Tigra has posed:
Stay away from the park. That's what the murmurs said. It's dangerous in there. That's the rumor. Something about Poison Ivy being back in Gotham, up to no good.

Tigra wasn't near Saint Mary's Park to investigate that, but she did end up in the neighborhood while looking up a few good places to eat while investigating a lead of some kind, though the trail has been cold on that front. Now, on the outskirts of the park itself, she frowns at...something. A feeling. It must just be one of those things.

That's when she hears someone say it: "Cheetah!"

She turns to find someone pointing at her, looking ready to run. "No, you dummy. I'm a tiger. Cheetahs have spots. Tigers have stripes. Sheesh. Didn't you learn anything in school?" Hands go to her hips. Tigra disapproves.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
A black sport motorcycle pulled up to the edge of the park not far from where Tigra just had this encounter. Its rider, was a helmetless woman with all black on, her long leather coat was fluttering behind her as the bike came to settle to a stop. Selene satup on her bike, straddling it while pulling her gloves off of her hands and tucking them into a pocket inside of her coat.

She started to scan the area with her bright pale blue eyes... until she heard the person's shout about a 'cheetah' which made her look in Tigra's direction. Selene stared a moment... curious by this... was that woman in costume? Or was she a mutant openly walking around risking the ridicule of others? Though, hell, as attractive as she was, she was probably quite alright with whomever approched her.

Selene went to dismount her bike and then reach for her phone out of her black leather jacket's pocket to thumb through the text's she'd received while driving here...

Tigra has posed:
"Oh, and the name's Tigra!" the striped feline calls after the man, who's decided he's going to leave in a hurry regardless of whether she's a tiger, a cheetah, a lion, or a Maine coon.

With a huff, she shakes her head. "Whatever. Now where's that..oh, well. Hello there." She's come to spot Selene getting off the motorcycle, which she'd easily heard getting closer, and the tip of her tail sways slowly side to side. "You trying to blend in with the night or something?" The attire draws a gesture.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene's eyes were still down on her phone when the Tigress walked up to her, but she had her senses going to watch the area all around her. A small smile touched her pale lips when she heard the question. Selene's light blue eyes looked up at the tigress. "Something like that, Tigra." She said in her huskied non-American accented voice. "What, you don't like it?" She then asked further before giving a look down at herself... her right hand going to rest against her leather corset over her taught stomach.

"I thought I looked rather dapper... Perhaps I should've worn something more... simplistic, like a 'Spongebob' shirt." She glanced back up at Tigra and just smirked, Selene was just joking with the stranger idly while she waited for return text from her Lieutenants.

Tigra has posed:
Tigra muses, after looking the woman up and down slowly, as if measuring her up, "Oh, it looks good..on you." It's said respectfully enough, but there's a hint of a 'but' in there, depending on how the words are heard.

"And somehow I have trouble picturing you in a Spongebob shirt. That just seems way too different. But! You got my name. What's yours?" the cat-woman questions, head tilting toward one side in a generally curious way as she subtly sniffs out a scent or two.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Again the Vampire war leader looked down at herself... her jacket would open up a little bit in the breezes and the weapons inside it would likely be visible to Tigra's well adjusted eyes in the dark, she had knives sewn into the interior lining and she had guns strapped to her hips over the smooth reflective material that encased them.

"Well I will take that as an assured compliment." She said to Tigra with a slight smile while looking back up to the tigress. "Selene, is the name."

Her phone would buzz again and it would draw her attention once more to it as she was forced to tap about on the screen to respond to whomever was messaging her.

Tigra has posed:
Tigra doesn't appear to have a phone anywhere on her..person..unless she's very good at hiding one. A brow does shift upward slowly and she points out, "Well, Selene, someone's packing quite a bit of heat. Expecting trouble, or do you always go around with a mini arsenal hidden on you?"

When the phone is quiet for only a few seconds before it's vibrating once more, the cat-woman's more cheerful nature dips into something that hints more at mild annoyance. "But it looks like you're pretty busy tapping away. Don't let me be a distraction. It must be important." There's an emphasis on the last word, as if she's miffed the phone is drawing more attention than she is! See the tail lash a couple times?

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene responded to the text and she could tell the stranger was annoyed by it, but hey... she didn't ask the stranger to walk up to her, did she?

"I'm horribly sorry." She told the woman and looked back at her. "Yes. I'm a trained assassin." She bluntly told her. "I only kill those who are criminal and murderous. So fear not. Yes, I'm still breaking the laws of this land, and for that I apologize. But I do my job with an extra effort of efficency and ensuring that the public... such as yourself, do not come under any harm."

Selene would exhale softly and then cast her eyes around their shared area.

"What is the name of this park?" Selene asked, as though what she'd just previously said was nothing 'big' at all.

Tigra has posed:
Tigra's doing quite the job of studying Selene by now, phone put away or not. The apologies for both the distraction and the explanation of what she does earns a rather skeptical look from the tigress, who crosses her arms in either disapproval or just as a general stance she now takes.

"An assassin, huh? And what gives you the right to decide who gets to live or die, to skip the justice system? Even killers deserve a fair trial so they can be judged and sentenced instead of someone going around playing vigilante taking it into her own hands."

Tigra goes further in asking, "Have you ever killed someone based on incorrect information?" She shrugs at the question of the park's name, glancing around. "And I don't know. I missed any signs."

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene mostly expected this sort of answer from the tigress. It was the common sort of answer from someone who had a conversational where-with-all like this one seemed to possession. Last week, Selene had told nearly that identical job description to a homeless man high on marijuana... and all he replied with was a nod of his head and a stern 'fuck yeah' then promptly went back to his joint-smoking.

Selene softly smirked at Tigra and then suddenly lifted her hand, holding a strange looking bullet between her fingers. "I don't assassinate people." She told the woman. "That would be wrong." She turned the bullet around in her pale fingertips. "I kill monsters. the kind of monsters that break into people's homes and eat the faces off of the home owners, the bellies of their children. I assassinate those which stalk the innocents you're display worry over. With these." She glanced at the large calibur bullet.

"Silver, as I imagine you can garner." Selene would lower the single round back down and into a coat pocket. "Do you feel such a beast would have any care for a 'justice system'?" She asked then, tilting her head to the right a little as she stared at Tigra with open curiosity now.

Tigra has posed:
Of course it's the kind of response from someone who believes in following a certain process, but Tigra's mouth shifts into a thin line at Selene's response and justification, eyeing the silver bullet even before its composition is explained to her. "So let me guess. This is some kind of werewolf thing, huh? Silver bullets? Full moons? All that stuff?"

She'd scoff...but how she came to be isn't exactly normal either. "Why are you here, then? Are there werewolves in the park? In all that overgrowth?"

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene slowly nodded her head to the woman's words and questions... she kept her gaze deadlocked onto the tigress' own as well.

At the qeustion about werewolves i nthe park, Selene slowly nodded her head again. "Yes." She said back to her. "This is St. Mary's Park. A small child was killed her last night, she had her stomach torn open by a beast matching the description of one that I've been searching for for some time. You see... these aren't your average American Werewolves... As I am not your average American... Vampire." Selene paused to let that sink in for this woman.

"I'm here, from a very far away place, hunting those that would flee from my people... after years of them trying to exterminate us. We've come to finish the job."

Selene tipped her chin toward the night time darkened park. "I'm here, now, to investigate the crime committed here, in this city... that I am told... has lackluster law enforcement... Who leave, quite a lot to be desired."

Selene's eyes went back to the Tigress, after having explained all of this for no real reason other than Selene found it beneficial to be open with civilians in the past.

Tigra has posed:
"Yeah? Well, as bad as that is, I heard some kind of plant lady has taken over the place, so I don't know what the truth is and I'm not that interested in finding out," Tigra explains, gesturing over a shoulder with a thumb in the direction of all the growth. "And if she's who I think she is, I met her once and I don't think she'd put up with some big mutt trying to move in on her territory."

Then she puts her hands up as if to wash them of the situation, possibly looking at the woman anew with the mention of being a vampire. "Definitely not getting in the middle of /that/ fight, sorry. I do investigations, but that's a bit beyond my level and, after all, you're the one with the silver."

Cowardly? Not really. Just careful and cautious, and vampire/werewolf issues really aren't something she wants to be stuck in between. "But you don't go around sucking the blood from innocent people, I'm guessing? What's the story on /that?/"

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene's bright blue eyes looked back to the park and at the vegetation. "Seems fine to me... quiet even." She noted about the park. "Perhaps whomever you speak of has moved on."

With a soft sigh, she looked back to Tigra and heard the last question there. "My people are quite wealth, a product of being around for a great deal many years. We synthesize our blood and mostly stay within our own home. We do not care to mingle with the rest of mankind and never have. We're an isolationist society... but fear not, most of my family remains over-seas. Only a handful of us are here, now."

Selene glanced down at herself again and shifted her phone from her hand to her pouch inside her jacket. "And I'm not asking for your help in this, in fact, I suggest you certainly do not participate. The less you associate with my kind the better it is for you."

Tigra has posed:
"You can be the one to find that out. Just keep that phone handy in case you bite off more than you can chew." That Tigra, such a comedian!

The explanation about the blood, as sensible as it sounds compared to getting it from the more traditional ways a vampire might, still leaves her shaking her head slowly. "I guess that beats the alternative, but..again, this is beyond me. I know which fights to leave to others, and this sounds like one of them. You can have a good luck wish from me in case it helps, though." Sounds like she's more than willing to take that advice given.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene would show a very faint smile of amusement at the tigress woman. "Thank you, Tigra." She told her before she started to move away from the woman and toward the park. "Fear not, I have help coming."

Selene would start to walk toward the park, with her long coat flowing so elegantly and lovely behind her legs. "Should we ever cross paths again, I'll tell you all about it." She said back over her shoulder before pushing the iron gate open and moving inside the park grounds.
