Synopsis: Someone wants revenge on Kenan, fortunately Supergirl is there to lend a hand.
Cast of Characters: Super-Man, Supergirl

Super-Man has posed:
Kenan tends to spend most of his time while in the US at the Chinese Embassy or in Chinatown. While he was taught English by a telepath, he is still most comfortable with things that remind him of home. Chinatown has Chinese people, Chinese architecture, and signs written in Chinese...even if surprisingly few of the Chinese people speak Mandarin here. So he is back in Chinatown...in this case he is looking for a certain cab. The foirst time he was here, he kind of helped wreck it while having a discussion with someon he now knows is Bizarro. He did try to repair it, but he wanted to check on things if he can find it. Remembering WHICH cam it was is the hard part

Supergirl has posed:
There is one reason that Kara is there today: Food. Starling is a wonderful city and they have some amazing places that serve cuisine of various types. But to get authentic Chinese food, no place beats Chinatown in NYC. Well, no place other than China itself but she didn't want to fly that far today. She landed quietly and quickly put on her regular clothes over her costume. She didn't bother with the wig but her glasses are in place so she is technically disguised. It seems to work.

She has found a bench along the street and is sitting there enjoying her potstickers with a bottle of water. Nothing in the world better than potstickers. Pizza was equal but not better. She lifts a potsticker with her chopsticks and takes a careful bite.

Super-Man has posed:
Kenan settles on a rooftop and listens for a specific heartbeat, he is getting the hang of his Super Hearing...well probably. He does not hear the heartbeat he is listening for though, the person he is seeking must be out of range. Well, it is a cab, he does not have to stay in one neighborhood. He is about to leave when he sees something. OK, he gets the feeling walking giant ice sculptures are not common around here. He better look into it.

Supergirl has posed:
For the moment, Kara is oblivious. She simply is enjoying her food, focused down instead of up. Someday when she's been doing this hero thing for longer, she'll realize she should keep an eye on her surroundings. Instead, it's her food. She dips a potsticker then starts to raise it as her gaze goes up. She stops. With the potsticker hanging in the air by chopsticks, halfway to her mouth.

Is that ice? And is it walking?

She blinks slowly and lowers the potsticker back into the container, looking around to make sure she's not the only one seeing this thing.

Super-Man has posed:
Kenan lands a bit up the block...definately a statue made of ice, a sculpture of a man wearing some kind of armor and carrying a sword and shield. Roughly thirty feet tall. Kenan is pretty sure he could lift it or smash it...but could he smash it into pieces small enough not to hurt anything when they fall? He briefly wishes he knew how his heat vision works, but then realizes he has no idea if he could sublimate this much ice all at once even if he had it active. The Statue appears to see him ans turns his direction, raising it's icy sword...

Supergirl has posed:
It's an instant really. What happens would take much longer normally but seeing that sword go up, Kara taps into the super speed. She manages to get to an alley, shed her outerwear and glasses to reveal her costume so that her secrete identity is safe. Then she is a streak of red and blue that suddenly coalesces into the form of Supergirl, hovering in the air about ten feet in front of Kenan. She is high enough that the sword will hit her first instead of him. She opts not to use her heat vision to cut the blade because then she'd have to catch it before it landed on the man below. She just doesn't realize who he is and what he is capable of or she would try a different tactic. She brings her arms up above her head to try and stop the falling ice blade.

Super-Man has posed:
Kenan stays where his is, focusing on invulnerability. The sword will not hurt him, but if he dodges it WILL probably hurt whatever it does hit. Except that it does not hit, the sword is slowed to a halt by a red and blue flying figure Kenan recognizes as Supergirl. Well that should help. Kenan calls in English, "Catch the falling pieces, please." He jumps hard and strikes the center of the statue's chest. Clearly he is expecting it to shatter...which it does, but the pieces seem to almost instantly reform into a batallion of icy modern soldiers with icy rifles.

Supergirl has posed:
As the man jumps that high into the air and impacts with the icy monster, Supergirl blinks in surprise. So much for needing to protect the innocent civilian. He may be innnocent and he may be a civilian, but he can protect himself if he hits that hard. As the thing shatters, she starts to fly to one at speed only to have it reform into a soldier.

"That was uneexpected," she mutters more to herself than anything else. She almost punches it but her brain kicks in. If it reformed when knocked into smaller pieces the last time, would it do so again if she shattered this one?

She lands right in front of it and her eyes shift, going red and instantly her heat vision is aimed into the center of the icy rifleman.

Super-Man has posed:
Heat vision can sublimate any one of the icy figures to steam in a second or less, as Supergirl proves. Kenan shifts his energy to his feet and starts using his speed to gather up the ice soldiers as they hit the ground. They start shooting out of the place they are gathered, and Kenan desperately gathers ice bullets from the air, but is not fast enough to get them all...

Supergirl has posed:
Heat vision off for the moment, Supergirl saw him quickly gather the icy soldiers together. Her eyes went red--only to immediately shift back to blue as she rushes to help him with the bullets. The ones he mised, she gathers. As she catches the last one, she swivels her head back to the soldiers and lets loose with her heat vision again, intending to get rid of them before they can shoot again. If she doesn't get them all, she has the feeling they'll be catching more ice bullets.

Super-Man has posed:
Possibly it is being near an actual kryptonian and wirnessing how she does it, or possibly it is need, or perhaps it is just the current stage of growth of his powers, but as Supergirl employs her Heat Vision the second time, Kenan successfully focuses his power to his eyes and activates his own Heat Vision. The double dose of scarlet radiance evaporates the solfiers before any more shots go off.

Supergirl has posed:
To be safe, Supergirl then focuses her vision on the bullets she is still holding. Only when they go up in steam does she turn off the heat vision. A quick glance around confirms there are no more ice anything running around. Seeing nothing, she focuses on Kenan.

"Are you alright?" she asks automatically. Then she backpedals. "Well, I mean, of course you're alright. I didn't know you had powers. I mean, like mine. But you aren't Kyptonian." She knows the only ones of those still around. "Are you a mutant or enhanced...?" Then she realizes she's being rude and she lands on the ground in front of him, offering her hand. "Sorry. I didn't introduce myself. Hi, I'm Supergirl!"

Super-Man has posed:
Kenan says, "I have been studying Superman since I was given these powers, I know of you Supergirl. I am Chaoren." If Supergirl speaks Mandarin, she knows it means Super-man. She can see the familiar S-symbol, though in gold not red, and inside an Octagon. Chaoren says, "I am what americans would call a Metahuman, intentionally given powers similar to Superman by an experiment by the Chinese Ministry of Self Reliance. Do you think we should follow the tracks of the giant back to see where it came from?"

Supergirl has posed:
"Really?" Supergirl asks, surprise written all over her face as she stares at him. She looks to the symbol on his chest. She doesn't speak Mandarin so does not realize what his name means but the fact he was made to be like Superman is strange enough. Trying to copy Kyptonians isn't unknown. After all, Superboy and Power Girl were created in that way. But he isn't a clone. He's something else.

"Oh! Yes, we should definitely find out where it--they--whatever. We should follow the tracks." Considering it was giant and probably melting, it shouldn't be hard to do even with paved roadways.

Super-Man has posed:
Kara is right that it is not too hard to follow the giant backwards, though it becomes clear it apparently started where a water tank burst open from within, and from the way it burst it was caused by the water expanding when it suddenly turned to ice, what is not clear is why it turned to ice or what animated it. Kenan admits, "I am not the best at looking for clues. I bet <Bat-man> would take one look at this and know just who did it and how." Bat-man was stated in Mandarin, meaning his team mate Briaxi, though the original would probably be able to do the same.

Supergirl has posed:
Supergirl floats upward to the ruined water tower, examining it from every angle while in the air. She even floats into it, careful not to touch anything. "I can't really offer much help there. I usually just hit things," she admits with a bit of chagrin. She floats back out of the destroyed metal. Her eyes narrow ever so slightly as she uses her x-ray vision to see if she picks up anything that might help them. "Whatever happened, they were able to freeze the water and animate it. That isn't the usual kind of bad guy I deal with. Although," she turns her head to Keanan. "It seemed to be after you specifically. It walked right past everyone else."

Super-Man has posed:
Kenan frowns thoughtfully, "It did target me once I showed myself, and was making itself obvious so as to draw attention. I have been seen in these parts often enough that someome might expect to find me here. Perhaps it was aimed at me. I was giving testimoby to the Grand Jury about a Kidnapping I stopped recently, the group employed a metahuman who projected bolts of heat and force, perhaps they have other metahumans as well."

Supergirl has posed:
"Could be," Supergirl agrees, coming to a landing near him. "Fire and ice apparently. I've heard of the heroes but there are a lot of supervillains with those sorts of powers too." She hasn't met any personally but the internet is a wonderful place where she can pick up information. In addition to what her STAR labs parents provided her with. "Do you know who was behind the assassination attempt at all? Is the trial for the big baddie or just henchmen?"

Super-Man has posed:
Kenan says, "The Grand Jury is not the actual trial, and they expect to try all of those we captured. I have not been informed if they know who is behind it, though I might have suspicians...the China White Triad would be high on my list." He has fought them before, and they do employ metahumans.

Supergirl has posed:
Supergirl shakes her head a bit. "No idea who that is but everytime there is a triad in a movie, it's a bad thing." Her reasoing may be flawed but it is inherently a true statement. The White Triad is a very bad group to make an enemy out of. "I don't see anything that would help us find out who did it though." She glances around, as though hoping the bad guy will be hiding in a tree nearby for her to see that easily.

Super-Man has posed:
Neither Supergirl nor Kenan sees anything as obvious as a uniform or costume on any of the people gawking at the heroes and the destroyed water tower from below. Their X-ray vision can not detect guilt...
