Date of Scene: 30 September 2017
Location: Sunnydale, Bludhaven
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Selene (Underworld), Spike

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene wasn't the same kind of vampire as those found here in Sunnydale... in fact, her breed of Vampire was extremely rare in this part of the world all together.

One major difference is that Selene was capable of surviving in sunlight, it only made her weary and drained of part of her powers. She'd learned about the American Vampire shortly after arriving here with her soldiers... she wasn't impressed by them. Vampires in the United States were 'weak' and what was worse was... they were all disorganized slobs. Murderers, rapists, homeless and disgusting. No class.

Selene arrived at The Magic Box for a very specific reason, she'd been told it carried the talismans that she needed.

Her black sport motorcycle rolled up in front of the small shop and its engine roared/revved and then deactivated and she went to dismount her bike, the leather of her skin-tight bodysuit creaked as it flexed around her lithe body within it, her leather trenchcoat flowed out beside her in the windy evening.

The sun was setting behind clouds, it was a grey-hued sky.

Spike has posed:
The sun was setting. Spike could have waited. A little patience would have gone a long way. But he was never one to let a little thing like bursting into flames sour his day. The 'American' vampire, if you could call him that, rushed into the Magic Box. They still hadn't figured out a way to un-invite him from the public store. He was wearing his usual black leather duster jacket, black jeans, and a red t-shirt, which fit him well. But over that, he had a brown blanket, and thus, he was protected from those nasty rays of sunshine.

Panting, he had run there, as he flipped the blanket off, and began to neatly fold it, before setting it down on some nearby books, he looked around, hoping to see one of the gang there. "What a miserable day out there. Did you know that the sun was hiding behind the bleeding clouds. I've a right mind to relocate to California. Less rain, no snow, sunshine all the time, and they have a bloody good football club too." He wasn't really talking to anyone in particular, just announcing his presence as obnoxiously as ever.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene was paused on the sidewalk in front of the dark shop, she wasn't even sure if the establishment was open. She glanced up at it and then down to her glowing phone screen as she was answering texts from one of her lieutenants.

When Spike arrived, Selene looked up at him, she eyed him closely... her pale blue eyes just locked onot his face. She could see it in him instantly, not just because of their similar love in black long coats, but because of many other telltale signs on his face and... well... his eradic behavior...

Selene stared at him. She was the polar opposite of his personality, she was cold and calm, prefered not to talk a lot if she didn't have to.

"Do you know this place?" Selene asked him then, her voice was a traditional London accent, the pitch and tone were husky and sultry. She motioned toward the Magic Box after asking that. "Is it open?"

Spike has posed:
Spike was already inside, but had left the door open, since he'd set his blanket down on the books inside. He gave her a strange look, as if to say, 'are you stupid'. "Well, yeah," he finally replied verbally as he stood inside the building. He had a habit of pissing off people who could beat him senseless. This could be another one of those times. It was a day that ended in 'y' after all.

He recognised her as a vampire, he could smell it on people, but he was surprised that she was in the sunlight. Must have had a gem, some newfangled sunblock, or some other magic. He had heard about it. Plus, there were some, he was one of them, who could exist in sunlight for longer periods of time. Some vampires burst into flames the minute they hit sun. Spike could hold his hand in the sun, sometimes for minutes at a time. It hurt. But he didn't immediately turn to ash or even catch fire, not all the times. There must have been something to do with it about will, longevity, or some other reason.

"They have books, spells, crystal balls, oh, and you should try the jelly beans. Really top notch. Plus, I'm pretty sure old Rupert has some Cadbury's chocolate locked away somewhere. He keeps hiding it, and I keep nicking it." He didn't have to invite her to a public building, but he did gesture with his arm, waving her in as he held the door open for the woman in the black latex, rubber, whatever it was.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene was used to the people in this country being rather disagreeable... Either they looked at her and made comments about her physical appearance, or they were just crass and rude. It was one of the two, generally.

The lady vampire glanced out toward the dying sun and then back toward the pale man with the pale hair and she followed him into the store. "Looked like you might be robbing the place." She teased him with a straight face while stepping inside and moving off to the right a bit, allowing her eyes to roam over the interior of the place.

It smelled nice... in here... very... welcoming, it had a 'happy' aura about it. She was surprised. Most of these shops were the opposite of that.

Selene glanced back over at Spike. "How long have you been in the States?" She asked him then, not too interested in partaking in any available candies...

Spike has posed:
It was an odd question, but he replied, "off and on for the past few years, why do you ask?" He had very few scars, the most notable one above his left eye, right in the middle of his eyebrow. It had a 'Y' shape to it, but the scar was old, having healed quite a bit over the years. "So, what's a nice woman like you doing in a dreary place like Sunnydale?"

He was making small talk, since Passions wasn't on, he couldn't feed on anyone, it was too early to go hunting, though technically, he supposes that the scoobies might like it if he tried to stake her. Somehow, he didn't think was going to. At least not yet.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene smirked at the man's reaction to her and asking why she was here. "There's a Vampire Slayer in Sunnydale." She said then as she made her way to the far wall where things were setup on shelves and racks, she let her eyes roam over them. "I assume thats why you ask." She paused and picked up a small glass statue of an angel with her wings spread and her hands out waiting to hold a candle.

Selene turned the little glass angel over in her forefinger and thumb, inspecting it visually. "I mean no harm to anyone in this little town. I'm simply here because my contacts told me that this shop carried the trinkets that I require."

She'd reach her hand back out and softly set the little angel back down precisely where she'd plucked it, a soft 'clink' noise as glass touched glass. She moved down the aisle toward some clay pots for reagent mixing

"Do you operate the register?" She asked him then, looking back in his direction.

Spike has posed:
"Yeah, a right good one too." Spike said, not pride in his voice, but realisation that he had met a few, and she was by far the best he had ever seen. "Of course, the Slayer being here makes the rest of the world safer for our kind." He wasn't volunteering why he was here. Originally, it was because of the Slayer. He liked a challenge. Now, it was for the Slayer, but his motivations had shifted somewhat.

"There's usually someone here." Maybe there was an emergency and they forgot to lock the store? "If you take it, I won't tell." He really wouldn't. He liked seeing Giles suffer a little bit. "Oh, me, work retail, you must be joking."

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene paused at a pack of candles and she picked one of them up, she turned it over and read the label on the side of the plastic... it was in Chinese. She was impressed, this store wasn't a 'fake' commercial retailer, like so many who tried to give the allure of being about wiccan and the occult, this one seemed to have legit stock on its shelves.

"How good can they be if you're still walking about?" She asked then, setting the candles back down and looking over to him with a little smile on her pale pink lips. "Charming." She added at his bit about him okay with her stealing from the place.

"But I think I'll leave the money, hopefully you won't nick that too." She would turn then and look to a shelf that sat beside the small stairs that lead down into the center of the store. Selene would reach out to pick up a small wooden figurine on a leather cord... a talisman. "Here we are." She announced softly. "In good condition too. How lovely."

Spike has posed:
Spike smiled, "I don't like to brag... who am I kidding, I love to brag. I've killed two Slayers in my day, even took this lovely coat off the last one. Don't you think it suits me?" He was proud of his actions, even if he was developing a conscious thanks to that chip in his head and his time spent with the scoobies.

He followed after her, not really eyeing the merchandise, well, not the stuff on sale anyway, but he was curious about her, and if she did steal, or buy anything too outlandish, he might consider telling the scoobies, or better yet, selling the information to them. A vamp had needs, and pig's blood wasn't free.

"How considerate of you. I imagine they wish all their customers were as well intentioned as you are. So, what'cha looking for? Going to end the world, or just do a little voodoo on Drew Carey because he wouldn't let you on the Price is Right?"

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene uncoiled the talisman's leather cord neckband and she listened to the blonde vampire behind her left shoulder. She smiled more openly then, but whether it was the happiness of seeing this little item or the words that Spike was saying... who could know?

The smile faded then and Selene turned to face him, holding the item in her hand with the leather cord wrappead several times around her fingers. She looked him up and down. "Its a nice coat." She told him. "But you can see I might be biased in that regard." Considering she was wearing one of similar style, thouugh it was clearly custom tailored for her body.

"And no... this item is a good luck charm." She opened her fingers to display it to him, it was the carving of a man with his hands held together and his head down, a dark brown polisehd wood. "I'm giving it a child I brought to safety two nights ago. A child that was about to be feasted on by a pack of..." Selene paused and she stared at Spike's face. "Werewolves." She said a few seconds later.

"I suppose you could label me a Werewolf Slayer, equal in responsibilities to that of the Vampire variety of Slayer. Though... we call it something else, where I come from." She showed him another faint smile then.

Spike has posed:
Spike decided to introduce himself. He offered a hand, the corresponding hand to the one that wasn't holding the carving, "name's Spike." He had a reputation. She might have heard of him. She might not have. It was tough to say. But yes, they did have a similar fashion sense. Of course, it was good thing she didn't have to breath given how tight hers was. His was more for comfort.

"And if you see a short, ging... blond... brun... okay, a werewolf, he changes his hair colour a lot, but about yea high," he held up his hand, it was pretty low, "can you try and not slay him. He's a friend of mine, well, no, a friend of a friend, or is that a friend of a friend of a friend. But point is, it'd make my life a little easier, fewer tears in it, if you didn't do him in. The rest, by all means."

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene would offer her left hand in a shake as well, they were both about the same temperature to the touch, which was always a telltale sign of their shared 'situation in life'.

"Selene." She told him. Her head would slightly shake then side to side. "And you'll have to forgive me, but I haven't heard of you." She showed a larger smile then. "Don't take offense though, I've lived a rather sheltered existence. I'm quite sure that you're the rockstar of Vampires here in the states, and perhaps back home. But I didn't spend a lot of time in England and I've only just arrived here in the States."

Selene would draw her hand back and turn toward the direction of the steps down into the main part of the store. "What is your friend's name?" She asked him then. "When was the last time you saw him?" She looked back at him. "I've killed several Werewolves since I've been here already..." She said that in a glum sort of way, hoping his friend hadn't been one.

Spike has posed:
Spike did care about his reputation, and made a bit of a face, but he didn't let it phase him. He never let anything phase him. He was too full of life, even if he wasn't actually alive. He actually thought about telling her about Angel, since Selene seemed to be on the side of 'good', making up stories about how evil Angel was now, but he thought better of that.

Instead, he just gave the name for his 'friend', "Oz, he's a laconic little man with a dry wit, and pretty insightful. Sometimes hang around with a redheaded witch." He really didn't care if Oz had bitten the silver bullet, but he was trying to do right by Buffy, and that meant looking out for Oz in this case.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene made a non-verbal 'Ah...' motion to the man as she stepped up to the counter and placed the talisman there on its glass top. She looked around and saw little bags on a stack so she reached out to take one and helped herself to putting her purchase away inside the bag. A second later and she pulled out fifty dollars and set it on the counter, sliding it over to stick it beneath the corner of the register.

Selene would turn to look at Spike again then, bag in her left hand, the top rolled down a couple times to keep it closed. "I haven't killed any American Lycans." She told him then. "So your friend is safe... At least from me."

A slight headshake then and she continued. "My family and I are tracking the remnants of a Lycan army that has migrated here from Europe. They are... on the losing side of a centuries old war... They are growing desperate... they're looking to turn new members to their cause, powerful members. They're angling for mutants and metahumans specifically. I, and mine, are here to stop them."

Spike has posed:
"Uh-huh," Spike offered at the mention of the war. Anywhere else, and he'd think was certifiably insane. But in Sunnydale, centuries old secret wars were kind of the norm. In fact, he probably passed at least two staging grounds on his way to the Magic Box. It was a fact of life that people were trying to kill other people over stuff that happened a long time ago, or just simple prejudice. Spike liked to mingle with them all, if he could.

"Well, best of luck in your crusade, but it sounds like you don't need it. Mutant and Meta lycans? Try saying that one five times fast." Yeah, he was making light of her holy quest, or whatever it was that drove her on. "Oh, and if you're feeling a might peckish after your slayings, they make a wonderful onion dish at the Bronze, a local night club."

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene would show a light smile at the man's care-free-attitude. He seemed... happy... she admired that. Her quest to vanquish the lycans wasn't about a holy war, it was about avenging the death of her family from 600 years ago. She intended to chase them across entire globe, if need-be, to avenge her mother, father and little sisters... who were burned alive in a house fire set by the Lycans. Or so she was told.

"The Bronze." Selene said with a soft dip of her pointed chin. "Perhaps I'll stop by there on my way out of town." She offered a light smile. "But, in a town that praises the presence of its Vampire Slayer's abilities... Perhaps its best if I just move along."

Selene would start to walk past him then, back toward the front door. "Thank you, Spike." She said as she passed by him, giving him a sidelong look with her bright blue eyes. "Don't steal my money." She added with a sly smile.
