Cast of Characters: Wonder Woman, Pepper Potts

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana had been hosting a small class of children from a local school here in the museum today. She'd been their tour guide around the contents of the museum within the Hall and she'd been quite eager to enjoy their youthful energetic reactions to the artifacts and stories behind every piece of work within this part of the large facility known as the 'Hall of Justice'. Diana had thought that name to be a bit... much, but Bruce had insisted on it, since it matched his usual flare for the dramatics, she just accepted it for what it was.

Diana had briefly spoken to Pepper through e-mails and told her what her schedule would be like and when the school tour would be wrapping up. She'd been eager to meet with the woman since their last meeting with the very amusing Tony Stark.

Diana was dressed in royal blue suit jacket and skirt, a simpley outfit design, she knew that the school officials would be taking a lot of photos so she dressed to look good for the public persona.

The kids were still in the building, but they were all gathering up and preparing to head back to their bus outside, Diana wasn't far, speaking to one of the teachers.

Pepper Potts has posed:
Pepper came early, she ALWAYS came early, besides she had to oversee the moving in of some specialty equipment from Stark Labs for the lab on site that Tony requested. Because she really wasn't fullfilled in a day without seeing directly to Tony's every need, even if it didn't really have to do with the business. After being certain everything was settled in, safe, and in one piece, she made her way up to the slightly more public areas of the Halls of Justice, her high heels echoing a rhythmic clip on the floor as she approached the area.

Sharp green eyes catch sight of the woman before her, but seeing that Diana is speaking with someone else, Pepper hovers carefully on the edge of the room, trying to keep politely out of the conversation. SHe's like some strawberry blonde bird, dressed perfectly in her bespoke Armani suit, a deep charcoal gray with perfectly pleated pants. She looks sharp as a pin even if she's been up since five am.

Wonder Woman has posed:
It wasn't terribly hard to spot Diana in a crowd. She was taller than a lot of people, especially when she was wearing heels like she was now this afternoon. She stood with her hands clasped together in front of her lap while speaking to the male teacher who was actually a good five or more inches shorter than the Princess, they were having a light laugh about something being spoken-on but their exchange only lasted a moment longer before the teacher parted ways with the Princess and the gaggle of children (25 or so) started to filter out the main doors in the library, their voices all echoing around the hall much like Pepper's shoes had been.

Diana made eye contact with Pepper then and she smiled at her, her red painted lips turned upward in a pleased expression. The Themysciran ambassador made her way toward Pepper's place and extended her right hand toward her. "Virginia." She said to her. "It is great to see you again!"

Pepper Potts has posed:
Despite having spoken and exchanged with the woman more than once now, Pepper is still more than a little star-struck. She tries to swallow her heart back down her throat even as her pulse flutters up and she gives a smile which is half drowning and half wonderfully overwhelmed. "Ambassador. It... It's an honor to... See you again. I really didn't want to interrupt, you know? I thought I'd just would drop off some of the things Tony needs and since... Since I'm here..." Pepper offers with a slight flutter of her hands, finishing crossing the space between them.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana was admittedly used to this reaction, though that didn't mean she'd never learn to like it. Prior to announcing herself as 'Wonder Woman' to the world, and making herself truly a public figure amonst the super hero crowd and culture, Diana had just been treated well because of her looks and reputation amongst the antiqueties community around the globe. But now... it was that, and everything else about her once she put her secrety identity on full display.

Diana would just smile as lovely and friendly to Pepper as she possibly could. "Oh stop it." She told the woman, teasing her of course. "Diana, is all you have to refer to me as." She showed a little grin before continuing in her Greek accented English. "We are friends, yes? I have no plans on referring to you as 'Miss Potts' unless it is for official business." Diana's grin was held longer.

"Come on. Lets walk... I will show you to where we have setup Tony's workstation, should he ever actually wish to work here."

The Princess turned toward the far side of the room where more double-doors were located and started to walk in that direction.

"I swear... We need those little golf cars in this place." She jested with a small smile.

Pepper Potts has posed:
Pepper had met kings of countries and business. Queens of the stage and Europe. But Diana was something special. Still, Pepper forces herself to take a deep breath in and put on her more relaxed face, even if that is a bit of a show. Pepper simply didn't really know how to relax. "Oh, Tony plans on working here. He had me bring over some specialized things that they haven't replicated since getting the patent for. His... special tools, so to speak. So that's a good sign. We just need to get him to slow down for five minutes, and that's nearly impossible..." Pepper states with a half tsks, shaking her head.

She then falls into step next to the woman, pacing casually and easily keeping up despite Diana's longer legs and stronger stride. Pepper was used to keeping up with men. "You can call me Pepper, then, if I am calling you Diana. No one calls me Virginia, or they haven't in ages. It just... sounds strange now."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana would listen to her while they walked through the museum's large central hallway and she'd glance over at her while smiling a little here and there. "I understand entirely. It is... for me... I was called Diana for... around, eight hundred years. I did not even accept the name of Prince until I came to the world of men. So it still sounds strange to my ears some times."

Once they reached the doors, she opened one of them for Pepper to go through first. "I like the name Pepper, it is... spunky?" She didn't seem to like the word spunky too much based on the expression it summoned upon her face after she said it. "Mm... might have to find a better way to describe it... But still! Its a good name, so I shall use it with glee."

Diana would follow the other out into the main central hall of the facility itself, both of their shoes echoing off the marble floors and arched ceilings now.

"I really look forward to having his operations setup here. I feel like it will really give a sense of unity to what we have built here, and he has built in Manhattan."

Pepper Potts has posed:
Pepper keeps up easily, not even out of breath and not once asking Diana to walk any slower. It just wasn't Pepper's way. Her head held high, high heels quick and clipping, it was like she was made to walk at Diana's side. The commentary on her name draws a bit of a laugh, "I... guess. Tony has called me that forever. Since I started working with him, really... it sort of just... stuck. Now everyone calls me that and I can't think of life otherwise." If it wasn't clear her to her or Tony, it was probably achingly clear to the rest of the world just how in love the pair was.

"And he's looking forward to it too, though I think it's so he can get away from my nagging him to actually sleep and eat. So, you might see me more often, or at least hear the phone calls. That man forgets he's human if he's not reminded." Pepper states with a bit of a worried sigh.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana would continue down the main hallway until they reached a glass elevator built into an open elevator shaft that ran up to the other floors and down to the basement ones as well.

She made eye contact with the elevator call button and it dinged its acknowledgement and sent the lift down toward the two women. Diana looked back over at Pepper and grinned. "I promise you that we will not let him sit in his laboratory here until he hwas withered away. This place is... far more busy than his tower might even be. The number of... calls-to-action that the Justice League gets these days, it is sadly only on the rise. With him here in the facility, we are hoping he will join us on some of these missions. I have seen the videos of him in action, it is a lot more... graceful? Than I thought he would be. The way he flies in that 'iron' suit of his. He almost moves like a figure skater." Another grin was shown. "He probably would not like that comparison though."

When the lift arrived its glass doors opened and Diana would let Pepper step inside first before following her and staring at the floor that his lab was setup on. The elevator would pick up the look and acknowledge it.

Pepper Potts has posed:
The redhead steps smoothly into the elevator, slightly tilting her head in thanks to Diana with a faint smile, and she tries to look relaxed as she rests her hips against the edge of the lift. She lets Diana pick what floor they are going to, Pepper having nothing planned but visiting with the woman so she doesn't seem to worry about their direction. She laughs a bit at the comparison of Tony in the suit, "Well, if he has issues with it he'll just have to deal with them because it is true. He... almost dances in that suit. He's been working wiht it so long, it's natural to him as breathing now. But, god... When he first started? He was giving me a heart attack every day. We broke so many walls... so many windows..." Pepper shakes her head, half wincing in memory.

Wonder Woman has posed:
The lift would start to rise with a smooth transition and it'd play a soft cliche elevator music set to the tune of a classic song from the sixties, one of those songs that you 'get' but can't quite remember the name without the lyrics.

Diana would stand off to the other side and remain as straight postured as she ever was, hands held together in front of her thighs.

"I cannot even imagine having someone I loved suddenly tell me that they were going to strap rockets to their hands and feet and go around getting mixed up in the affairs of those with wild and absurd abilities. The fact taht he hasn't driven you into some kind of substance abuse is rather impressive toward your strength of character." That, was of course, a small joke and meant as just a light hearted commentary on the stress it must bring to Pepper.

"He has... accomplished it though, and with a fair amount of grace. Maybe not as much as his insurance company would want, but still."

When they arrived at their designated level the doors would open again.

"When are you going to make a suit of your own?" Diana asked the other, grinning some more. She was clearly in a good mood today. Spending time around happy children had that effect on the Amazonian woman.

Pepper Potts has posed:
A slightly too wide look came to Pepper's eyes, shock across her features as Diana comments about 'love'. "Oh, Tony and I aren't...were... Not really like that. I've worked for him a long time, is all, but we're not... Together, you know." Yet, Pepper cannot bring herself to say she doesn't love the man. She just does her best to make it clear where they stand because that is proper and her job. "But yes, he still sends me into a panic on a routine basis." She half chuckles tiredly.

Then the question of her own suit comes and Pepper's eyes shoot wide. She's half fluttering again, shaking her head almost immediately, "Oh! Goodness, no...no. I'm not... I mean, I just far better in the office. I'm not a super hero or... anything like you. I wouldn't know what to do in one of those suits. And Tony is very protective of them."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana would listen to that first part about her and Tony and it would make her expression soften as the two disembarked the elevator and she'd walk along side her. "Pepper, dear." Diana said in her warming voice. "You do not have to be 'together' in order to have love for someone." She offered this bit of insight into her perspective on she and Tony's relationship, but Diana was no fool... she saw the way the two interacted... They may not be in an official relationship, but they still loved one another deeply. "I saw the way he relies on you, first hand. He loves you. It is okay to embrace it. It is... good for our souls?" Another quick smile was shown to Pepper then before she moved them down the hallways toward the lab entrance.

Diana would push the lab doors open and Pepper would be greeted with a Research and Developement lab that looked almost identical to the one at Stark Tower.

"Tony did an interview last year and he showed a small snippet of the lab in it... We have tried to recreate it as best we can." Diana would step inside. "But I am sure he will want much of it changed none-the-less." She paused once inside and held her hands together in front of her stomacn, fingertips meeting fingertips.

"Perhaps he will make you your own suit here someday. And you can fly about 'pew pewing' things as well." Diana would softly laugh then and shake her head. "I apologize. I am just being silly. I am just very happy about how this has worked out so far."

Pepper Potts has posed:
A slight blush crosses her cheeks, Pepper's gaze flickering to the ground for a heartbeat or two, "I...I don't know that I'd call it love, but... well, we take care of each other. In our own ways. That's enough." Pep admits softly, not quite able to meet Diana's eyes, because if she did she probably couldn't deny it any longer. Lying to oneself was easy. Lying to Diana Prince? THat was hard.

Then they are there, on that level, and the moment the door opens Pepper's phone is ringing. SHe blinks down, looking at the number, "...the office. Shoot. I... I am sorry, Diana. I can't even get away for an evening. Feel free to look over what I moved in, see what you think...I need to take this." She murmurs apologies again, swiping the phone active and holding it up to her ear, "I'm here. WHat's going on...?" ANd she tucks herself off in a corner to handle the work at hand.
