Cast of Characters: Lara Croft, Green Ranger

Lara Croft has posed:
Lara Croft had recently returned from South America and with her she'd brought 'magical masks' that she and her partner had recovered from a band of violent mercenaries... The masks were boxed up and stored in the bowels of the museum now, but they're to be transfered to a SHIELD safehouse after they are physically copied with fakes put on display here at the museum, to showcase the fakes to the public.

As of now, Lara is moving through the museum's dinosaur exhibit... she's visiting the sabretooth tiger exhibit in specific... or at least intending to... in her hand, Lara held a sabretooth tiger tooth that she'd recovered on her trip. She'd had a personal run-in with a live sabretooth cat, it had clawed both her hand and her back, but she was still walking. The tooth was from a long dead brother to the living one, she'd found its bones in a cave.

Green Ranger has posed:
Tommy has had better days. He was pretty sure that Rita Repulsa, or one of her hench people, had put some kind of a magic spell on him, or alien virus, or something. Why else would he feel so sick on his visit to the American Museum of Natural History. He still wasn't thinking three dimensionally, forgetting that he could use his morphing coin to teleport there, but he took advantage of the recently open Zetaport, travelling to New York on the Queen-Rand gift to Starling and New York. But alas, he was doing his best to hide the sweat he was feeling. He has Kleenex in his hands, and every time he blew his nose, it echoed throughout the museum's chambers. And yet, it was he who spotted something out of the ordinary. "Excuse me," he said in as loud and authorative a voice as he could muster. He coughed immediately thereafter. "But I don't think you're supposed to..." another cough, "take those."

Lara Croft has posed:
Lara was approaching the glass wall that swept over the front of the museum exhibit and she was reaching for her pocket when the sniffly voice was hweard and she looked back to the teenager who said that to her, which made her smile.

Lara's face was busted up, she had a cut over her right eyebrow and a severe cut down the right side of her bottom lip. But she still seemed to be in good spirits because she laughed lightly at what he just said to her.

"I'm not stealing it." The british woman replied. "I'm donating it."

And with that, she pulled a keycard out and slide it through the door beside the exhibit to open it up.

"A brand new piece." She held the tooth up for Tommy to see, it was enormous and didn't look old at all.

Green Ranger has posed:
She looked a state, and given how he must look, that he thought she looked a state was something else. He was a bit weary, wondering if she was just some kind of a very well equipped thief. He wasn't sure if he trusted her more, or less, wit hteh swipe of the keycard. When he approached he and was able to get a good look at it, he furrowed his brows. "That... it doesn't look old enough to be in a museum, but it looks like a smilodon tooth, but they went extinct 10,000 years ago?" He had been to Jurassic Park. He had heard of the Savage Land. So maybe, there were places. Still, it seemed strange to him.

Lara Croft has posed:
Lara stepped into the museum exhibit after hearing the teenager say this which surprised her a bit, he looked a little too... 'handsome' to know these kinds of things, so that was surprising to her, in a good way. She'd presumed he was some kind of athelete probably lost on a school field trip, but apparently she was wrong!

Lara walked across the faux grass and between the stuffed display models of the sabretooths inside and she settled the tooth down amongst a collection of others similar to it.

"You're right." Lara said to him out the open doorway now, glancing back at him for a moment from where she was crouched.

"As it turns out... they're not as extinct as the history books would have us believe." She showed another faint smile then, as much as she could upturn her lips without causing a severe amount of pain from the cuts and scrapes on her otherwise lovely face.

"But lets just pretend its a 3d printed fakery and not make a big buzz about it."

Lara stood up again and walked back for the open door. "Don't need people going out to try to find the few that seem to still yet live."

Green Ranger has posed:
He was happy to have her approval, even if he didn't know who she was. As sick as he was, and as beat up as she was, it was still a beautiful woman, and an archaeologist of some descript, who validated his own thoughts, and he liked that. Of course, someone else might not have been too happy with the way he smiled back at her. "Really..." he repeated, thinking about it, and knowing how the world reacted to the Savage Land, and Jurassic Park before it. "If," and he coughed again, "I promise not to go looking, will you tell me where you got it?"

Lara Croft has posed:
Lara stepped back outside of the display doorway and she pulled it shut again and then locked it up tight while Tommy spoke. It made her grin a little.

Lara turned around to face him then, key in her hand which she slipped into the pocket of the black leather jacket she had on over her dark grey tanktop. "South America." She told him. "Thats all I can say. It was... an unexpected find. Its not at all what I was down there for, but it sort of... well it found me. In a moment where I could not have possibly needed it more, in fact."

Lara smiled at the young man and she nodded once at him. "Its nice to see a young person seem to know his stuff, if not have a strong interest in them." Lara herself was only 24, but still, she rarely knew people growing up that cared about the Past as much as she did.

Green Ranger has posed:
Tommy offered his hand, then looked to the tissues he had in other, and pulled it back, "perhaps a bad idea under the," he coughed into a Kleenex, "circumstances. But my name's Tommy, Tommy Oliver."

Lara Croft has posed:
Lara's brown eyes looked down at the offered hand and then quickly took note of the young man's health and condition and it just made her grin and softly shake her head.

"I think that is quite wise, Tommy." She replied to him. "Lara." She said with a decisive singular nod for him. "Lara Croft. I work with the museum. I provide them with relics from around the globe."

"Why on Earth are you here out in public in your condition?" She asked him then. "You should be at home in bed."

Green Ranger has posed:
"Yeah, you're probably right, but I'm from Starling, and I had a ticket to use that new Zetaport... just my luck that I get sick the week before I'm supposed to visit New York." He seemed to be sensible, having a little bag for his used tissues. He placed a used one there, and then tried to smile at her, "it was nice to meet you Miss Croft. Maybe after I graduate, I might be able to get a job here too."

Lara Croft has posed:
The last thing Lara wanted right now was to get sick, so she did want to get the hell away from this kid, but at the same time he seemed nice and down on his luck which made her feel for him.

She still kept her distance though, a few feet at least.

Lara made a sad 'awww' noise at his story infact and she showed a look of sorrow for the poor luck. A nod was given to him then.

"Here." She said, digging one of her Nat. Hist. business cards out with all of her contact information on it. "Keep this. When you're ready, contact me and we can talk it all out and see whats what." She gave him another smile as strong as she could with that cut lip. "Dayquil. Its a life saver. Get yourself some soon as possible." She gave him a grin then.

Green Ranger has posed:
Tommy happily accepted the card, careful not to brush his fingers against her own, and he carefully placed the card into his wallet. "Thank you again, Miss Croft." And he nodded his head at her suggestion, "yeah, I should do that... I think I saw a chemist's not too far from the entrance." And he bowed his head, since he couldn't shake, and turned, heading off to take her advice.
