A bizzar Day
Date of Scene: 17 September 2017
Location: Unknown
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Bizarro, Crusader, Rogue, Darcy Lewis

Bizarro has posed:
Information is power. Always has been. A keen mind is a short step away from the most valuable and powerful thing in the world. Someone who knows what they're doing. All of the many places of corporate might are dotted in and around the area. And as money can get you far... all of those towers do sub-let to other valued customers. So a lot of knowledge all stored in one place.

A very public place. You can't just sneak in and grab all those valuable secrets. Too many people and eyes, electric or otherwise, will see. Unless... you had a distraction. Maybe a distraction and a half. The slice of blades through the air heralds the one a group of independants selected for the task.

Cables snap and dropped from a height but a massive haulage 'copter is the main event of the day. A tank. Probably procured from those little wars around the world. Made all the cheaper with all those freaky powers flying around. The cannon begins todays percussion, hitting buildings so far, taking a little care to avoid civilian casualties... but for how long that remains is unseen.

Like, for the moment, a team of masked figures entering one of the buildings via a fire escape. And a certain something, or someone, up in the sky...

Crusader has posed:
Well there goes the day off to buy and eat chocolate to a metaphorical hearts content. The armored Crusader was in line to buy some chocolate covered nuts from a vendor on the sidewalk. He didn't mind mingling with Civilians.
What he did mind was a tank shooting buildings with innocent lives inside! He didn't notice the masked figure entering a building as the tank was far to prominate.
But none the less when another shell goes fireing off from the cannon, Crusader leaps up taking a direct hit. It sends him flying back and into the intended building, but the damage is significantly less. He clammers to the hole in the wall smoking hot and missing a chunk of his chest that seems to simply fill back in "For the love of Juthuum." that hurt like hell. He quickly looks launches himself towards where the tank shot was comming from

Rogue has posed:
Rogue was out today getting some stuff ready for school tomorrow. She was attending NYU and needed to pick up some more supplies so she was out and about in the city today. With a messenger bag slung over her torso the young woman walks about, oblivious of any impending dangers. Tanktop, blue jeans, leather boots and that bracelet that Hank made for her that kept her powers in-check for a limited handful of hours... it was perfect for shopping trips that Rogue didn't have to worry about killing people who might bump against her bare arms.

Rogue was quite a ways down the street from the tank when the first blast echoed through the city, but... like everyone else, her gaze turned in that direction and she looked down the street from behind a dark pair of sunglasses... trying to figure out what the hell was that?

Darcy Lewis has posed:
It was her day off from work. Darcy was just out for a skate along the city sidewalks, earbuds in her ears, phone tucked into a pocket. It really was a gorgeous day for it. Right up until someone decided it was time for some explosions.

Dammit, Michael Bay.

The off-duty office admin SHIELD agent started at eth loud bang that overrode her music as the tank's mortal slammed into the side of hte building several stories above her head. Her greene yes trailed up in time to see the rubble starting to rain down. She had already spotted the mom with the twin toddlers just in front of her. She had been about to make a course correction to roll out of their way.

Darcy course corrects. That's for sure.

But now it's a path to take her directly at the family, for mom grabs one twin and is trying for the other.

Darcy beats her to it. Twin scooped up, the SHIELD agent lets momentum drag her down to her protective gear covered knees, arms wrapping the child against her stomach and chest. Her head curls down around the toddler as Darcy skids on her knees, body twisting last heartbeat so her back slams into the trashbin set out on the sidewalk by the building's door.

A thick chunk of 'was-once-a-wall' lands right where second twin was standing. The mom staggering back and away with the first child in her arms.

Second mortal sounds off. Another shower of dust, but this time the hail of masonry is lacking. Darcy looks up at Crusader rockets off the building and toward the source of the booms. She sets the child on his feet and gives a tiny push to send him to his mother.

"Get clear," she tells the mom. One hand yanks the earbuds from her ears as she pushes up to her wheels. Time to get into the building and try to see who needs an evac.

I swear to Jesus, my life is a repeated of a movie's deleted scene. This is one big pet store.

Bizarro has posed:
The team with the tank are well trained. So the presence of a heavily armored super regenreating in front of them is hardly missed upon them. Or the fact they missed at missing anyone. Draw attention. Do not engage. Those were the orders. Orders have to be obeyed. Or you don't get paid.

...but they are a well trained crew. So, the barell of the cannon rotates, aiming to stop one hundred and eighty degrees away from the identified hero and fire again. Since that's a far slower process than most may realise... there's time to do something about that.

Still strangely out of the line of fire is that... was that. Was a fire escape door, blown open with the ordinance covering the C4's detonation. A three strong team head into a set off offices sublet on that floor and head for what looks like a large server room. Or it could be to make coffee. Who can really tell these days anyway?

Above in the sky... It's not a bird. It's not a plane. In no twisted stretch of the imagination could it ever be Superman. It would be a mistake to mistake one for the other. A pale not to the same scale bulk lands by the turning cannon, promptly ignoring it and the monster of a man heads straight towards a tree. Climbing it with surprising care he extends one massive hand into the foliage.

A moment later the hand returns with a small kitten trying it's very best to eviscerate the hand that grabbed it so unceremoniously. Eyes look at the kitten simply. He speaks. "Me Bizarro. You claw me more now. Me here to make it worse." Everyone, please, get your reverse context translators from the foyer. "While me here. You not come to harm." Okay. The odd one makes it out the right way around.

Crusader has posed:
Crusader soon enough makes it to the tank and grabs the Barrel of the cannon! And likewise does what any sane person would you, he rips it off the tank itself and tosses just to the side since civilians are likely to avoid a live tank

Of course the appearance of Bizzaro gingerly climbing into a tree, when he can fly makes him take a double take. More so seeing the kitten....and how the not-superman talks to it.

Should he go over, probably. But fireing tank is a bit more important than a bizzar superman thing? He is not even sure at this point. Regardless he looks around at the people with the tank "One does not suppose your going to make this easy and just sit down?" he asks. He may as well give them a chance.

Rogue has posed:
Well. Yeah. It was carnage. Rogue could see it up the street, explosions of some kind. "Oh for fuck's sake." She muttered, lifting her hand up to grab her sunglasses off of her face. She did a quick look around her immediate area... then pulled the power-canceling bracelet off of her left wrist, slipped it and her shades into her messenger bag and then suddenly shot up into the sky so quickly that few around her even noticed.

Rogue landed atop the building tha thad been on her right, she sat her messenger bag of belongings down on the roof and then started to run across said roof, leaping effortlessly to the next and then the next.

Arriving at the scene's general location, Rogue placed her hands onto the ledge of the building... and watched... her white/brown hair blowing freely about her head in the winds. She didn't want to get involved... she was sure other super-powered people would show up... Rogue didn't consider herself a 'hero' like so many others waved the flag so proudly.

So the teenager just anxiously looked, trying to see who all was coming to stop this. Darcy appeared to be a civilian like all the others that were rushing about... She saw a glimpse of Crusader but didn't know who he was... surely there'd be more than that though.

Was that Superman? If so, then she felt a huge sense of relief...

Darcy Lewis has posed:
Mother and twins rushing away and tank rounds no longer incoming, Darcy can't get into the building since people are starting to run out of the doors she would have used to get in all on their own. She is unaware of those people getting into the building via fire escape. Thus, still concerned about people inside, Darcy stops someone to ask, and when she gets an adrenaline-fueled stammer of a response, she finally just shoulders her way in while using her phone to call into work.

Time to report that she's in a potential combat zone and she needs hazard pay, dammit.

In the building and knowing that the mortal hit the building sevral floors up, Darcy sprints (on wheels) toward the stair well.

What? Roller skates have toe stops. Darcy is perfectly capable of running up stairs on the rubber of her toe stops.

Safety regulations state not the take the elevator in situations like this.

Bizarro has posed:
"Secondaries! Now!" One of the men inside quickly cries having quickly realised he'd been demoted from tank commander to convertable driver by Crusader. A flickering glow of energy indicates that some upgrades have been installed since the days of who has the biggest guns wins. The forcefield is quite a good one. Certainly good enough to hold of the strongest of assualts for a while. Until the generatror powering it wears off.

However, safety isn't the same as a met objective so behind their shield the crew kick the ex-tank into high gear taking Crusader for a ride towards and other building. Again. Not built for speed but, once the bulky machine reaches the intended brick wall it'ss pack a punch. Not to mention a certain cer's aiming for a certain load bearing bean in a certain building they're driving at...

Meanwhile plenty of things are on the up. Like a crew bailing out of the roof access of an otherwise untouched building, armored suitcases and assault weaponry to hand. One breaks protocol and looks briefly at their wrist. Maybe their lift is running late.

What's going down is Bizarro, kitten still in murderous tow, however it now is just playing happily as it's worked out it can't really hurt him. Looking at the kitten and then to the scenes of distraction then back to the kitten he patiently asks, "Where not home? You have collar. You need danger whil me wreck day."

Crusader has posed:
Crusader sighs deeply "Why do they never make it easy" he grumbles. Forcefield were a particularly tough problem - he might be a cyberpath, but he is not an experinced one. Trying to just turn one off is an impossibility at the moment, so he results to good old punching

He bring back a guantleted fist and pounds it into the forcefield...and when it dosn't give the first time, he pounds several more times in quick succession. Well at least they didn't go cheap on the forcefields.

But that ment they were getting all the closer to the building. He goes for the next best thing. He hops off onto the side of the tank. With most tans weighing more than 50-tons he can't exactly go throwing it, but the next best thing is to tilt it!

Forget cow tipping, were tank tipping! Crusader reaches down and crunches his fingers into the bottom of the tank and begins to lift with obviouse strained effort. But hopefully that be enough to tip the tank fully onto it side and stop its advance.

Meanwhile he does call out towards Bizzaro "Man with Kitten, while One respect protecting animals...a bit of help here would be appreciated" he hasn't seen Rogue yet and isn't close enough to Darcy to say anything for fairly obviouse reasons

Rogue has posed:
'Superman was clearly drunk.' Is what Rogue had settled on in belief after watching him play with the Kitten.

As such, it was Go Time and the young teenager just sighed with heavy intent. "Professory wouldn't like seein' me doin' this..." She quietly muttered...

Rogue had gone beneath the water tower ontop of the building she'd been on. She had... as gracefully as possible lifted the tower up into the air and started to fly over to where the tank was located with Crusader and its forcefield protection... Rogue knew she couldn't get through that forcefield or she COULD throw the tank... So instead, with hundreds of gallons of water over her head (some of it raining down out of the now broken tower...

Rogue spies the men with guns and brief cases and she hovers right overtop of them.

"Ya'll need t'just enjoy one more swim before summe'ahs ove'ah."

And with that, the southern girl drops the massive wooden water tank down ontop of the men, letting it smash open on the ground between them and pour its contents out in all directions!

Darcy Lewis has posed:
Darcy pauses a moment, leaning one hand against the door to the third floor stair entrance.

Stairs; my arch-nemsis!

Darcy yanks the door open and rolls out into the hallway, determined NOT to let Panda-Asthma win this day. She's quick to try to find the first people needing assistance, getting them clear and herded toward the very same stairs she just emerged from.

Do NOT use the elevators, morons!

Bizarro has posed:
It was just not the tank team's day. Visible signs of fear and one member doing something they haven't done since they were a kid in a bed were the immediate result of the hammerblows that came from Crusader's fists. Rocking back and forth once... twice... then giving in to the appliance of science. The half-a-tank goes from horizontal to perpendicular. It's tracks spinning uselessly as the massive side skirts are now the only traction the thing has with the floor. Crew bailing moments later they take another look at Crusader and decide, as one, they might have been able to hide but they can't run. So they assume the position on the ground for whoever to do whatever. They're busted.

Up on the roof people are even more quickly washed out. In more ways than one. The cases full of stolen information are armored to prevent stray shots damaging the goods. No one ever said about making them waterproofed. All that stolen data never even made the light of day. If that wasn't enough someone's spirits are dampened even further as, unlike their colleagues they can't swim. Or surf. Or, as they fall over the edge... fly.

Bizarro shakes his oversized neck and holds the kitten, redetermined efforts at violence and all, up by way of explaination. "Life. Life. Innocent. Innocent. Not matter who." Then he's a blur along the ground. Into the air. Catching the fallen thief, and a large unexpected shower to boot. Landing slowly, the water turning to steam, feline companion ironically unaffected, Bizarro hoists the figure in his unscratched hand upward and stares at him.

"Stay. Me dare. You wear mask for going golf? Yes?" A glow comes from the mixed up man's eyes and, a moment there's a flash of blue light. One criminal. On ice. Stuck to a wall. See? Helping. The kitten stares at the relflective surface of the ice, clwas it experimentally then purrs, curling up in its new found friends hand.

Crusader has posed:
Crusader looks at the man who wet himself and than at everyone else as they file out of the tank and onto the ground "Well at least your making this part easy." he goes over and zip-ties the Tank-Teams hands and feet for the police. That is one thing he has managed to pick up on since using metal is just plain...cruel to them and to the police who have to get them out

He looks to the roof as a...women? (he dosn't have super sight ok!) dumps a tank of water....and down comes a single person. At least Bizzaro manages to catch them...and encase them in ice. Oh lord. He wasn't sure what to think

He actually floats over. Was this a new hero or something? He wasn't sure. He looks at the man on ice - at least his head was exposed. "Well, that is one way to catch a falling man. But....ummm you might want to thaw him out before he catches hyperthermial or frostbite for that matter" he never seen a man partially encased in ice, and doubts that is healthy for very long!

Rogue has posed:
After dropping her giant water balloon (of sorts) Rogue watched it wash the thieves away and she flew down and gathered up several of their dropped guns. She immdiately started snapping the guns into tiny pieces while tossing the pieces at the men who were still up on the roof, all water logged. She beaned a couple of them in the head with parts of their own weapons. "Stop. Being. Dick. Heads." She said while throwing parts of the guns at them... all whilst hovering in the air.

Moments later Rogue flew toward where she'd first been, the building she took the Water Tower from. She dropped back down ontop of it and placed her back up against the ledge, hoping that nobody took any pictures of her. She was mostly unaware of what else was happening, she just didn't want to be seen on the Nightly News tonight...

Darcy Lewis has posed:
With the civilians in the building cleared, Darcy foudn it safe enough to take the elevator back down to the ground floor so she could go back outside. Sure, there will still be clean up to see too, but once she gives her statement that would be that.

Flying women? Supermanesque Kitten Saviours? Armored dudes? Darcy did not see any of them whilst she was inside. Now that she's getting outside, she's not quite looking up yet. People on street to deal with after all.

Bizarro has posed:
First Bizarro looks to the man who's talking to him. Then to the sleeping kitten in his hand. Then up to the man on the wall. "Me not do that. Cops catch bad guy. Me do that. Undertaker dig hole. You want?" He looks again and half shrugs, trying not to wake the sleeping kitten. He looks back. "Okay. Me bring up." Taking a deep breath in he exhales melting and breaking the ice letting the hooded figure drop to the floor.

"Up." He states... then loses interest. Putting his hand down on the floor Bizarro looks at it 'til he catches a sneaky eye being opened. "Kitty? Hello kitty." He says nodding to the wider world. "Hello kitty." He repeats. The kitten's having none of it. For a moment the gentle giant is engaged in a battle of wits with a superior foe.

Crusader has posed:
Crusader lands and zipties the dropped mans arms and legs "One is not completly sure what your trying to say" he tells Bizzaro. Well he was getting some of it, simply bow connecting actions with words. But still he can't help but raise an eyebrow as Bizzaro tries to.....outwit a kitten.

"Alright than" he takes the now lightly torched and tied up crook to the rest of the pile, unaware that Rogue has taken out a whole sqaudren of them uptop. As it stands he was preoccupied.

Though he does see the women streak away, just in time to also notice Darcy. But for now he stays put...just in case these crooks try and do anything. He also keeps an eye on Bizarro...just to be safe.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue would stand up after feeling that she was in the clear... She started to run back across the roofs, hopping between buildings until she gathered up her messenger bag and rooted around inside of it... She pulled her sunglasses out and put them back on over her eyes.

Bag strap tossed over her head to sling it across her chest. Rogue turned to the ledge of this building down the block, glanced over and down the street... Then she turned and ran toward the alley's fire-escape and started down the building to the alley below, planning to disappear into the dark...

"Back to shopping." She quietly would tell herself.

Darcy Lewis has posed:
What. The. Water everywhere. Darcy skids her skates to a sharp stop as she spies the wet concrete. Her frown is not unlike a cat peering at a puddle. Water and bearings do not mix. She sighs lightly, assuming whatever 'super' battle thing that happened to stop the explosions, broke a water thing on a roof, and now there is water all over the place.

Speaking of supers...

Darcy finally spots Crusader and Bizarro, but fails to spot Rogue (the sneaky mutant!). Darcy plants her hands on her hips.

"Explosions all stopped now?" she quips in a tone that is unimpressed with said explosions.

Crusader has posed:
Crusader turns towards Darcy and nods "Yes the explosions are done. Not to much damaged sustained" he looks up when he says that. Well sure the hole is probably worth a few thousand dollars. But hey no lives lost is a good thing in his book. He was also scanning for Rogue, but see no such thing. But well some folks do prefer to stay out of the lime light

Bizarro has posed:
Bizarro stares at the kitten. The kitten stares back sleepily. Bizarro brings his hand off the floor still holding the bundle of fur. It has no collar. It doesn't want to go anywhere. He looks at it and carfully says, "You not my kitten?" Both eyes open followed by a possibly interested mew. Close enough. Looking back over at Crusader he explains. "People say me Bizarro talk backwards. They say up is down. Not means is. They know. Hello enemy man." He adds a friendly nod at the end and looks at the not really sleeping kitten.

"You not need name. Me not know. Kitty Olsen. That not do for now." He looks around. Bad guys have been stopped. Or are unconsious. Same thing. "Day ruined. My work start. Hello all." Intellectual conversation also done for the day he takes to the air. Slowly. As to not wake his new friend.

Well. Something happened. No harm's really done. Nothing was stolen or lives lost. The day was saved. Depending on who you really are... it's all that matters.
