Cast of Characters: Super-Man, Superman

Super-Man has posed:
Kenan is at his Tai Chi class. It is the most widely practiced martial art in the world, and nearly everyone in China practices Tai Chi for health benefits. Kenan does that, but in his case it is more, it helps him find his spiritual balance so he can learn his powers. According to his trainer, he has 8 powers, of which he has learned 6. He finally learned Heat Vision while working with Supergirl, when he was in Metropolis giving testimony to the grand Jury about a kidnapping he thwarted. He did not use it fighting Starro though, he was too busy running the cloning machine...it is a good thing Briaxi sent along complete instructions for that.

So here Kenan in, in his class, practicing Tai Chi. His partner is a girl who wears a Superman shirt who calls herself his Shirt Alike...she is also the best student in the class, Kenan is third. He does not like to admit it, but he is not the best.

Superman has posed:
Superman had been looking for Chaoren, but things kept getting in the way. He'd seen,a fte rhte fact, how the young man teamed up with Batman to take out the threat. It made Superman proud for the younger hero. Now, the hero spots Chao as he is in tai chi class, and so he waits for him... for a fluid definition of waiting, because a car accident and a fire and a cat in a tree and a mugging all happen while Superman 'waits'.

Super-Man has posed:
When the class is over, Kenan checks the area with his super hearing...he hears people talking about Superman, and he soon locates the world's greatest hero doing some minor heroics. Chaoren places energy into his feet after drawing it in and runs at super speed to join the Kryptonian. He says, "Greetings Superman, did you need something?"

Superman has posed:
Hearing the pitter-patter of superspeed running, Kal finishes his conversation and turns to smile at the other hero joins him.

"Hello, Chaoren. Yes, actually. I wanted to know if you had a few minutes to talk?" Superman says politely, tone warm and friendly.

Super-Man has posed:
Given that his powers often manifest during or after class, when he achieves the right balance for his powers to flow properly, the Ministry is used to his getting back late sometimes. He replies, "I am certain I can spare a few minutes." He sounds young and eager, and a bit diffident. Superman is pretty much his hero.

Superman has posed:
"Thank you. Some where a bit away from people, if you don't mind?" Superman prompts, but waits for Kenan to start moving. After all, Kal isn't sure if hte young man can fly or not.

Super-Man has posed:
Kenan can not fly just now...in theory, if he has it figured out right, that will be the last power he learns. He can, however, leap very well and can run at roughly the speed of sound. Of course, since his home is one of the largest cities in the world, finding a place away from people takes a bit of work. He settles for the currently deserted observation platform on the outside of the Tower of Pearl, headquarters of the Ministry of Self Reliance. It should be private enough.

Superman has posed:
Wherever Kenan goes, Superman follows, flying above him so as not to worry too many. He had, after all, informed the consulate he was going to be here. WHen at last they've arrived, Superman lands down, still with a smile.

"Thank you again. First off, I wanted to say that I heard of your work with Batman on the Starro."

Super-Man has posed:
Kenan responds, "I could do no less, Starro is a threat to the entire world. While the Great 10 and Justice League of china would do our best, defending 1.5 billion peoplw from control by aliens would inevitably fail fi we let Starro reach Earth. We can thank Bat-man, who was able to reconfigure the cloning device into a portable form and figure our how to give easy instructions in its use so I could manage it." His fellow members of the Justice League Chins have earned his respect. Briaxi he had a hard time with originally, but he has realized that Bat-man deserves his title.

Superman has posed:
Superman can only smile and nod at what Kenan says.

"I'm glad yo have a good team behind you. It's important. So, while I may have helped you at the start of this mission, you and your team fnished it. You will tell them that you and your have my thanks?"

Super-Man has posed:
Kenan smiles with unaccustomed shyness, "I will let them know." He will also tell Dr. Omen, who will be pleased that her team of recruits is being acknowledged by more experienced heroes from other nations. He does not particularly trust her, but there is much he owes her...and knowing this will please her.

Superman has posed:
Blue eyes twinkle as Kal nods his head.

"Thank you. Do you still have the communications devices I gave you?" he asks then, waiting for confirmation before holding up a hand to forestall any attempt to return it.

"Keep it. I've had Seven reconfigure it so you can use it two-way. So if you need anything, you can contact me on it. It's.. not the Justice League communicator, as I meant to give you. it's a personal one, but it works none the less.

"I will be bringing up your name specifically to the League, the next time we all meet," Superman says now, because he is Super Impressed.

Super-Man has posed:
Kenan bows respectfully, the members of the league he has met have all been pretty impressive, each in their own way. Hopefully he has made a good impression in return. He says, "I thank you for the communicator, and will promise to only use it in case of a real emergancy." He will treat it like one of his powers, as if it only works when what he is doing is what Superman would do.

Superman has posed:
Another smile which snaps into a concerned frown as Superman looks off that-a-way for a long moment.

"Of course. Reach me anytime you need. Excuse me. There's an explosion on an oil rig," Superman says, voice suddenly tense and concerned and distracted. He lifts from the ground, eyes focused half a world away as he clears the area enough that hidding supersonic won't damage anything.

Up up and away to save people from the explosions.

Super-Man has posed:
Kenan watches Superman fly off, wondering if he will ever reach that level of ability. Well, in a sense it does not matter, he has abilities and those abilities have the potential to save lives. It is not how powerful you are, it is what you do with what you have. He turns and enters the Tower to tell the other what Superman said (assuming they were not eing monitored).
