Sand and Foam
Date of Scene: 21 August 2017
Location: Metropolis
Synopsis: Traci, Paisley, and Atlee finish cleaning up the beach and reunite after the monster visit.
Cast of Characters: Terra, Traci 13, 267

Atlee (1034) has posed:
It's been a couple days or so since the monster attack, and communities along the coast are still reeling from the unexpected attack. While heroes were quick to respond, along with police, SWAT, and even the local National Guard, many people still died due to the sheer suprise and numbers of the creatures surging onto the coast. Now, it's time for repairs and grieving.

By this point, the beach is starting to look back to normal. The stone spikes have been retracted, the pits have been filled back in. It's the sand that's the problem, from the look of it, as, well, Atlee is both trying to work with wet sand, which is harder since water isn't her thing, and trying to filter out debris, especially any sea creatures who have moved in to the pile of sand. Since it's a huge city, this devolved into her actually filtering out the junk and trash. Thus, there's now a pile of trash in a giant crude stone bin, next to a much larger pile of cleaned up sand which is currently being pushed by the geokinetic to roll out across the beach in slow waves, expanding farther and farther to cover the bare rock. There's already a basic scattering of sand even over that rocky bit, because some city officials showed up to complain so she spread out what she had at the time to mollify them, after promising to finish. It never occured to her to say no, after all. She DID break it.

Terra is looking a bit worn out by this point, to be honest.

Traci 13 has posed:
Traci had gone home, exhausted from her own efforts in dealing with the monster after teleporting to the shoreline to help. It'd taken her a full day, nearly, to recover and replenish her magical energies which was done mostly through sleep, and meditation. Then half a day or so to tell Paisley all about it, before she began to drag Paisley with her back to the coast, knowing that Atlee was going to need some help in replenishing the beach and the sand. However, what she finds she wasn't -quite- expecting, with the huge pile of garbage and the very tired Terra.
She walks in, holding Paisley's hand and raises her other to call out, "Atlee! Looks like you've been busy. We're here to help. Friends stick together, right?"

Paisley (267) has posed:
"I'm not sure *what* I can do to help but I'm here to do it?" Paisley offer,s squinting slightly as she surveys the scene. "Miiiight be a bit above my paygrade." The white-haired girl shrugs her shoulders slightly and allows herself to be led by Traci toward the beach. That's a constant between the two of them: Traci always seems to be in charge. Paisley rarely disagrees with the taller girl, much lass actively dissents.
"Anyhow. This looks like it was----" The young Fae trails off for a second and then briefly gnaws her bottom lip. "Well. It looks like something anyway." Then the girl shrugs.

Atlee (1034) has posed:
Atlee looks over and perks up noticeably at your arrivals. "Oh! Hi!' She starts walking your way. Not jogging, you notice..she really must be kind of tuckered out at this point. But she meets you halfway easily enough. "Oh, thank you! You didn't have to do that ..." she says with a smile. "I appreciate it though. Um, I think I have a lot of it finished and the holes are filled in and the wall and the spikes are put away...I left the circle though, it was kind of pretty. Maybe they can make it a planter or something!"

She leans in to hug both girls firmly, at the same time, because obviously group hugs are best in that regard. "Mmmm, it's so nice to see you when nothing is trying to eat me or you."

Traci 13 has posed:
"I prefer to not be eaten," Traci agrees to Atlee, with a side-smile. "Looking good." She looks over towards the huge trash-pile, briefly, then back to Atlee, "Doing some work for extra credit?" Though, Traci seems to amusedly approve. She adds to Paisley, "If nothing else, you're moral support. Besides, Atlee hasn't seen you. She was starting to think you were a figment of her imagination," Traci teases the young Fae, simply because she can.
She exhales, then nods to Atlee some, "The circle is pretty cool. And it's there if - well, Momzilla ever comes back, for any spellcaster to use as a focal point. So there's that, too." Again, Traci seems to approve.

Paisley (267) has posed:
"Prefer not to be eaten? You- could- have- fooled- me," Paisley chimes in in a sing-song voice, a sly smile on her lips. She shifts her weight from left to right then and takes a deep breath as she raises her voice perhaps half an octave. "OH, Mistress Traci. Yes, Mistress Traci. Of course I'll- .... ALl night? Nnn..." Then she breaks into a chorus of raucous laughter, shaking her head as she does.
"The circle's pretty stellar," Paisley agrees imemdiately, returning to more practical matters in a breath. She shakes her head once in a flurry of white tresses and looking between the other two women. "But if anything else tries to eat you I'm turning them into a toad," she mutters darkly. "Unless they're cute and want to share. Then we can talk about not toading. Aaaaaaanyway. Atlee, you should visit more."

Atlee (1034) has posed:
"Well, I had to filter out all the sand anyway, so I thought I might as well make it nice too...." Atlee starts. "Then this very angry man from the city showed up and was all upset about the beach being like it was, so I offered to do more of it so it would be even nicer after I put it back together..." Because that's how Atlee thinks, really.

She blinks at Paisley, before she gets a faint blush at her comment. Ooooh. Apparently someone clued Atlee into things like that. She breaks into little giggles at the high-pitched voice, covering her mouth slightly, though she does blush all the more. "Um...I dont' know if you can call her -moral- support..." she whispers, a bit shyly. Not really sure if that is a jokey thing, but Paisley thinks its funny, so...well, she immediately looks a bit unsure of herself.

And quickly moves on a bit, feeling super awkward suddenly. ""O-Oh? I...I'd like to come by more. If it's okay. I didn't want to be a pest..." And, Atlee doesn't really get invited over to friend's houses much, thus far. "I could bring pizza?"

Traci 13 has posed:
Traci's cheeks pinken, slightly and she nudges Paisley, "Geeze, Paisley," looking somewhat horrified, and embarassed all at once. "That's between -us-." And, rather than dwell on it, Traci is moving onto the other topics, after clearing her throat and brushing her hair from her face.
She clears her throat again, then answers Atlee, "You can't make everyone happy. Should've told him that you are, and he can thank you that he's probably alive today," she points out, mildly frustrated still that someone might've harrassed one of her friends, like that.
"Of course you can come by. Pretty much anytime you like." Traci squeezes Paisley's hand, before releasing it, "You're pretty much one of our favorite people, along with Nico, Atlee."

Paisley (267) has posed:
"Mmmhmm. Visit whenever you want. There's even ice cream usually. And cake," Paisley agrees, nodding once. She glances at Traci and the other girl's response to her antics and then shrugs slowly. Traci releases the petite girl's hand and she resolves to make her way along the beach, those blue eyes particularly intense as she studies the mess.
"Okay..." Paisley muses, tiltign her head slightly as she does so. Careful steps leave footprints in the sand as she slowly moves further and further from her friends. "How to deal with this..."

Atlee (1034) has posed:
Atlee smiles warmly. 'I do like cake and ice cream...but also friends.' she says gently. "You're some of my best friends too, I'd love to do more with you." She bounces on her toes a little, smiling, then sighs a little at the gentle chiding and frustration. "...I just felt responsible, I mean...I did mess it all up in the first place, even it was for a good reason."

She starts to watch as Paisley pads away a bit down the beach, curious, before she says. "Have I met Nico? I don't remember a Nico. Is she nice too? What's she like?' she says thoughfully.

Traci 13 has posed:
"You didn't mess anything up at all," says Traci, encouragingly to Atlee. "Anymore than I did. We did what we could. We saved people. And, as you said - the sand? You can replace it. Because you're just that awesome."
Traci watches Paisley walk away, and her lips press down, thoughtfully, as to how best get rid of the built-up garbage within the sand that Atlee has filtered out, completely.
"If anything? You've made it -better-. The beach is clean now. Super clean. And kids can play in it again, without risking getting hurt. Or animals that feed off the beach won't get stuck in trash. So, you're like, a double-hero," she tells Atlee.
Then, she looks back to the garbage pile again, moving to Paisley after she pulls off her own shoes, preferring to walk barefoot in the clean sand. "Maybe we could bind it all together, like a ball?"

Paisley (267) has posed:
"A ball? You think?" Paisley arches a brow at this and then gives a slow shrug of her shoulders. Blue eyes turn upward toward the sky as she considers it a moment. Then the girl givves a simple shrug.
"I guess that could work," she muses finally, tilting herh ead slightly as she does so. "I'm not sure," the girl admits then, taking a deep breath as she does. "I mean, seems like a lot of work to simply get it into a ball in the first place... Can we burn it?" Paisley frowns at this for a moment, taking a deep breath.
"Atlee get over here and make up for not visiting us more! Jerk! Keep up." Pais spreads her arms, as if she's trying to tell Atlee something.

Atlee (1034) has posed:
Atlee smiles sheepishly, but seems a bit cheered by Traci's words nonetheless. "Well, it seemed like I might as well...and it really WAS terrible...there's so much trash buried. It seemed wrong to just ignore it." She considers the pile. "Um, a ball? Well...that works better than my idea, I was going to try and fly it over to a trash place like that. But I'm nto sure if they'd allow that or not..." she admits.

Speaking of the trash pile, as Paisley and then Traci get closer, they'd notice there's a much smaller basin of stone next to the big one. She's actually been separating it a bit, apparently. Or at least that likely explains the pile of money of various denominations, coins, and the occasional watch or piece of jewelry. It's actually a tidy little pile currently...it's a BIG beach. Granted, the money is not in the best shape after being buried in sand, save for the coins, but bills is bills.

Traci 13 has posed:
"Burning garbage isn't always the best. Not with all the chemicals and things people make things with," Traci suggests to Paisley, conversationally. She considers, "I mean, I could teleport it all, but I can't absoultely guarentee it'd fall in a waste pile. It might wind up on someone's front porch that's closeby, or in their backyard instead. -Exact- teleportation is kind of tricky, unless you have a designated focal point for it, back and forth."
She wrinkles her nose as she walks closer to the pile, still thinking. "You know, I guess I tend to think a lot better when someone's life is on the line, or something." A rueful sort of grin, sheepish.

Paisley (267) has posed:
"We could always pay some people to help us clean up with the loot that Atlee dug out? Or, I mean, you know. More money for us. I could use a new shirt," Paisley suggests, blinking at the pile that Atlee has made. She offers both women a wolfish grin afterward.
"Balls are hard, teleporation doesn't work well, burning could kill everyone... Well, damn. Don't make it easy or anything." Paisley gives a softl augh and then takes a deep breath. "Well. Where do we even put it all?"

Atlee (1034) has posed:
Atlee oohs. "Yes, let's not drop it on someone's porch, please." she agrees with Traci, joining the two girls as she considers the pile. "Oh! yes, that...um...I already returned all the wallets and stuff that had names on it to the port authority, but I didn't know what to do with that, and, um, the woman said I was welcome to have the rest...so I thought I'd save it for a pizza party or something." It would be a hell of a pizza party, from the look of it.

The violet-eyed girl scratches her cheek slightly. "There's a...what is the world..the filling land that's not too far from here, I was thinking, if they'd be okay with it going there. Otherwise..." She frowns. "...well, if I separate it I could probably feed a good chunk of it to a Windywyrm...they love plastic. Hydrocarbons in generally, really."

Traci 13 has posed:
Traci seems to love that last idea. "You think you can find that one we put back underground? You'd have to bury this, and kind of, you know, lead it to the pile. But, that'd really be better than dumping it in a landfill," the sorceress seems to agree. "I just don't think it'd be all too exicted, from the last one we had to wrangle, at coming up to have this particular snack. No matter how big it was."
She looks over towards Paisley, "Nasty looking thing. Apparently, it's farts purify the air down there, for all the creatures and Atlee's people." She looks somewhat amused.

Paisley (267) has posed:
"Okay. Air purifying fats," Paisley replies, arching a brow. SHe shakes her head slowly and then takes a deep breaht. "And it eats plastic. We should get them to attack all the landfills. Save he earth or soem shit." Paisley is frowning but then she slowly nods. "Okay. So would plastic draw it out or do we needs omethign bigger? We can pull this off, just need a plan..."

Atlee (1034) has posed:
Atlee pouts a bit. "They're an important part of the subterranean ecosystem!' she insists, then looks thoughful. "...that would work!' she says slowly. "If I just had it as a ball or something and sunk it down low enough, I know where that one is still, sure! I mean, roughly. Oh!' She shakes her head. "Oh no, we wouldn't want to bring it up to the surface! They get terribly agoraphobic, and then they get a little crazy and, um, rampage-y. The sky sort of makes them freak out a lot."

She hmms, hands on her hips as she surveys the pile. "But we could get it a lot close to it too. There's some limestone caves along the shore not far from here, i could probably connect it to those tunnels if we kinda...rolled it in? Or something?" She looks at the other two girls. "Maybe if I, like, scooped it up? I think I could do that as long as I didn't have to fly it all too far..."

Traci 13 has posed:
"So, plan. I'm going to bind it all together. Atlee, you get it down into the ground, into the limestone. And Paisley, you create a nice illusion of the smell of gasoline, and spread it out in the tunnel as far as you can."
She looks over at Atlee, "Think that'll work well enough for a lure, and then, we pretty much get out of the way, after that?"

Paisley (267) has posed:
"Okay. I can make it smell like gasoline. Taste like gasoline, if it'll help. Can't do much for moving stuff though..." Paisley cosnidders this a moment. "Seriously, air purifying farts? Someone do a gene splace so we can get rid of the sulfur. Jeeze." She shakes her head now. "Anyway."

Traci 13 has posed:
"From what Atlee said," Traci continues to Paisley, "The entire ecosystem down there relies on them to keep fresh air cycling in, where such things can stagnate the air and ruin the enviornment. I guess they're pretty rare, too. We wrangled one when it somehow got too close to the surface and was going pretty hog-wild. Some - duplicating cowboy guy rode Leroy and lassoed it. It was - bizzare." Traci's grin is somewhat rueful, and she crosses her arms, shrugs her shoulders just a little bit. "Crazy stuff happens. It's Metropolis."

Paisley (267) has posed:
"Yeah, this place is a twelve out of ten on the weirdo scale," Paisley agrees, shaking her head as she does. "But at least it means we have a way to deal with this. That's pretty huge. It'd be worth dumpiing more plastic down if we can find enough of them to eat it all." Paisley shakes her head slowly and then lifts her wieght onto the blals of her feet before dropping back down. "Things just hasve a way of working out, I guess."

Traci 13 has posed:
"Part of that is because it's a place of power. At least, for me. And if it is for me, it is for other people, in other ways. It's where Superman calls home, so that's going to attract some weirdos, sure. And then all that weirdness, is kind of like a magnifier for more weirdness." Traci chuckles, just a little bit. "It's like a weird cyclical system, I guess."

Paisley (267) has posed:
"Superman doesn't like live on a spaceship or something and just fly down here when he's bored?" Paisley asks, tilting her head slightly as she does. "Would be cool to meet him," the girl muses then. "Um. But yeah. Metropolis is almost as weird as Gotham."

Traci 13 has posed:
"Never been to Gotham, I mean, not really. Was there a couple times to go book shopping, still haven't met Zatanna, though. I really want to. Maybe we can book a show or something, and try and sneak backstage, sometime," she suddenly ideas, grinning wide. "That'd be pretty cool. Heard her shows are killer. Be kind of fun to see which ones were -real- magic, and which ones weren't."

Paisley (267) has posed:
"I can tell just by watching if we ever get into one," Paisley offers helpfully. "The whole seeing magic thing is starting to get pretty intense actually." She shrugs at this, shifting her weight from left to right. A deep breath is taken and then held. "Okay, let's go to a show," the girl agrees then. "And even more books after that."

Atlee (1034) has posed:
Atlee returns from checking the ground nearby, popping up again like a little gopher from the ground as she rises up again, dusting off her hands. "Okay! Tunnel ready!" she says cheerfully, hands on her hips. "Did you figure out how to get it to hold together? I think the air currents here should let the Windywyrm smell it pretty easily."

Traci 13 has posed:
"I think I can whip a little something up," agrees Traci. She begins to weave with her fingers, as if casting 'strings' out, in an archiac, arcane pattern, whispering quiet words of some even more arcane language than latin, or English ever could be. And, as if some small gravity well had been cast within the center of the garbage pit, or there was some measure of attaching strings, magnets, or glue, the garabage ball begins to slowly form. Bit by mit.
"It's not going to be entirely stable," she tells her friends, "But, this will do the short job. It's a binding spell, used to hold or confine. I sort of - expanded it a little," she says, "So not sure how long this will hold."

Paisley (267) has posed:
"A few minutes," Paisley offers, studying the ball of trash thoughtfully with her violently blue gaze. "long enough if we get moving. Okay..." The girl nods once, turning toward Atlee and taking a deep breath. "That's handy," she adds blandly to the larger girl. "Okay. Le'ts do this." The smell of gasoline is already starting to suffuse the air.

Atlee (1034) has posed:
Atlee clasps her hands behind her back, watching with great interest. She usually doesn't get to watch Traci at work without having to be dodging things trying to zap her or bite her or on one embarrassing occasion, when she was being carried off by the critter she was trying to convince to go back underground. "IT should be fine, it won't take long to get it to where it needs to go?" she suggests.

Traci 13 has posed:
"Alright," Traci says quietly, "Atlee, get it rolling? Wedge it, if you can? And, gravity should take care of the rest, with your tunnel. Look at us. We're problem solvers." The sorceress seems pretty pleased with herself, and she grins to both of her friends. "You're both awesome."

Paisley (267) has posed:
"You do know I havent' actually done anything. Right?" Paisley returns the grin, however, and then shrugs her shoulders."Less work, more results. Paisley's motto. I'll let you two take it from here." She nods briefly at Atlee and then takes a deep, slow breath.

Atlee (1034) has posed:
Atlee grins. "Oh, that's great! Yes, hold on." She focuses, hands on her sides, her brow furrowing slightly, before the ground shakes, before it smoothly starts to sink, sand sheeting down as it forms a ramp. A bit like a pinball machine, almost. Especially when a stoney little hammerhead pops up behind the ball, pulling back carefully then snapping forward to send the ball rolling forward, before it rumbles out of sight, building speed.

"Would...would you like to see?" she says, asking the girls. "I mean, the Windiwyrm? I can take you there, if you'd like..." She smiles softly as the stone hammer starts to pull back into the ground. She leaves the ramp for the moment.

Traci 13 has posed:
"As long as this one doesn't try to belch at me, or eat me," Traci agrees to Atlee, rather finding Atlee's enthusiasm to be unresistable. She touches Paisley's arm, affectionately. "You helped us brainstorm. But yes. We need to get you like, Fae Super Strength, or something," she agrees. "Maybe a Unicorn. Or a Pegasus. We can keep it in the lot out back."
She looks to Paisley, "Come on. It'll be cool." She, apparently, trusts Atlee implicitly when it comes to Atlee's home turf at the very least.

Paisley (267) has posed:
"I wouldn't mind seeing it," Paisley agrees quietly. She nods once and squeezes Traic's hand, allowing herself to be led toward Atlee. "Okay. Super strength. Right. I mean. I'm super fast already," she offers with a slow shrug. "Is that close?" She shifts her weight from left to right. "I dunno. If i have too many powers the really scary shit will take me seriously."

Atlee (1034) has posed:
Atlee listens to the conversation curiously, though it's fairly obviously she's not quite tracking what it's about. She reaches out a hand, the rock reforms, turning into something that looks suspiciously like a luge type sled. If a crude one. "This will be fastest!" she says cheerfully, then tilts her head, before reaching out to take Paisley's hand, saying earnestly. "I take you seriously! And I don't think I'm scary..."

Traci 13 has posed:
"You kidding? Anyone who can throw a ten ton boulder in my face if I make them upset can be -very- scary," Traci says, good naturedly. Then, she loks at the makeshift luge sled, "This is either going to be terribly fun, or aboslutely horrifying." Regardless, she climbs in.
"We're all scary, in different ways. If people get us upset. I suppose that's a good thing."

Paisley (267) has posed:
"I'm scary unless you like eating eggs with sugar instead of salt," Paisley replies blandly. "Letting me cook was a bad idea." she shrugs at this and allows her friends to lead her along. "Scary, but not when it comesto giant boulders and stuff. My knife works at least."

Atlee (1034) has posed:
"Is that bad?" Atlee says uncertainly. "IT doesn't sound too bad..." No one said her taste buds were acclimated to surface cuisine, after all. She waits until the other two girls are inside, then slides in behind Paisley, sandwiching the smaller girl carefully. "Okay! This will get us there super quick!" she says cheerfully, before the sled starts to move with a soft scraping motion, teetering on the edge....then going over as it starts to pick up speed. IT's like being at the top of a rollercoaster, but without the time to anticipate the drop. Of more worry is, really...you can't see anything unless you're making your own light, as you're swallowed up by the blackness.

Traci 13 has posed:
Traci is not making her own light. What she is doing though, is that mixture of terrified screaming, along with exhilerated screaming, and more terrified screaming in the exhilerated screaming sort of way. She's also probably clutching tightly to whichever of the two girls is sitting in front of her, but one thing is certain - she -does- trust Atlee, and even though they're flying blind, she knows Atlee wouldn't put them in danger.

Paisley (267) has posed:
After a few seconds of crashing through the darkness Paisley is screaming as well. It continues like this for some time with Paisley clinging to whomever is in front of -her- until finally a bluish glow explodes into being around them. Faerie fire, burning heatlessly against the inside of the sled. More likely, an illusion to serve the same purpose. Maybe the Faerie Fire always is. The screaming isnt' qutie as severe then, but still filled with raucous glee.

Atlee (1034) has posed:
The sudden flash of blue lights the tunnel...it's actually fairly spacious...had to be, to accomodate the rolling ball of trash, after all. The path turns sharply to the right, the sled skidding up so you're actually on the wall as Atlee finds herself being grabbed by both the other girls, grinning in glee as she hugs them back. "Wait, wait, hold on, this'll be fun!" she says cheerfully.

And you hear the sound of water up ahead, as you break into a more open cave, filled with stalagmite and stalagtites that have fused into limestone pillars. More importantly, you can see that there's a fairly good sized channel of water flowing through the enter.

Also that there's a ramp going up one side and down the other, though the bridge appears to be missing int he middle. Thena gain at the speed you're going. "Hang on!"

Traci 13 has posed:
Light helps Traci, too, and her screams go less terrified, for the most part, and more wild abandon. It's very much like a pre-dated, meta-powered rollercoaster, or log-ride. Just without the water. "I -am- hanging on," she protests to Atlee, at the top of her lungs against the holler of Paisley, the scraping of rock-on-rock, and the echoes that surround them. And, yes. Traci is hanging on, pretty hard, to Atlee. Paisley onto her.

Atlee (1034) has posed:
Atlee giggles then lets out a happy yell as the rails hit the ramp and send the sled airborne, her muscular arms holding the other girls close as they can feel themselves at that point of weightlessness for a moment before they slam down lightly into the sled again..which hits with a lot less force that you might expect, Atlee cushioning the impact with her powers as you start a long spirally descend down the path into the depths.

Traci 13 has posed:
"How deep are we going?" ... and will they ever get back? She'd thought maybe a couple hundred feet, at the most. But now Traci is wondering if it's not in the thousands of feet. Maybe a mile? Maybe more they've already traversed. It seems that way - and the momentarily weightless, the 'air' time has her screaming all over again, as she clutches Terra again.

Atlee (1034) has posed:
This is really the point where Atlee should start quoting the Willy Wonka tunnel rant! But sadly, she doesn't know it, so she lets lets out a gentle 'oof' as Traci comes down harder halfway across. "Almost there!" she promises as the sled spinspinspins downwards, around and around, before it reaches the bottom....and suddenly, you're gliding on actual ice as the floor is covered with it.

This sends the sled slowly spinning as it enters the next large room and this one is somethign to see. The light from the sled adds to the soft radiance coming from fractured and fractal pillars of crystalline ice, carved into gloriously complex murals and statues lining the walls. The floor is ice, but like a mirror, reflecting the vaulted ceiling to make it appear that you're on a thin bridge riding over a drop that falls down into distant darkness. At the other end, the wall has partially collapsed, destroying the carvings there and one of the pillars, with a slow trickle becoming icicles as it runs down the wall. The mass of trash has impacted the far wall as well, collapsing into a pile that smells of gas and oil, that the sled slides juuuuust up to before it finally halts, with Atlee letting out a giggle. "I love that one!"

Traci 13 has posed:
"Alright. Well. This is pretty gorgeous," she admits, especially when lit through Paisley's blue fae light, reflective of the murals, the ice, and everything else. She's a bit overwhelmed, at first. Unmindful of the sickening smells of gasoline, created also by the pretty Fae with them. "Wow." She slowly climbs out, forgetting, presently, why they even came down. She strolls up to one of the murals, "You've been here before?" She asks of Atlee.

Atlee (1034) has posed:
Atlee slides out after Traci, then pauses to help the slightly dizzy Paisley up, who is suprisingly quiet. That's how dizzy she is! She helps her over to lean against one of the pillars as she recovers from the spinnies. "Oh, yes...not in a while, since the ice trolls moved on. This area became unstable years ago. This is sort of the only stable room left, and their enchantments are still running strong." she says with a smile. "They were nice people. A bit stuffy, but nice." At least to Atlee, anyway

She pads over to Traci as she looks over the mural. It seems to be some epic tale of what you assume are the ice trolls..they're drawn very fractal and angular, but they have the nice ice weapons and armor...and what look like some sort of...large..mouth things with legs and...lots and lots of teeth? Hmm, they really go in for the loving decapitation and limb removal, apparently. There are runes that glow with a soft blue light, faint enough you might miss it if you didn't have a talent for the magical, that appears to be maintaining the cold spells on the room...which is actually fairly warm, as the spells are pushing teh heat out of the ice and into the room itself.

Traci 13 has posed:
"Curious that such a war-like people would have such a delicate hand at art," Traci says, quietly. "I think I will be glad to never meet them," she suggests, with a measure of certainty. She half smiles, touching Atlee's arm and then guiding Atlee and Paisley towards the great ball of junk. "So. We just wait, for your friend, here, Atlee?"

Atlee (1034) has posed:
Atlee hmmms. "Sure! Well, maybe not RIGHT next to the, um, food, but we can probably sit over there by the wall and be away from it. It'll come through that big hole in the back wall probably when it does. Should be a -lot- calmer than last time though." she assures both girls. "I can make the sled into some chairs if you want? Well, not -soft- chairs...." she admits. "But something to sit on?"

Traci 13 has posed:
"Sure," says Traci with a faint grin, and after said chairs are made, and they have some good seats - a little away from where the 'show' will be? Traci relaxes some. "Good. Because it was crazy, before. Though I guess I can understand. It'd be like putting me underground, with no way out. And, no experience being underground. I'd got batty too," she admits.

Atlee (1034) has posed:
Atlee looks as if that hadn't occured to her. "...oh...yes! Yes, it woudl be a bit, especially if you didn't like tight spaces or darkness?" she offers, looking over at Traci with a smile. "I mean, um, not like that's actually what a lot of the underground is. A lot is actually pretty wide open and well lit, just not as bright as you might be used to. Your eyes get used to it though."

Traci 13 has posed:
"I suppose," Traci can understand where Atlee is coming from, as well. "So, how many creatures, I mean, things that the surface world, my world, doesn't know about, are there down here? How many races? It's kind of crazy. We just met some tree people, last week. Me, and Stargirl, and some other people. They were - sick, but I still don't know what that was about. They gave me seeds. It's hard to imagine there's so much left unknown in our world, even in these days."

Atlee (1034) has posed:
Atlee giggles a bit at that, peering over at the other girl. "How many magical races that you know about that exist up there or in other dimensional places are there?" she questions back. "That's a big question to answer, there's so many...there are entire worlds down here no one up there knows about, most good, some bad, some just...different." she says thoughfully, leaning back on her hands.

"And I still find entirely new things down here. I try to remember the nicest places, like this...or this crystal cave I found once..." She smiles, peering over. "I don't get to show them off very often to people."

Traci 13 has posed:
"Well, you can show them off to me and Paisley anytime you like," Traci assures Atlee, warmly. "We'll keep them our secrets. Absolutely so." She squeezes Atlee's hand, "Just, next time, ... warn us how far we're dropping?" She laughs just a little bit." She grins, then, sharply. "It's really cool. Thank you for showing it to us. I imagine we're probably the first surface people to see it. Ever."

Atlee (1034) has posed:
Atlee looks a little bit mischievious as she squeezes Traci's hand. "But that wouldn't have been as fun if I told you!" she says cheerfully. She smiles. "Sure, I'm glad you like it! And yes...pretty sure you're the first surface people to ever be in this hall." she agrees. "Maybe you two can figure out some of the magic stuff here? I don't know how it works, but I know the ice trolls were really good with preservation magics like this, keeping ice solid and never melting."

There's the sound of something approaching from the hole, a sort of snuffling noise that sounds familiar to Traci, before a long lobster like claw comes through the hole, poking around, then starting to spin up as it pushes with almost delicate force into the iced over rock, starting to widen the opening a bit.

Traci 13 has posed:
Atlee's and Paisley's arems, eached, are nudged, in turn, "There he is. What's his name, Atlee?" Because, by now, with the way Atlee has talked about her subterreanan people, lands, and creatures like the Empathosaur, she's -certain- this particular Windywrym has a name. It's probably not her fault, either, she has a burning desire to call it 'Bob'.

Atlee (1034) has posed:
Atlee grins a bit. "His name? Well, um..." She looks sheepish. "I've been thinking of him as Mr. Crabs. Because he's like a crab and because he was crabby before, but he's a gentleman down here so he's definitely a mister." she says thoughfully. "Maybe...Mr. Bob Crabs?" she says uncertainly. "He needs a first name like that, right?" Apparently her thoughts ran close to Traci's.

The whole is widened, before the larger creature shoulders its serpent like body through, it's four crab-like pincer arms spreading out a bit as it rears up, sniffing around. Its tiny eye peer over at the group, but it seems pretty cool with them being there. Or at least, its focuses on the feast laid out as its short legs carrying it forward, before it leans in to start munching, taking a big bite of plastic as its saw-like teeth shred it up so it can swallow it.

Traci 13 has posed:
"Hello, Mr. Bob Crabs," laughs at the name, impressed that Atlee, apparently, has some measure of telepathy, however subtle. She speaks quietly, though, so as not to startle it. "Thank you for not trying to run me over and eat me, today."
She isn't too scared of him. That might be because she can also make Leroy 20 feet tall and she's rather used to that form he takes. So she has an easier time of understanding that large, scary, oversized cryptoids might not be threatening. Not that she's thinks they're cute. Just his name is cute.
"I have to agree with Paisley, though. Do you think there's a way we could, you know, get rid of our garbage up there to feed these guys? Maybe with more food they'd be more plentiful, and that'd help?"

Atlee (1034) has posed:
Atlee hmmms. "Well, yes, it would be helpful..." she admits. "But there aren't many of them around. I mean, they tend to like things like oil deposits and coal and things like that, and there's not a lot of that around most major cities. I guess maybe if they had lots of plastic and such to eat?" she says thoughfully. "I don't know. They're also pretty rare unfortunately..." she admits. "That's why I was so worried that someone was going to kill it before I could explain before."

Traci 13 has posed:
"I'm glad I was there to help you. And, that we were already friends, so I trusted you. Completely." Traci smiles, warmly, and takes Paisley's hand in one of hers, Atlee's in the other. "Though, it was kind of crazy trying to corral it, and get it back in the ground."
She watches the snuffling creature, as it devours, quite greedily, and almost - cutely? If it can be called such. "So, trying to get them to the cities is probably kind of impossible. Except for this one. Too bad. That'd -really- help with a lot of the pollution." She looks vaugely disappointed it won't be that easy, but hardly surprised.

Atlee (1034) has posed:
The odd reaction starts after the massive creature has been munching for a while, a sort of flickering green light that runs its throat as it turns its head slighty, then makes a belching noise, before there's a much louder and longer *PPPHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRT* from behind it as a rush of sweet smelling fresh air starts to fill the room.

Traci 13 has posed:
"You silly, silly Windywyrm," calls Traci, and she can't help but giggle a little bit, as the farty noise comes out the huge, almost fearsome critters backside. "God bless you." She looks thoughtful, "So, Atlee, we helped stop a big huge ... whatever that was that was taller than most buildings in Metropolis, from stepping on everyone, saved most of it's babies and protected the people from the others, aaaaaand completely cleaned the beach from top to bottom aaaaaaand recycled all the garbage completely, much thanks to Paisley's ideas here. Sooooo - I think we're probably the coolest heroes in the city, right now."

Atlee (1034) has posed:
Violet eyes turn towards the girl next to her. "...do...do you really think so?" she says softly, smiling a bit, then looks down at her hands, rubbing them together slightly. "...that lady with the purple ring, she told me that I shouldn't feel bad that I couldnt' stop everything. That not everyone could have, even someone like her or Supergirl..." She sighs a bit, then bobs her head back and forth a little. "Buuuuut....yes. I think it is as good as we coudl do, and it is good." she decides. "I still feel like I need to get better though."

She peers over at Traci curiously. "...do you have to practice for your abilities? I mean...do you have a teacher, or is it just something that comes naturally? I don't think I've ever asked."

Traci 13 has posed:
"Not even magic can protect everyone," agrees Traci, to Atlee, soberly. "So, you protect who, and what you can. And just know you've done your best." This has been her mantra for quite some time, and one she's embraced. "That doesn't mean wanting to do more is bad. You should strive to always improve. But, don't kill yourself if you make a mistake, or, if you know you've done everything but you still couldn't -do- everything."
Then, the other question comes. Traci answers, honestly, "For a long while? I was mostly self-taught. From my mother's books, notes. What I could salvage. A few other books I found here or there. But now? I'm learning under Doctor Strange. He's - wickedly awesome." She shakes her head, "Scary awesome."

Atlee (1034) has posed:
"...he is a...doctor who is Strange?" Atlee questions uncertainly. "Is that really his name? And...wickedly awesome is a good thing?" she says slowly. Surface phrase are WEIRD sometimes! "It's good that you have a teacher then though." she says with a smile. "I only have what I've learned, what I've studied. There's no one I know of who can do what I do." she admits.

Traci 13 has posed:
"He's -- one of the, if not arguably, the, most powerful person on the planet, Atlee," Traci tells the girl, soberly. "And, he's on our side. And, he's teaching me, off and on. He has other responsibilities of course. He's the Sorcerer Supreme. And yes. It's good I have a teacher. He's showing me a few things already that have been pretty insightful. Theory, and application, more than spell-slinging."

Atlee (1034) has posed:
Atlee ahs! "Well that's good! You have a very important very experienced teacher then." She smiles at the thought. "Is he a good teacher too, then? I know people who know a lot sometimes are the best at passing it on." She idly starts to wiggle off her boots, sliding one off, then the other, then pulls her bare legs up against her body as she hugs her knees. "So are you going to be a...a Sorceress Supreme, then? she says uncertainly."

The Windiwyrm continues to devour the pile of plastic trash, munching loudly, and occcasinally letting off another belch or puff of sweet smelling air into the room, as it grumbles to itself a bit. Or at least the sounds sound a bit like someone grumbling, anyway. It seems to be more a contented sound though.

Traci 13 has posed:
"There's a trial, in two years time," Traci answers, quietly. "There's only one every ... I don't know. But not very often at all. They're yeeeeeeears apart. I won't win." Yet, she doesn't seem disappointed by that fact. "But. I'll get a -ton- of experience. And I'll learn a lot. And, people will get to notice me. But maybe," she agrees, "Someday. Maybe someday I will be the Sorceress Supreme. That - would be pretty awesome," she admits. "And there would be a -ton- of responsiblitiy that came with it."

Atlee (1034) has posed:
Atlee leans forward at that, peering at you. "A trial, like...a competition?" she says curiously. "Or is it a personal test of strength of character and knowledge?" She smiles a bit. "My people tend to prefer the latter...or cooperative contests, that let people show that they can do more than just depend on their own power, but value and work with others who have their own skills and talents."

Traci 13 has posed:
"I don't know. Probably, all of it. I mean, if you're the Sorcerer Supreme you're going to have to demonstrate ability, understanding, cunning, everything. But, it's kind of a secret as to what all happens. For as much as I know, there might be duels," Traci admits, casually. She half-smiles, shrugs. "But, it's a few years off. So, time to train, right? And, flex my magical muscles so they get bigger."

Atlee (1034) has posed:
"Well....I bet you'll do great! And even if you don't win, well...you're a really neat person Traci. And I'm happy to know you.." She smiles a bit, then leans against the other girl companionably as they watch the circle of life (or at least, atmosphere) as the creature continues to munch away, leaning back. She can take them back up when they're ready...but it's nice to have someone else to share this with, in the meantime.
