Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Havok, Pixie

Havok has posed:
Alex had sent Pixie a message earlier about meeting for lunch to discuss her future. They've known one another for a while now and he even helped train her in power usage and tactical measures. Now that she's graduated, her future is up in the air and that's pretty much what the memo cited, 'talk about her future'. Now, having settled down with food that he prepared for the both of them, Alex sets in with, "As you know, most students, when they graduate their primary school and training, they are sent back out into the world to pursue what ever future they want to have. Many go off to college. Some end up in Mutant Town. While others join teams or take off to Genosha - if they can afford it. I was curious, what are your plans?"

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn floats on in, casually dressed, looking like she just woke up. Which she almost certainly did. She'll get some 'breakfast' and join him. Smiling weakly, she settles in,a nd nods. "To be honest, I'm not sure. I have powers far beyond what even most of us have. I should do something with it. But I don't know what."

Havok has posed:
With a slight frown, Alex nods thoughtfully. "So I'm guessing that I'm the first person to talk to you about your future?", he asks, leaving the question open ended and not point fingers at anyone. Maybe there are no counselors that would help out the students in future job placement or even X-Men roles. But he doesn't go so far as to ask. Instead, he takes another bite of toast.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn starts to dig into her hamburger, as she looks across to Alex and nods to him. "You're the first. There's always so much going on. I've taken some trips into the city, got some magic lessons. But that's not really a plan."

Havok has posed:
"Magic lessons in the city? How come you're not learning from Illyana here? Maybe have her shuttle you over to England and learn from Amanda Sefton? Who are you learning from in the city?", comes a series of questions from Alex as he's befuddled with the whole angle on it and why it's not being handled 'in house' as it should be. He takes another bite, drinks from the glass and watches Megan while she potentially offers answers.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn keeps on eating. "Doctor Strange made an offer to teach me when I was old enough, and I'm taking him up on that. I actually.." She pauses and leans in, voice dropping. "I actually managed to learn a trick. Besides, Illyana isn't very nice."

Havok has posed:
Alex's eyes go from concerned to pleased when he hears the name Strange, then nods in agreement with the notion that Illyana isn't very nice. "You're right and now I don't feel so concerned. Doctor Strange is a great guy and a very good teacher. He wouldn't train you if he didn't think you could handle it. So good. That's actually a better option in the future than most. Greenwich is also a great place to live."

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn snickers at that reaction, as she finishes off her food. Having slept all morning, she's hungry. "Well, he wasn't offering me a place to live, just letting me use his facility to practice safely. I'm used to living here. It's the only place I've known since leaving home."

Havok has posed:
Alex doesn't touch that remark, instead he has a look on his face of concern which he'll try to suppress, but he can't really repress his facial features. Instead, he will nod and say, "Cool." then try and segue with, "Well, if you ever need help. Especially with your mutant powers. I'll be glad to help with the training and additional teaching."

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn squints and looks at him a moment, before putting down the remnant of her food to just ask. "What's wrong? You look like you were going to say something, but didn't."

Havok has posed:
Alex shakes his head and handwaves it off, "It's not something I can really talk to you about. Not in an official capacity. I'm just junior staff here and help out where and how I can." He'll take another bite, hoping that the subject will be dropped. But also hoping that it won't. Just because he's a concerned mentor and so much older and experienced than everyone else here. Especially after his 6 years in the other reality <which is common knowledge among the mansion>.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn rolls her eyes visibly at that, and sighs deeply. Then finishing her burgeer finally, she snickers "Still treating me like I'm a kid. if there's something I need to know, don't let the bus blindside me."

Havok has posed:
Alex says in a slightly annoyed, but very low tone (almost a whisper), "Put it this way. I've come to realize that Xavier's dream is just that, a dream. Sure, we do some good in bringing teens here to teach them about cohabitation with flat-scan humans. We teach them to use their powers. And we teach them that the world should be this whole big happy place and people should sit around the campfire and sing kum-by-ya. However, the kids that come here, if they're not inducted into the X-Men because they have a super cool and tactically useful power, then they're kicked out at graduation. Gone, sent off to the wilds of the world and have to face the harsh truth of what is really out there. All the fucking prejudices against us. Especially us who look different. American, and most countries, society sucks. Genosha is really the only safe place for a mutant with different appearances. And for that I'm sorry and pissed off all at the same time."

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn hums. "And Genosha's not perfect, either. But, what are you saying? Does there need to be a community formed outside of the Institute, in town here, to help with the transition? Is that what you think needs help?"

Havok has posed:
"I don't know the fix. But I've seen what doesn't work here and in other places. There's just really no support for you all when you graduate. And that's not at all beneficial. I've been told that Emma Frost may have options. She's helping funding our position here and may offer more beyond just high school. Maybe scholarships for collge. Maybe even work for those who don't want college. Maybe there needs to be a place called, "Beyond Xavier's" where, like you say, gives people a place to go. But I can see that being a huge target for anti-mutant groups. And I'd hate to say, that may also build the stigma of being a half-way house." - Alex continues to keep his voice down and has a slightly aggitated tone to it.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn considers this as she dusts off the last bits of her food, and tidies up a bit. Dabbing the corners of her mouth with a napkin, rubbing her hands in it. "A halfway house?" Once in a while there are still bits of American culture that are beyond her. "As for me, it wouldn't surprise me if the X Men could use me. I can fly. I have a powerful dagger. And now I can teleport."

Havok has posed:
"If it were up to me, that would be a definite option. You'll need to approach Scott with that. Show him what you can do. He's seen the footage of you in the danger room. It's just a matter of whether or not he thinks you're safe or trainable to be out in the field. I think the trainablility is there. Safety is a question I'd have presently. But with the proper training, you'd be quite effective."

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn snickers and shakes her head. "Safety. Goodness. Because whether we're fighting genocidal monsters, the first thing we need to do is make sure we're not taking risks."

Havok has posed:
"Safety as in for yourself and others around you. You don't want to present as a weak link and taken down in the first shot. Your safety is just as important as the rest of the team. I've seen you fight. You're a lot better than you were three years ago. But you still would not be able to handle some of the baddies that the X-Men go against. "

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn nods. "Alright, that's a good point sir." She takes a breath, and pauses a moment to bus her tray, before coming back to sit with a refreshed beverage. "It seems to me my newest magic may be a good part of that then."

Havok has posed:
"Best defense; no be there." states Alex in his best Pat Morita Asian accented voice. "Meaning, if the teleport is fast and agile; then yes. It would be spectacular. Plus, like Kurt, you could change the angle of the assault. Not just straight on, but from behind. That will definitely require some training to get right on an individual and team level."

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn reaches back behind herself, and when her hand is lifted again, she has in her hand a glowing pink dagger, that looks like it's on fire, but ina pink, magical way. "An attack, you say?"

Havok has posed:
Alex smiles, "Yeah, poke the big bad with your little dagger thingy." He chuckles, stands with his tray and takes it to the reclimater. "But you've got the point, if not in your hand, the idea. Teleporting behind someone, stabbing them, always good. But don't be there when they turn around to take you out."

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn looks incredulous. She holds up the dagger in both hands. "Dagger thingy?" she repeats, and then sighs. "I'll need to get faster at the teleportation but..." She then mutters something quickly, and in a blink, she's sitting behind Alex.

Havok has posed:
He'll see and feel the shift, look around and smile, "Perfect." comes his remark. "That'll come in very handy. What's your range?" is the next question before he shifts to look directly upon her.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn fingers the dagger in her hands, before then reaching back to put it down the back of her jeans. "I don't know. Idon't now if there's a limit. It might just get harder the farther I go."

Havok has posed:
"Now we just need to paint you magenta and call you Blink, v2.0." He comments before adding, "So we'll have to get it all in order. However, I'm sure that Strange will do just that since it's a magical trick."

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn pffts, as she gets up to walk back over to where she was sitting before, where her beverage is. "I don't shoot frickin laser beams, and I'm not super strong. But what I can do, I can do. Doc thinks I should get teleportation better before Itry to lear any other magic."

Havok has posed:
"That's good advice." Alex states and will clean up the rest of the table. "With magic, your scope is endless. So best to study hard on one trick at a time. Which I guess is why it takes years to master the magical arts. Decades even."

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn smirks. "Don't tell them that. Let's focus on what I can already do. Thank you for the suggestions." She then gets up again, and comes around to try to give Alex a quick hug.

Havok has posed:
He wasn't expecting the hug and when she drew close he said, 'wah?' followed by an "Oh." and the hug is received and returned. He smiles, "Glad to help. And like I said, we'll get this sorted out and on track to get you better with your abilities - least in conjunction with what Strange teaches you."

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn smiles and stands up, taking a step back. "Do you think you could help me set up the meeting with the ladership?"

Havok has posed:
Alex will nod and say, "Of course. I'll send out a memo helping to set the foundation for the argument of letting you train for the X-Men. We'll go from there."

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn gives a thumbs up. "Thank you sir. Thanks for the talk. Actually, before I go... was there anything else you wanted to discuss?"

Havok has posed:
"I did have one other question; Do you and Jubilee talk casually? Meaning, are you two friends?" Alex takes advantage of the seque opportunity and pushes the other subject.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn laughs softly. "That's an abrupt change of subject, sir. She's a bit older than I am, so we're not that close right now. So no, can't say we are." Obviously she's pretty well known though.

Havok has posed:
"Cool. Anyway; We'll talk soon." And with that, Alex is out. He's got things to accomplish regarding Megan's future and people to talk to.
