Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Hawkeye (Bishop), Troia

Hawkeye (Bishop) has posed:
The storm was coming, Barda and Faora had warned. War was coming to Earth, and they were not wrong.

Boom Tubes had opened all over the planet, some of them huge. Hordes of Apokalyptian forces had poured through, but the people of Earth did not roll over and die. No, especially in the New York area the planet had defenders. A group of them had even won a small battle but the overwhelming force had passed this small bulwark by, kidnapping people for the slave pits and causing destruction as they went.

Kate Bishop had been about in the small apartment building that she had a safehouse in, making sure that the people either stayed put and barricaded themselves well in their homes or followed the evacuation plans... but sadly it was too late to escape for the most part. She was armored up as Hawkeye, kitted out as heavily as she could be, even breaking out the most powerful lethal warheads she had to fill her quiver. A few parademons had even met an explosive end when they came too near.

Now, though, she is taking a break, watching out her open window, a mug of soup in her hands. There are no lights in the room but a few candles, but luckily the sun has not yet set.

Troia has posed:
Donna Troy had been been in upstate New York for some early Changing of the Seasons type pictures when it all happened. As a result she was not only out of cell coverage she was also unaware until she was on her way home. By then it was all in full swing and cell connections were largely overwhelmed with emergency calls and those trying to already reach loved ones and friends.

Finally getting back to her own apartment only to find the power out, she was able to get the messages waiting from Kate Bishop. Frowning, she knew she should go to the Themysciran Embassy to check on Diana and help out as she could. But it could wait for a side trip.

All but instantly changing, Donna stood in her Titans of Myth attire - made from fabric that seemed made of time and space itself. The diamond like sparkling of actual stars within the fabric was mesmerizing if one took the time to ponder them.

Stepping out onto her balcony, Troia rose into the sky and flew quickly toward Kate's indicated location.

Hawkeye (Bishop) has posed:
Kate sips her soup, watching the space revealed through her window, vigilant for movement. Her bow is near to hand, an explosive arrow sitting nearby as well. A few extra arrows are clipped to her bow, a second quiver next to the window as well. "'meri, where _are_ you?" she mutters to herself.

Troia has posed:
Troia makes her way across the city, seeing the chaos. It is surreal to find much of the City That Never Sleeps blacked out. It just doesn't seem right.

Landing, she makes her way to the safe house slowly as she calls out, "Kate? It's Donna." She watches and listens cautiously.

Hawkeye (Bishop) has posed:
Kate sticks her head out of her third floor window as she hears the voice. "Donna!" she shouts down, waving to attract the other lady's attention. "Up here!" and she pushes the window opan all the way. "Come up. The doors are all barracaded!"

Troia has posed:
Troia looks up and nods. She rises up easily enough, hovering her way through the window to land lightly on the floor. "I got your messages. Are you okay?" She looks around carefully to view the room.

Hawkeye (Bishop) has posed:
Kate closes the window about halfway after Donna enters. Another moment of scanning outside and she turns again. "Am _I_ okay? What about you?" and she walks a quick circle around the other woman. Seeming satisfied she tries to wrap her arms around Donna's middle. "You are okay." she sighs. "I thought they might have taken you. I've heard they're doing that."

The apartment isn't very large, a living area with a couch, a recliner, a coffee table. The heavy couch is shoved up against the front door. There's an attached kitchenette and a little nook with a small table and three chairs, the usual appliances. A door leads to what is probably a closet, another is probably a bedroom, the last is mostly open and is obviously a bathroom. Now though, the room is a staging area: a camping cot has been set up, it's got paramedic bags sitting nearby. Against the wall is an arsenal of weapons - swords, quiversfull of arrows, a couple of rifles, a shotgun near the door, even a metal tube with a trigger on it and a few finned projectiles nearby.

Troia has posed:
Donna Troy looks to Kate, "I'm fine, Kate. I promise. I was out of the city on a project. I didn't find out about any of thise till I got back a little while ago. I need to go check on Diana and the embassy, soon so I can't stay long. But I wanted to make sure you were safe." She frowns. "Who has been taken?"

Hawkeye (Bishop) has posed:
Kate lets Donna go, then. "Of course you do." she agrees. "I'm sorry. I was just worried about you." and she rubs her forehead. "Noone that I know personally has been taken, as far as I know. But I've seen the flying monkey-insect-demon things taking figures back through their portals." She smiles grimly. "Sorry. I'm being selfish. You go to your sister, and be safe, huh? I want you back when this is all over... if this is all over."

Troia has posed:
Donna Troy shakes her head, "You have nothing to be sorry about. I came to check on you because I was worried too." She smiles and then nods more seriously. "Come with me. We can check on her and see what we can do to help. These things have to be stopped, especially if they're taking people."

Hawkeye (Bishop) has posed:
Kate reaches out to touch Donna's arm. "I would. I really would like to, but I have to wait for my friend. She'll be coming back here, I bet. I don't know.. I can't get in touch with her... but I'm sure she's fine, she's off punching things."

Kate sighs. "And if I go anywhere else, I should go to Stark Tower and see what he needs me to do. I'm supposed to be the liason between his team and the Justice League and I should be doing that now but not everything's set up yet. If this'd happened a week from now we'd be ready."

Troia has posed:
Donna Troy nods. "Alright. I will come back to check on you if I can. But I need to make contact with Diana and the Titans. If you learn anything please reach out to me, or the League. Diana will get word to me from them if needed." She moves to hug Kate again as an explosion can be heard from a few blocks away. She frowns quickly then leans to kiss Kate's cheek. "Take care of yourself, okay? I'll find you again soon."
