Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
So she's done with the tour, she and Fanhuil have just about emptied out the churros at the concession stand and Kae is all but twitching for the sheer amount of Soda she's had... Still she's doing well as she sits at the concession stand, next to her is her backpack though it's kind of distorted really big which is a little unusual. Maybe whatever that allows it to actually store things is having a tough time with what's actually in the bag. Kae doesn't seem all that concerned about it, as she occasionally takes a bite of churro, and then hands one to her miniature magically-created cyber-dragon... The little creature wolfs one down and chirps again, seeming to want more as it twitches like one might expect a hyperactive cat might, it's little tail lashing back and forth... "Yer gonna get me in trouble one day Fan." She says and rubs the creature's chin and motions to the bag that had the churros... "See no more churros..." Fan chirps again, snatches the bag and well, he eats the sugar and cinnamon in the bottom of it, bag and all...

Kae just stares and sighs... "So gotta teach you a little restraint one day..." Speaking of which, Fan is now looking at the concession stand and what's there as well...

Crusader has posed:
"One would not suggest hoping into the stand Fanhuil" comes Crusader voice. The massive paladin figure was amazingly silent when he wanted to be. One moment he wasn't there, and the next moment he was. His hands were clasped behind his back and beneath his cloak as he eyes the little dragon with a serious but gentle staredown.
    But none the less he looks to Kaelyn "One apologizes for the other day...things came up" he says offering a bow of greeting. He had just gotten back from an outing and now finds himself back in the halls. He looks to the bag that seems barely able to contain itself "One assumes your here for your suit...and to see what you might discern with your magics?" he asks

Martian Manhunter has posed:
Despite the large crowd in the area going through one of the many tours of the Hall of Justice, the large figure of the Martian Manhunter can be seen floating above the crowd. Oddly enough, no one seems to notice him as he moves over the crowd, not a single person points or looks in his direction, and he slowly moves to land near Kaelyn and her group. The small contingent around her, though, seem to have no trouble noticing the green humanoid.

"Hello Kaelyn, and Crusader. I hope the tour was entertaining for you, and your guests?" Even the sound of his voice does not draw the attention of the rest of the crowd. Even more odd, the crowded area seems to allow a small circle around the group, and no one jostles them as people move in and out of the Lobby.

Kae motions to Fanhuil "J'onn, this is Fanhuil, he's a clockwork who I tried to animate with a new spell of my devising, anyhow he's taken on a life force of his own and well has evolved quite a bit.." the little dragon appears to be made from similar materials as Kae's dragon suit... Perhapse part of the suit is based on what she learned through Fan... "The magic at this point has pretty much converted him to a kind of bio-mechanical construct, he even eats now, as does his budy HootHoot, but Hoot doesn't like to leave the house... Fan on the other hand is umm, adventurous." Kae says.

Meanwhile, Fanhuil is looking at Crusader curiously, then looking at the concession stand, then Crusader and the concession stand... Kae sighs and taps Fan on the nose "Act up and you won't be allowed to leave the shop for quite a while..." Fan at this point seems to pout and then sits on its haunches while on Kae's shoulder. Kae then smiles to Crusader and J'onn. "Soo yah, basically I have my combat construct in my backpack, the backpack can't completely muffle the suit's magical aura and imprint. Another thing I gotta work on..." Kae then reaches into the backpack and tugs out a laptop. "I also brought this with me, it's a construct, and has a number of spell-programs on board... It can also interract with a normal computer just like a laptop might and can make use of other computers to help its processes along... Though limited computing power and all, Am hoping maybe if interfaced with the right machines it could help give me a better idea of how to adjust the star-dragon construct? There's litterally hundreds of spells making up the enchantment latice on this suit... so it might take a lot to adjust..."

Crusader has posed:
Crusader gently rubs under the dragon neck even as Fan pouts. Seems he was an animal man....even if those animals arn't exactly 'natural' "Stop your pouting little Fan, mabey One will get you a treat. Mabey" he wasn't making any promises, after all he didn't know how much work they will have to put into this.
    "Good evening J'onn, doing well One hopes" he tells the martion offering him a bow as he does others. "Do you think it is alright if she comes into the more restricted areas for this..or do we perhaps have a mobile workshop or such down here?"he asks the martion
    He looks to Kaelyn and then her lap top. "....well, perhaps if it interfaces with Us, it will suffice...though magic is quite new to me, so One is not sure how well it would...work" he comments to her. After all he technology was his specialty...especially interfacing with it.

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
Kae blinks and oohs "You might not wanna direct interface with this thing, there's magicks and programs that allow it to talk to other computers even use their computing power and all just like a regualr machine, but it's still quite magical in nature and all... " Kae says and rubs the back of her neck "Yer a sentient, wouldn't want something happening to you." She's obviously not worried about the computer, just the people working with it... "Anyway, having you around, maybe J'onn who can study my mental state when I have to 'strap' this suit on so to speak, and so on would help alot, specially if maybe this computer was connected to real sensors, and those sensors were like configured properly... Would honestly love to have another mage who's familiar with artificing and such to help out too at some point... The more minds the better." Kae adds with a grin

Meanwhile, Fan chirps at the mention of treat and hops off Kae to approach Crusader..> Silly constructs with a mind of their own... The little 'creature' then notices the cloak, or more imortantly something about the cloak waving and seems to be winding up for a pounce, much like a cat might, his butt's in the air, tail lashing back and forth and front is lowered as if he were going to jump.

Crusader has posed:
Crusader raises a gauntleted hand "Do not worry about us" he says "While magic is... a new field to me, One feels he would be able to handle interfacing with it just fine...it is what some would call second nature" he tells her. He eyes the laptop "Assimilation is...another matter" something he would not be doing "But alas, your equipment, your choice. However if you worried about hooking it up...it is likely best we hook it up to system that do not interface directly with the rest of the Hall or it subsideries" he informs her
    His eyes never seem to follow Fan. Crusader cloak continues to dangle...and one could swear it perhaps even moved a bit as if to tease the little dragon. All the while Crusader runs his hand through his tendrilled beard in thought about this "Perhaps your specialized programs for interfacing with 'normal tech' is something One can start with. Otherwise, please tell us all you can about this suit. As far as one is aware...they are no magical artifcers with us" he informs her. Though as he was just an Ally he could be wrong

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
"It's a combat construct... I chose a draconic shape as well, magic being creative and all, that is the alley I went down... Hard to explain, also the way the enchantments worked together, it seemed this would be the best choice. It also allowed me to fit more capability into a smaller frame.." Kae says now, the woman then glancing around "Though I can possibly better tell with this thing out of the bag so to speak.." she adds then umms "As far how it works, basically, the user merges or inhabits a core. It's done thorugh a pair of bracelets... I used to have it for all extremities, and the head, but I managed to get it cut down to just the bracelets, or a headband.. Allways useful when you can make something less complicated..." Kae then shrugs and boots the computer up, suddenly having an idea...

Meanwhile? Fanhuil is Fahuil, he sees flappy cloak and must have it, the little dragon leaps at the particular edge of the cloak, trying to grab it as a cat might do to a curtain.

Kae then brings up her computer's display of the suit...

"The items in it should act completely as one, but well they don't quiiiite get to that point... Yah it's got a powerful variable breath weapon, the plasma you've seen, but it also should throw out kinetic force that can be dialed down to stun or disable a normal person. It can also fire air bombs... Obviously that won't happen in space..." She says as she motions to the mouth and neck area... She then motions to the wings... "Should be capable of extreme exo-atmosphere speed via gravitic manipulation, also in atmosphere, it can use wards to make it self a perfect aerodynamic body, and should eventually be capable of high mach speeds, as well as rediculous maneuverability through manipulation of same gravitic fields.. Wing flapping changes the shape and direction the gravity pulls the body through... " She then zooms the thing out and says "Whole body is protected by interlaced wards built directly into all layers of the shell. This is to allow the form to take huge G's including impact G's and the like, it also has self repair ability too. And can form wedge-shaped wards around the claws, teeth and end of the tail for striking and cutting of flat wards to spread the impact.

Strength is much higher than a normal human's though I've not tested that..." She then motions back to the head. and runes down the spine of the design... "Divination spells to act as sensors, sight, extreme senses, etc..." she then turns the image up and motions to the chest before touching the screen. The avatar opens up revealing a kind of gemstone core that's wrapped with black metal of sorts. "That's the core, that's where the person inhabiting the suit is stored... basicaly it allows for you to take 'posession' of the suit.. And it's a bit better than say putting it on like a regular suit as it gives the user ultimate protection from damage.. Should the core be threatened to be breached it will teleport to safety, the body will then powder, and be summoned back to the core to be rebuilt..."

"I've not tested the latter." Kae says with a slight smile "Been afraid to as I havn't managed to be able to disengage from the suit easily... Also I can't cast spells while in that thing.. It seems all my ability to cast spells is used by the suit to manage all its systems..."

Martian Manhunter has posed:
Returning from some mental conversation, as his eyes took on a distant look and glowed slightly as the group continued to be unmolested, J'onn looks between the two "My apologies for that, there was a conversation that Green Lantern wished to have on a situation he's investigating in his Sector..." Looking at the mini-construct, J'onn bows his head in greeting, "Hello Fan.."

Nodding his agreement with Crusader, J'onn replies, "It would be best if we tested the abilities of your magical artifice in the Workshop of the Watchtower. It is well protected as a lab, and would not endanger any but us if something where to get out of hand..." His eyes glow again, before continuing, "...I have allowed Kaelyn limited access as long as she is escorted by a Member of the League." Looking back to Kaelyn, J'onn adds, "You have access to use the Zetabeam, escorted, and we can continue this conversation in the Workshop if you like?"

Crusader has posed:
Crusader cloak seems to come alive and actualy wraps about Fanhuil body - and despite being a cloak Fanhuil wll have discovered it is far far heavier than expected and didn't feel quite like fabric. The cloak though was gentle and wasn't trying to restrain the dragon.

"We will not being takeing it out of the bag in public" Crusader reaffirms first and formost. Sure J'onn can float about unnoticed and Kaelyn seems to have warding magics...but he was cautious. None the less he looks to the schematics shown and carefully analyzes it as Kaelyn explains the uses and how it works, and once she is done, he looks to the computer and he digs deep into the laptop upsurping control of the current program

The program seems to rewind back to initial model that Kaelyn shows him. ANd changes begin to happen to model, he points along the neck "If you store air or some sort of ammo - you should be more easily able to make kinetic shots in space, or simply store other useful substances in them for use on earth" he explains as 'pouches' seem to draw themselves onto the diagram. His hand moves towards the wings as he looks them over "One cannot say much on the wings - the aerodynamic body make it rather straight forward, though if you add a crest here" he points up to the neck to the head "You should be able to cut through the air more easily"

And than the wards. The computer seems to go nuts as it goes throug how the wards are currently placed and how they reach other parts of the body "Reduce the amount of wards placed" he says "Instead go for alternating layers - and intermixed them with high pressure air instead. This should allow you to stay in shape, allow you to protect yourself just as efficently, as well as give you more room to make all the systems work togeather more uniformly by 'running' other spells through the pressurized layers instead" he tells her "Pressure is what many pilots on earth use to stop themselves from blacking out from extream g-force."

The avatar again opens up and brings up a display of the bracer "To use this AND having your yourself inside the core is irresponsible." he states firmly "Unless it is properly tested. If you can fuse with this thing, than surely you can make it so that you can operate this suit remotely. Remote control would also eleminate the problem of disengaging and still allow the suit teleportion for self repair. You can perhaps even make a magical neuro network" he states and indeed the diagram takes on an example of this.

Of course all of this were suggestions from a being who knew little of magic, but plenty about technology. And any suggested changes were recorded onto a secondary model, leaving Kaelyn first model intack an untouched

He looks than to J'onn "It is no problem...if there is any space help required, One is avaible" he says, though he wasn't sure the League trusted him enough for that yet "Well if we do have permission to use the Workshop, One highly suggest we move ourselves there" he says finally when J'onn mentions giving limited access.

Kae ummms "The magics I'm using to make this thing work doesn't allow for remote operation saddly. If you allowed for remote operation it would be too easy for another arcane creature to grab and take control of it... Magic doesn't really have frequencies like say radio and telemetry... Soo best way to make this thing work os to posess it... Also the core is there to protect what is 'me' I do not wish to accidently permanently merge with the thing... " Kae says and grins a bit... " I like being what I am." she says with a wink... "Also the wards and the shape of the wards vary them selves based on need, sometimes they can reshape without conscious thought, all of this is meant to work naturally with the user, out of reflex..." She says and then J'onn mentions she should go to the watchtower... "Umm sure, lets go there I guess?" She says and smiles, now picking up the backpack.. She then glances to Crusader... "Anyhow if I get the construct out, and inhabit it, you'll see better, as this computer doesn't show it in an inhabited or merged state, it just shows how things are set up in their base state... However maybe I can find a way to reduce the number of spells on it, streamline it of course... I'd rather have too much redundancy than not enough." she adds with a grin.

Martian Manhunter has posed:
Once it is agreed upon that the discussion is best had in the Watchtower Workshop, J'onn escorts Crusader and Kaelyn to the Zetabeam area. "This is the Zetabeam Matter Transportation System. It will move us up to the Watchtower, and from there I will escort you to the Workshop. I don't sense anyone in the Watchtower currently, so we should not be interrupting anyone's work..." After a moment, he adds, "...the transferral process is not painful, but I've heard it described as standing next to a currently running large scale power system." That said, he activates the Zetabeam for the group, and teleports them to the Watchtower.

A quick walk through, and J'onn shows them the Workshop. The area is a mix of locally known Earth Systems, and various Alien technology setup across the room. J'onn mentally clears an area large enough for what he remembered from Kaelyn's shop, and calls over a few monitoring systems that levitate on anti-gravity systems. "Ready when you are..."

Crusader has posed:
Crusader feels the electrical rush ...and even absorbs some of the ambient energy. He shakes himself off as his cloak carefully places Fanhuil on his shoulder "One certainly loves the feeling of the transport system" he admits. His cloak gently tries to 'intergrate' with Ful, just enough to try and determine what make the dragon most comfortable...and once that is found out, his cloak will try and actually shape itself in such a manner weather it is wrapping the dragon up, or creating a short of nest on his back for it.
"Ahh, One sees. With demons or what not running about....yea it would be bad if anything else winded up inside your suit." he eyes the bag. Assimilating it could provide voloums of knowledge for him...but yea untill he really knows how it works it wouldn't be something he attempts, even if he had Kaelyns permission

Crusader picks up a few of the moniteers he is sure can interface with Kaelyn laptop - and made sure they were not attached to any of the WatchTowers other systems "Alright Ms.Kaelyn break out the Battle constrict" he says seeming eager to see more

Kae blinks and looks around the workshop, as she tilts her head "Woow, my place is well pedestrian in comparison." Next Kae reaches all the way into her backpack and pulls out something... it appears to be a metallic eggshaped thing, which is now floating as she pushes it over into a clear space. It's covered in hematite colored scale, but really gives off no light of its own... "Kinda funky like this isnt it." Kae says with a grin, then she reaches into a pocket and pulls a glowing purple stone out. She sets it at the crown of the 'egg' and the stone is pulled into said egg, then well begins unfolding. Somehow the 'egg' unfolds in a kind of fractale manor and soon enough it resembles the dragon-construct J'onn the others are familiar with. The whole thing is easilly 4 times bigger than a human being, probably the size of a small horse, but the dragon shape is sleek in the extreme. It has a long elgeant tapered muzzle. The eyes appear to be made of blue sapphire. The scales are the same hematite color as the scales on the eggs. The whole body is some maybe 15-17 feet long with maybe a 20 foot wingspan, perhaps bigger, but it's hard to tell while it just stands there wings folded.

The creature's forelimbs could also be used as hands, and appear quite dextrous even if it is currently standing on 4 leggs. The back legs are what one might expect, heavy strong, made for jumping and running. The whole belly is covered in scutes, these overlapping scales actually appearing quite heavy. Really the whole thing looks like it could be a living creature at this point, as Kae has made a number of alterations to the outer 'shell' of the suit. Still though the slight giveaway is if someone looks very closely at the scales, they might notice they seem to be a more crystaline alloy of some sort, also the fact there are runes running down either side of the creature's neck, along the wing spars, even on the arms legs and tail. The tail of course end sin a fanned point of sorts, capable of spreading into another control surface should it need it, also the wing's mebrane carries past the haunches and to more spars that fold flat along the tail. Down the spine of the 'creature' are long spines, with more webbing, these forming a long crest down the construct's back....

Kae then glances to the others "Soo I've made a number of slight improvements... Streamlined the body a bit more, really made it more comfortable to inhabit... Specially since when I get in this thing, as of this point I'm in a minimum of 10 hours... So I made sure I could still do work in it if need be.."

Looking around at Kaelyn's comment, J'onn nods his head slowly, "Many facilities on Earth would be envious of what we have been able to construct here. I have built much of what I can remember from my own Martian Technology, and other folks have been kind enough to offer their own alien technology to our cause." He points to several areas of interesting technology, "I must admit, however, that Batman is a more than capable Engineer, and much of what you see here comes from his own designs."

As the artifice is removed, J'onn begins a slow floating rotation around the device, "Quite extraordinary, Kaelyn. This is a creation that you should be very proud of..." As he takes in it's dimensions, he asks, "...I see that it has an alternate form. Have you tried adding a component that allows it to take on a more humanoid shape? Depending on where you are, you might find it's current size cumbersome..."

Crusader has posed:
Crusader whistles as he walks around the dragon "Slight is a bit of an understatement Ms.Kaelyn. The prior iteration looked much more...cubersome if you do not mind One saying" he states. He carefully examines the dragon and while thinking about moving his own lab uphere...but for now Dragon. He carefully takes Fulhuil off his shoulder before continueing the assesment

"Hmmm, an alternate form would be useful. Or simple shrinking it down...ahhh" he looks to Kaelyn "How big is the core? Human sized or smaller? One imagines you might be able to utilize a second or even third core to achieve other effects" he notes

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
Kae ooh's "Yaaah I was thinking about installing an ability for it to take on a more humanoid guise... Rember this is still just a prototype." Kae says and tilt sher head at the mention of another core... "Yah I thought about adding another core as a buffer, one to act and help manage the various enchantments, another to well store the 'driver' or the inhabitant.." Kae says and rubs the back of her neck. "The core is the size of a softball." She says and walks up to the creation. She taps a few runes on its chest, with a blue-gemmed bracelet and the thing goes back to sitting on its haunches. Kae then waits hands behind her back as the chest litterally opens up, a seam that wasn't there is visible and the chest opens wide, revealing the core.. "There it is... "She also motions to two other locations in the tight compartment... "I thought of up to 2 other secondary cores... Maybe spread the 'processing' as it were around... And yah to get this thing to be able to alter its shape at will, I'd have to add a second core to it, possibly a third." she says and tilts her head...

"Whatcha think? I've got the cores made up, wouldn't take long to transfer the necessary information to it.. We could try and do the transfer, install the cores and I could occupy it..." She adds and umms "If this construct wasn't allready tightly linked to me I could have another person pilot it, but I think the only person this thing will accept is me at this point..."

Martian Manhunter has posed:
"Perhaps you can look at several different combinations of sizes..." J'onn continues after Kaelyn's explanation, "...one more humanoid, but also one that is similar in size to a fighter jet or even a ship designed for space travel. You might run into enemies of the size we fought near Jupiter..." His analytical mind fully moving now, "...you could include a mass increase to further enhance the durability at larger sizes because you will not need to worry about inertia in space..."

He thinks about the additional processors, "You could have one built to handle defensive systems, in battle is best if you have a system that manages dealing with incoming attacks or changes in environment without you spending mental cycles on it." Landing near the front of the artifice, he adds "Perhaps a Sensor core, that will feed you information about what is happening all around you. Again, knowing what is out there is as important as defending against it. This will allow you to focus on maneuverability, communication, and offensive selection so you can determine the appropriate amount of force to use."

Crusader has posed:
Crusader shrinks down to about a foot in size and floats up and into the construct itself. He wanted a closer look "We think it is well made, but can still use improvements." he pokes his head out of th construct to look at J'onn "According to Kaelyne model - all that is handled in the head itself via divination magic." he looks to Kaelyn "If you moved that towards the core, you will not go blind if your head get decapitated. Though not sure if that how this thing works"

"But you got a point J'onn - if this is the main core you can concentrate your cores on other needed factors. You can even have cores you 'swap out'. Perhaps sacrifcing an offensive core for a shapeshifting one...at least untill the designed is improved upon" as Kaelyne did say this was a prototype.

"....lets boot him up" he says and floats back out of the core and resumes his 'full' size

Kae nods slowly at J'onn.. "Ookay..." She digs out the two secondary cores, neither of these near as impressive as the main one.. "Ok so lets try to make sensory and defensive enchantment more autonomous, that way it's just a direct reaction to perceived threat... I might could mke it relevant to interfearance with the aura... as once I am inside this thing it will have a lifelike aura..." Kae muttes, and sets her computer up.. She tugs out the 'cd' drawer on it, this is what she puts a baseball sized sphere onto, this being a secondary core... "The way I've made the mane core is it's capable of doing all this, but I'm imagining if we give this thing two secondary cores that will take pressure off the main and maybe off me too... Still I'm thinking I'm gonna have to get with an expert mage and litterally relearn how to cast spells while I'm inside this thing... But this could also help too.." She says and grins a bit, before she starts pulling up the 'programming' and all that went into the defensive systems on the main core... "If you could help with this? It all works like a standard OS, but the computer will turn the code into spell data and imput it into the core..."

Kae nods to Crusader "Ooh, well the one in the head kinda acts like a brain too, but really, the cores are what manage the function of the spells and enchantments... it won't change anything to add another core or two to that end.. and if yer in it and get yer head cut off? It'll hurt like a bitch and you'd be blinded for a while... The last ditch defensive mechanisms will kick in, and basically cocoon in the whole thing in a tight ward, while it teleports the head back and reattaches it... or rebuilds it... that takes a few minutes... " Kae says while she's tapping away on her keyboard, actually arranging the core's command functions .... "Ayhow, these two spare cores are all I have ready, it will take a while to make more... Right now they're blank and they can be reformatted and have new programming put in place if need be." She says with a slight grin... "Soo lets use your idea and put extra processing for sensory perception into this core, and defensives into the other, try to make all this more.. natural, instinctive I think... I'll also put the shapeshifting spell in the sensors core as the defensive mechanisms require more processing power, considering that there are lots of possible points at which you don't wat wards and rapid healing abilities to be activated.." She says and grins a bit

"Soo a humanoid dragon maybe? Ummm..." Kae taps her chin, and pulls up a furry site of all things and shows a nice picture of a humanoid dragon... "Something like that?" She asks curiously, then sets about sending the commands, aka spells into the first sphere....

Watching as the conversation proceedds, J'onn nods his head in agreement with all the thoughts, "I am only minimally educated when it comes to the capabilities of the mystical energies. Perhaps they allow for more autonomous actions? Is the required stimulus more fluid, or are the components for the warding very strict on the input parameters?"

He does like Crusader's thoughts on localizing the sensors, "Does the locations of the sensors matter in magic? If you can localize them such that you do not lose a capability if a section of the artifice is destroyed that would be ideal. You could even consider deployment of the cores in an extradimensional space since I believe magic is sensitive to such activities."

A few more moments, and he asks, "You do not plan on giving it the same large eyes, and overly large smile and tongue do you?" after looking at the various pictures on the furry site.

Crusader has posed:
Crusader looks at the site "....Juthuum help if you do Ms.Kaelyn. Please do not do that unless it is helpful to the design of the suit" he states. He follows that up with "Though a long tongue has shown to be adventages for some animals such as frogs, ant-eaters, and some variety of humming birds."
    He than looks to the sphere curiously and actually goes to pick up the core Kaelyn isn't programming yet "Well, this is interesting" he eyes the CD drive with the baseball sized core - Magic breaking logic in a logical fashion since the dawn of comics. "My education on mystism is folklore of my homeland and superstitions from around the world. WHich may or may not be true" after all demons are a thing

Kae umms "All depends on the magic used and how the mage goes about it. Magic in and of its self is very free flowing and really its biggest limitations is the imagination of the mage..." Kae says and shrugs "Also the amount of magical power the mage can control at any one time. Artificing can let one get around these limits to some extent, but there are still limits. Anyhow the enchantments are on the cores, and on the various parts of the suits." Kae says and motions to the runes "It's also in the material of the artifice in and of its self.. The cores are there to help manage the magic channeled into those enchantments and allow them to work together all better.." Kae then motions to the main core "That also stores a blueprint of the main artifice inside. I make an adjustment to that blueprint and reinstall the core, the core will alter the outward body."

She says and umms "I still gotta have mass to work with as of right now, so in order to make it bigger i"ll need to gather more supplies to basically make a bigger body... So this is as big as I can make it for now. The enchantments really do not care as to the mass or size of the body involved. They just require slightly more power to be able to use it. However smaller with a humanoid body is no problem as the exta cores can 'store' the extra mass and templates" Kae adds and grins a bit... She's soon programming up the second core, "Also the eyes are a good size for the rest of it, besides one can sense things outside one's body without just the use of eyes..." Kae says and grins a bit... "Also magi can see into the arcane, we can see power flow, shapes and whatnot, Mine are slightly more refined, as I inherited an ability to litterally see the shape and weave of an individual spell... " She pauses a moment and while the computer sends the necessary information to the second core, she pulls up one of the spells that makes up one of the many enchantments on the artifice... She then waves her hand and makes a 3d illustration of the matrix of said spell appear in the air floating in place... "That's kind of what I see when I look at a spell." Kae says, hoping it helps... "As I said, magic's an artform, there's science involved, but it's very much an artform... And if say I grab another spell.." She pulls up a matrix that's from one of the interlinking enchantments and makes the 3d image appear next to the firs tone... "See two different enchantments from different items per say, now if you connect the physical items together..." She hits a key on the computer, and the two matricies merge and become a new one, but much more complex... "The more we add, of varying power the more complicated the matrix gets, but at the same time the amount of power it can store grows exponentially..."

Kae grins a bit "This isn't an actual spell but it's a representation of one... It's also what I use to teach my students...She then blinks at the tongue thing "Ummm why would I want a large smile and tongue..." She then umms "Oh yah the extra dimensional stuff... "These cores are physical representations of the spell and a locus for the spell to exist from and act on in this dimension... You start moving things from one dimension to the other and it takes much more power to actually be able to work... As it is, I do not quite have that ability yet.. Some artificers might, I don't." Kae says and smiles... "I might be able to get better though.... Anyhow, the one caveat I have here, is that these cores have a twin in a safe spot. Whenever you write to one of these you write to the other... That other is in a pocket... The other doesn't really work as an active core but as a backup in case one of these or more gets destroyed..." She says and shrugs... "Also the only way to guarantee that while I'm using this thing, if it takes extreme catastrophic damage I won't be the one dying ya know? Think of it as an arcane ejection system."

Martian Manhunter has posed:
Listening intently, the Martian seems rather fascinated with the description of Magic, despite his normally impassive features. "Curious. You preconfigure your power level, form, and factor of the magical activity before hand with artificing? With the proper preparation, you are able to overcome standard limitations on strength and complexity..." Yes, this is something that J'onn could find a very interesting puzzle, "...and given more time to build complexity you increase the potential in an almost factoral increment."

Looking around the Workshop spurs another question, "Does the material provide a signifanct increase to complexity or power supply? If you were able to gather materials of uncommon types, would that allow you more flexibility in your creation?"

"Basiclly bigger on the inside" is how Crusader is seeing this. That was a natural ability of his to store things within himself without seeming to gain mass - let alone shrink himself down. He eyes the physical representation of a spell "Seems a simple enough concept to understand...but oh boy the possibilities are grand. Hmmm could you aquire power from alternative sources and convert it to magic power? Like how solar energy is converted into electrical. Perhaps you might acheive a similar feat to get around the power constraits" he says
    He looks to J'onn and hmms "From what we understand, different spells can require different components or reagents to work. Of course that more from fairy tales and such, so not sure how much of that is true..." which has him looking to Kaelyn

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
"Oh many different spells require differnet components and reagents.. Those Reagents actually can supply much of the structure and take the burden off the mage... That's the reason for casting with rites, and power circles, and runes and the like... " She taps her head "All comes down to the mage's mind.. Some mages can do all that in their head, they have tremendous 'computing' power as it were... Case in point, Dr Strange... This ability actually grows in time." Kae says with a slight smile... She then moves over to set the cores inside the 'dragon's' chest, then she says "Ok closing it up now..." And activates the closing proceedure...

Kae grins at J'onn "You kind of get it, artificers can make items that provide structure, form, all that before hand to take the burden off the mage... That being said I'm still a mage..." She says and holds her hand up, no using any items or anything like that and a ball of lightning forms in her palm... "This would be ball lightning, with a ward around it..." she says and holds it out to J'onn... "I used no items to help me make this thing..."

"Magic is largely predicated on will, and imagination." She says and smiles a bit... "There is magical power through out the universe, we can access it.. It's created through many different means, one is sometimes the rub and the way dimensions play on each other, creating a dimensional energy we can naturally access... Rites, spells, artifacts have the ability to access this too, or make the mage's life easier..." She then motions to the ball lightning "As it is it's harmless, It's given form, it's been given power, but right now no will with what to do with it... At this point I could make it act, or even you could J'onn... So if you would like to experience part of what it's like to cast a spell find a target and exert your will on the sphere." Yup while she works on her machine she gives a free lesson on magic! She even makes another sphere, this one appearing to be clear. As it forms in the palm of her hand, she looks at it, grins and offers this one to Crusader "This is wind... I've turned magical energy into elemental energy, given it power, and a matrice, but no purpose, it's form is obviously a sphere. Now if you will it to do something, it will take a shape based on what you imagine it should look like to do that certain task."

Crusader has posed:
Crusader hmms as he takes the sphere of wind in his hand. He turns it over multiple times. Wind, wind, what can he do with wind. He wasn't sure how strong this stuff was...but he doubts it is very powerful - after don't need a hurrican showing up. He looks to J'onn lightning ball - Wind + Lightning = Storm immediatly comes to mind
    Or minitornado. Yea let go with that. He holds the sphere with both hands one above and one below and gently pulls his hands apart untill the ball of wind becomes a minature tornado. He chuckles and a destructive short of mischiouf sparks across his eyes.
    "Could have probably done something more intresting with it...but one figured best go the safe route" he tells Kaelyn seeming to have picked up on the concept of magic quite easily.

"I see..." J'onn says in response to both Crusader and Kaelyn. "It is an interesting blend of Art and Science from what I am learning. It sounds very similar to the Green Lantern's description of their Constructs. However, the source of the power is both their Will and the Ring..." Motioning his hand towards the Ball Lightning, J'onn continues, "...where as you can draw your Power from either predetermined activities, Rites, Rituals, Wards, Circles... or straight from your own pool of energy."

There is a slight ringing sound in the room, and J'onn looks up towards the ceiling, "It appears one of my search results have found something of interest. Please excuse me while I check on this in the Monitor Room. Continue as you will, I will return once I"ve checked on this..." with that said, J'onn floats up, and phases through the ceiling into the next room.

Kae grins "Kinda, comes from all around us and from that little layer between dimensions, but close enough..." she says and looks to Crusader, and hands him the lightning sphere too "I've done the hardest part allready, but if you wish to try and create one..." She digs through her backpack and pulls out a simple wand... "This is a beginner's wand... Some have a natural affinity to do magic some dont.. This is an elemental wand, it's wind-based... It's very limited in power however. As you have to provide it...." She says and grins a bit "Just remember, magic takes a tole on the caster.. NOthing in this universe is for free.." She adds and now walks around the dragon construct... "Umm do you have a means to actually scan this thing here?"

Crusader takes the sphere of lightning "Something just go over your head we see?" points to the various scanners and equipment he and J'onn have pulled out when they first entered the room. "And as One said, he can act as a sort of scanning device as well" he says
    "Everything in the universe is free - it is people who put a price" he says simply. He takes the wand and raises a brow "....One thinks he prefers the spheres" he says. Waving a wand seemed...childish. But the sphere and rolls that about in his hand he tosses it up and the ball of lightning turns into a electromagnetic forcefield shield, which he catches and holds in his hand naturally. But after a few moments, the shield dissapates

Kae grins "Considering it's what some of us start learning with as a kid... Still there are adults who use em to, A wand is nothing more than a foci." Kae says and looks above, then ummms "Ok, you know how to operate these things.. I noticed when I inhabit this machine I breath, sleep, even can eat... I'm curious if there's a transition from artificial to a more biological structure internally is all... I don't have that means at home..."

Crusader aligns the various scanners around the table. "More or less" is his answer to that question. He turns on various scanners - x-ray, energy sensors, ones that look through various fields such as infrared, etc. He hmmms as he makes a few minute adjustments to account for some of the intell he got from Kaelyn schematics, and from seeing the machine itself "Alright, well if you merge with it now....we should be able to see any changes on the inside, unless you have those wards that mess with electronics active"

Kaelyn shakes her head "Nooo not at all. No need here." she says and grins a bit.... Kae then tugs from her pockets both the bracelets that let her merge with the thing... "Ya know this bit actually makes me nervous every time? So far I've not been able to disengage from it exactly when I've wanted to.. Sooo, I guess internally I'm worried about permanently becoming it ya know? Still, this is good research, folks can learn, and I've no doubt that with my notes another mage could fix the issue should that become the issue." she says and then grins a bit then activates her bracelets.. The bracelets glow and then Kae's simply gone.

There's a brief moment and it seems an almost visible ripple shifts over the construct, it now taking on a more life-like sheen. The runes even glow briefly then seem to fade more becoming less visible, more like patterns made up of the very fine scales covering the 'beast..

A heartbeat later, and then suddenly the sound of great lungs pulling air in can be heard. The scanners would at this point actually show that the internals more resemble a living creature at this point rather than some construct. Though the materials listed are pretty much the same. It's like now that there's a life force inside, the whole construct becomes a biomechanical entity of some sort. At least that's what seems to be the case, as there now appears to be a heart, lungs, stomach intestine, though biological scans might show that anything injested is wholy consumed with no chanse of any waste... More beathing and then the whole thing starts to move and the eyes actually glow and then there's a blink and Kae can be heard speaking, it's her voice, but obviously altered due to the form... "OK, mind's just getting used to the extra limbs and way things move give it a moment but I can communicate now." she says

"Good - as it stands, that blurrs my own vision" something he did not particularly enjoy. Crusader carefully monitors the scans "Hmmm, all the same material - but it seem the process makes your 'suit' undergo a natural shapeshift where as your gain comparable organs and functions to a normal body with a few exceptions" he tells her "Hmmm" he scans a bit deeper "Not sure if One is seeing this right, but One believes your cores are currently making up the heart of your suit...that or are hidden deep within. One is going for deeper scans" he informs her. "How do you feel? One knows a change of body can be....quite perplexing"

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
"Pins and needles at my extremities, but that's allways been the case sinse the first time I used it.. It fades in a little bit of time." she says.. "So yer seeing like organs and such? Wierd... Much like Fanhuil..." She mutters then shrugs... Also that same energyfield that started when she merged is now allmost completely spread to the ends of the wings toes, tale etc, as this happense she becomes more and more dextrous. To be honest it doesn't take too terribly long... "Just so ya know if this hasn't fixed the issue I've had getting out of this thing I could be this way for a little bit... Then again it's now got that humanoid form so I'm thinking that might make life a little easier." She adds and tries to grin, well she does but it's very toothy... She catches her reflection in a viewport and mutters "Instead of aiming for cool dragon look I shoulda probably made something more approcheable instead of obviously... 'hyperpowered carnivore'." She says and shrugs.. "Or maybe less life like?" she says and reaches up to tug down her lower eyelid a bit, then blinks a few times, now noticing a nictitating membrane closing one way before the normal eyelids do their work...

"I wonder if because of me imaginging this is how a dragon should feel like being, if the magic is forcing the form of this thing into a more lifelike countanance, that and the fact I'm used to being a living creature and all and not a machine.." she says and shrugs, before laying down to await the scans.

"Soo! Whatcha think?"

"One has yet to encounter a dragon that was a hyper-powered carnivore" he notes. "And cool dragons are approachable...humans just need to work on their social skills is all" it is hard to tell if the man is joking or not.
    "Make me wonder if One would have such problem, since for me their is little different between a living creature and a machine so to speak" he notes. "Anyways, scans reveal that this 'living machine' is spreading throughout the dragon form. Your wings are almost done and soon your tail as well. It seems to go outward from the core itself" he tells her.

"Would make sense, I inhabit the core,then the cores link and start to connect all the various systems and such together... If it's making the thing shift to something that feels more organic it would do that from the cores, go straight to the head so as to allow me to move at all then the finetuning so to speek would be that living machine thing spreading... " Kae actually giggles a bit, it sounds wierd coming from her at this point "Wouldn't have thought it would do this to something like this...." She says and shrugs.. "Sooo, Once done with the adjustment period, what do you think I should do next? We need to apply an order of tests to check out everything I guess?" Kae asks.. Yah she's a good creator, not much of a great researcher..

"Rip out your 'heart' and see if that feature actually works" Crusader says flatly. Brutal ain't he? "And yes experiments can go their own way at times. As for what to do next, core test aside, one would recommend doing flight tests, breath tests, spell stress, and so on and so forth. Alot of tests" he says.

Kae umms "Can we do the core ejection, after the other tests? For efficiency sake? Even if it's just an ejection and a reinsetion, the core will take time to reattach everything." She says and grins a bit... "But yes I imagine I'm going to have to put my self through a core ejection just to make sure everything is within the norm... I have no doubt itll work, these spells are pretty full proof, but it's the side effects that may worry me." she then umms and tilts her head "Soo lets first test maybe the shapeshifting ability you suggested I install?"

Kae closes her eyes, and the runes along her form glow briefly, then she seems to collapse on her self, taking in a more human guise. NOw instead of the size of a horse, she's mabe 8 feet tall, and quite humanoid. Yes she even remembered to form clothes with the spell at least, a kind of simple loin cloth dress and haltar top... She opens her eyes pauses and looks down before trying to look her self over... "Ok, this is easier to deal with I think than the other.." she adds, and now spins around on a digitigrade foot...

"So other question, you think this whole thing is a good idea? Me trying to do the superhero gig as a mage?" She says and tilts her head. "Am kinda still on the fence about this, but I like to help where I can, makes me feel good..." she adds, then looks at the computer and goes to look at the scanners now too... "Sooo wierd actually going into a construct like this.." She mutters.

"One could not say. One is not a consultant on weather or not an individual should be a hero" which he is surprisingly asked by alot of would be hero if they should try to be a hero. "Being a Hero is not a job, save for a few exceptions. And the reasons folks do it are various. Some do it because they feel good, or want attention. Others seek to bring criminals to justice, while others want to protect the innocent. It is not a question of trying" he says firmly. He looks over Kaelyn "It is not that weird...alright MABEY for humans it is"

Kae is now sitting at her laptop using something without a back for obvious reasons... She glances around and looks at the scanners, then what it's relaying to her laptop which is turning htat into magical based data she can follow easily... "Oookay, so as far as these readings go, I'm essentially turning my self into a form of dragon whehter that was my intent or not. Yay for connective magics... " She glances at her computer and then glances to Crusader and back. "Soo, I basically essentially need to quit subconsciously fighting things... There's really no way that I can think of to really stop that act, short of litterally making this thing as a suit of armor and haveing it built around me like a regular suit instead of using these cores. Downside is that the systems for that kind of setup would also leave me a little more vulnerable to damage... Oh and some damge the body takes will actually carry over to my natural body too.." She says and blinks "Definately don't wanna become beheaded then..." Kae looks to Crusader and gives a toothy smile. "I really want to thank you guys for letting me have access to theses sensors and lab, with this stuff, I can get a better idea of what I need to change."

"Than one suggests keeping your cores inside your body just in case. If one of those go...you go" Crsuader says. He looks to the screen "And perhaps disconnecting from the suit works similar...perhaps your fighting the process to much" he says in thought. "And no problem, not sure how much access you will be given in future endeveours, One is not an 'offical' member...just a being with some access is all"

Kae umms "Well the core ejection would forcefully cease that, but I imagine I'd be inside the core till it rebuilt a body then I could change back... " She says and shrugs "Magic usually calls for a tradeoff of some thing, It's just how it works. This could be the price it wants for me creating this and then trying to use it..." She says and shrugs again... "Uhhhh... Sooo there's a few options here... First part of the problem with me separating is there appears to be soe imbalance.. so there's got to be a way to fix said imbalance... That might take a better mage than me to help with that one..." She says and grins a bit "I got issues... Secondly, with a little help, in theory , I could fully merge, then separate the existances to be able to flip back and forth. IT's been done in the past but that might not be the ideal situation." She then sits back in her chair and looks to Crusader "Sooo how'd you get connected with this place? If I may ask?"

Kae tilts her head "I can't work the magic I need to to modify the ejection process from within it. Evidently most of my ability is still being used by the apparatus, or maybe it's being changed. I can't tell. Shape does make a difference in how you channel magic, and as I'm not the best transfiguration mage out there, that could be the issue." Kae says and smirks a bit... "Soo what all did you do to help them?" she asks now.. "And who's your sponsor?"

"Helping to catch and stop criminals such as the joker, fighting a /much/ smaller Starro down south and so on" he says "Officialy, One is not sure he has a sponsor, though he was invited to be an Ally by Superman. But beyound that...One would not take my case as a typical one, it was very very early in the leage inception. Things may have changed"

"According to the computer it's less time at least.... Maybe after doing this enough the time stuck in this thing will go down..." She adds "Ya know practice and perfection and all..

"No clue...like One said, he does not think he case was typical" he states once more. "But yes, practice does make perfect and should help with things to come along. But as it stands, One does need to be off, but cannot leave you alone. Luckily there are alternatives" Crusader tells her.

Kae laughs "Noo. I'm humanoid enough I can put an illusion over my self and go invisible or fly back to my shop. I should be able to get quite a bit done even as I am... As I've a number of potions and clockworks to make and neither requires spellcasting.." She then holds up her hands, now though ending in small sharp claws and all are perfectly dextrous... "Good idea to do a hybrid thing with this... Makes life a bit easier what with the being stuck this way for a while."

Kae picks up her backpack, blinking "Ooh light.." she then puts away her computer and begins following afterwards "Though from what I understand I imagine seeing me wander off the transporters at the Hall of Justice like this probably wouldn't raise many eyes...." she says and rubs at the back of her neck, catching a hand on a spine and then adjusting her hand... "Am thinking most won't recognize me like this..."
