Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Black Canary, Batwoman

Black Canary has posed:
It's not been overly common for Dinah to run into Kate too often on the rooftops...she tends to get sent all over the place, rather than patrolling in Gotham, like the old days. But she does know how to get in contact with her, and she sent a message to her asking if she'd like to come over and chat some - in civvies, of course, giving her directions to her home. She promised she would provide the alcohol, if nothing else! So, Dinah is sitting crosslegged on her couch, a small glass of red wine on the table beside her as she reads from a magazine.

Batwoman has posed:
Knock knock. Kate smiles when she sees Dinah on the far side of the door, blue eyes intense while they study the blonde's features. She's wearing blue jeans that manage to emphasize her rather significant height , a black Tegan and Sara t-shirt, and her short red hair carefully combed away from her face. "Hey," Kate calls as ssoon as she's insdie. "Red wine? perfect. I could use a glass after the night I've had. How have you been, Dinah?"]

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah is fairly comfortably dressed...black t-shirt, cut-off jean shorts, bare foot and her hair pulled back in a loose, messy ponytail. She smiles as she sees Kate,. "Hi there! Sure, come on in, have a seat...I'll pour you a glass." She smiles and shrugs. "Mm, the attack in Metropolis and Intergang have been keeping me busy...glad it seems to be over at last." She frowns. "Not much I can do to help with the reconstruction and cleanup, so the League told me to take some voluntary time off s I'd be ready to help out when the current responders need to rest. Um, with crime and such, I mean." She smiles a bit, closing the door behind you and waves you over to the couch as she heads over to snag a clean glass, then fills it about half full with red before she carries it, and the bottle, back over to the living room to set it on the coffee table in front of you both. "It's pretty good...Australian, so it's a little dry. But tasty."

Batwoman has posed:
"Nothng wrong with a good dry red," the much taller woman replies, nodding thoughtfully as she does. She tilts her head slightly, studying the room before trurning her gaze to the bottle of wine. The glass is taken carefully sipped at as Kate nods. "Responders, hm? I guess that would be me," Kate notes drily before taking a deep breath. "At least we're getting a chance to rebuild. I don't know exactly what went down but I do know it could have been a lot worse."

Batwoman has posed:
"It's all over, then?" Kate adds slowly before sipping thew ine again. "No more evil intergalactic monsters coming to kill us all this week?"

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah seats herself, pulling her legs up under her as she sits crosslegged again. "There's been no further signs of new boom tube intrusions...that's what the portals are apparently called." she says, sipping from her wine glass. "There's been no sign of any organized attacks since the fight with Darkseid and him being thrown bodily back through a portal after getting whalloped by a chain of heroes." She frowns. "Which is good, because the med bay at the Hall is pretty full at the moment...lots of heroes got hurt badly. So, looks like it's just going to be mopping up what forces got cut off on this side and cleanup. Metropolis is going to tak ea while to be rebuilt." she admits, frowning quietly. "It's pretty bad."

Batwoman has posed:
"I've poured a lot of money into the relief effort," Kate replies quietly. She takes a moment to sip her wine and let it sit on her tongue for a moment, silent while she considers the question. "Well, we can't help clean up more than we are. This is a good substitute. Thank you for having me mover. Is... Everything alright?"

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah actually looks a bit hesistant now. "Well yes, it's just...more of...ah..." She frowns. "An offer, I guess." She smiles faintly. "Not an indecent proposal or anything, but...I've been talking with Oracle. She wants to revive the Birds of Prey." Which, Kate might know, Dinah used to be a team leader for before..well, bad things happened. Rumor was that someone Dinah brought into the group betrayed them, and they dissolved shortly thereafter, with Dinah resigning her position.

Batwoman has posed:
"Alright. Based on what you've told me about it... I'm in." A beat follows. "I've never really been much for teams but if there's antyhing I've learned fom all of - this - it's that 'n not going to save the world on my own>" Kate shakes her head once more. "I don't know if I was really trying to." She sips her wine agian and adds,"Soget things together and we can work it out. In the mean time, you should have some of this wine. We can get so drunk we start arguing over whether or not a canary has any place being called a Bird of Prey." Kate gestures at the bottle with her glass.

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah looks a bit suprised by that...she thought she was going to have to sell it. "Just like that, huh?" she says with a faint smile. "Well...she says, draining off the last of her glass, then reaching over to snag the bottle to refill it. "Yeah, that's what Oracle keeps telling me. Full disclosure...I'm not sure if I should be a Bird of Prey again, canary or no. Last time....it was my fault that everything went wrong, because I didn't listen to Batgirl when she told me there was something to worry about." She shakes her head, leaning back. "We're considering asking Huntress, and then Spoiler and the current Batgirl..they're a little young, but I've been training Spoiler on the side, so I think she'd do well with a bit of seasoning.
