Cast of Characters: Wonder Woman, Bizarro

Wonder Woman has posed:
Since the invasion there have been strange sights of parademon left overs throughout the eastern cities of the United States. It had lead to a lot of 'clean up' jobs for the Justice League, and this is precisely what Diana Prince - Wonder Woman - was doing here today in the park on an October evening.

A parademon had lunged out of the sewers, it had been already severely damaged and seemingly at the end of its ropes for going on much further... but even still, it posed a huge threat to the standard civilians of Manhattan. The police had cornered it near a drainage pipe next to a water filtering system in the lake that resided in the middle of the park.

Diana was there, on the edge of the lake and the parademon was stalking in the shadows. She had her sword and shield out, she was eyeing the thing, waiting to see what it would do next.

Bizarro has posed:
In a mind and body where everything is mixed up and a world that, to him, seems even more so Bizarro is used to just being places. Like some party, then checking on, being savaged by, feeding, playing with and tucking Kitty Olsen into his bed (as it makes sense. Kittens get full sized beds, people get baskets) Bizarro found himself in costume and in the city.

Doing the one thing that makes sense. The one thing he is. Being a hero. Or... he would be... but someone's hiding all the heroing to do from him. No out of control dynamites filled with exploding buses, no robbers to not splat... but, maybe, in the park, there'll be some people carelessly throwing bins around which he can make the people put back in their litter.

Lumbering his bulk along he sees something. His keen instincts tell him it's something that needs heroing. Whether they want it, not, or if it'll be considered a good idea after the fact. Approaching the lights, seeing the pilce he approaches one of them... then turns as there's someone already heroing here. He sighs and his face falls.

Then, there's not an idea. He won't ask if the hero not need help! He brightens and approaches Wonder Woman in a blur of superspeed backwards running. He coughs, politely for him, like one trash compactor eating another to everyone else, and he says. "Goodbye. Me am Bizarro. You not want help any catching..." He looks over where she's tracking and sees the... something... with his superhearing. "... thing?" Looking didn't help. He doesn't know what it is.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana was waiting for the cornered parademon to come out, she knew it would.. it knew she was waiting... there was a bit of a standoff and she wanted it to end out here in the open rather than she having to go into that large dark pipe that had had its gate ripped off by said injured parademon.

But it didn't look as though the creature was going to comply with Wonder Woman's desire and she sighed and resolved herself to going forward and putting herself onto the attack...

... At least until Bizarro suddenly appeared and Diana literally did a double-take to her right when she saw him... in his Superman-like outfit and his physically startling appearance... Sure, to the average person, he might really startle them, but to Diana Prince it was more of a 'What is this?' kind of calm reaction.

Diana took her eyes off of the parademon in the drain beside the lake and she looked solely upon Bizarro. "Who. Are you?" Diana suddenly asked, her Greek accented English was heavy with curiosity now.

Bizarro has posed:
Staring at the drain in case it gets any ideas... is the drain the bad guy? Maybe not. Maybe. Bizarro says, "Not repeating." One slab of a hand clonks against his chest. "Me Bizarro. Me am hero." Sometimes, some things, come out the right way. "You not hero? Not capturing... something?" He still is unsure as to who or what is being hunted or why but his uncanny Bizarro senses are tingling and has decided he's on the right track. He points to the offending drain, maybe it robbed a pavement for its loose change?

He looks bright, cheerful, enthusiastic, oblivious to the lack of sense he's making and proud. Usually conversation is a weak point for him, like his personal invulnerability, so he continues, "Me want to not ask if not need help. Me hero. Can not hero off... whatever thing is." Advanced thinking. Who said he was backwards? Him. Almost everone else. Still. It matter.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana would just watch Bizarro as he replied to her in his broken English (or what she at least perceived it to be) and she would slowly start to nod her head... assuming this was some kind of a mutant perhaps? Who was a big fan of Superman? She wasn't sure as of yet, but he clearly was at least empowered with abilities of some kind, the way he'd arrived alone had shown her that much... after for the splitest of moments, she'd actually thought it HAD been Superman who'd come to appear at her side.

"Right..." Diana said with a sly faint grin. "We are hunting a parademon, but he's gone int--"

Diana was cut off by the sudden explosion of water from the lake, white water waves going in wide arcs in all directions out from the water as the damanged parademon had swam itself under the water from the drain and decided to try to surprise attack Diana and now Bizarro as well!

Diana's reflexes were honed, however, and before the Parademon could slam into both she and Bizarro her shield came up and she blocked the Parademon's initial attack and then batted it straight up into the air!

Bizarro has posed:
Bizarro's mind moves quickly. However, due to the ever shifting tangled cable-mess that is his mind, some of the results may vary as to how much he does understand. As the parademon flys skyward thanks to the keen instincts and fast reactions of Wonder Woman, he digs through the air after it saying, "Go! Lineangel! You take that drain away!" As he goes further opposite to gravity to catch up to it and throws his arms around it to give him a... friendly hug... as he'd say it... translations are available.

Bizarro has decided the parademon has stolen the drain and has is telling it to stop and give it back. Yes, the fact that the drain was something he pointed to and is not missing contradicts this. Absolutely he is not being as clear and concise as he thinks he is. Even if both those things occured to him and someone kept explaining them... it wouldn't matter. Heroing needs done. Catch the bad guy and hand him over to the appropriate authorities. Even if it was the theft of a drain... it still matters. You have to get people to respect the little crimes as well as the big ones.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana would slowly lower the shield down past her eyes so she could look up into the air and see that Bizarro had gone skyborne to go after the Parademon that she'd just bashed up into the stratosphere... water droplets from the lake spilling off of her shield and clingint to the black locks of her hair around her shoulders.

Diana heard Bizarro's shouts, she glanced at the drain for a moment and wondered just truly how messed up this man's mind really was?

The parademon, however, was suddenly grabbed by Bizarro and its battle damaged head looked down and glared eye-to-eye with the Super Hero! It suddenly ROARED right into Bizarro's face and began to thrash wildly!

Diana shot skyward as well, launching off of the ground causing all the emergency service personnel and news reporters to also look upward.

The Princess of Themyscira rocketed into the air and came to meet up with Bizarro and the Parademon.

"Throw him!" Diana shouted, motioning for Bizarro to toss the Demon right at her?

Bizarro has posed:
Bizarro frowns when it struggles and growls. Breaking the law is one thing. Trying to destroy every reality simultaneously is another. Being rude... is a mistake. He growls back at the thingy-whatsit. Complete with a warning. "Stay still? Be quiet? Me Bizarro say... warm up." He then blasts the what-did-she-call-it-again with his freeze vision, encasing its head in ice.

Reverse witty one liner appropriate to action taken? Check. Heroing on course for success. He then sees what Wonder Woman says and hears her gestures. "You want me throw up? Me throw up." Okay, they aren't really any different height in the air but he assumes he's a little higher. So down equals up. Throw was clear and un-Bizarro-ed so, with a grunt, he turns to the appropriate angle, releases his grip and throws with a headbutt/knee to the groin combo to the wait-the-name's-on-the-tip-of-my-tongue. So there's some lateral force to propell it to her. He can't use his arms as he just released them. He's simple. Not stupid.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Okay so this guy was kind of adorable, and kind of creepy, and kind of effective all at the same time and wrapped up in ap ackage that looked like he stole a suit from Superman that was made wrong by the confused Chinese factory that Superman gets his suits made out of. (Lets all hope thats not where those actually come from!)

When he threw the iced up Demon, Diana watche it go soaring through the sky... and she adjusted her course and flew with it! ... just a little beneath it... When it started to fall the Princess saw its eyes glowing brighter and brighter inside of the icey helmet until finally they blasted their way out of it with energy beams sending an explosion of ice everywhere!

The parademon roared at Diana! But it was his last action he'd ever take... The Amazonian's sword hand swept through the air and it detached demon body from demon head!

The parademon's body went tumbling back down toward the central park lake below while the head was caught by Diana and she held it with her sword hand and flew back toward Bizarro. "-Who- are you?" She asked him again, the two of them hovering up in the air together, the decapitated head held in her right hand next to the grip of her gleaming sword.

Bizarro has posed:
... he's not going to say it... he's not wise or clever or witty... he's not going to say... "Him really not get a-head of himself." He's hiding the snigger. Badly. After a moment he stops and puts on a complicated expression. Like someone who really doesn't get a subject at school but has been going to after school classes and doing practice questions and, now, it's the day of the exam and the nerves and doubt are fighting the hard work that's being put in...

But he won't give up. He heard the inflection. It wasn't what is your name. He takes a deep breath and explains as best he can. "Me am Bizarro. Always will be. Then them say him..." He pauses to stay on the story and not get distracted by the name, or the feelings it evokes "... Superman have bit added on. Make copy. Them say copy get better and fix. Them there am me, Bizarro, and them know how."

Another deep breath. This is advanced talking and, usually, people mock him at this... "Me know. That what them say. Me just not know one day, gradually, there was no Bizarro. People call me freak. Failed Superman. Them say me make sense, talk back side up and front to down. It matter. All matter... me be hero. Not need people hate me or not to that do."

The expression changes again. Half waiting to flinch, hide, recoil like always. Half relieved he'd managed to get through the words. Half hopeful, curious even, in case, this time, he made some sense. It doesn't all add up. Neither does he.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana would adjust her gear while he spoke and she watched him, listening to every word he said. Her round shield was put back onto her back and reattached to the clips there to keep it hanging from the leather harness around her torso and the sword was put back into the sheath there as well. The 'head' she held onto in her right hand, at her side.

Though he words weren't the easiest to understand, she got the distinct impression that he was trying rather hard to speak as clearly as he was capable of... and what she was gathering from his words, sounded very bad.

Diana closed the distance between them where they were both hovering above central park and she reached out to place her left hand upon his right bicep. "You... are no freak." She told him in a calm and hopefully comforting voice. "What you did here today was both helpful, and heroic." She was trying to digest the gravity of what he'd just told her, specifically that he had been the result of an experiment to clone Superman? Diana exhaled softly...

"Have you had an opportunity to speak with Superman himself... on all of this?" Diana would ask then, her pointed chin slightly dipped down and her black eyebrows lofted up above her blue eyes, curiosity adorning her face.

Bizarro has posed:
The touch causes him to look at it. The look's clear. It's something new. It takes a bit of time to sink in. Like when some kind person finally explained push and pull were backwards on doors. He still didn't get it for a while after but, when he did, he never forgot the patient person who explained the concept to him. Firsts are new and stick stronger in the moving mishmash of his head. Bizarro taps it and looks back to her. "Some bit clear. Some bit fuzzy. Can't remember all future. Him Superman love me. Me know why."

He sighs and goes to speak, then not, then he tries again, "Say what them say false. Me need speak him. Him love speak copy. If copy then that done for not weapon. Even me not know that. If what them say true then him love me for other thing. Me remember what..." He shakes his head to reinforce the point, albeit inverted, "... but him love much. Help everyone make him more happy either way by not talking."

He goes back to looking at the hand. It's unfamiliar, like the tone and approach... so far there's lots of things he'll work out later. Even he knows he has better and worse moments... but early indications are it's not unwelcome. Just new.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana's hand would come down from Bizarro's elbow and she'd rest both at her sides now while she hovered there in the sky. She'd listen to him, but his words were so broken that it was very hard to understand them, but she could tell that they were centered in a heartfelt place and a place that didn't seem to contain any hatred or malice toward Superman... or anyone else. That was enough to make Diana of Themyscira, happy.

"Do you know where the Justice League's headquarters are?" Diana asked him then. "The Hall of Justice, in the heart of Metropolis?" She asked further, but didn't wait for an extended answer before she continued...

"I want you to meet with me there." She told him. "Go there as soon as you are able to. I will arrange for Superman to come as well, so that you can have a chance to speak with him and we can figure out a place for you in all of this."

Diana would eye him after she spoke these words, she'd search his face for signs of him understanding her. "Does that all sound good to you?" She asked, showing him then a faint and hopeful smile.

Bizarro has posed:
Bizarro takes further time to listen. And further again time to process it. Depending on how calm he is depends on the level of mistranslation. In moments, like now, when he's calmer, he understands everything clearly. He even understands people will try to talk the way they say he speaks and can re-flip the meanings to keep up. Most of the time, most of what he says will be messed up one of many ways. But what he hears... is usually clearer.

a furtive frown flits across his lips for a moment. She's uncovered his real super-weakness. Geography. He can navigate... just not orienteer. Without a map, or landmarks, or somewhere he's been before... places keep moving about. So, he does cheat a bit and super-run about hoping to find places he's supposed to go to.

Hence, why he's not admitting it. Not very becoming of a hero to use those powers for the more mundane like that. In his simple world it's like he ate ice-cream without really fininshing all his vegetables. A little guilty at what he does, a lot ashamed for not being able to do better.

He answers... "Hall?" He shrugs and shakes his head. "Metropolis" He nods enthusiastically. "But me can lose off map. That sound..." He nods again. He doesn't want to push his words too far. He then offers a tentative smile of his own. Not his usual of pulling an expression as that what people want to see. One just because... He's not really sure of it all. But. The bits he does understand right now count for enough for him to try the harder way.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Unfortunately Diana didn't have a map on her, or she would've certainly provided it to the man in front of her. She had to just hope that he understood what she said and would listen to her instructions. "I have to go and tend to this." She said then, momentarily holding the severed Parademon head up a little.

Down below there were police officers trying to wade through the lake water to fish the body of the demon out... Diana didn't want them to do that. It was still dangerous.

"Find me." She told Bizarro. "Look for Wonder Woman, at the Hall of Justice." Diana would say these words with a confident singular nod before she would turn and give one last look and then she'd swoop down belong to retrieve the body of the demon and have a few words with the police.

Bizarro has posed:
He returns the nod as the other hero departs. It'd take more talk than anyone could really manage to explain it. Even if he knew it himself. Most things are mixed up. Muddled on their way out of his head. But it goes in and sticks well enough. So. Hall of Justice. Metropolis. Find Wonder Woman. Safely stored in there. He has maps at home. Or did. Maybe. Depending on who's played with them and for how long.

On her turn he nods a second time and says, "Hello." Before gaining altitude and checking off one thing on his mental list for today. Heroing. Done. Next. Find shop, give money, get kitty food. And a map. Just in case.
