Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Sister Reinhardt, Green Lantern (Jordan)

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
It's only been a few hours into the war, but much of the city is either smoking and the buildings have holds in the walls...or worse. People are fighting to stay alive under the onslaught of Apokalips. Others are actively fighting back.

One of the Apokalips Hover Tank rumbles down the central business district and actively fires on a few people fighting back, but it only manages to hit the side of a building...and blast the wall out, and part of the floors.

In one of those floors is Suzanne Reinhardt...who had been blasted onto a back wall as the hovertank simply makes a turn and disappears down a street....leaving the people of that street, including Suzanne....to recover....

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
Hal Jordan oversees the destruction and chaos that permeated the scene in front of him. With a shake of his head, and a slight burst of willpower, Hal hovers in the area, moving slowly forward. When the sounds of combat comes to his ears, Hal moves as fast as he could towards the area.

Too late to stop the tank, Hal hovers near the building. Using his ring to create a large, green megaphone, "Hal asks, "Is everyone okay? Does anyone need any help?"

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
So far it seems that everyone is fine, even the red head on the third flood. "ugh. Teach me to take a nap in the middle of the day." She groans as she pushes a couch off of her. "That hurt." She says before looking about. "Well...crap." And she starts to move things about in her apartment. "Uhm....can I get a bit of help here? Can't seem to find something important...."

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
Unsure what to call her in public, Hal moves forward and raises his hands to help. Not sure what he was looking for though, Hal asks, "Um. Sure. WHat are we looking for?" Hal lands near Suzanne and he shakes his head. "Unbelievable. The mess." Hal waves out towrds the destruction and chaos.

"Tough fight...here, the fight the other night with the Furies..." It was obvious from the cut on Hal's face that was slowly healing that he didn't get out unscathed. "You okay?" Hal asks.

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
"Yeah." Suzanne seemed a little shaken up. "Came here to take a nap and suddenly the wall explode." She seems to be talking with the knowledge that she can be overheard. "Never heard of the Furies." she says looking at Hal's Face. "Had to have been one heck of a fight. Sorry I wasn't there." She says in a lower voice. "But my ring's missing......" She says actually leaning over the floor to look between the floorboards. "ugh...not there either."

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
"AH." Hal nods, and says, "A lot of people have woken up to this chaos and destruction. Not enough of us to go around to stop the Apocalyptians, or whatever they are called." Hal shrugs, and adds, "Yeah, the Furies are Darkseid's female enforcers. A wicked bunch, that's for sure."

Hal moves his ring hand up to his face, almost touches it, then drops it. Hal then offers a sheepish grin. "Blade cut a little close. Close shave." Hal looks around, and says, "Ring's missing...? My ring hasn't picked it up. I could try to see if I can sense it? Or you could try your willpower and summon it to you. It should respond to your mental commands if it is still here."

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
"You can do that?" Suzanne laughs at Hal. "Never really had to summon it." She says as she looks down, and had found the people have left. "All right." She says getting back up and holding out her hand. "As far as I know, it's still here." She then takes a deep breath and concentrates.

Hal will be able to hear mortar shifting from below as the ring floats up to Suzanne's hand....and rest on her middle finger. "I'm still never going to get used to that." She says as she summon her lantern from the pocket dimension.

"In Frightful Day, In Raging Night.
With Strong Hearts Full, Our Hearts Ignite
When all seems lost in the War of Light
Look to the Stars, For hope burns bright.

As she recites the oath, her uniform appears upon her body before the lantern disappears into it's pocket dimension. "First....you..." And she focuses the ring's energy to mend Hal's face. "There....now you don't look like you're sucking on a jawbreaker."

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
Hal grins and nods. "Yes. Of course you can. We have a link to our rings that allow us a whole slew of abilities that is not usually in the manual." Hal watches as Suzanne concentrates, and nods sagely as she starts to feel the connection.

"Well done! Yeah, it is tough to get used to. After a while though, it is like you are wearing any normal ring, with a few benefits." Hal chuckles and then stays silent as Suzanne summons her lantern and recites her oath.

Touching the wound, or more accurately, where the wound used to be, Hal says, "Thank you. I appreciate that." Hal smiles warmly. "You are always good to have around."

As the Blue Lantern energy recharges her ring, Hal's ring states, "Ring charge at 150 percent. Ring charge at 200 percent." Holding his ring up and admiring it, Hal says, "Really good to have around. Could have used you against the Furies!"

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
"I was on the other side of the city, trying to keep a couple of tanks from leveling an orphanage. It's kind of why I had to take a nap here. I was zonked until I woke up near my door." The Blue Lantern says, before taking a deep breath. "All right. Let's go stop that tank." She says starting to fly out of what's remaining of her apartment. "Oh I'm going to be so upset if they destroyed my NES."
