Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Polaris, Havok, Scarlet Witch

Polaris has posed:
Seated in one of the gardens around the fortress that stil manages to have a little shade, Polaris huddles into a chair with sunglasses on, and a bloody mary to fight off the Hulk sized hangover she's created for herself. The green haired woman scowling a little at the song of tropical birds.

Havok has posed:
Wearing a hawaiian shirt and kakhi shorts, Alex Summers stumbles into the area. His eyes are also covered by dark shades and he looks worse for wear. He holds a very large water bottle in his left hand that is half empty and cold due to the sweat of the bottle. His flip flops slap the bottom of his feet as he moves to find a nearby chair and settle in gently. He says nothing. He doesn't want to make his, or anyone elses, headache worse.

Polaris has posed:
Eying Alex as he comes out, Lorna lifts a hand by way of greeting. Said hand moves to support her forehead as she leans against the arm of her chair. She works on her drink and watches the blonde Summers, some smugness that he's not much better off as she grins a little.

Havok has posed:
Alex lays his head back on the lounger and rubs his forehead with his free hand. There's a soft grown that escapes his throat and then he puts the cool bottle to his forehead. He comments casually and very quietly. "Seems like we should have known better." His eyes are closed behind the dark shades and he tries not to move any more than he has to.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Half a world away from her daily life, Wanda's trips to Genosha tend to be of the arcane, reality-bending variety: with a moment's concentration, she touches upon the uncertainties of time and space, vaulting herself through it toward her distant home-away-from-home-away-from-home? Or something like that. Wanda's time in Genosha has been limited, certainly, as her legacy with the Brotherhood has always been a strain upon her relationships and perception elsewhere. But times change, and even her father has changed. If she knows much about the universe, it's that there are always chances for things to be different. Certainty is the only real impossibility.

Which is all a fancy way to say that one second she simply appears in the garden. She's dressed in a common fashion for her now, one that blends costume and practical, joining different halves of her life together. A quick glance takes in the surroundings, as she hadn't bothered to really check ahead *what* she was sending herself into. Fortunately it's nothing bad. "Ah. Lorna, Alex, good to see you both."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna opened her mouth to answer before her sister appears. She makes a face and winces at her voice. "Oh my god, Wanda. Why?" She asks and holds her head. To Alex she finally answers, "We really should have. I'm considering everything before firmly buried in booze and moving on, clean slate." She says quietly and gestures for Wanda to sit. "What brings you by Wands? So loud and early?" It's not early, she's just hung over.

Havok has posed:
One eye is opened with the shifting of reality and the arrival of the redhead. Alex takes a moment to recointer and then remember. He's in Genosha and that's not Jean or Madelyne. There's a half smile, almost painful as Alex regards, "Hey Wanda.". But his eye closes again and he remains in his unmoving position. And it's probably best to let the girls talk since he's really out of this loop right now.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda seems rather blase about the whole thing, and nothing seems to start twisting into other-dimensional bizarreness or Escher-like physical impossibilities around her, so it seems she has things moderately in hand! One hopes. "Hmm? Why? I just wanted to come and visit everyone - is it a bad time?" Only now does she take in the odd air about the two of them, the winces, the squinting eyes. The complaints about volume that is definitely at a normal level. "-Ah. I'm guessing it is a bad time. Were you all hosting a party here? I'm just a tad upset I wasn't invited."

But she doesn't really sound angry, her voice light and joking. "There's really no special reason. But I'd been away a while, from here, from New York, back home attending to some things. So I've been going around and catching up, mostly."

Polaris has posed:
Tossing a stick of celery at her sister, Lorna manages a groan. "School's great, teaching less so, always politics to manage." She says trying to short hand catch Wanda up. "Ghosted again, tried to drink it off, very hung over." That should about cover it, if quietly. She looks to Havok. "So, do you live here now?"

Havok has posed:
The cool bottle is kept to his forehead a bit longer while Alex tries to get over the whole being awake part of the day and then the brightness of the sun even through the shades. "Not here, Wanda. Back at Harry's Bar. A lot of us got together and drank a little more than we should have. And I'm not sure, Lorna. I'm not even sure how I got here last night. I kinda remember walking out of Harry's and .. well, I can't remember." He puzzles silentely about it, but decides its too much work to think about. He opens the bottle, takes another long drink of water and tries to hydrate. Brain is too dry. Must have more water.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
"Ah, at Xavier's? How bad could the politics possibly be? Arguments over love and tolerance?" She's not wholly dismissive, but then again, the fact that Wanda's departure from the Brotherhood didn't take her straight to the X-Men must say something about differing philosophies, or at least outlooks."

Alex's retelling earns a little smirk. "Ahh, the wages of sin. Maybe you were kidnapped by a witch?" That's probably some sort of joke. "It's quite impressive to wake up from a hangover on the wrong side of an ocean and another continent on top of that. I suppose someone gave you a 'ride', albeit I'm guessing a rather interesting one. But yes, it's a good question - are you staying here on a long-term basis now? Either, both of you, for that matter."

Polaris has posed:
"I didn't fly him. His brawny ass left the bar hours before I did." Lorna murmurs and squints at Wanda. "I more or less live here now. The X-Men call I might answer, but the school it's occurred to me, is flawed. Especially where graduates are concerned." She downs her tomato juice based concoction and shifts so Wanda blocks some of the light.

Havok has posed:
"I'm..." Alex tries to answer Wanda's question and gives pause while he forms his words. He starts anew, "I'm taking a leave of absence from Xavier's and the X-Men. I had a few things to get straight in my life after a little adventure I had. So I found my way here and your dad gave me a place to live and work. Not sure how it'll work out. But I'm working on that too. And I'm sorta on board with Lorna's way of thinking with the whole flaw at the school. I think there should be more to what we do instead of just kicking kids out on their own if they don't fit the X-Men mindset and power set."

Scarlet Witch has posed:
"Howso?" Wanda has to wonder of Lorna's criticism, more in a fashion of curiousity than intent to dispute the notion. And as Alex adds his own departure to the whole discussion, she folds her arms before her. "If it's what you need, by all means. Though I'd caution you not to expect some brilliant clarity from my father, any more than from Charles. The two of them have both always held to rather- I might say unrealistic extremes, and though either may modulate them from time to time, there is something fundamental in their outlooks that will never change."

She doesn't seem hesitant of being critical of Magneto in his own house, at any rate, though there's nothing especially biting to her tone, either. "But change is good. I hope you find what you're looking for here, or at the least, that the distance helps."

Polaris has posed:
"What he said. We take in kids-sometimes alone in the world, shelter them, educate them for a few years, if they can fight, and the want, they stay on as X-Men, most don't, can't, won't, and they go out to a human world that is largely only accepting on the surface." She shrugs and groans a bit. "I need more water for this." She manages, sliding to her feet. "You stay as long as you like Alex. Nice having a familiar face around."

Scarlet Witch has posed:
"Ah, so we're speaking of long-term community?" Wanda wonders. Even as Polaris rises, she's adjusted to the lack of an additional seat by simply folding into a crosslegged sitting position in the air. It looks oddly relaxed. "The school can never offer that, of course. Not merely out of preference but simply- they do not have the resources, the facilities. It is no surprise that many come here looking for a home, and I am glad they find one waiting for them. Growing up as I did..." Well, she doesn't really need to say it. She knows what it is to be driven out, chased as a monster. She would have given anything for a place like this, then.

"Though I wonder what more the school could do, that it does not."

Havok has posed:
"Agreed." notes Alex to Wanda's assessment of her father's and Xavier's notions of how the world should be and how askew they both are. Alex lets the topic settle and process more in his brain while he takes more water from the bottle and finishes it completely. "And Genosha is a great option for a mutant haven.", he adds to the notes about mutants coming here to live then says, "But it's still not their home or familiar enough in some regards. Sometmes people just want to be in a place that they know. Regardless of being oppressed by others."

Polaris has posed:
"It's not a perfect solution, but it's something." Lorna murmurs and looks for a robot or someone to fetch water for the three. When she returns to sitting she studies Wanda floating and gestures at the wall, drawing a part out to form a delicate looking seat for her sister. "Coulda said." She mutters to her and looks to Alex. "So, working for dear old dad, dare I ask?"

Scarlet Witch has posed:
"Indeed. It is a kindness to have a place of sanctuary, but still a hardship to be denied one's true home, or a choice or preference in the matter," Wanda agrees without much hesitation. "To be welcome in exile, is still exile. Though I think we may be closer to a time of... at least some sort of resignation to the reality of our people, if not wholesale acceptance. And Charles does deserve some credit in it, as does every other effort at promoting a better image." Perhaps she implies her own choice in this: the Avengers do benefit from a popular position in the public consciousness.

"Oh, it's alright," she tells Lorna, though when she goes as far as more or less building a chair beneath her, she does settle on it. "Thank you." Her sister's question also seems to echo where her own thoughts would next take her, and so her gaze merely fixes on Alex to await his answer.

Havok has posed:
"I believe so, Lorna. Just to see what is offered and where it goes. I may be clinging to the memories of that other world and the group we ran together. But I'll see if everything flows the way I think it should. If not, then I take other roads. Heck, I may even decide to start my own thing and go from there." he pauses a moment and then says, "I could reenvision the Six and recreate the agenda we had over there. But I don't know, and then there's funding."

Polaris has posed:
"Don't be afraid to make this reality your own again." Lorna tells Alex and looks at him for a moment. She looks to her sister. "He's clever, did you notice that wasn't really an answer on what he's doing. He ran with dad in another reality, he's cannier than the pretty face suggests. More's the pity." Her tone wry.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
"Canny, or uncertain," Wanda allows, a little more generously. "If I've learned much of anything, it is that certainty is a dubious thing, readily undermined. We always have a myriad of paths before us, at every moment." Little Ms. Chaos Incarnate, of course, makes no effort at locking Alex into much of anything, answer or intention. "Do not be afraid to allow yourself options, to take opportunities to choose differently and find your path amidst it all. I shall be here for a few days, I think, Alex, as I would like to spend some time with family before leaping into any more serious responsibilities or missions my team may have on hand. Make yourself comfortable. Wander. Think. And I shall be here to talk to, as much as my father. I don't mean to turn you from him, just to offer you a breadth of perspectives. Our lives so often mean growing up without support; we should redouble our efforts in giving it, when we can."

Havok has posed:
"Thanks Wanda. I appreciate the gesture.", Alex states as he sits up from the chair and then stands. He takes a moment while his head catches up with his body. He puts his hand on a nearby table just to offer steadiness. Then looks to the two, Lorna then Wanda. "You're both right about my hesitation and waffling. It's really not a matter of fear of fitting back into this reality. It's more just being used to the other one and not really finding my niche as I had over there. So I'm fishing for answers while I move from space to space. Answers in myself as well as the environment. But... I'm not really feeling quite up to speed because of last night, so I think I'm gonna go lay down. I'll try and catch up tonight or tomorrow."

Alex then begins to move away, back the way he came and departs with soft movements.
