Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Gamora, Star-Lord, Gothic Lolita

Gamora has posed:
The coordinates had been set. Thanks, muchly, to Rocket who was currently piloting on the way to Earth. Gamora had gone into one of her more surly stages. She didn't like going after Darkseid, despite the credits. Not that she had any -concrete- proof, but -- well, logic dictated it would be suicide, the same way them going up to Thanos' palace and punching him in the face would be suicide. Not anywhere near their normal suicidal tendencies. And so, for the third time, she's checking all her weapons, each laid out on the table in front of her, to make sure not only are they in working order, but they're at top performance.

Star-Lord has posed:

Quill was in his own head too. Not just because when he asked around about Darkseid his contacts laughed or hung up. C'ept for Gizzo, he asked if anyone had a claim on the Milano after he's gone. Still the fear hadn't quite seeped in to the actual thinking parts of his brain. Instead he was thinking just two things, he was heading home and his home was in danger. He looks up from where he was zoned out with his headphones on and shouts. "Yo, Rocket, step on it will ya!" then looks over at Gamora and offers a tight smile. "Can't wait to spend those units," he explains lamely as he clicks off the music and takes off his headphones.

Gothic Lolita has posed:
The pretty dark-haired gynoid at the sensor station nearby says, a bit dryly. "It may be a bit premature to count your units before we actually deal with the target, Captain my Captain." Lolita tilts her head. "A prodigous bounty of this level suggests a similarly prodigous power level. It likely will be difficult to collect on." She pauses. "Are we sure he's at this planet we're traveling to?"

Gamora has posed:
"The bounty says to capture him on Earth." Gamora's voice is flat, and she does not look at either Gothic Lolita, or Quill. Instead, she's squinting her eyes and looking down the detached barrel of a long, sniper-like gamma rifle. It's not one of the weapons Lolita has seen before, ... Peter, perhaps, has seen it once or twice. It's a weapon Gamora only uses when she feels she needs distance between herself, and her target, because that's her only advantage.
"So that is where we are going. If he is not there? All the better. We can pick up one of the other contracts."
Her mouth twists downwards, fractionally, and she takes a tool off the table, aligning it with the scope, now. "Understand, Peter. I told Rocket we are only assessing the situation, first. I will slap a suit on him, and tie him to the outer hull if I have to, to drag him away if I feel we cannot handle the situation, before it gets too problematic."

Star-Lord has posed:
Peter nodding to Gamora says to Loli "What she said. Good chance if the bounty wants us to capture him there, that's where we'll find him," he says as he gets up and stretches looking over all the weapons. His eyes linger on the gamma rifle a moment then he quickly moves them on. "Yeah, he mentioned you were 'calling the shots' on this one," he says with air quotes. "Those were his by the way," about the air quotes. "Anyhow, if he's there, I am sure we can take him," he says as he reaches down to pick up one of the guns on the table, he aims it at a bulkhead. "We've got enough firepower here to take on the whole Nova Corps, the Kree too if we add Rocket's collection. We'll be fine. Actually, better than fine, fine and rich." Does he mean it? Hard to tell with Quill sometimes. He mimes pulling the trigger. "Phew."

Gothic Lolita has posed:
"I don't recall a metahuman named Darkseid in my databanks operating on Earth, therefore I assume he is non-native. Did any of your contacts or the person who posted the bounty mention why he had gone to a planet with very limited interstellar interations?" The gynoid's tone is a bit wary as she considers. "It bothers me that we know so little about the target."

Gamora has posed:
"As I told Rocket, the only thing I know about Darkseid is I was personally instructed, by Thanos, to never act against Darkseid, or anyone acting on his behalf." That, and that alone, is why Gamora is so ... wound up.
"And, yes, Peter. I -am- calling the shots on this one. And if I have to, I'll tie you to the hull, too. We can't spend seventy million credits if we're dead. So, we will survey the area, first. Before approaching." The green girl looks pointedly at Peter in the way the Peter know she absolutely means every single word she's saying.
"If he is not there, or, is a threat we can handle, we will persue. At worst, you will get to see Earth again. Even if only from afar."

Star-Lord has posed:
Peter puts the gun back where he found it. "That's pretty much all I got about him too, Loli," he says. "He's bad news. On the plus side if he's gone when we get their we can probably ambush a scavenger or two whose probably heading this way to pick our bones." He smiles and then heads over to where he left a cup awhile back and looks inside, finding the contents still acceptable he takes a drink. Though even with his back turned he can feel that look from Gamora. He turns around catching the end of it and meeting her eyes for a moment. There's a slight nod. Message received. "Well, actually," he says. "If he's there and he's bad as he seems, I'm kinda going to need you to drop me off. No judgement if you take off for Nowhere after that, but it's y'know, Earth. I gotta take him out if I can."

Gothic Lolita has posed:
Gothic Lolita considers that. "Yes. I would have to depart the ship as well to assist in such case." she agrees. "I would not like it if my homeworld was damaged by his actions." She frowns. "Though I am not usually a 'heroine' in the cap sense, I would not feel comfortable having my world be messed up."

Gamora has posed:
"Yes. It's Earth," Gamora agrees. "It may not be Earth, when we get there." Gamora doesn't do words of comfort. She doesn't do words of inspiration. Just cold, hard, tactical facts. "In which case, your fighting for it might be moot." Still, she -is- working on her gun, still, replacing the barrel, and the scope she checks the sensitivity of the finger trigger, next.

Star-Lord has posed:
Peter hides the hard line of his mouth behind the cup for a moment then lowers it saying, "That's harsh, Gamora. I figured if anyone would understand it would be you." Yeah, he went there. He puts down the cup. "And great Loli, more the merrier," he says with a nod for the gynoid before adding looking side-eye at Gamora. "Glad -someone- is up for a little world saving." Or world avenging anyhow...

Gothic Lolita has posed:
Lolita smiles, then considers. "I do believe there is at least one large spacecraft nearby to the planet, as well as a space station for SWORD and numerous SHIELD early warning systems. "Do you have a means of bypassing them without being detected? They make take offense at us violating Earth's territory..."

Gamora has posed:
Cold. Harsh. But, truth. It's one of the things Gamora deals best in. Truth. Anger. Fighting. But, to the answer if the Milano can bypass pre-dated Earth technology, she looks over to Quill. "Yes. Will your Michael Knight be able to detect us with his amazing flying car?" Because, the way Quill told it, Michael Knight apparently is probably the head of their Earth Security.

Star-Lord has posed:
Quill jabs a finger at Gamora. "It's a -talking- car and leave Michael Knight out of it!" he says before lowering his hand and beginning to pace. Because yeah, good point Loli. "Well not to rip on my homeworld, but we're not the best tech in the galaxy at tech stuff, so if we do like Gamora says and check things out first, odds are we can find a way to beat their sensors easy," he says. "The Legion though, well they owe us right? Maybe they can wave us through the whole mess if we comm them first, and if not, we're the Guardians of the Galaxy, if we can't get past a fancy future ship we're doing something wrong." Then with an arch look at Gamora he adds: "Besides if Miss Sunshine here is right, then it's all going to be busted up by the time we get there anyhow."

Gothic Lolita has posed:
Lolita cocks her head thoughfully. "We could just contact them. If there's an alien bounty on their world out to cause trouble, they might be willing to help us locate him and remove him from the planet's surface." She pauses. "Or, alternately, to alert them, let them defeat this Darkseid, then offer to transport him back to a suitable prison world off their planet. Then we can collect the bounty with a minimum of personal fuss."

Gamora has posed:
Gamora puts down the gamma sniper, and picks up pair of handheld pistol-like blasters, different, but not entirely dissimiliar to Peter's own. She begins to check them out. Busy work. "We'll need as many friends as we can. Though, they may have their own problems," she suggests. "But yes. We've worked with them before," she conceeds. It seems Gamora is staying out of the asking for help scenario. Then again, she's never been good at that, either.

Star-Lord has posed:
"Knew we had you around for a reason," Quill says with a brief but earnest smile to let Loli know there was never any question. He starts to pace again, thinking. "We'll comm them and let them know we're coming, if that guy is on world they'll probably ask us for help. If not then we play it safe, check out the situation and go from there, but if we can get someone else to take him out and we collect, I am definitely down for that."

Gothic Lolita has posed:
"As you say, Captain Courageous." Loli says politely. She's perfectly willing to following Peter's lead in that...she has confidence in him, after all. Perhaps a bit more so than others in the crew might, but then again, he did help save her from being kidnapped, after all. Among other things.
