Cast of Characters: Jubilee, Vincent Black

Jubilee has posed:
The doughnut shop is open late on Friday nights. Football games and general high school hangoutery. But the place is pretty much empty now, and they are just gearing up for morning. A young Asian in a pink tanktop, black cargo pants, and black boots is standing in front of the doughnut case, ogling. She's got her hands splayed on the glass, and her cloudy blue eyes are wide.

Vincent Black has posed:
The door jingles open once more and in steps a man wearing long blue jeans with a plad shirt tucked into his pants and with a dark grey zip up hoodie on with a crest over the left breast with a logo for the Westchester Police Department. He leans out the door for a moment to put the cigarette he was smoking into the smoking post left out the door for such just purpose.

"Heya Amy." Says the man in a soft voice with a stoic kind of nod towards the woman behind the counter when he pauses his step and smiles oh so faintly. It was bound to happen, but he didn't think it would take so long... "Jubilee..." He finally ran into someone he recognized from ... He didn't even realize he said her name.

Jubilee has posed:
Jubilation jumped to hear her name. She spun around to see who was there, only to find a man...a police officer...standing there behind her. "I didn't do it. You didn't see me, and you can't prove it!"

Vincent Black has posed:
"Oh- You're not..." Vincent whispers to himself, lifting his hand to his face and tapping at his top lip before he squints and looks at Jubilee closer. "You are... Just. Different." Vincent reaffirms to himself and smiles, lowering his hand back into his pants pocket.

"No, I'm not after anything you did. Or didn't do." Vincent takes a step closer towards Jubilee and leans to look her more into the eyes. "You're awfully jumpy for ... how old are you?"

Jubilee has posed:
"Twenty-five. Sir." Jubilation is backing away, trying to put some space between them. Instinct says to run. Nobody gets close. But she is too curious to run. "Wh-who are you?"

Vincent Black has posed:
"Twenty-five." Vincent repeats. The detective sense her trepidation and leans back himself and motions towards the glass case with his chin. "Pick out two things." He turns his attention towards the woman behind the counter. "They're on me." Vincent nods kindlys and looks back to Jubilee.

Vince reaches into his back pocket and pulls out his wallet and from with in he pulls out a single piece of white paper, his business card. "I'm Detective Black." The man says with a smirk on his thin lips.

Jubilee has posed:
Jubilation shakes her head quickly and holds up a hand to the woman behind the counter. "No. No thank you, I can't eat--that stuff. I don't eat doughnuts. But you're very kind." She takes the card from him and looks at it. Then she looks up at the soft-spoken man. "You look..." She blinks once. "Have you ever had deja-vu?"

Vincent Black has posed:
Vincent's eyes squint at the back of Jubilee's head and then open back to a friendly face when she turns back to him. "I... have lost count." Vincent says with a soft smile, a hand lifting to rake his fingers through his hair and set it down over his right ear before he asks something, "You sure you don't want anything? I'm just wondering why you're in a donut shop if you can't eat them?"

Jubilee has posed:
"They smell so good...and I used to eat them. I loved them."

Amy chirps up from the back. "Kid comes in here every night, just to ogle them. We hafta clean her fingerprints off the glass every morning."

Vincent Black has posed:
"What are you diabetic?" Vincent asks, moving over to the side to lift up his finger towards Amy, indicating he wants the usual, and turns to the slide door refrigerator and pulls out a carton of chocolate milk to savor as well and then nods to Amy, secretively enough to get two of the ones Jubilee oggles the most. "You're getting two from me and you're going to do whatever you want with them."

Jubilee has posed:
You'll be givin' one of Xavier's kids breakfast, then...And I'm sure they will love it. I'm not diabetic. My system just can't take them anymore...too rich, maybe." Jubilee smiles sheepishly.

Vincent Black has posed:
"Thanks Amy." Vincent says and pays for the kolachees and two sprinkled donuts in a separate bag. He tosses the bag towards Jubilee and picks up his bag and milk before moving over towards one of the few small tables in the place and takes a seat. "That fancy mansion over off Greymalkin? Hmm, maybe I'll just take them back." He teases softly, sitting down.

Jubilee has posed:
Jubilee sets the bag down on the table and pushes it across to him. "You should eat 'em. You paid for them. But it was a really nice gesture," Jubilee says softly. "You look so familiar. Like somehow I have been here. With you. Before. But that's crazy. I would remember."

Vincent Black has posed:
"We haven't met." Vincent says, smiling softly at the younger woman and his face softens as he looks at her, "But maybe I just have that kind of face." The way WAY older man says to the fellow mutant. "Take it, I bought them for you."

Jubilee has posed:
"Thank you, Detective Black." Jubilation looks back toward the door, swallowing hard, and averting her eyes. Like she might cry. "You come in here often, then?"

Vincent Black has posed:
"Your welcome. Yes I do come in about once a week." Vincent says as he opens his carton of milk and takes a slow sip of it. "I do hope you'll stop smuding poor Amy's glass here. At least by some donut holes once in a while." He teases softly.
