Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Crusader, 209

Crusader has posed:
Nightime on the docks. Of all places in the city, the docks were one of the most quiet ones. Save for perhaps a pub or two along the boardwalk. The silent rolling of walls was previlant, and the crescent moon and stars reflected off the not quite still waters. Many of the piers were filled with various boats of all sizes. And some where empty. To some people such a place like this, with the salty air and decently warm night, it was a good place to relax.

And for some of those people...that place was beneath the waves. Crusader was swimming around the one such dock in a decently large sting ray form. On his back glowed a soft golden Shield and Sun Sigil. Unlike a regular jellyfish he also had several tenticle like whiskers. Some may confuse him for a monster or just be enchanted by the light show he apparently displays. But for the most part the odd creature seemed obliviouse....but in this world, nothing is quite what it seems.

Lucy (209) has posed:
The docks are empty right now, the wind whispering between buildings and adding to the onerous yawns of the waves and tide. there is no one out on thedocks right now save for Lady Nyx herself and a single diminutive girl. Eighteen or nineteen but less than five feet tall Lucia is a slender blonde with a delicate, waifish bone structure and build, and intense blue eyes. She is wearing a white dress with a pink blouse panel, short white sleeves, and pleats in the skirt. It ends just above the girls knees and is paired against white sneakers, Right now this girl is traipsing toward the edgeof the water. She ends up standing along a cement dock, toes just over the edge, leaning forward so that she can stare with wide eyes into the water. She knew exactly where to come to find the stingray and her eyes follow it with a curious intensity.

Following that gaze is a probe. She's requesting remote access to a computer system, an open signal that shows she does not, at least, know whati ti s she is going to find. But find it she did regardless and now the girl is seeking to investigate. She bites her bottom lip briefly, tilting her head while she considers the creature's path.

Crusader has posed:
The unsual stingray path was almost a walts, a dance. Lost in its own world the ray gently dove and rose, twisted and glide to some unsung rythem that only it heard. Seconds becomes minutes. But only a few. Before finally The ray with its quivering stache seems to turn and face Lucy. It glowing eyes stare up at her. It rises up and breaches the water looking back at her for the longest moment as if trying to figure something out. The ray underbelly was pure white, while the top, sigil aside was a metal steel blue. Small dots like stars seem to dot all along the top of the ray.

"Human...and Tech?" the creature somehow seems to vocalize, despite not actually moving it mouth, which was in no shape to form human words anyways. The ray....was -alot- bigger when it wasn't down in the waters depths. A signal seems to come from the way... a rather gentle poke at the tech inside Lucy...just a poke, no attempt to gain access, just curisoty.

Lucy (209) has posed:
The response is a signa for a signal. Computer to computer. It's precise and deliberate, in much the same way as the stingray himself. The girl, for her part, stares expressionlessly at the giant, eyes following it upward withotu reacting to its enormity. Instead she takes a deep breath.

"Human and tech is an oversimplification. Technology is part of human and vice versa. More precise is 'human from tech'." That response is given in a crisp, calm way as Lucy breaks the situation down. "All of me was constructed except for certain key elements." The poke would show that Lucy has some sort of a highly advanced processor that is capable of defending itself as it does not respond to requests for information and the encryption is, by any standard, excellent. Just a glimpse, without pushing. Most of the girl is not tech at all. But there is tech inside of her. A lot of it. thousands of microprocessors hidden away in that waifishly thin frame.

"You are technological animal?" A beat. "What sort of animal is are you?" Lucy also does not appear to vocalize.

Crusader has posed:
Crusader himself...was confusing. Despite clearly haveing technological signals, it is difficult to determine where those signals should even be enimating from. There was no processor, specified components, or even software. And yet...he defintly if Lucy has the sense for it, has /some/ sort of coding...hard codeing anyways. Perhaps being made of some very advanced technology or mabey technology that simply works different. But it clear he definintly had some top notch defense himself

"Might be an over simplification.... but even if your a human made from tech, it still requires you to be human and tech" he says "In short, the statement itself is still true and valid. One sees little need to over complicate thing"

He wasn't as precise....mostly natural actually with tone and emotion, despite the lack of any known organic material. "An engineer one, known as an Enforcer, the only member of my species currently" he informs here when she asks the question.

The entity sinks back into the water, but does not leave. He swims a bit more

This time, he seems to transmit a signal, computer to computer much like telepath to telepath "So, nanites son" yes, he even knew memes "Well daughter one guesses. WHy is a young human like you in possession of so many?"

Lucy (209) has posed:
"No." The girl quickly shakes her head. "Distinction can be very important." She frowns then, twisting her weight slightly and she shfits in frotn of Crusader. Finally the girl, apparently restless, breathes a deep sigh.

"I have them because they are mine," Lucy continues in a bored way before shaking her head quickly. "They are here now," she finishesafterward. BLue yees drop back to the water while the girl is conisdering her own words. Finally she adds, "They are built inside of me and so that is where they are unless released."

Now Lucy starts to walk. She turns away from the dock and simply begins to move, heading back toward the street with purposeful strides. She is nowhere near the edgeof the range for transmissions as she quietly traipses off into the dark.

Crusader has posed:
"Yes, but it still human and tech, just saying" there was a...chuckle behind that signal somehow. Unfortantly Crusader...has a rather short range. He can sense her moving away, but was curiouse. As such he poses on some question her had...about how Lucy worked.

"So...the nanites are made in you. One assume that...supercomputer in you is the main constructor. What exactly are your nanites made from? Must you proces special food, or might anything be turnd into these nanites?" he transmits.

Lucy (209) has posed:
The girl knows intuitively where the range will peter out and that is where she stops, saring out at the empty road not far from where she and Crusader met. The reply he gets is just as simple as the others. "Any material can be processed and used as raw materials. Nanites collect materials at the molecular level." The girl rests her hands against her hips, fingertips stopign just shy of the edge of her pleated skirt. It's a long moment before the girl continues to "speak". "Nanites devour. Rock, paper. Skin, flesh, bone. They are simple bots. Bots do not choose."

Crusader has posed:
"Not yet." is Crusader answer.

The Crusader form shifts and changes intoa massive and armored humanoid figure with a white cape. He had no toruble getting on the dock as it was concrete instead of wood. Approaching he transmits "One assume the nanites you control are....airborn correct?" he asks

He figured the young woman likely wouldn't get startled from his appear. 8ft tall, his armor seem to comform to a rather hulking phyque. He had a beard of armored tendrills and his head enacased in a corithian style helm. His armor appeared to be primarly steel blue with white accents. His sigils were emblazed on his chest and cape. Within the helm one could see...tanned skin perhaps, but otherwise he seemed to have a liquid metal feel to him. "One is instead made of something called.... cellnites. Not quite simple nanites but not quite cells either. Somewhere between the two."

Lucy (209) has posed:
"Airborn. They could walk but airborne is far more efficient," Lucia agrees. She hardly even looks up when Crusader is approaching her despite the enormity of the Enforcer's physical form. Blonde locks drift across her face as a breeze is sweeping by, the most motion she really gives.

"You are very conspicuous," Lucy observes simply, not shifting despite the fact she is literally less than a fortieth of the giant's mass. She continues to stare at the apvement in front of her. "Cellnites. Nanites that operate as biological cells as well as operational micromachines. Fascinating concept. It seems impractical to implement but clearly works." She nods once slowly, as if she's learned something.

Crusader has posed:
"Aye, to put it simply anyways. Unlike yours, they can not yet be airborn or operate independtly of each other. As such one is more akin to a non-newtonian fluid" Crusader states Crusader stands next to Lucy and looks up the street and than down. Empty for the most part...and those who see Crusader form in the distance quickly alter direction

"Does one have reason to hide? if not, than should one bother being inconspiciouse?" is his answer to the statement "One was made to both stand out, blend in or completly dissappear as needed to carry out ones primary directives anyways"

Crusader looks over Lucy, his signals indicate him trying to gain a deeper understanding of how at least the technological part of her works "Was rather easy to implement. The respective species used in my engineering provided the nessary building blocks to do so."

Lucy (209) has posed:
"One has every reason to hide. You should as well. Some people would like very much to divide you into tiny pieces and isolate your cellnites to see how it is they function," Lucy replies. She still doesn't look up from whatever it is she us studying. Instead the girl finally moves another step forward, perchign on the edge of the street with the toes of her canvases hangign out just over the edge of the road.

"It is not safe for me to be found," Lucy continues in a whisper. "Too much risk. Safer not to draw attention. It is always safer, even when one has no reason to hide." Lucy breathes a quiet sigh then and slowly turns around until she can once more look Crusader over from head to toe. "Every nanite operates independently. Each go forth,g ather resources, return. Ants to the hive. Hive contains queen. Queen directs hive. Gather resources, return. Go out, place resources, build. Rebuild. Built a body. This one can hide if she chooses to tear apart the building blocks again." A beat. "It hurts."

Crusader has posed:
Crusader hmmms a moment and takes a seat next to Lucy "One guess...he does in a way. As you have seen, one form is what he chooses, more or less. This is the guise of one who wishes to be quite open, and hopefully guide the word. In this form, one is ment to be seen and challenged, even by those who may wish ones destruction" he says "In other form, one must stay hidden, not to protect self, but to protect others. Odd balance it is....hard to know which is real"

"If it is not safe to have attention drawn to you...than one will...help in this endevor" his form change into that of a buff man in his late 20s, black t-shirt, jeans, boots. A bouncer or mabey even thug. But least he didn't stand out

"One does wonder...who is after you?" he asks.

He frowns deeply "A design flaw, if your nanites hurt you when tearing you apart. If anything your nanites should begin by turning off ones pain receptors. One would think that would be an obviouse first choice....but than again depending on how you were made... the maker may have not cared."

Lucy (209) has posed:
"Not- real pain. Memories. I have no skin. I have no skin. IhavenoskinwhydoIhavenoskinwherediditgo? OhgodwhatamI? Ican'tmove...." The transmission switches to a sharp burst of frenetic information and urgency as those words come and for a second the girl's blue eyes widen slightly. Then she takes a deep breath and moves to stand beside the large man who has now joined her beside the road.

"That is close enough to hurt. Your new form is good... Better to stand with you this way." Lucia lets other questions hang in the air for the moment, instead arching back slightly as she leans back and turns her gaze toward the sky overhead, watching as a plane passes far above in the darkness.

"Who is after me? Probably more than one group. Government. Corporate. Possibly law enforcement. Lied to. DOesn't matter."

Crusader has posed:
There an odd transmission from Crusader one of guilt and confusion as if he understood what she ment...and yet it clear it was for differing reasons. He coses his eyes...or as Lucy might read it he tempoarily turns off his vision, as his whole body is capable of sight. A 'breath' a moment. "When one is not born with their....abilities, it can be difficult, and alien. Surreal. That one guess is a kind of pain" he finnally says.
"One thanks you for compliment. It one of several one enjoys taking one." he than glances to her "Makes it sound like the whole world is after all. Is there no one you can trust? A friend, family, someone?" he asks "A burdan like that is very large to carry from a rather empathetic species"

Lucy (209) has posed:
Friend? "Dead." Family? "Dead." Someone? "Deliberating." Lucy's laconic answers continue as stonily as all of the previous ones, with the girl still just a wisp in comparison to Bjorn's muscular 'human' frame. She breathes softly and remains as still as before. Like a doll of a youn woman left beside the road.

"Burden or not. I am an escapee. Millions of dollars in research. More than enough to justify paying government officials and police reports." The girl then slowly shrugs her shoulders. "If I stay very still they can't find me."

Crusader has posed:
Crusader is quiet a long moment "Have you considered.... having them removed?" he asks "No nanites, no reason to go after you." he says "And than perhaps you can begin living a normal life, if that is something you want. While one wishes that the authroties can be recommonded, this worlds.... system or rather systems still need serious work."

Lucy (209) has posed:
"Removal is impossible," Lucy responds seriously. "I am missing a large segment of my natural brain." There is a beat before Lucy adds, "Lacking a brain is generally considered to be fatal among vertebrate species."

Crusader has posed:
Crusader nods "One sees. Due to one primary objective....that is unfortantly one organ one cannot help to regenerate. Though one has read articles that feature humans who have lost anywhere from a a quater to a little over half their brains and only suffering minor defeats. Such as some lack of control over motor functions and memorie loss" he says. "But otherwise able to live full lives"

"Were it a stomech, kidney, even a heart, one would have been able to do such a procedure" he says "With no side effects, save for the lack of nanites"

Lucy (209) has posed:
"Losing those segments of the brain I would cease to be Lucy. Regeneration is not an option," the girl replies, nodding her head very slowly. "Lucy is a bunch of ones and zeros stored on a mainframe because the brain which was Lucy is damaged d and memory must be outsourced. Creates issue in recall, application. Preferable to the alternative." She shrugs her shoulders again slowly, still turned away despite being right next to the 'man'. "Everytying else is whole. nanites cannot replicate original brain. I o not have blueprints for missing pieces. It would lack too much information now." Finally Lucy breathes a quiet sigh and turns to look up at Crusader once more. "I appreciate offers of help. But the ocmputer is as much a part of me as anything else now."

Crusader has posed:
Crusader nods "Indeed. But perhaps one day you will come to terms with what you have become." he says. "Perhaps you may even help people with whatever abilities these nanites have afforded you, and someday secure a more... secure state of being" he says
Crusader watches as a car passes by as the suns first rays begin to rise "Fate can have a twisted sense of humor. One is in a position almost directly opposite of yours, so to speak" he says.

Lucy (209) has posed:
"Tell me," Lucy responds simply, continuing to watch Crusader s she does. The girl reaches down to smooth her pleated skirt against her thighs and otherwise stays quiet still, head craned backward so as to actually be able to see the man's eyes. Blue eyes snap to the car as it comes streaking by but it is obvious that Crusader has the young cyborg's full attention.

Crusader has posed:
"Well, one takes it you started out as human, yes?" he asks. An assumption on his part.
He grunts "Anyways, when one was made using phalaynxspecies and klyntar of which both featured unique properties. One was that they hive minds within their species. No true leader, but a collective conciouse instead" he states. His eyes slowly look towards hers "And could bring others into it" he says "As such when one was first formed, one had no minds, memories or anything" he says "My primary personlity was created by forcefullbly reprograming several individuals to become paragons of their ideals, before being competly assimilated physically and mentally by yours truely. Unfortantly the reprogramming process went wrong, and one was nothing more than fractured pieces of conconioess unable to become fully aware"

He give her a moment to digest this "Eventually one was sent to earth, where it was beleived the assimilation of an individual who did not go through the manual reprogramming process would jump start one into full sentience. They were afraid of using their own though. ANyways. Turns out they were right. The human that one assimilated filled in all the mental cracks, and that human mind was reprogrammed internally instead."
