Coffee, Burgers, Animated Paper Cows

Synopsis:	Wherein magical books are regarded dubiously in favor of a tiny paper cow.

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore passes by the front of the store riding a gigantic paper airplane, like a cross between a middle school prank and a witch on a broomstick. After a few seconds delay, the plane swoops down again, a bit slower.

Only a moment later, Miyako goes fast-walking in the front door, snatching a crumpled up paper plane out of the air, glancing over, and lightly dunking it into a trash can. She gets out a bottle of hand lotion and massages it into her hands as she looks around, crinkling her nose a bit and sniffing, nonchalantly glancing around and smiling in a non-threatening sort of way.

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
Kae blinks curiously as she looks up from her book and ummmms "Magic shop yes? But Normals do come in here and all, so might tone it down a teensy bit less ya can mask it and stuff and keep folks from noticing?" She says with a slight smile... The redhead is currently sitting on a recliner a book in hand and what appears to be a small dragon of sorts curled up and sleeping in her lap.

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore looks over and blinks, then smiles quietly. "Do people here.. care? Because the secret thing? Sailed when my first spell went off in front of a TV camera, after they interviewed me. We have alien invasions. We have giant nightmare worms hidden in the park that come out in the middle of fundraisers. At this stage? It would almost be suspicious if I," she points at herself with a scarred ruin of a hand, "WASN'T doing things. And I stop a lot of places. Is this your place?" She slips the hand lotion back in the side pocket of her messenger bag.

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
Kae shrugs slowly "Yup it's my place and all." Kae responds and smirks "Folks like to come in here and relax, best not to go wildly advertising things yus? Even if the locals have a good idea of what's going on." Kae adds with a bit of a grin.

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore mmms, "You have food, and coffee, and stuff like that, right? Can I get some? I had to talk to police about something I helped them do already today. I'm kind of thirsty and stuff."

She climbs up into a chair and sits, looking over the menu and the napkin and so on. "Has there been anything going on around here? Scooby-doo things, or places not to go, or places to go, or stuff?"

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
Kae motions to the counter "Food prices and specials are listed behind the counter as are drinks." Kae says with a slight grin. Behind said counter is a young woman wearing a witche's outfit complete with hat. Her hands are crossed at her front and she smiles to Miyako "Halloo, how can I help you?" Her little tag on her chest says "Wendy"

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore ummmms, "Hi Wendy! I want, uhh... I guess just like a basic sandwich meal? With a bunch of stuff to drink. I'm really thirsty. The, uh, diet on that fountain there, maybe. I'm sorry, did I scare anybody coming in or anything?"

She crinkles her nose and sniffs a bit more. Some indeterminate amount of stuff to smell. Hrm. Curious. So much stuff that might or might not be what she noticed! And she never did get an answer.

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
Wendy blinks, and shrugs gets the biggest glass she has fills it with a nice iced tea, then starts putting together a sub sandwitch... She also gets a big bowl of soup, and smiles before saying "So that will be ummm.." She rings things up... "9.57 please!"

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore gets out some moneys. $12. And pays that. Then starts running her fingers over the countertop. "...That is sooo coool." She pokes at the counter a little. "This place isn't going to dissapear when my back is turned or anything, right?" She knows.. *A* ward, I guess, but this stuff is totally out of her minimal expertise. All sorts of cool information! That she doesn't quite know how to read! "What did you do to this counter?"

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
Kae tilts her head "Ummm, counter shelves, pretty much everything here is enchanted to some level.. I'm an Artificer, Wendy there is my apprentice, Tina and Tanya both are studying under me as well... Things are put into place to make sure those who live and those who choose to shop here are safe and sound." Kae says with a slight smile... "And no, this place isn't gonna dissapear, less I have to move it and it won't be because you peruse our wares.

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore oooohs. "Okay. I don't know how any of that works. I just.. do what the paper says I can." She picks the paper napkin up. ooh. square paper towel. She looks between the napkin and her hand on the countertop, pondering.

"Sometimes it can explain things better than others, I guess." She hmmms, distractedly flipping a couple corners on the napkin over.

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
Kae nods and tilts her head "Sooo maybe you should study some more?" She says with a slight smirk, the woman tilting her head "Plenty of texts here available for sale if you think they can help." she says, allways happy to help someone other than her self progress magic.

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore shrugs a little. "I don't know how I would study it. I know you always read stories about wizards reading books and stuff, and I never did. So I don't know HOW I am supposed to learn new stuff, not really."

She quietly makes a couple of folds in the napkin, not even needing to do the usual creasing and folding to get the folds right. "I just kind of get an idea, and *do* stuff. But it's all more or less the same kind of stuff."

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
Kae tilts her head "Well ya can start reading up on basics or maybe research your abilities..." Kae suggests with a slight smile.

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore mms, "I mean.. Hmmm."
She folds a couple bits of napkin over, "I want to do something.. And then I pick up a piece of paper.."
She picks the whole thing up and shakes it once. "and then I get this idea about how to do it.."
She puts it down on the countertop, "And it works."
The paper napkin cow turns brownish, makes a soft 'moo' sound, and starts grazing peacefully on the countertop. "But I don't know what that's even called or anything."

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
Kae ooh's and nods... "Again, research is the key, all magic users realy need to make use of research." She says and grins a bit... "Might look up origami magics and the like from basic magic treatices and such... Might help you in the future.

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore ohs. "Do they even *have* those? There isn't a lot of people who do magic things. So there won't be many people who do, you know, little special things in it." She watches the cow roam the countertop a moment. "And even then, they might have done it different? So I don't even know where to start looking."

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
Kae motions to her shelves "If we don't have something that you can glean info off, we can find it." She says with a slight smile... "We buy and sell books for magic and the occult... "

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore hmmms, looking at the shelves in total bewilderment. "How did you get started? Did you start by reading books?" She frowns and stares more at all the many many books about stuff she has no clue about. Beside her, the cow moos. She takes a bite of food absently. "Also, I don't have that much money."

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
Kae shrugs "The books up front here can help and don't cost much." she responds and shrugs a bit... "And I was apprenticed at a younge age. Also both my parents are part of the mystic community, as are my sisters.... Soo you could say it's a family thing.

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore ohs. "So.. you read books. You started with books." She tilts her head at Wendy, who isn't next to the counter at the moment, "She probably started with books too." She sighs. "I'll think about it. But I still have to ask around. I'm Miyako. Origami for the news. It's good to meet you all!"

Kae shrugs "Think of it like a private tutorship, so books, learning, practical studies... Direct teaching from my master... " She says and then motions to the rows of books "There's bound to be something here that can help you... Most things here top out at about 35 dollars, so feel free to peruse... I Needs grab sleep and put a dragon to bed...
