Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
    It was a quiet night for a change on the Watchtower. Zatanna had just left for the planet, leaving Hal Jordan to take over as the JLer on mission monitor duty. Just in case. Since it has been a few weeks since the whole Apokalypse Invasion, and the defeat of Darkseid, things have been relatively...calm.

    As the instruments beeped and whirred, Hal takes a drink from the mug of hot choclate that Zee had brought him before she left. It was piping hot, and had little coloured mashmellows floating in a bit of a whip cream foam. Taking a sip, Hal smiles, and says, "Nice!" Squinting a bit at the pain, Hal blows on it absently.

Green Lantern (Rayner) has posed:
Outside of the giant, transparent window that overlooks the monitor room of the Watchtower, a giant, floating, incredibly detailed, green TIE fighter streaks by, the tellteam scream of the twin ion engines echoing eerily. "Ha! Did I get you??" comes a voice through the comm system. As the TIE fighter dissipates into motes of green light, a green-aura'd figure floats in it's space, waving. "Sorry, Hal. I couldn't resist." The floating figure waves, looking tiny against the inky void of space behind him. "Hang on, I'm coming in." Streaking off in a green stream of light, the figure known as Green Lantern Kyle Rayner dissapears from the viewscreen. Minutes later, he exits the lift to the monitor room.

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
    Taking another sip of the hot chocolate, Hal Jordan leans against the counter near the read out for something or other..."Let's see...life support, check. Defensive systems, check. Check, check check. All's well." Hal nods, and wipes the foam from his lips with a smile.

    As the green TIE Fighter appears, Hal frowns, and shakes his head when Kyle suddenly pops into being. Smiling, Hal taps a few buttons, letting the access doors to the Watchtower open to allow Kyle in. "Yeah, you got me." Hal chuckles as Kyle arrices from the lift. "Not bad, although, I would have used an Interceptor myself."

Green Lantern (Rayner) has posed:
Kyle laughs, running his hand through his hair. "That would have been good too. I'm just not as good with ... you know... real aircraft and such." He rolls his eyes and leans against one of the consoles. "Not as bad as when I went on patrol with Jon once... He literally tore down and critiqued every construct I made that night." A glowing charicature of Jon Stewart bubbles out of Kyle's ring and looks dissaprovingly. "You have to understand the engineering fundamentals behind every one of your structures..." lectures the figure before fading away again.

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
    "Ah. I'm not too bad with real aircraft." Hal smiles and takes another drink. "I'd offer you some, but I think that Zatanna whipped it up using her magic. Man, she got it just right." Hal finishes off the hot chocolate, and puts the mug on the desk.

    Hal laughs and almost spurts the hot chocolate out his nose. "That sounds EXACTLY like John." Hal shakes his head. "He is a bit...anal when it comes to those things. It's the architect in him I think." Hal shakes his head. "So what brings you out and about tonight?"

Green Lantern (Rayner) has posed:
Kyle looks at the mug of chocolate longingly. Zatanna's hot chocolate? Kyle's heard legendary stories... but never been lucky enough to been the recipient. Tearing his eyes from the mug, he smiles at Hal. "Just... I dunno... it was a little too quiet in the apartment tonight. Couldn't sleep. Thought maybe I'd do a little ring slinging and you know... get out of my head for a while." Kyle stretches his arms over his head. "I flew around Coast City for a while. Thought about going out to Central City and looking for Wally, but he didn't answer his comm earlier... Figured he was busy. Anything happening here tonight?"

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
    "Huh. Yeah, I hear ya. Been through a few nights like that myself." Hal nods and says, "Wally...ah yes, Kid Flash. Been looking at chatting with Barry lately myself. You'd think, for guys that fast, they would be easy to get in touch with." Hal smiles.

    "Nope, nothing around here either. Quiet." Hal nods, and adds, "Well, it's nice to have you back aboard. How are things with you? Ring Slinging doing it for you? I hear that you have been doing extremely well!"

    Hal slips in a compliment, which was actually the truth. "It's good to have you helping the Green Lantern Corp out. We need all the help we can get!" Hal smiles and nods.

    

Green Lantern (Rayner) has posed:
"Well... It's an honor, sir." Kyle looks a little embarassed. "I mean... it's an honor to even hang out with you guys. I just ... you know... try to keep up." Kyle looks down at his ring which seems to be flashing to get his attention. "Huh. My ring is telling me that there's a disturbance out in the asteroid belt. Maybe I'll take a quick run out there and see what's going on. Probably just a stray asteroid to herd back into the belt, eh?"

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
    Hal regards the young man with a smile, and a strange look. "AN honour...well, thanks, but I'm just a normal guy like anyone else. Just like you." Hal points his left hand index finger at Kyle. "Let's skip that part, and go into being friends." Offerring his right hand, Hal says, "Hal Jordan. You can call me Hal."

    "As for the disturbance, go ahead. Be my guest. Let me know if you need backup." A smile. "Welcome to the team."
