When you've got a giant holoprojection room, with hard light technology, regular gyms tend to be kind of obsolete. Currently, Surge is sparring with some sort of generic ninja that was the avatar of the Martial Arts training program. Logan's training has served her well, and she continues to send electricity-enhanced blows with blinding speed. Quite literally blinding in a few cases, when she re-locates to a more favorable striking position in a flash of sparks.
- Black Rose has posed:
"You must be Noriko," suggests a new voice, as she steps into the simulation as well, and on the opposite side of the room, another hard-light hologram instructor appears. The man is swarthy, and looks rather -- well, mean. Hard, perhaps, by the set of his expression. "I'm Yana. Looking good," she admits, warmly. "Heard about you."
- Surge has posed:
Noriko Ashida turns to look at the newcomer, her ninja taking advantage of the distraction to deliver a punishing kick to her ribs that sends her back a few paces. Swearing, she presses the counterattack. "O-oh? Only good things, I hope. I don't think I've made /that/ much of a bad rep yet. Nori for short. Or Surge. Nice to meet you."
- Black Rose has posed:
"Nothing terribly bad, just that you were around. And, that I shouldn't rig a bucket of water over your door, mostly." Yana grins, just a little at the last. "I'm Yana. Not to be confused with Illyana, who everybody calls Yana. No. I'm Yana. Yana Asarov. Or, Kinetic." The other blue-haired girl nods her head, suggesting, "Nice hair."
- Surge has posed:
Noriko Ashida winces, delivering a palm strike that leaves the ninja's right arm limp and useless. "Yeah, that'd be a bad idea. I'm the reason they installed grounding rods in the showers. And in my bedroom." Another rapid flurry of strikes. "Good to meet you. And the same to you! It was /electric blue/, how could I not?" She turns to grin again, and immediately gets punched by the extremely determined ninja. "Okay, FUCK you!" She unleashes a burst of lighting that catches the black clad figure in the chest, sending it soarding across the room to smack into a wall, and then disappear into a puff of pixels. "...But yeah. Good to meet you."
- Black Rose has posed:
"Electric powers are pretty neat," she admits. "But, to be honest, kind of sounds like a pain, too." She frowns, but then offers, "As kind of my name suggests, I alter kinetic attributes to anything I want. Myself. You. A ball bearing. A playing card. Here. Like, this."
She indicates, "Begin training session 3, Kinetic." And, the man comes to life, moving to attack her. He's big. But she? She's fast. She's able to block his first attack, but -- she also blocks the second, ... and, for an unenhanced person? The man is kind of fast, especially for his size. But suddenly as Yana gets hands on him, ... it's like he's moving in a video film reel, in slow motion.
Yana steps back, takes her time, and then simple does a snap-leg-takedown on him, and then he begins to -fall- in slow motion.
"I can also enhance the properties of whatever I want. Making it more - resilient."
- Surge has posed:
Noriko Ashida ooooooh. "Nice one. That, is really impressive. ...Come to think of it, I could totally run in circles and top your charge up if you slowed me down from it... But yeah. Kind of a pain." She wiggles her gauntleted fingers. "Have to wear these if I'm out and about, or keep myself grounded out. And I can't get TOO low a charge, or else I get really woozy and exhausted. At least I /can/ function without having to use drugs to not get hyper."

"Well, at least they're unique fashion accessories?" Suggests Yana, trying to be helpful. The trainer suddenly slams into the floor as she releases him from the slow free-fall, admitting, "I have to be - very precise. Wrong adjustment one way or another, I can kill someone. Apparently, that's a bad thing around here." She gives a shadow of a smile.

Noriko Ashida nods. "Yeah... If I hit someone who's not extra durable too hard, I could stop their heart. ...I mean, I could probably restart it too, but... That tends to get me yelled at. And yeah, generally killing people's bad. ...Unless it's Hydra, then we kill the shit out of them." She scuffs the toe of one shoe against the floor. "Sooo..."

"So, who've you met so far? I mean, besides the teachers? Made any friends?" Yana asks, curiously. "I mean, you've got the cool hair going for you. So, I'm sure they're all dying to be your friend, right?"
- Surge has posed:
Noriko Ashida shrugs. "Not /that/ many so far. Well, I ran into Ellie at this shwarma place in NYC, she might like me now. And Armor and I did this tag team thing to help beat up Darkseid, which was pretty sweet. I mean, I've talked to people, but... Apparently the hair isn't actually that big a draw. Got you to like me, though." She grins.
- Black Rose has posed:
"You should meet Lexi, and Dani, if you haven't yet. They're both pretty stellar." She considers, thoughtfully. "Piotr's my favorite teacher. It could be just because he's Russian," she admits. Then, she half-smiles, "But, I'm about as determined as he is for training, and physical fitness. So. There's that. You got any hobbies, or anything? Please don't say scrapbooking."

Noriko Ashida nods. "Yeah, I ran into Lexi in the caf. And then her girlfriend showed up and got my name wrong. I saw Piotr on the grounds, he was doing gardening or something. And I met Kitty and Illyana, but only for a little bit. Like, we didn't actually get to talk." Hmmm Hobbies. "...Yeah, Kinda short on the happy childhood memories front. Mostly just training, trying not to flunk History..."
- Black Rose has posed:
"Not flunking history is a good start. So is having fun," Yana suggests. "We should go to Harry's. Bring a few others, maybe play some cards, or something. At least, when you're not trying to not flunk history," she says with a faint sort of grin. "Sound good?"

Noriko Ashida nods. "Yeah. I'd like that. As long as it's not a high stakes game. The atmosphere might be... Electric." She manages to hold a straight face for a good five seconds before bursting into a fit of the giggles. "But yeah. We should hang out. And practice some team moves. I mean, it's not going to be the next Fastball Special, but..."

"Right. Though, I could amplify your speed, tenfold. And give you some padding, to boot. Could be interesting. Still. Burgers, cards, at Harry's. Maybe other hijinks. You're on." Yana offers her hand, to 'shake on it', "Really nice to meet you."

Noriko Ashida shakes the hand, a slightly prickly feeling of static heralding the contact. "Burgers are great. And the only thing better than hijinks are shenanigans. Yeah... We're gonna get along great. I've got a good feeling about this. Nice to meet you too."
