Date of Scene: 19 September 2017
Location: Genosha
Synopsis: Economic talking between Havok and Polaris regarding Genoshan economy.
Cast of Characters: Havok, Polaris

Havok has posed:
Havok walks along the beach wearing hawaiian and a black muscle shirt showing off his muscular shoulders and tanned skin. His feet are bare and they sift into the soft sand with each step. The shorts he wears have cargo pockets and the right carries his cell phone. He looks at the setting sun and seems to ponder life, liberty, and stuff. Or just stuff.

Polaris has posed:
Spotting Havok on the beach from the fortress, Polaris trots down to join him. She's dressed relatively simply in dusty rose colored linen pants with wide, full legs and a plain white tee. She catches up, slipping her hands into her pockets. "How are you settling in?" The green haired woman asks after a moment. "Got everything you need?"

Havok has posed:
Hearing her approach, Havok looks around and smiles. He seems pleased to see her as his blue eyes reflect the smile of his lips. "Hey." is his initial greeting and then is followed by the answers to her questions, "It's great here and there's nothing at all I need." Then as he turns on his heel to stop and stand with her, "Speaking of, I had a question about the society here."

Polaris has posed:
"I will do my best to answer." Polaris answers as he stops and she catches her breath, sweeping her hair back from her face and smiling back at Havok warmly. Her green eyes searching over his face.

Havok has posed:
"Okay..." Havok settles in on how he wants to ask. Then he begins, "So this is a predominantely mutant island. I guess my first question is; 'Do humans share the same freedoms and benefits the mutants do?'. And he'll wait for her to answer as his hands move into his own pockets.

Polaris has posed:
Considering, Lorna takes a moment. "Yes. I cannot think of any laws that show bias one way over the other. I imagine however if a human were here that was...cruel they wouldn't find themselves terribly welcome." She looks past him to the water. "What prompted that question? Have you noticed some trouble around the island?"

Havok has posed:
Havok considers that a moment and then answers, "Not at all. But just curious if there was an intentional racial bias - or if it existed at all. Considering the inverse outside of this country. But, next question; I've found privilage here. Meaning; I've wanted for nothing. I've not seen poverty or anything overt. However, I'm asking if there is a cast system here? Do people of greater responsiblity receive more benefit? And what is the monetary system here?"

Polaris has posed:
"This isn't a utopia. My father's employed you, so you're treated well. In the township it's less so, but a lot of work has been put into building up the industry and infrastructure so everyone has a higher standard of living. Our coin is still under the dollar, but it's rising." Lorna murmurs and crosses her arms under her chest.

Havok has posed:
There's a completative moment as Havok reflects on Polaris' words. "I wonder if this form of socialism can survive a larger populace. Most socialist countries are in the tens of millions. The economy struggles when they get excessively large. And with the growing number of mutants, if more come here to seek refuge, will there be enough jobs to support the influx?"

Polaris has posed:
"We can't know that. We can keep trying to build the best possible nation we can. It's hard to say-what with mutants and their abilities being what has allowed us to be so successful thus far-perhaps we can nurture a veritable utopia with the right people and powers at play." Polaris shrugs and tilts her head to indicate they should walk, starting to move. "Right now, I'm more focused on our relation with other nations so we aren't invaded or sanctioned into total isolation by other countries."

Havok has posed:
Moving along with Polaris, Havok will keep her stride. His hands will move from their pockets and swing listfully with his steps. "I also wonder about the threat we seem to pose to the other nations of the world. Especially the States as they are always seeing threats in everything that's not them. I know I keep using these words, but, 'in the other world, we didn't have such a strong union. So I really have no perspective or guesstimate as to what will happen. Magneto over there didn't have Genosha and we were a small organization. Like the X-Men. And the 6 <his otherworld team> and the X-Men cause enough of a stink with the government as it is."

Polaris has posed:
"It's a delicate balance." Lorna nods and watches the surf. "One I try to help maintain. The X-Men are still seen as allies to the States, so I try to use my good standing to show they can have faith in the nation-a balance to my father and his deeds in the past. Which means life under a microscope. I am always on my best behavior."

Havok has posed:
Havok grins with thoughts in his head, "Just think of all the rumors I could start about your bad-girl days back at Xavier's." He's teasing. And not serious. But thinking of the fun that it could start.

Polaris has posed:
Laughing, Lorna shakes her head. "I am sure I was a total angel and alway have been." She claims airly and nudges Alex's side lightly. "Ask anyone." She smiles, relaxing for the moment. "Besides, surely you have your share of teenage mishaps-turn about is fair play."

Havok has posed:
"Oh, my teen dramas were way worse than yours. So yeah, I'll not be throwing stones or saying shit about you. Unless it's super cool stuff like, "Lorna, the princess of Genosha, is the best-est of the best." Havok grins broadly and then looks out over the water at the setting sun. He trails in the commentary, "I think this place is definitely close to a utopia."

Polaris has posed:
"Good thing I'll live as long as father-barring you know, line of duty. I should be around to ensure it stays as idyllic as possible. Perfection is a dream that leads to ruin often, but we can all live good lives if we do this smart." She murmurs and sighs, feeling that weight of wanting to ensure the lives entrusted to Magneto survive and thrive.

Havok has posed:
Havok nods, "Sounds like a great plan. Line of duty allowing." He then takes off his shirt and says, "I'm gonna go get rid of some of this energy. I'm antsy and it's getting close to that time." Havok starts walking toward the water. Where he will submerge himself and blast things where it doesn't hurt anything more than a few fish.

Polaris has posed:
Taking a moment to admire a shirtless man walking into the water, Lorna shakes her head and starts back for the Fortress and the work waiting for her there. She does take up a cheerful whistle as she goes.
