Cast of Characters: Wonder Woman, Superman, Green Lantern (Jordan), Supergirl

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana had never come to this space station.

Whats worse? She'd never gone into Space.

When Batman had finished this station weeks after telling her that he was building it... she just hadn't had time to come up here yet.

Now that the fighting had ended on Earth, she made a note of coming up here to explore it. They needed to be better prepared, and this included her.

Diana was exploring the station, she was dressed in her armor and weapons, though the armor was mostly hidden beneath a heavy cloak of dark blue, with gold material lining the interior.

Diana was in the galley and exploring the kitchen area. "This is... remarkable." She'd said for about the 90th time since touching down inside the hangar room with her invisible jet (that was large enough to carry anyone who wanted to come with her).

Superman has posed:
Superman has spent a handful of time up here since it was built. He has a tendency to hover in the upper atmosphere and listen to the world beneath him, and he has found the metal exterior provides a hint too much barrier for his tastes. Still, even the Man of Steel needs to eat.

The door to the galley slides open with a 'SWOOSH!' and in strides Big Blue. His red cape flutters about his booted ankles as he glances about, a small and easy smile on his classically handsome face. He can hear the sound of movement in the kitchen, and his brow furrows. He makes his way over, peeking around the edge of the door and into it.

"Ah, Diana! I see you've found your way up here at last! Excellent timing, too! I was about to make some dinner."

He steps fully into the kitchen and moves to a cabinet, beginning to withdraw things. "I helped make dinner everyday when I was a child. I don't really get the chance to cook for others very often, anymore."

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
Finally done Mission Monitor Duty, Hal Jordan decides to take a little bit of time and wander around the Watchtower. As of this moment, the Universe wasn't ending, and Darkseid or the Yellow Lantern Corps wasn't attacking. A perfect moment to relax, and take it easy.

Moving into the Gallery, Hal take a few seconds to look around, admiring refrigerators and the pristine room. With a quick smile, he touches the nearest table and remembers good times. Things had been tough the last few weeks. Cities buring, people hurt, heroes down. It was a time for reflexion and a re-confirmation or why they were heroes.

"Superman. Wonder Woman." Hal smiles in greeting. After all, he had been up here many times, and has been in Space since almost the first moment he touched his power ring. "Dinner huh? I could go for that. I hear you are good at Apple Pie?" Hal grins.

Supergirl has posed:
Kara is less a stranger to the Watch Tower. The space station more familiar technologically, if still far behind Krypton. She is the last to arrive, a blue and red shadow if her cousin in blonde. She looks startled to see Diana on board and waves. "Hi Diana, finally caved? It's quiet isn't it? Much better than all the noise below sometimes." She offers in a bright, chipper tone.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana would turn as the others would enter, she had one of her Amazonian sisters with her who was dressed in a similar robe - only white with gold lining. Both women looked to those who stepped into the galley now.

Diana showed a smile to Kal when he spoke. "That sounds... great, we both appreciate it." She glanced over to the redheaded sister who stood beside her, she smiled at Superman cause she was smitten with the caped man in red and blue, but said nothing because of the same reason! Even Amazonian women can be shy!

Diana would look to Hal and Kara and she'd show a grin then. "Yes, this is my first time here... Please do not set me up for some kind of 'hazing'. I am already uncomfortable enough just being off of the Earth's surface. I have not..."

Diana looked to one of the windows out into space and the edge of their homeworld beyond. "Seen the planet from this angle. After a thousand years, you can still manage to experience 'new things' afterall."

Superman has posed:
Superman turns and smiles at Hal as he comes into view, and the man laughs softly. It is a pleasant sound, and his good-nature can sometimes be infectious. "Apple pie? Sure, sure. I was thinking steak, potatoes and corn, though. A nice, hearty meal." He glances over and offers his older cousin a smile. "Kara. Hungry, I hope?" He unfastens his cape and hangs it up, before he begins to move about the kitchen.

The man could have the prep work done in an instant, sure. But that isn't the point. That isn't the -journey-. "Diana, could you please take a chopping board from that drawer right there, and the garlic from over there? Crack and dice some garlic for us." There is no command in his voice. Simply a warm, friendly tone. "Hal? Do us a favor and pull and wash a few potatoes from under that sink? I'd say...ten?" He pauses to consider the number and then nods again, as if sure of it.

Meanwhile, Kal pulls several very nicely sized and very nicely cut steaks from a fridge, and he lays them out on the counter. "Kara? There are carrots hanging over there. Pull them down and wash them for us?"

Doing something as a group is important...even something as simple and mundane as this.

No. ESPECIALLY something as simple and mundane as this.

He glances over at Diana and offers a small smile. "Looking down on the Earth can...put some things in perspective, I find. Anytime I find myself tipping towards worry or despair, I find it...centers me."

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
Hal looks back over his shoulder, and nods. "Hi Supergirl. Welcome to the party." Hal turns his attention back to Wonder Woman, and smiles. "Yeah, it was certainly something I was surprised about when she was first unveiled. A marvel. I am sure Batman has it all locked up safe and sound though so we don't have to worry about any...issues."

Hal moves closer, to stand by Diana as she peers out into Space. Quietly, he just nods, placing his hands behind his back. "It is incredible, isn't it? The vastness. It can be magnificient...and chilling. I think about that every time I head out there." Hal nods towards a distant star.

Turning back to look over at Superman, Hal laughs, and says, "Sure! I can go for a steak. Medium rare...are you going to use those eye beams of yours, because I'd rather it not be well done?" The mischief in his eyes was obvious as he teases Clark. Looking over at the sink, Hal nods, and adds, "Sure." With a touch of will power, Hal uses his ring to grab and bunch of potatoes, around ten, and begins to peel them with a handful of green potato peelers. "Easy as...pie." Hal winks at Kara.

Supergirl has posed:
Eyeing Kal, Kara takes a moment. "Can't we just tell the monitor?" She asks, looking at the actual kitchen and sighing. She trudges in and hunts for the carrots. "I think this has to be some cruel Earth hazing, cooking." She wrinkles her nose and looks at Hal. "And that is SO cheating." She grumbles, the young person in the group. Her cape is still on, she looks at the Amazons. "Do you cook on your island or have the Amazons developed a means to get around it?" Kara it seems, is terrible in the kitchen.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana would turn to regard Superman and his requests. "I can see a great amount of peace in coming up here and just reminding yourself what it is we are fighting for." She said back to him, about to step to retrieve the things he asked for when her redheaded sister took charge and went to do it for her, retrieving said items in haste and handing them over to Superman with a big dopey smile.

Diana would just grin a bit before looking to Hal. "That is right." She said to him, still grinning. "You are an old pro at this, so to speak. I am barely away from my office chair, compared to where you have gone and what you have seen along the way. That is... impressive, Hal."

The redheaded Amazon would pull her eyes off of Kal long enough to look at Kara, who would also get a smile - though quite a bit less strenght to it. "Yes, we cook, MIss." She told Kara. "It can be quite fun if you have the right space and all the right things to work with."

Superman has posed:
"I'm going to use a grill, and then a stove," Kal replies to Hal with a small smile. The man glances over as Kal uses his ring to do it, and he turns his attention back to the steaks. "Suppose that works." He pulls out salt and pepper and seasons the meat using only that. "Medium rare all around. Anything else would be villainous," he teases.

"This is a family activity," he tells Kara as he glances over at her. "Or a friend one. It is something people do together. It is not a punishment." He works the seasoning into the meat carefully do he doesn't pulp it, and then he cleans his hands off. He then moves over to pull out some ears of corn, and he begins shucking them with the ease of a Kansas farmboy.

He blinks at Diana and laughs softly, waving off the things. "No, no. Cut them over there. Use one of those knives and press them flat to the garlic to split them a little...then peel them...and dice them. We're each doing something."

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
Laughing, Hal nods, and says, "Yeah, it is Supergirl. Never stopped me before." Hal grins, and continues to use his ring to peel the potatoes until they are all finished.

"Exactly...Diana." Hal relaxes the formality, following in her footsteps. "I may be an "old pro" but it never ceases to amaze me." The touch of wonder to his voice was obvious. "And nice to meet your friend as well. Welcome to the Watchtower."

Pausing for a moment, Hal says, "There." Hal floats over to hover besides Superman, and uses a five fingered green hand to pluck a large pot from the cubbard

Smiling, Hal fills the pot with water, yep, with another green hand doing the work. Then, this is quickly followed by loud "ploop, ploop, ploops". The unmistakeable sound of the potatoes dropping into the pot with the water.

The pot is then subsequently placed on the stove. Turning the heat on with another green hand, Hal crosses his arms across his chest and floats in the centre of the room with a smile at Kal.

Supergirl has posed:
Kara continues to look bewildered but she helps cut the carrots down as instructed. "The Danvers always order out. They think it's more important to try different Earth food, but we don't cook them." She looks down at the carrots and gets a knife taking tome to try and cut the carrots meticulously even.

Wonder Woman has posed:
The tall redheaded girl would move to do just as Superman asked and she'd do it with a smile on her face. "Yes, m'lord." She'd even reply to him in that same accented English that Diana herself spoke with.

Diana, on the other hand, would turn partly and motion toward her sister. "I should have introduced you all." She told them. "Adrastea, a sister from Themyscira. Queen Hippolyta has granted three Themyscirans to be allowed to travel with me, learn with me and experience the rest of the world as I have. When they wish to return, they can be replaced by any others who are curious to experience the same."

Diana would then walk to one of the tables and she'd turn a chair around to face them and seat herself upon it's edge. Her blue eyes would look about the interior of the place.

"Okay... I have one complaint." Diana would then say aloud. "Don't you think... with as much as Batman has built here, that we should possibly... maybe... kind of... be using this massive, facility, for more than just what we are?" She'd ask then, slightly turning her head. "Should we not have this place filled with science enthusiasts looking to learn and research up here? Should we not be offering, jobs, of some variety up here?"

She'd smile a little then. "I just feel as though this impressive place is missing a greater purpose."

Superman has posed:
Kal, unlike Hal, works at a leisurely pace and with his own hands. He doesn't seem to judge the man for using his powers instead, however. He simply glances over and nods when he notices the water is going. "Good, good." He shucks the last of the corn and spends a moment washing them all off in the sink, before he drops them into another pot of lightly salted water.

"I used to have this meal almost every Sunday back home. Not exactly like this, but close enough."

He glances over and nods to Kara. "They have a point, too. Broadening your horizons when it comes to Earth culture is important...and food -is- part of that. Do you have a favorite so far?," her younger cousin asks curiously. He blinks and glances over at the redhead, chuckles. "No m'Lord, please. Just Kal." He nods at the introductions from Diana. "It's a pleasure to meet you.

The man considers Diana's query for a moment as he glances over to watch Kara chop the carrots. "It's still in its beginning, Diana. It has potential, certainly...but the League needs to grow as well. It can be more then a tiny handful of individuals. This place could serve as a really good headquarters for a larger, more diverse team."

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
"I hear ya' Kara." Hal slips, and mentions her real name. "Truth be told...I order a lot of take out as well. See, there is this fast food place on Rigel IV...the waitresses are smokin'..." Hal blinks, pauses, grins, and says, "...fast servers. Nice girls. Really. Saving for college I think."

Hal grimaces, and looks over at Diana and her entourage. "So...milord?" Hal nudges Kal with a smile. "Don't let the red head go to your head. Every Sunday huh? Not me. I was lucky enough to get mess food, or a quick meal."

Hal bows his head respectfully at the red headed Amazon, and smiles. "Adrastea. Pleasure to meet you.

Hal then floats over to land close to Diana, turning his ring off for a moment. "Probably Diana. I can't argue with that. Clark is also right." Hal shrugs. "You know what Bats would say though?" Hal deepens his voice, and gets all gravelly. "This station's purpose is to protect the planet and prevent any extra-terrestrial footholds in our system. It is the first line of defense. Why? Because...I'm Batman." Hal laughs.

Supergirl has posed:
"Dumplings. Soupy dumplings, steamed dumplings, fried dumplings." Kara answers very seriously. Looking back down at her carrots she trims them, trying to cut the carrots into identical cubes for the most even cooking. She looks to the Amazon curiously and to Diana. "I would love that! Scientists up here. Earth still has so much to learn." she gushes and looks at Kal and Hal. "Considering all the aliens on the team?" She chuckles at that and refrains from trying to copy Batman's voice. He might appear somewhere.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Adrastea would nod to Superman and smile once again before going back to working silently to help where she could and when she ran out of things to help with she'd step back and off to the side so as to not get in the way.

"The facility is not complete?" Diana would then ask, looking between Kal and Hal. "I am sorry, I did not realize that. My ability to judge the completedness of space stations is not what it should be." She'd show a light grin then before glancing to Kara and nodding in her direction.

"I am glad at least one of you liked my suggestion." She'd say, letting her grin blossom a bit further. "As for Batman... he can be the one who goes outside and applies the last coat of paint to this place." Diana would then pause and a look of confusion would cross over her once-clay-face. "Do space stations have paint on their exterior surfaces?"

Superman has posed:
The man chuckles softly at Hal's comment about it going to his head, though he also ignores his comments on nice servers and fast girls or...whatever it was. Once everything is prepped and in pots and pants, he begins to heat up a large cast iron pan. Once it is very hot he sets each steak down with a loud sizzle.

"Dumplings are great," Kal replies to Kara. "Soup dumplings are the best. We should go to China sometime. They have restaurants dedicated to specific types of food...including dumplings." He smiles, and then glances over at Diana as the food cooks. "It could, I suppose. Not too many people, other then the League, will be seeing the exterior, however."

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
Kal nods to Kara, and says, "I don't consider any of you "aliens". I consider you family. Most of the people not born on Earth on this team have done a helluva lot more to protect her and her population than most people born on the planet." Hal shakes his head, and adds, "Anyway. A family and a team."

Turning to Diana, Hal says, "It's getting there. I had Kyle help me with doing some heavy lifting a while ago. It's almost 100 percent. Slowly but surely. If needed, she'd hold up in a fight." Hal's pride was evident. "ANd I would love to see the look on Bats face when YOU suggested the paint job, Diana." Hal chuckles.

Turning back to watch as Kal places the steaks on the grill, Hal grins and sniffs loudly. "Mmmmm. Nothing like a steak to nourish the mind and body." Looking over his shoulder at the Amazons, Hal says, "We have salads too, if you prefer Diana. Adrastea?"

Supergirl has posed:
"China. Sure Kal." Kara shrugs as she cubes carrots. She seems charmed by Diana's smile and works to make the cubes extra precise! "There is a lot we knew on Kryton I am surprised they have not adapted to Earth, the House of El has produced many brilliant scientists." And then there's Kal and Kara.
