Cast of Characters: Shatterpoint, Robin (Wayne)

Shatterpoint has posed:
There is someone new within Gotham City. They mostly stick to Old Gotham and Burnley- the Narrows, specifically- but their actions cannot really be denied, anymore. It started with some of Gotham's lowest lives, ending up in the hospital. Stange broken bones and contusions, along with subdermal muscle lesions galore.

These patients continued to increase in number. Daily. It was always the worst sort- ex-cons almost exclusively, many accompanied by police in the middle of arrest, most involved in some manner of crminal activity- store robberies, muggings, and less savory. People are crying vigilante, some new entry into Gotham's night life. In response, most of Gotham's street gangs are arming up. Heavily. From pistols to automatics to even more devastating weaponry in some rare parts, the kind of thing that Batman walks the line between brutal and too brutal to avoid. Whoever this person is, they're a bit more aggressive than is particularly tactful or intelligent.

For a few nights, they were some sort of ghost, unseen or unknown, with varying descriptions. Then, Canary ran across her, and was able to provide the Bat family with a proper description. According to Nightwing, it's spot on- and there is a lot of information to be gleaned from Nightwing's facial recognition. Likely, this is all still somewhat classified, and limited to the Bat.

However, for the world's greatest detective, and his attachments, she is not at all hard to find. He has her under drone surveillance at all times. Once again she's spotted in the Narrows, having confronted a few gentleman that had set up in ambush. Keeping her under surveillance at this point is difficult, and anyone looking to confront, or more directly observe, is likely to catch her after the thugs are mostly, if not entirely, dealt with.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
There may have been briefings, but Robin, at least this Robin, was a bit more quick to show up. Giant flapping wings and a harrowing SKREEEEEE! in the sky, and Goliath the bat-dragon swoops down, allowing Robin to survey the streets. If someone looked up they may indeed see the crimson coloring of the hulking monster.

Shatterpoint has posed:
Caroline isn't looking up, though one of the armed men does.

By the time the non-prefixed Robin is properly observing, the fighting is over. No shots have been fired, this time, and most of the thugs are unconscious. Standing over them is a single person. Wearing a black sweater, and assumedly a rather plain pair of pants and shoes, she has the arm of the last man conscious in the vicelike grip of her right hand. There is a moment's conversation- where she apparently says something followed by his screaming.

"I don't know! I swear! I don't do the buying, just the shooting, I don't know who we buy 'em from!"

The crack that follows, of the bones in his arm splitting, is loud and resounding. The only thing that drowns it out is the noise he makes due to the pain.

It's strange, though. She doesn't have the leverage to break his arm- or, shouldn't- the way they're positioned.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Goliath touches down, stomping over to the group. "When you cause enough trauma, they just go into shock and become even more useless." Robin quips, still atop the Bat-dragon. The lack of leverage is noted, but he has seen enough metahumans that it doesn't cause him much pause. "You really want answers, dangle them over a high rise and let them fall just a couple inches."

Shatterpoint has posed:
    Now she's seen everything.

As Goliath approaches, Damian astride, it becomes obvious that the air is much colder around the woman than it should be. The man on his knees is shivering, clutching wildly at the hand gripping what appears to be his broken forearm. Her attention shifts, and she drops the arm. He immediately starts to shift and crawl away, but apparently some previous injury is outright preventing him from standing up and walking. He won't be going anywhere before the police arrive.

Without a word, she looks to the young Robin. He's made the first move, now he has her attention- the only question is what he wants with it, if anything.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Robin looks to the woman, narrowing his eyes. "You've been quite brutal on your prey. Trust me, I applaud it. I wish others would be so...robust with their jobs."

Damian hops off of the beast, though Goliath maintains an eye on the both of them. His tail swishes with caution, something about her isn't jiving well with Goliath it seems.

Shatterpoint has posed:
The woman is silent for a good half minute, and in that time Damian is able to glean that she is as unnatural as the situation would seem. Her eyes are... Strikingly glowing, a radiant, luminescent blue. After that pause she does speak, but it's not comforting, and not pleasing on the ears. It's like a death rattle, a groaning, monotonous noise twisted into words, that hitches and lingers on certain letters and syllables as if it no longer knows how to properly pronounce them- or, simply, cannot.

"The point is to keep them away. Death is pointless... But lessons are learned with pain."

She isn't likely to jive well with any animal of any kind, save maybe cats. She unnerves them- like she unnerves most -people-, really. Animals are just more forthcoming about it.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
"I agree with you, I really do. It just seemed like you were trying to get info from that piece of scum." Robin answers, though her response does make him reel back a bit. So much that even Goliath puts his paw on Damian's chest, telling him to move back, which he doesn't do. That action garners a snort from the big fuzzy Bat-dragon. "You're freaking out my friend here. Not an easy task."

Shatterpoint has posed:
There is a pause, as she looks over at the cowering criminal, who is still trying to get away. "I was." she offers, the unsettling tone of voice not necessarily diminished by the fact that she's facing away, despite that she's a little bit more difficult to hear. "Someone is supplying them with weapons. Their increase in hostilities is due to my methods, I have been told." After a moment, she turns her attention back from the crippled criminal to Damian. "I have been trying to gather the information on who is supplying them. The method is not precise, but I have time, and material." Clearly, she's not in a rush- and understands that there is no shortage on criminals.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian isn't so put off by the info, but he thinks he can make a bit of progress there. "Hey, asshole!" Talking to the criminal of course, stomping over to him, pressing a boot to his leg. "What group you with? Answer me and there may be some painkillers in it for you."

"Unless they are getting the gear from someone new, there are only two gunrunners in the city. One is very loyal to the Russians, the other, is only loyal to money."

Shatterpoint has posed:
Caroline watches the smaller crimfighter work, one brow edging upwards. She's silent while the man cowers, but almost certainly, there is nothing he knows. After all, arms dealers work with competent individuals, and leaders- at the moment, said leaders are huddled in basements, expecting a bat or two to come knocking... The typical response to a step-up in vigilante activity.

"It sounds like I should visit both of them, just to be thorough. I need their names."

It's not a threat- though admittedly, nothing she says -doesn't- sound threatening. Nor is it necessarily a demand. She's just... Very forthright.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
"I bet you do." Damian says. Not much really he will say at this point.

"One serves as an informant for my group. And given your...proclivity to violence." Robin looks to the cowering thug. "And you, get to go to central lockup. Hope you enjoy."

Shatterpoint has posed:
Her eyes narrow. With the glow to them, it'd have an effect on someone less willful than Damian. To him, it probably just looks menacing, but isn't likely to do anything more than convey that Caroline isn't someone to trifle with. Impressive thing to do with a gaze, but for Damian it'll almost certainly prompt a more rebellious response.

    "And the other?"

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian returns the narrowing. He isn't to be trifled with either. "Quid pro quo." He says, maintaining a steely gaze. He wants something in return it seems.

Shatterpoint has posed:
Her expression shifts momentarily, though since she has a pretty aggressive case of RBF it's difficult to tell exactly how much more bothered by the situation she is. "Typically there's a set of terms listed after that statement."

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
"There's going to be a time when I may need your particular set of skills. I'll give you the name, if you will assist me when that time comes. Nothing deadly, and nothing that will go against your...ethics." Robin offers, giving a bit of a shrug. "Or refuse, I won't hold a grudge."

Shatterpoint has posed:
With an impassive glance, Caroline looks between the young Robin and the thug on the ground. The police are almost certainly on their way, so they haven't a lot of time. "I get to know the why beforehand." There is an implication that she won't abide by assisting with something... Nefarious, but at the same time, it's hardly anything for Damian to worry about. He's -totally- not nefarious. "Otherwise, that sounds... Fine."

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Robin looks to his gauntlet, a holo-display shows an ambulance and a black-and-white en route. "Deal." Robin flicks the display around, and a slim gentleman shows. "Your first shitbag arms dealer is Vasily Yrevna. Arms dealer to the local arm of the Russian Mob." Tattoos abound on this guy, indicating that he is connected to them by more than just business. "If that one didn't deliver the goods, then let me know, and I'll have a chat with my guy, with sharp objects involved."

Shatterpoint has posed:
There are a pair of nods, each half the size of a proper nod, but she's a very muted individual. After a moment, she speaks. "You won't be seeing Vasily again." she offers, before simply slipping her hands into her pockets, and moving to walk off. She doesn't necessarily have a bat to fly off on, but all the same... That doesn't seem to matter.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian gives Goliath a soft pet before hopping back on the Bat Dragon. "Let's go, there's more to look out for tonight." Goliath merely snrfs in agreement before taking off again.
