Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Selene (Underworld), Zatanna Zatara

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene hadn't come here to see the magic show. Entertainment like this was fine, she didn't have a problem with it... but it didn't really matter to her either. She'd arrived late after buying a ticket from someone down the block who was selling it for twice its value... she talked that person down to half its value...

Selene stood in the back of the audience and she'd spoken to a stage manager, having bought her ability to reach the backstage area after the performance was completely... So she waited and watched. The tricks that Zatanna did were indeed a spectacle of which Selene even smiled at here and there, but she was ultimately just eager for the show to end, as she had a job.

Once it had, she was well aware of the responsibilities a stage performer had after a show... so it was quite some time before Selene managed to be escorted back to the area where Zatanna was, she got quite a few looks as well since she was dressed in all black... a man even refered to her as 'Trinity' from the Matrix. Selene had heard that one before, it didn't bother her.

The Stage Manager would bring Selene to Zatanna, and even tell Zee her name and that she'd paid a hefty sum to come back here tonight to see her.

Selene's eyes were a piercing light blue, she stared with a very strict look, though she seemed calm.

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
Zatanna Zatara sits at her vanity, still largely dressed, though the tuxedo coat hung off a hanger nearby, thus leaving her uper back and arms bared till her corset took over clothing duties. Looking at her reflection in the mirror, her gaze shifted to Selene. She nodded to the manager and after he left, she set her brush down and turned, "Selene. Hello. I'm not certain if it is a pleasure to meet you or not but it is certainly interesting. Few are willing to pay that kind of money just to speak with me. You have my attention."

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene glanced over at the Manager as they stepped out of the dressing room again and she then looked back to Zatanna when the magician now regarded her.

Selene would take another step into the room then and she'd move to quietly shut the door, pausing halfway and waiting for a nod to see if it wsa okay to do so from the magician.

"I assure you, I mean for this to be a simple and enjoyable exchange." Selene said, in a voice that might surprised most people as its sultry tone and flavor was graced with a curious (mostly British) accent that hinted at many different locations from around the globe to a well trained ear.

"I only caught the last few minutes of your performance, and it was wonderful.... But. Its not why I have come to see you tonight, MIss Zatara." Selene's pale blue eyes were centered squarely on Zee's face, she had an intense presence about her, to say the least.

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
Zatanna Zatara stands, studying the dark haired woman. She can pick out a few of the accents. She was well-traveled herself. "And I can promise you it'll be nothing less. But if it is more, I suppose it depends on the topic of this simple and enjoyable exchange, mmm?" She then nods. "I'm glad you got some value out of your ticket even if it was just to bide your time to speak with me. Please" she requests with a shake of her head, "just Zatanna." Her gaze remains on Selene. "I know what you are. That itself has me curious why you'd risk coming to speak with me. So it must be serious. Or very important to you." She gestures to invite Selene farther into the room. "Do you care to sit or would you rather stand to discuss business?"

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene prefered to stand... but she also knew that that by-and-large made people feel odd or awkward in social scenarios such as this, and she needed something out of this woman, so she tried to make things more comfortable...

Selene noticed a small sofa in the room and she moved to sit down on the edge of its arm, adjusting her long leather coat to flow out beside her so that she weren't sitting on it, clearly she's quite comfortable in her interesting clothing, experienced in it one might think.

"I'm a Vampire. Yes." Selene said then in her husky voice, her pale eyes returning to the Magician's own. "I knew you'd likely take no time in figuring that out. I assure you, however, that I am not like your common American Vampire. I do not feed on people, not any longer. My coven and I have overcome the need for that, in our long history. We're new to these shores, we've... seen the ilk of Vampire you have here... They are not impressive, at all."

Selene would show a faint smile. "I've come to you with a desired request for a magical object, one that I might be able to utilize when I need it most."

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
Zatanna Zatara doesn't sit for her own part, she leans against the edge of the vanity, facing Selene's seated location. She nods. "I did. And the fact we're still talking is because I'm not the sort to summon a small supernova into the room on first sight. Some of my... peers - and I use that term loosely - are not so restrained. But I think you and I both can confidently state we know there is more to the truth than what we see at first sight." She gestures with her hand, "We also agree on the caliber of the vampires on this continent. Very few are worth the space they took up in their first lives for that matter. So.. what is it you desire Selene? A magical object that would do what?"

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene would show the lightest hint of a smile at the supernova joke. "I thank you for that, though sunlight is only... disagreeable to me. Its not deadly." She idly threw that bit of info out toward her host tonight.

At the follow-up question, Selene's right hand dipped inside of her longcoat pocket and when she shuffled the black leather around, Zatanna would likely notice the holstered twin handguns laying against the side of the woman's black leather corset, she wasn't really trying to hide them.

Selene pulled out a small vial of dark red liquid. "I want to be turned into a Lycanthrope." She said to Zatanna then, eyes still on the other woman. "A werewolf.. and more specifically..." She stood up and took a step toward Zatanna, offering the vile of blood. "A lycanthrope that comes from the breed found within this blood." Selene's right hanjd held the vial offered, palm up and pale fingers held together.

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
Zatanna Zatara might not buy that bit of information as accurate. But it can't hurt to make note of it should some unfortunate encounter occur in the future. She looks to the hand and those weapons. She still looks unconcerned. But on seeing the vial of.. yeah. She knows what that is too. But it's the statement that draws a blink of the unexpected from Zatanna. She watches, looking from the vial back to Selene. "Okay.. well I didn't see that coming. You can makr that down as a point of pride if you care" she says with a smirk as she accepts the vial. Looking at it then to Selene. "Okay. Specificity makes this a lot more complicated." She holds the middle of the vial, the upper half visible above her thumb and index fingers. "So. The million dollar question. Do you actually trust me? You're here because you know what I do is more than smoke and mirrors and parlor tricks for the kids like out there" she says with a jerk of her head toward the theater and stage. "That's still not the same as trusting me. Are you hedging your bets? Or are you here because you'll accept my answer whatever I tell you as being accurate and correct." At least insofar as her own knowledge is concerned, of course. Details.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene would remain standing there while she gauged Zatanna's reaction to her request. She'd then glance down and her hand and step back, allowing the Magician to keep the vial of blood.

Selene returned to the arm of the sofa where she took her long coat off and draped it over the sofa's arm, then sat down upon it, her leather clothing making little noises as her body inside the clenching clothing moved and adjusted.

Once seated again, Selene's hands went to her thighs and she clutched them and looked at the Magician. "I don't trust you." She told her, voice calm as ever, eyes locked on Zee's face. "But I don't 'not' trust you either." She elaborated. "I believe you are an impartial jury, so to speak... I believe you oeprate independently and with your own best interests at heart. I believe, you have a great deal of respect for your own 'brand'."

Selene glanced toward the closed changing room door. "I can wager this bet based on all the posters and artwork spread about this theater with your moniker on them."

Her pale blues came back to Zee's face. "You don't want to tarnish your name, and through that... if you took me on as a client and double crossed me... you'd tarnish your name. So... if you turn me away, then I know you're not wanting to help me. Which is perfectly fine. If you accept my offer... I believe you'll do it with a certain measure of 'trust' in at least the job."

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
Zatanna Zatara listens and nods. "All very true statements. And more astute than many. But specifically, Selene, what I am asking is that if - and I can only stress 'if' at this time - I were to need anything more than this vile's contents. How far are you prepared to go to achieve what you are asked me for. That is something you should consider while I research this tonight. I can't simply perform a spell and - poof - give you a magic dog tag that lets you change forms. If you wanted a simple illusion, I could probably do that tonight. But any with Gifted Sight would see right through it like a flashlight through a dark room. An actual transformation? That's going to take preparation. At this point I'm going to say 36 hours. It may be less and it may be more. How can I contact you once I have a better idea of what is going to be required?"

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene would gently nod her head toward the other woman. "I'm not expecting you to perform wild feats of magick when it comes to providing me with the trinket in short order. If you need a month... you'll have it, I won't question you when it comes to what you say you need to make this work. And... if I can get it for you, then I will get it for you. More blood, or otherwise."

The Vampire motioned down to her coat and she continued. "I have a phone that I will leave with you, it unlocked but it has the number to my personal device within it. You can use it to contact me whenever you have an update or a need to be fulfilled for this order."

Selene shifted gently on the sofa's edge where she was seated. "To be quite honest, I'm just thrilled that you haven't instantly ushered me out of your chamber here. Its... not a request I was expecting much traction on. An idea from a, friend, and a long line of inquiries has lead me here this evening. And it would seem to be a path worth having travelled."

A small smirk was shown then. "So far, anyway."

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
Zatanna Zatara says, "Well I'm your average bear" Zatanna quips wryly. "I learned from my father to keep an open mind - 'Open minds open more doors than closed opinions' he claimed. And usually he's been right. So. Interesting times create interesting bedfellows as it is also said. I will determine what else is needed and the process to create what you're after." She lifts her free hand and flicks the fingers, a business card appearing between the still gloved digits. "And to reach me. You can call the number on the card. If. And I stress - if - you find yourself in a tight situation where you need to get in touch with me immediately? Tear the card in half, bottom to top. It'll open a portal to a pocket dimension linked only to this card and to myself. You'll be safe and I'll know exactly where to find you and get you to someplace safe. Consider it a.. get out of jail free card. But like in golf, there's only ever one mulligan."

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene would rise up then when the card was summoned, having shown a soft smile and a little single nod at the wisdom from her father. Selene's real father had died centuries ago and the one she considered to be his replacement? He was still in hibernation... so she didn't talk about her father's that much.

Reaching out for the card, Selene accepted it, and ran her pale eyes across its front and back. "Quite handy, is an understatement. I would say." She said with a soft smirk before looking back up to Zatanna. "I'll remember that. Thank you." She told the Magician.

A moment later and she was turning back around to gather up her longcoat off the arm of the sofa. "I won't take up any more of your evening then. Thank you for listening to my request."
