Cast of Characters: Rainmaker, Moonstar, Miss America, Hawkeye (Bishop)

Rainmaker has posed:
It's been a week or so since the attack by Intergang that interrupted Sarah's attempt to actually grab lunch in Times Square. Then again, on the other hand she got to actually be helpful and meet some actual heroines, who turned out to be pretty cool. And she'd offered to take them out for pizza sometime.

Today seemed like a good day (as it's before the parademons attacked), and since she was planning on taking Dani out for the night anyway, she asked if she'd be interesting in meeting America and Kate.

A few phonecalls later, and they can all converge on a pizza shop in Brooklyn that's known for both the quality of its pies and the greatness of its sales....2 for 1 night! Good for a girl on a budget.

Sarah has staked out a boot near the back of the shop and is staring off into space, looking thoughtful while she waits for the others to arrive.

Moonstar has posed:
Dani arrives after not too long, dressed pretty casually in her normal denim jeans and a blue silk blouse. She waves towards Sarah, picking up the pace as she slides in next to Sarah at the booth, giving her a bright smile, "So Agent Brand likes me, well enough to give a go to the internship." She beams a bit, looking pretty happy as she leans in, giving Sarah a quick kiss on the cheek. "How're you hon?"

Miss America has posed:
She's still getting used to things, here. Some things different, some things the same -- that's usually how it goes. This pizzeria has existed in a world or two she's been to, sometimes in different locations, but with a similar feel; it lends a certain amount of familiarity as America Chavez makes her way in with the heralding jingle of the bell at the door right on time, having brought along Kate via that handy, express travel of flight. Great for avoiding traffic.

Dressed in a loose, long-sleeved crop-top, the sleeves blue and decorated in white stars, the torso striped vertically red and white, a black leotard and a pair of appropriately red-white-and-blue sneakers, the Utopian girl looks fit for dance practice more than anything else today as she steps inside, her hair bound behind her in a long, curly ponytail, the lone mess of bangs dangling over her right eye as she looks about until she spies Sarah. Recognition, a nod -- it's not enthusiastic waving or an exuberant hello, but the faint maybe-hint of a smile on her lips is sign enough that she's happy to see the other girl.

"Over there -- c'mon, princess," she indicate to Kate with the nod of her head before making her way inside. Without pockets to find comfortable purchase in, her hands lace at the back of her head, making her way over towards the other two girls to give Dani a brief once over with an arched brow. "Yo," she says, in that curt way of hers. "America." And with that greeting out of the way, she slides her way into that booth with practiced ease, head tilting toward the back of the restaurant as she does. "Hear they make a kickass slice here."

Hawkeye (Bishop) has posed:
Kate Bishop follows a moment later through the restaurant door. She's dressed in dark designer jeans and a Rangers hockey jersey that's a good sizr too big for her. "Oh, yeah. There they are."

She slides in next to America. "Hi. I'm Kate." she says in freeting to Dani. "Kate Bishop."

Rainmaker has posed:
The Amerindian girl snaps out of her deep thoughts as Dani speaks, smiling up at her as the Cherokee girl scoots in next to her. "That's wonderful!" she says, leaning over to give Dani a firm squeeze. "I knew she would. I'm glad to hear you got it." she says cheerfully, then tilts her head. "Mmm, I'm fine hon. Just kind of lost in my own thoughts today I guess." She smiles gently. "Kinda why I wanted to get out of the apartment."

She pauses as she sees America and Kate following in, raising a hand to wave them over. "Hey you two!" She tilts her head as they sit down. "Dani, these are the two that were at that Intergang attack I got caught up in." She nods to America. "And yeah, this place is supposed to be good. Curious to see if it lives up to the hype. But, 2 for 1 day, so...pizza for each of us? Or half for each, if we want some variety?"

Moonstar has posed:
Dani grins and shrugs a little, "I'm pretty easy going in that regard, though I know better than to ask for it Chicago style here in Brooklyn." She hmms softly, "But yeah, Brand seemed to really want me signed on, even some talk about me keeping going with it after graduation, too. Depending on how everything goes, of course."

With that, she then turns toward America and Kate, giving them a cheerful expression, "Yeah, technically it's Danielle, but everyone calls me Dani. Glad to meet you."

Miss America has posed:
"Same," is America's returned sentiment as she settles in. Arms lifting, America rests them along the back of the booth as she leans back into her seat. "It was a pain in the ass," is her first announcement as to the Intergang attack, her tone seemingly laced with the implication that said pain was far, far from over. She looks between the pair for a moment, before adding, with genuine if not ever-level sincerity, "Your girl was something else, though. She's got power."

With that, chocolate-brown eyes slide Kate's way for a moment, brow arched questioningly. "Sure, half and half. All yours, princess. You got a type you like?" she asks her friend, as the subject switches to pizza. Her gaze only flickers back for a brief, questioning moment as the other two speak. "Brand?" she wonders, head tilt slightly to the left.

Hawkeye (Bishop) has posed:
"Oh, just get whatever you like, even something to take home. I'll take care of it." Kate says, waving a hand. "Besides, _someone_ is going to eat a pizza and a half by herself." she says, teasing, and bumps America playfully with an elbow. "But I'll pretty much eat anything on a pizza, I'm not super-picky."

Rainmaker has posed:
"Mmm, well, if no one is picky, I'm good with a supreme, could just get two, if that's cool." She looks slightly suprised at America's compliment, blinking, then idly slides her fingers along a loose strand of her long raven hair where it hangs over her right shoulder, starting to twist it between her fingertips.

"Thanks. It was...kinda good to help out." she admits. "Not usually my thing. Most times it's someone coming after me, really. Or being kidnapped. Or..." She frowns. "Well a lot of being kidnapped, really." she says, scratching a cheek a bit sheepishly.

She then answers the question though. "Director Brand, of SWORD. Dani was applying for an internship there. They deal with anti-alien stuff mostly? Invasions and intruders and getting refugees settled, that sort of thing."

Moonstar has posed:
Dani grins, and clarifies a bit, "Like the Men in Black, save that they don't give us any memory-wiping-flashy-thingies." She shrugs a bit, "Hey, I had to ask, right? But given that I'm a Cheyenne mutant turned Valkyrie... it isn't like the strange or unusual is all that strange or unusual to me."

She then glances curiously back towards Sarah, "Well, wait, you did some heroing? What happened? You haven't had a chance to tell me about this yet!"

Hawkeye (Bishop) has posed:
"SWORD? Oh, interesting." Kate says. "I managed to finagle an internship with Stark. I thought it was just going to be making coffee and filing, but he's having me set up an office in the Hall of Justice and liason with the League once all this mess is over with."
Then she's done talking about herself. "Supreme is good for me, but we need a pitcher of something to wash it all down with."

Miss America has posed:
"Yeah? You think you ought to be packing that much carbs, princess?" comes America's actual, teasing counter to Kate's words -- and despite the fact that she's not smiling, there's still a glint of amusement in her eyes as she bumps her shoulder against the archer's.

Perhaps as overtly friendly as she gets with just about anyone, and one that doesn't last too terribly long before she turns attention back on Sarah. "Supremes, huh? Yeah, sure. Got no problem with that," she decides, before listening to the talk of SWORD and Director Brand. She doesn't comment directly despite having brought it up -- but one brow lifts in a curious arch, a subtle little display as America falls into thought on the topic.

"... Way I see it, you can either let the fight come to you, or take the fight to them," she says after a moment, leaning backwards in her seat, brown eyes finding Sarah. "You're not half bad at the latter, chica. Ought to make it a habit." And there, her attention shifts, briefly, to Dani, had cocked to the left. "You with Asgard?"

Rainmaker has posed:
Ah. From Sarah's expression, she hasn't really been considering saying anything. "Oh well...I happened to be in Times Square and those Intergang guys attacked a convoy from Star Labs that was driving through." she says slowly. "I kinda got caught in the middle, and they had a helicopter shooting up the place, so I helped out where I could. I mean..mostly bringing it down." She pauses. "...and knocking a bunch of guys unconscious, but that was only after the water main burst and they were all standing in the puddle, so..." She makes a little zap noise, pointing with her finger, smiling a little.

"Not quite up to what you and Priss do, I guess. Or you two." she adds to America and Kate, though she tilts her head at America. "...maybe. I have reasons for not wanting to put myself out where I'm seen, mostly. But...' She frowns. "...I feel there's no point to be able to do what I can do and not doing something with it. Been thinking about what you said before."

She hmmms at Kate, distracted by her comment. "Oh? So, wait, you're like...the person Superman and Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel go to when they want to talk to Stark or something?"

Moonstar has posed:
Dani nods slightly, "Well, I think it's great that you got involved Sarah. Queue the great power and great responsibility speech." She then looks over towards America, and gives her a smile, "Well, sorta. It's a little complicated, but basically one of the winged stallions of the Valkyrior bonded with me. And since he chose me, they inducted me into their ranks. Not like I have Thor on speeddial or anything... from the sounds of it, Kate might have a better angle on that with her internship." She grins at Kate, "Which, by the way, sounds completely awesome. I'd love a chance to meet some of those folks. Working with them on a regular basis would be... well, pretty amazing."

Hawkeye (Bishop) has posed:
"I have to keep my strength up." Kate says to America, and sticks her tongue at at the other girl.

She shrugs to Dani. "I'm not sure it's going to be nearly as interesting as it sounds." Kate says. "Probably more about ticked-off superheroes trying to get ahold of a guy that it's impossible to keep tabs on. I'll probably have an ulcer pretty quick."

Miss America has posed:
Arms coming down, America folds them over her chest, mostly content to listen in that comfortably stoic silence she makes for herself as the other three talk. She just scoffs slightly at Sarah's modesty in complimenting them, though, shaking her head once with a sort of decisive finality. "You're never gonna be like me or them," she asserts, which could easily be perceived as an insult for how blunt it is if she didn't follow up with a simple, "You're you. You're a badass. Own it, chica."

She seems to mull over Dani's words about her situation for a moment after that; a nod follows afterward, simple and easy. "Alright," she decides, as simple as that, as if such a patently bizarre situation was just rote for her by now. "Met a few Asgardians. Some of them are gigantic pricks." And even if Dani's not an Asgardian herself, technically, America still follows it up with a simple,

    "You seem ok."

... Which, for her, is most definitely a compliment.

"Shit's gonna get worse before it gets better," she asides after that. "Intergang? Just the tip of the iceberg. You two oughta watch your backs." She considers a moment, brows furrowed. And then adds, eloquently as always,

"Stark gives you an ulcer, let me know. I'll kick his ass."

... It is legitimately difficult to tell how serious she is about that.

Rainmaker has posed:
"Hey, maybe you and Dani will be interacting too Kate, I'd imagine Stark makes some tech for SWORD too." Sarah gives a slight roll of her shoulders, shrugging in response to America's direct statement, as she leans forwards, resting her elbows on the table, chin on her hands. "Hmmm...I can live with being a badass." she says with faint amusement in her voice, eyes twinkling, before her expression turns more serious.
"It's likely..." the Apache girl says slowly. "Something like Intergang doesn't come out of nowhere. Whoever gave them the weapons hasn't popped their head up yet...but I bet they will."

She smirks a bit at America's offer. "Hmm, I have heard Tony Stark is a major ladies man...he's been professional with you so far, right Kate? Because I'll put a thunderbolt where the sun don't shine if he's not." she adds, in solidarity with America. "And Dani could probably put an arrow someplace tender. Hey, you should see her horse some time though. Flying horse rides are pretty cool." She smiles a bit.

Hawkeye (Bishop) has posed:
"I agree with 'meri. Don't sell yourself short, Sarah. You were awesome. I don't think we could have held the day without you." Kate says. She nods at the suggestion that the backers of Intergang will appear soon. "It's got to be someone with a lot of resources, I can't figure out what they want, though. It's odd."

She grins at America's offer as well. "I'll just sic his girlfriend on him. She and I are good friends now."

A look back to Sarah. "He's pretty much been a gentleman with me. Besides, I'd knee his balls into knext week if he tried anything. Aaannd, I don't want America to smear him all over his office." She shrugs. "I think some of his supposed womanizing is an act, like how much he supposedly drinks."
