Cast of Characters: Wolverine, Shadowcat, Kaydin LeGraize

Wolverine has posed:
The sounds of clanging and hammering seem to be coming from the garage. The smell of smoke from a cigar, carried on a cool breeze from an open door, pervade the air. Tossing the wrench that he was, until moments ago, using to try and fix the old 50 year old motorcycle with, is Logan.

Moving to stand by the side bench, he opens the fridge that he had installed there recently, and took out a cold one. Opening it with a "krccshhhsss", Logan upends the can, and takes a long pull. "Ahhhh." Logan says, with a smile.

"Nothin' like a' cold one on a hard day." Logan crumples the now empty can, and tosses it in the nearby recycling bin. McCoy made him put that there.

Turning to grab the cigar that was slowly burning down in the ashtray, Logan picks it up with his right hand, and puts it in his mouth. The slight glow from the tip reveals that he was inhaling.

Shadowcat has posed:
Generally speaking, this would be the place to find him. Kitty's had little luck spotting the man himself since she got home, but the sound of hammering heralds the fact that he's once more banging on the beloved machine -- ha! Cornered!

Passing silently through the garage doors, she rounds the corner to see that infamous stogie stuck in his face. And the petite brunette teases lightly, "You are still the poster child of the wild-man look, I see." She waits only long enough to have his eyes before she practically bounds in and wraps herself around his sturdy shape in a tight hug. "Oooh! I missed you!"

Wolverine has posed:
"AH!" Logan says, with a start and a growl. "Pryde. Ugh. I hate when you do that." Logan grimaces, as he realises he bit through his cigar. Tossing the remnants in the ashtray, Logan grumbles, "Waste of a perfectly good cigar too." Logan peers back over his shoulder at Kitty, and says, "No...wait..."

That was when she grabs him in a big hug. Resistant at first, Logan slowly softens and returns the hug. "Now, Kitty. That's a freebie." Logan smiles and pats her on the head.

Shadowcat has posed:
It's why she does it, of course. Because if she doesn't ambush-hug the man, he always dodges it! After he hugs back, she laughingly releases him and gives him back his space. "Hi." The cheeky grin is unrepentant. "The monster giving you trouble again?" she asks, jerking her chin at the bike. It seems he's perpetually banging on something -- three years after she goes off to college, he's STILL banging on the thing! "You'd think after you rebuilt the thing twice, it'd behave. I think you take it apart just to have something to do." There is clear amusement in her dark eyes as she watches him -- it's very clear that she missed him like mad. Summer visits just were NOT enough; and last summer she practically didn't get to visit, what with an internship in Metropolis.

Wolverine has posed:
"Hi." Logan looks at the young woman with a smile on his face. It was a normal reaction to someone grinning at him. Especially when her name is Kitty Pryde. Looking over at the bike, Logan grimaces once more, twice in as many minutes, and nods. "Yeah. She's being difficult. Lorna helped me out a few weeks ago, and since then, she's been hard on me. Huh. Twice? More like four times..."

Logan shakes his head, and looks back at Kitty. "She's been with me a long time kid. A long time." Logan smiles and shrugs. "She hasn't been the same since Victor..." Sabretooth, "...racked her up on me."

"So. How goes this residency or whatever?" Logan opens the fridge, and offers a beer to the almost-no-longer-teenager in front of him. "Beer? Yer like, 27 by now right?"

Kaydin LeGraize has posed:
Kaydin arrives, rapid footfalls announcing his presence. He looks around the garage and looks to the two. "Heyas." He says as he moves over to them, even his walking speed was fairly fast. "Are you both teachers of this place?" He asks curiously, adjusting his large backpack on his shoulder to be more comfortable.

Shadowcat has posed:
Bouncing around the bike, taking a closer look at the bits and pieces, Kitty waves off the beer. "Nah. It's the one thing I swear the Brits do better'n us -- beer. It tastes like swill here. Didja know that Guinness has to actually *sit* to be drunk properly??" She plunks her butt up on his work bench and swings her feet. "Riiiight. 27. Sure thing." She rolls her eyes. "Someday I'll even be 20! And I have more than an internship -- I have a new job! Gonna be real interes--"

She stops, looking toward the newcomer. "Nope. Not me. Him. Hi!"

Wolverine has posed:
Logan sniffs, quirks a look around Kitty, and notes the arrival of Kaydin. Snorting, Logan shakes his head, and opens his new beer with a "Ssssskkkkttsss." Chuckling lightly, Logan says, "I guess so. Although I hear I am called "Professor Logan". Imagine that." Logan eyes Kaydin with an appraising air, and says, "Yer that new kid...Kaydin something. Huh."

Looking back at Kitty, Logan smiles, and places the beer on the shelf at his elbow. For later. "Too bad. Ugh. Ya' wound me kid. Brits? Naw. It's Canadian beer. Keith's. East Coast. Good people, great food, excellent beer. Only other country close ta' Canadian beer is German."

Taking another drink, Logan regards the two young people in "his" garage and says, "So. A new job, and a new student. Good times." Logan takes another drink.

Kaydin LeGraize has posed:
Kaydin nods "LeGraize." Kaydin says as he makes his way over and offers his hand to Kitty. "Kaydin LeGraize. New student like he said." He says as he then turns to Logan and looks at the bike. "My dad used to ride a bike. Mom made him sell it because she was afraid my brother would have gotten killed riding it." He says with a smile.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty laughs at the vaguely offended commentary on beer. "Professor?" she asks of Logan, incredulous. "Seriously?" She wrinkles her nose, not really able to picture Logan being anywhere close to serious enough to merit the word 'professor' in front of his name. "Welcome to Xavier's School, Kaydin. I'm Kitty Pryde." She doesn't jump down off Logan's workbench, so she's still sitting as she shakes the hand. But she seems genuinely welcoming. It's about to be bike talk, though -- can't interrupt bike talk!

Wolverine has posed:
"Yeah. It happens kid. I never had a wife tha' would do that. Heh. Ah' don't need ta' worry about dyin'...done that a few times already." Logan chuckles, and nods. Then, he stares at Kitty. "Seriously. Ya sound like yer surprised or somethin'." Logan peers at her. "What?"

Logan takes another drink, realises the can is empty, and crumples it with a "krrrrunnnkkk". Tossing this one in McCoy's recycle bin, he reaches for the one left on the bench.

Kaydin LeGraize has posed:
Kaydin nods as he looks to the bike and he reaches into his pocket to pull out a phamplet. He opens it and looks to Logan. "You must be Mr. Logan." He says as he smiles. "Pleasure to meetcha. I like this school, seems like all the girls are hot." He says as he pockets the phamplet again.

Shadowcat has posed:
"Now Logan, how many times have we told you not to scare the new kids with zombie stories right when they get here? It's much more fun to see their FACES when you come back to life after gettin' dead." Kitty gives another cheeky grin at the gruff Canadian and flashes a wink at the new kid. "You'll have to be the one to call him 'professor' Logan, Kaydin -- I just got home from university. Professors there wear robes and look sort of stuffy. He'll never fit that mold and I'll never be able to say it with a straight face to him. I can call him 'Sensei' til Limbo freezes over, but..." She trails off, shaking her head in mock-sadness. "Professor just doesn't register for me."

She jumps down off her seat on the bench and wanders around the bike to stand near Logan. "Oh boy.... they're gonna eat him alive, Logan," she murmurs in a tone of pity.

Wolverine has posed:
Logan blinks, peers at the pamplet, and says, "Um. Maybe. They are a bit younger than me, so I don't usually look at them that way." Logan looks slightly uncomfortable. "Nice ta meet ao' too kid." Logan nods, and grabs that beer. Opening this one, he takes another drink, and shakes his head. "A new crop every year."

Shrugging, Logan looks at Kitty and says, "Thanks fer the reminder, Kitty. Gets me right here." Logan taps his chest, and then burps, loudly. "Ah. Sorry. Excuse me. Guess it was gas." Winking at Kitty, he takes another drink.

"Ah kinda like "Sensei". Reminds me o' good times. An bad..." Logan frowns, his eyes losing focus as his mind tries to put his shattered memories together...then his eyes come back to focus on the two in the garage.

Looking at Kaydin, then back at Kitty, and Logan shakes his head. "Naw. I think he's got an inner fire. Ah can always pick 'em. He'll be fine." Grinning, Logan whispers, "You can always keep an eye out fer him." He winks.

Kaydin LeGraize has posed:
Kaydin chuckles at Logan when he says it's gas and he nods. "Well thanks for the vote of confidence. I know I want to do what I can with my abilities. Probably have some fun while I am at it." He says as something buzzes in his pocket. He reaches into his pocket to pull his phone out and answers it. "Hello? Hey Mom. I made it here." He says lowers the phone. "I better talk to her Nice to meet you folks." He says with a smile before returning to his call.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty waves at Kaydin as he goes to talk to his mom. Then shebounces down off the work bench onto the balls of her feet and smacks Logan with a fast kiss to the cheek before he can dodge it. "Fffffft," she snorts in amusement. "I'm gonna let them chew him up and spit him out. If he's too busy lookin' at their hot butts and not paying attention to where they're about to cream him, well... I guess he's not learnin' the right lessons, is he? I brought my katana home. Come spar with me later!" And then she cheerfully walks back toward the house. Right through the back wall.

Wolverine has posed:
Logan nods as Kaydin takes his call. "Fair." Smiling, Logan finishes his beer, and regards Kitty thoughtfully. "It's good ta' have ya' back kid. It's been...quiet without you bugging me all tha' time." Logan chuckles and shakes his head.

"Ha! Well, I can appreciate that. Hot butts are hard to ignore." Logan grins. Then he looks at Kitty. "What?" As she walks away, he doesn't look at her butt.
