a man slips beenath the hanging collumb, becoming it's base as it rests on his back just between his wide shouldrs. He grunts, taking the weight of the reinforced roof high above... like Atlas. "Guess this gives.. a new meanin'... *huff*.. ta tha term... *Grunt*... Homewrecker.." he cracks.. though not entirely happy.

Martian Manhunter has posed:
Once that J'onn has sent Knockout back into the Plaza he takes a moment to view the surrounding devastation, and frowns. Even more so when feels the shockwave that Stompa sends out, and uses his telekinesis in order to stabilize his position. He looks around at the others taking up the fight against the Furies, and focuses on the Hall itself. He reaches out with his telekinesis to steady the building, trying to make it as structurally sound as possible, while the shockwave makes it's way through the building. "We will not let the Hall be destroyed..."

Marvel Girl has posed:
There's one out. Rachel's senses are on high alert, her green eyes wide as she watches with a certain, sinking satisfaction as Mad Harriet goes flying away from the others to land in the plaza beyond. Flame and telekinetic force whip around her for a few, brief seconds longer as Rachel pushes her way out of the Hall of Justice, taking a telepathic stock of her surroundings.

People are wounded, but still fighting. But the same goes for the Furies. Those blades are a problem -- with how much they fly around no matter what the bruisers of their team due to Bernadeth, Rachel has to figure there's some mental component there. Her lips curl into a frown, eyes squeezing shut as she listens to the New God speak her threats and promises with absolute, bloodied assurance. Flashes of a bearded man in purple armor gloating over the ruined carcass of what was once a city flashes by.

"... I won't let you," she whispers, turning her attention away from the fallen - for now - Harriet to refocus upon Bernadeth just beyond. It might be ill-advised, but she's focused on trying to take those blades out of the field.

And maybe, maybe, vent her frustrations.

    {{You think you're the first people to try to take this planet? To make it something -you- think is good? I've seen people like you. I've lost my home to people like you.}} Anger rises to the surface of Rachel's thoughts, bubbling like liquid flame as she tries to reach out to Bernadeth even as She-Hulk pummels her. Flickers of something black and jagged seared into her cheek appears and disappears like a blink in reality. {{And you're all the same. The same kind of -ugly- and -putrid-. And I won't lose another home to monsters like you!}}

She lashes out. There's no finer point to put on it. She looks to drive a wedge into Bernadeth's mind as forcefully as a blunt instrument and send a raw psychic shock to burn through her thoughts and neural impulses and disrupt them and hopefully loosen her control and focus. Painfully.

Invisible Woman has posed:
The shockwave does send Sue flying into the air, but she does catch herself with one of her force fields. She then moves over to help Ben with the load bearing pillar by suing one of her force fields to create her own pillar. But it's not going to last long.

Molly Millions has posed:
Molly's capable of feeling pain, absolutely, when the blade wrenches itself up the noise she makes is decided proof of that. And then the damned thing is reversing itself to go for her head. She could dodge, but that would leave Hal's back exposed, so in the split second she brings up her already damaged arm between the blade and her head. Choosing what she's willing to sacrifice in order to keep the Lantern... and herself, comparatively safe.

It's not that she thinks she can keep it there long term. It's already wiggling, struggling. Paring it's way through her arm and the pain brings tears to her eyes sufficient to make her have to spit as she drags a pistol out from under her jacket. She doesn't have the ability to go invisible, and truthfully can't spare the focus for Sarah's words beyond the basic concept of trying to destroy the blade. The pepperbox muzzle is set against the already damaged limb, safety flicked to full auto, and an electric *FWOOMF* sounds as she chooses to open up on the blade at point-blank through her own arm in the theory that she'll lose over the long-haul if she can't manage to shatter it. Better to lose the arm than her life, after all.

She-Hulk has posed:
The hand gripping her throat is tightening down. The other hand captures her wrist. Shulkie would laugh if she could. Lately, she's been spending a lot of time grappling with someone far better than the Fury who is doing her best to end the green goddess' life. Even as Bernadeth is holding her, Shulkie finds an odd sense of calm as she falls back on all that recent training.

She twists her wrists sharply, hard, against the thumb so the hand is forced to release her arm. Then she brings her other arm up and slams it into the arm that is holding her throat. A second blow then a third. As that doesn't seem to be working, she straightens her hand and goes for a nerve strike to the shoulder. It should numb the arm and hand at her throat, making them useless so they will fall away from her. "I'm getting really tired of you," she hisses. She moves to pick up the woman and literally slam her into the floor like a rag doll. She'll search for the device after. Maybe.

Tempest (343) has posed:
Garth's eyes flicker open as the Phoenix dulls his pain and then he sits upright as she commands him to *wake*.

"Grrahh." he snarls, looking around for one of the foes to vent his fury on. Garth is not home, folks. There's just that fierce part of him that is still a lonely child surviving on his own on the bottom of the sea.

There she is... the person who hurt. He raises his glowing hands, and outside storm clouds begin to build, too rapidly to be natural. Lightning starts to play inside, great sparks jumping from dark mass to dark mass. They're not happy little clouds. No, they're angry.

In the hall, purple light builds in Tempest's eyes and then he releases all of his pent-up fury at the Fury called Lashina - full power. They can melt steel or destroy a main battle tank. It should at least tickle this warrior-woman.

Darkstar has posed:
And just like that, Darkstar's request for assistance is answered.

The Darkforce user can already feel her hold on Gilotina waning, which was very concerning to her. But in a flash, the cavalry appears in the form of Armor and this lightens the heavy weight upon her shoulders. For the time being, she keeps her grip on the Fury, but once word is given, she is all too eager for that release and the Darkforce energy quickly fades into nothingness. The toll taken on her mind is a hefty one, so much that rather than remain hovering, she decides to land and gather her bearings once again. With one hand raised, fingertips presses against one of her temples, she calls out to Armor in the distance in her steady tone, "Thank you. I was afraid that she may be released prematurely. And she very well may have been without your help." It will take a few moments for her to fully recover, but even Darkstar knows that this was no time to rest. She keeps a steady gaze on the weakened Gilotina and looks prepared to lash out at the woman once again if she dares to make any further moves. Though all around them, she knows that there are still battles to be fought and won.

Aquaman has posed:
"How is the hall holding, J'onn?" Arthur calls, a glance cast towards the Martian Manhunter, another towards Tempest, nodding at the other Atlantean. "Be cautious!" He shouts to the gathering of heroes as the Furies begin moving, some of them of their own volition, out into the plaza themselves, "They could be pulling us back into a trap!"

That said, Arthur takes his Trident in hand and rises up, advancing in the direction of the main entrance of the Hall, following after the Furies, his armor melted on the side, and a bit of a burn and fresh blood visible beneath where Mad Harriet got him.

Phoenix has posed:
The scintillating column twists along when Phoenix takes flight once again, remaining oriented upon Lashina for several agonizing seconds before vanishing. The blazing, avian aura remains intact, wings beating with a rhythmic fury as she joins the Furies and the other heroes in taking the fight outside. That Stompa and Bernadeth are some of the few Furies to vacate the Hall under their own power is not missed, but once she feels the violent echo of Rachel's psychic assault, she elects to focus her attention fully upon the woman with the earth-shattering step.

No-- scratch that-- the woman with the earth-shattering step and a weapon in the distance, once a brisk pulse of telekinetic energy washes over it and prickles her senses. Almost surgically, she wrenches it free with a quick twist-- which likely sends bystanders not so far away into a bit of a panic as dust and stray bits of metal briefly pepper the sidewalk.

Thing and the Invisible Woman are doing their best to manage the damage Stompa caused in switching venues, so in turn, Phoenix tries to manage Stompa by driving her weapon of choice - the Daily Planet's globe, name and all - into the towering Fury from above in the hopes of trapping her between the iconic sculpture and the Earth itself.

Armor has posed:
Hisako tenses up and expects to feel that sudden rock-heavy, stunning impact to her leg. Possibly taking the leg with it - but - no -

She lands near Gilotina, outside the Hall of Justice. Boy, does it look beat up, Armor thinks - like an earthqu- oh, right, the one fighting the ever-lovin' Thing. Jean shrieks overhead, and Armor exhales.

"You're welcome," she tells Darkstar, beaming suddenly. (Her face is pale and her hair is messed up underneath it, but she's trying!) "Hold on -"

Armor wheels on Gilotina.

"I don't trust you to not stab people with your like, elbow stuff, so," Armor begins, before executing something that came up in class once. That's right: Mid sentence, she suddenly throws a driving left handed straight at Gilotina's breadbasket with one red-sheathed fist, twisting the hand round afterwards for an overhead one-handed haymaker to try and drive her in the ground!

"That's for PROPERY DAM-"

Armor falls silent as the Daily Planet descends, eyes going wide. This might give Gilotina an opening, but then again maybe not.

Grace Choi (994) has posed:
The Things quick actions prevent further damages to the Hall, and perhaps from the building partially collapsing in on itself presently. Though, that is a huge amount of weight to bear, and he won't be able to hold it forever, though his efforts are bolstered by Sue, and will be more than enough until Superman or someone of equal caliber can reseal the pillar and make certain it's not going to destabilize again.

She-Hulk gets a few more hits into Bernadeath, despite the Furies efforts, before Stompa's strength and her seismic waves disrupt the Jade Giantess to pry Bernadeth from her as Stompa makes a literal break for it, knowing that they -have- to regroup if they stand any chance at all. And most of their sisters are outside. The siesmic waves follow her, cracking pavement, shuddering streetlights and signs until she sets Bernadeth down near Knockout.

One of the last hopes of this fight are when Rachel, however temporarily, manages to cause Bernadeth's Faren-Knives to falter, including the one Molly was struggling with -- and her weapons seem to do it no perceivable damage. Damn alien metallurgy. Instead, lifeless, they clatter to the ground as the wounded leader of the Furies snarls in mental agony -- and then, then they pick up again, and this time they whistle through the air with ferocious speed back to their Mistress, who catches each and sheathes them. She sees the Daily Globe twisting. Falling. "Regroup!" She calls, and, that Boom Tube -- that horrific device that Sue wanted so badly is pulled out.

    BOOM.

Lashina screams again as her skin sizzles with Garth's own fury returned upon her. Bleeding, bloody, wrecked, Lashina is dragged by Knockout into the portal, pausing to snarl her own fury at J'onn, before the first two Furies disappear.

Gilotina 'wakes up' too. And, she turns her entire body into a weapon, twisting, turning, and ready to slice through -anything-, including Armor, that touches her, or tries. She wrests out of the hold with Armor distracted and manages to slice into that psionic armor -- though not quite past it. Gilotina's only fighting now to get free. But it shows how lethal she can be. She runs. She does -not- look Bernadeth in the face. Not in the least. Instead, she silently runs into the portal, disappearing as the other two have already done.

Grace Choi (994) has posed:
"Darkseid could have killed Superwoman. Remember that, Earthlings. Your world is dying. And you are too blind to see it," spits Bernadeth, in true devotion to her Dark God, Darkseid. One, afterall, must remain faithfull.

Stompa can move fast, for such a big girl, the largest of the Furies, she. And just as the Daily Globe is about to crash, and crush -- it may or may not be something either of them can catch, she grabs Bernadeth, and hauls her leader, and the last of the Furies into the portal, the swirling mass of energy closing instantly behind them.

In their wake, the Furies have left a measure of destruction behind. The Hall will need a /lot/ of work. It's no longer a refuge for any. Structurally very unsound. Tempest is injured, as is Armor - both will need immediate medical attention. And if the Furies are right? ... the fight for Earth is only going to get harder, after this ...

At their arrival, back on Apokolips, Granny is waiting.

"You have all disappointed Granny," she tells them, sternly. She shakes her head. "Darkseid will -not- be pleased with you. Any of you." She looks to Gilotina. "And you. You disappointed Granny the -most-. You. Go in. The box." Her mouth twists, violently. "The rest of you, get yourselves together. Granny will send someone -new- with you, next time. Someone -proper-. And do not disappoint me, again."

Martian Manhunter has posed:
"I believe I can hold the Hall for now as long as we keep the fight outside, Aquaman." J'onn responds back, his brow is furrowed in concentration, and it is evident that he is expending a great deal of focus in order to keep make sure the Hall doesn't collapse. As he searches through the building, he adds, "It will take some repairs to fix, Aquaman. I believe it will stand on it's own eventually, but we should move the people from it."

J'onn looks around to the rest of the heroes, "We cannot thank you all enough for your quick assistance. You have saved many lives today, and the League is very appreciative."

Invisible Woman has posed:
Susan Storm-Richards rubs her face as J'onn takes over. "It's fine. I happened to be in the neighborhood." She then rubs her face. Her nose is bleeding. That's not good. "I'm glad they retreated when they did."

Phoenix has posed:
BOOM.

*KRRRASH!*

"-- nnh--"

Seconds after the Daily Planet's planet hits the ground, Phoenix's knees finally give way and the bloodied mutant hits the ground like a string-less marionette, flames disappearing in an instant.

Molly Millions has posed:
Molly doesn't know anything about telekinesis, really. The blade might not be damaged, but the important part is that it stopped trying to kill her, in Molly's book... that's a win, even if the shredded mess of her arm makes her want to black out. It's an effort to get to her feet and she can't help but flinch when the damned thing starts moving again... oh hell naww... but off it goes, away, and so the pistol gets shoved back into its holster so she can clutch the wounded arm, calling up the drone and deciding now's a great time to limp out of there to something resembling 'safety'.

Aquaman has posed:
"They're gone." Arthur says with a glance towards J'onn, "I'm going to take the injured to the facilities on the Watchtower. Objections?" He asks, a glance cast towards Tempest primarily, Armor next, "Gather up the wounded!" He calls out, "Bring them into the hall by me. We need to start evacuating the refugees next. Atlantean aid vessels are on their way, but they might be some time out still, We need someone to get them to a safe place in the meantime."

Darkstar has posed:
Lucky for Gilotina that Darkstar was distracted enough by the destruction done to the Daily Globe in the distance that she does not catch the Fury's escape. When the Russian hero looks over her shoulder, their prisoner is already darting to the portal. Not that, she will do anything to prevent the invader's escape. It is better that they leave from where they are from than linger on earth for a second longer.

She can clearly see the immense damage done to the once great Hall of Justice, but buildings mean nothing. It is the people who matter. To Armor, she turns and inquires, "You are hurt? We will find you a medic." It will take a while for the city to calm down after this attack, but there is no time to waste and only time for all involved to start picking up the pieces in this aftermath.

Armor has posed:
"Ghyah!" Armor emotes as the blades SLIP THROUGH her armor, making her recoil on reflex. She'll feel awful about that later. Especially if Gilotina murders thousands. But for now she mostly feels 'uncut'.

After the Furies depart, almost as quick as they came, peace returns. Hisako's arm throbs. It reminds her it's there. Still! She breathes heavily, her armor significantly paler than it was before. She looks towards Darkstar then, blinking, and says, "I have to - uh! I - uh - yeah, but Phoenix -"

Armor sways left and right. After this she crouches slightly, into a steadier stance. "I don't know how she - is, get someone for her!" Her voice lowers, and Hisako tries to not sound queasy. "It's not bleeding much, so, like... I didn't hit my head or anything. Right?" A ringing sound drifts in and out of her left ear. Great, Hisako thinks.

"I'll be fine for a minute," she concludes, which is an exaggeration: but, Hisako thinks, if I just stand still and breathe, it'll be good. In - out -

Marvel Girl has posed:
She wants it to hurt. She wants it to -burn-. She has to force herself to stop before she goes too far, and part of her does not want to.

Part of Rachel thinks the universe would be better off if she just burned that mind out into a smoking pit of dead neurons.

But she forces herself to stop with a sharp, choked gasp of frustration and exhaustion, drowned out by the sound of the planet falling. Not literally. She has to look up in wonder at what Jean accomplishes, seconds before the impact deafens her and blinds her within the gout of dust and dirt that bursts out from the crushing impact point. Adrenaline bleeds away. And in that moment, she feels like nothing more than a sack of bones, sagging forward -- and only stopping herself from hitting her knees as she sees that other redhead collapse to the ground.

"Mo--" No, she chokes that back, shaking her head as she rushes to the fallen Jean's side. "Phoenix! Armor, we need to -- we need to get her somewhere safe, is there a medic, something, anything--?? Hurry!"

She's not freaking out. She's just concerned for a teammate. That sounds believable.

Martian Manhunter has posed:
Moving towards Jean, J'onn says to Rachel and the rest of the team that showed up with her, "We have facilities at the Watchtower that can see to her, the best that Mars and Earth has to offer, we will take care of her until she is able to return with you to the Mansion." His voice calm, and comforting as he reaches down to scan Jean mentally for any injuries that need to be stabilized.

He nods in Arthur's direction, continuing to speak to Rachel, "Aquaman has offered sanctuary to those that need it. You are welcome to come with us while we see to her care." Once he's positive there is nothing that will cause serious damage by moving her, the Martian gently lifts Jean, saying to Aquaman, "Once we have the injured in the Medical Facility I will return to keep the Hall stead as we continue the evacuation."

Tempest (343) has posed:
Garth is a mess. His very nice suit is in tatters, the pants torn up by the lashes and the rest mangled and tirn by impacts and catching on rebar. His face isn't much better, one eye starting to swell shut, his nose bloody and adding to the ruin of his jacket and shirt.

He holds his forehead in a palm. "Arthur?" he mutters weakly. "I'm going to lay down, Arthur. My head hurts." and he does. "I think my legs might be broken." Even if Arthur isn't at his side, Garth seems to think he is.

Darkstar has posed:
"Phoenix?" Darkstar asks with a curious tilt of her head. She had heard so many voices in her mind through the entirety of this battle, perhaps one of them was this Phoenix. Offering Armor some support, allowing the young woman to lean against her if need be, the Russian then states, "Then we shall find your friend." Luckily, for the both of them, that the King of Atlantis is providing a safe haven for the injured and the refugees, so that is one direction in which she tries to lead Armor towards.

As she helps her new found comrade to walk, her eyes lower to view the injury, if she can see anything of it, if not, at the very least, she watches the way Hisako moves, her gait, the way her limbs sway.

Armor has posed:
Armor sort of shuffles along. It is clear from her expression that she is biting back what is probably pretty bad pain out of a sense of duty. She does explain, "Aka - excuse me, red hair, there - yes, you see, here, hi! I know her," she explains to Darkstar, indicating Rachel.

"Is she trapped?" Armor calls out. Do I have to roll that Planet over, Hisako thinks.

Aquaman has posed:
Arthur will move to Tempest's side and carefully start to help him up, "This will hurt a bit, but we're getting you to a medical facility." He says, gesturing the other injured, and those helping the injured towards him. "We will get them settled and they will be well taken care of. The rest of you need to remain here and protect the refugees." Arthur says, "Martian Manhunter and I will be back soon."

Once everyone is gathered up near Arthur, he will trigger his JL Comm, "We have wounded coming up, prepare to transport." He says, and then, those who are wounded and going will vanish in a beam of light, and appear aboard the Justice League's Watchtower, up in space!
