Not quite Zoro
Date of Scene: 10 September 2017
Location: Unknown
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Black Knight, Mariah

Black Knight has posed:
He's not quite Zoro. Zoro is all swarthy and wields a fencing weapon and whip. This guy is wearing black armour and noe of his weapons appears to be a fencing sword. Strider beats the heck out of 'Toronado' though. There is a ruckus in the alley way. The Black Knight is at work.
Garbage cans scatter and clatter as the armour clad Avenger tosses a swarthy lad into them. "Look." His low baritone voice growls. "Just tell me who you delivered the blood to, and I will let you go." His tone is agreeable, almost regretful. "I know its for a couple of vampires. I know they are horrible in the community, and I know that I can solve the problem. You stole the blood from the blood bank. Now." He picks the young man up. "Help me to help you. The way I see it, you are just the delivery boy." He pauses as he sees two bite marks on the kid's neck. "By the veil. Yu little shi--"
WHAM! The black knight gets knocked into the other garbage cans, the lids scattering and one of them deforming around the armored impact. "--it!"

Mariah has posed:
Mariah, minding her own [censored] business, hears what sounds like fighting in an alleyway across the street from her.

She looks at the stuffed arepa wrapped in napkins in one hand, and then to the alleyway. She shrugs, and takes a bite out of the fresh hot food, stuffs the unopened bottle of Colombiana into the pocket of her jacket, and crosses the street to find out what's making all the noise.

Black Knight has posed:
The vampire's facial features contort, revealing extended fangs. Red gleaming eyes narrow and the former errand boy gives a feral hiss. The figure throws a garbage can at the Black Knight, but there is a hissing torrent of golden white light ignites and hacks the thrown garbage can into two perfect pieces as the knight gets up. "See. Now you die." His voice is steady, calm, and resolved. The baritone is almost sad. The two figures begin to warily circle, the blade giving a low, ominous hum as it moves, kept in guard position as the two figures warily circle.

Mariah has posed:
Mariah is across the street now, at the edge of a brownstone building, munching on her dinner, while trying to peek around the corner. She hears 'now you die' and is immediately intrigued, eyes falling on Dane and what looks like a couple of kids.

So... some dude in armor and hissing creepy juveniles fighting in an alleyway. Yep. Pretty much New York. She takes another bite of the arepa and keeps observing for the moment.

Black Knight has posed:
The Vampire picks up a garbage can lid and heaves it at the knight. he then takes off at a lightning fast sprint towards mariah, thinking she is just a hopeless hostage. His footfalls are fast and light, but he moves inhumanly fast. The garbage can lid gets cloven in twain with a casual gesture. The knight takes after the vampire, but he is only human.

Mariah has posed:
A golden spike erupts out of the back of the vampire before he even gets close enough to Mariah to touch her. The gold becomes fluid, splitting into tendrils and wrapping around arms and legs, as the vampire lifts off the ground, bound by pure gold punctured through the lungs.

Mariah stands there impassively, chewing and swallowing the last bit of food she'd bitten into, looking up at the suspended creature, then glancing down to the knight. "Qu'ubo, chamo," she greets with a friendly tone. "You fight the undead here often?"

Black Knight has posed:
The Black Knight shakes his head. "Not as much as I should." he admits. His gaze sweeps over her once. Then a second time, because holy cow. "Are you well, umm, miss?" The vampire snarls something foul. The knight simply takes the lightsaber and with a swivel of his hips and an arm extension, there is a decapitated vampire. It slowly turns to ash and falls away. The knight softly swears. "They are getting bold. Are you well, miss? Did he get a hold of you?"

Mariah has posed:
Mariah smirks. "Yeah, I'm fine," she explains. "I heard you fighting, came to see what was going on. Looks like I came at the right time, si?" She chuckles softly, and takes another bite of the arepa, finishing it off, wiping her hands and mouth with the un-greasy napkins; the remains of the vampire slip through the coils of gold floating in the air. The gold, in liquid form, slithers down into a ball on the ground near Mariah's feet.

Black Knight has posed:
"Shiny." The knight quips. "You are certain he did not touch you?" He seems concerned. His eyes sweep over the golden ball and over her. And while before it was 'great guns she is attractive', this is a more measured eyeball. "I am glad you are unharmed, and I thank you for the help."
He pauses for a moment. "Not your first vampire? Do you know anything about the local vampires?"

Mariah has posed:
"Pretty sure I wasn't touched," Mariah replies, tossing the wadded napkins into one of the half-turned-over trash cans. When he thanks her for help, she shrugs her shoulders with a little smile. "De nada. No, I don't hunt vampires or anything, but I ran into a chupacabra once. Slavers more."

Black Knight has posed:
"Chupacabra can be nasty. They get big sometimes." The Black Knight agrees. "I could show you a bite mark." he admits. He leans down and searches the clothes for any paperwork. "Nifty trick with the gold."

Mariah has posed:
"It's what I do. It's why I don't stay in one place too long," Mariah explains. "Now that you've seen this? I probably better leave the area. Which sucks, I like the food. Home cooking is hard to come by in this country." She takes the bottle of soda out, twisting off the top, and taking a drink.

Black Knight has posed:
"Why? As far as I am concerned, you were never here?" The Knight offers. "Or you were here. That is up to you. You just helped me out. Why would I seek to make your life more diifficult. He finds nothing and eases himself back up. "I am disinclined to make your life difficult. In fact more the other way. What can I do to help?"

Mariah has posed:
"Eliminate greed from the populace," Mariah replies with a little laugh. "People see that I make gold, they get the green eyes, si?" The gold extends tendrils and slithers up her leg and back and pours itself into the backpack hanging there. "So. Do you always run around in armor? I bet that gets a lot of attention."

Black Knight has posed:
"Not always. Just wenh a misstep might result in me becoming an agent of darkness and a bloodsucking soulless monster." he offers his hand. "Black Knight." His hand shake, should she accept is a warm, firm thing. His grin is warm. "I cannot eliminate greed, but I can say I never saw any gold?" It is that simple to him.

Mariah has posed:
Mariah takes the hand and shakes it. "Black Knight? Wouldn't that make you evil?" she question.

Black Knight has posed:
"Not so much." Black Knight replies with a wide smile. "I am a ... " He shakes his head. "I would bore you. Do you have a code name or shall I just call you the gorgeous woman who helped in my memoirs?"

Mariah has posed:
"If you ask around Jackson Heights for Gold Rush, you can find me. Or you can call me Mariah, since I'm right here," she offers. "So. You gonna stand here around the trash all night, or you goin' somewhere, chamo?" she asks, taking another drink of her soda.

Black Knight has posed:
"I can do that. Mariah." Black Knight agrees quietly. His shoulders shrug. "I was going to summon my horse, go home, have a drink, do some reading. Why?"

Mariah has posed:
"Ah. Didn't know if you're like me, on the run," she asks. "Was gonna offer you a place to hide if you needed it," she explains. She finishes the soda, tossing that into the trash can as well. "I try to help whenever I can, you know?"

Black Knight has posed:
"On the run from slavers and other green-eyed folks because you are the golden goose." Black Knight says quietly. "You've been caught in the past, I am going to guess?" He tilts his head to the side.

Mariah has posed:
"Four years in a wooden cage or a tiger pit. My parents and little brother were killed and our house burned, all for me and for the gold I make." The story is kept brief, but there's a hardness in Mariah's golden eyes as she tells it. "I escaped on my own power. No one's gonna save you in the jungle."

Black Knight has posed:
'Sorry does not cover it." Black Knight agrees quietly. He clears his throat. "But it is all I have to say." he admits gently, but he sounds sincere. "I hate to say that. It rings so hollow. I am glad you escaped, but being alone? Aye, it... really suucks." His head nonds dently. JHis dark eyes are sad.

Mariah has posed:
"You get used to it." Mariah shrugs her shoulders and spreads her hands with just a little smile, what can you do? She turns and starts back out of the alley. "Well, I dunno about you chamo but I ain't gonna stand around trash all day. You might as well get out before you start to stink." She laughs.

Black Knight has posed:
"You have a point." he whiispers a word, and a gorgeous white winged stallion appears next to hm. The stallion lowwers his head for the knight to rub his velvet-soft muzzle. He pauses. "Want a ride?" he asks.

Mariah has posed:
Mariah looks over her shoulder. A horse? ... A winged horse. Well. That's different to say the least. "To where? I don't know how to ride a horse. Let alone one that looks like his father was a chicken."

Black Knight has posed:
The horse gives a little kinda miffed little snort. Black Knight offers her a hand. "Wherever here in Manhattan? And I can fly. He is hardly a chicken. He is Strider, and he is magnificent." The horse gives a little whicker.

Mariah has posed:
"I'm not too far from home, and I'm pretty sure the landlord would be pissed off if there was a horse in the hallway," Mariah laughs. "It's a dump. I'd be embarassed to have you in it. But thank you."

Black Knight has posed:
"Well. Maybe I will see you around, Mariah." he says finally. "I could use someone who knows the neighborhood. I stick out like a sore thumb no matter what." His helmet dips. "I just want to help. I know you likely here that a lot, but seems to me like they moved into this neighborhood to prey on people who have no recourse and no protection. That means they need someone. I am someone."

Mariah has posed:
"Then we'll run into each other for sure, Black Knight," Mariah says, a mysterious smile on her lips. "Just go to the Little Colombia, Jackson Heights. Tell them the golden goose has laid an egg for you. They'll tell you where to find me, and I'll give you a hand with protecting the weak. That sound good?"

Black Knight has posed:
"Okay." Black Knight decides quietly. "We can do it that way. On the flip side, if you need me. Avengers Mansion. Ask for the Black Knight, or Thor. If its Thor, tell him the Black Knight sent you and that he said to mention Brunnhilde. They will know you met me."

Mariah has posed:
"Will do. If I find anything big enough to warrant that kind of attention, I'll come find you, si?" Mariah beams.
