Wonder Woman has posed:
The Themysciran Embassy in Manhattan - Late afternoon.

When Artemis would arrive, she'd be greeted at the door to the Embassy by two of the Amazonian women that were with Diana in the United States. Queen Hippolyta had recently granted Diana four Amazon volunteers to travel with the Princess wherever she went, as a show of faith hat the Queen was dedicated to her people knowing the world 'better'. Diana often described her mother's actions as 'baby steps'.

What Hippolyta hadn't excepted was that the morning of the sign-ups to go with Diana, she'd found a literal army of Amazonian women all wanting to put their names on the list of hopefuls.

The four who'd been selected had been selected by Diana herself though.

At the door, two of them met Artemis, Adrastea (a redhead) and Rislie (hair as black as Diana's own). The women seemed guarded to see Artemis, but they were friendly enough. They escorted Artemis into the Embassy and down the central hallway to the double-doors that lead to Diana's office.

The doors were opened and Artemis was sent inside.

Diana was behind her desk, she was wearing a close-fitting white long sleeved sweater and she was typing away on a laptop. She stopped when Artemis arrived though and she stood, smoothing her dress that matched her top in its white shade. Diana's black hair was tied back in a tight braid that fell past her shoulders.

"Artemis." Diana said in her heavily accented English, she came around her desk, to extend her hand. "It is good to see you again." Her voice was calm and casually soft.

Artemis has posed:
As the hand is offered, Artemis extends her own but she grips Diana's forearm instead of the Patriarchal way of shaking hands. It is the greeting of one warrior to another and a sign of respect amongst her tribe. "It is good to see you as well. I appreciate you allowing me to see you on such short notice." She was surprised when they worked her into the schedule so quickly. Despite being the second-class citizens in the Amazon world, Diana was showing her respect by doing that. It was not someting Artemis would fail to notice.

The women outside didn't surprise her. Considering at one time their factions had warred, their suspicions were based in fact. Although they didn't truly battle, the plans had been there. Artemis had vehemently argued against as Amazon should never battle Amazon in her mind. They ere all the same. If only everyone in their peoples believed that.

"I am going to be here in the United States for a time and I felt it was proper to let you know officially."

Wonder Woman has posed:
For her part, Diana had been away from her people (by and large) for the better part of the last 100 years, and because of that... she'd grown used to not shaking other people's wrists, but she didn't skip a beat in sharing in that tradition with Artemis here and now. Of note to Artemis, Diana did not have her Amazonian bracers on her forearms... they were, in fact, resting on a custom built stand on the edge of her desk a foot or so from where her laptop computer was.

Diana would smile to Artemis, because it was true that some on Themyscira might consider Artemis' tribe to be 'second class' ... but that was not the princess's viewpoint. No one was second class to anyone else, to Diana.

"Please, come and sit." She motioned to the sofa and chairs in the corner of her office that was setup for more relaxed meetings such as this. "Can I get you something to drink?" She'd ask while starting to walk toward the little kitchen area beside the furniture.

"I appreciate you thinking of me and coming to see me, but I want you to knwo that I have no intentions of... lording over you, Artemis. Should you have business here in Manhattan, then I am merely just eager to help you if I can at all do so." The princess would say while offering a light smile as well.

Artemis has posed:
At the offered seat, Artemis gives a brief nod then moves to settle onto one of the chairs. She sits a little stiffly at first but soon relaxes into the comfort of the material. "No, thank you. I don't need a drink," she reponds automatically as she looks around the office. The bracers on her stand hold her attention for a moment. It seems strange to her to have them off. Although, she hasn't lived in this world as the Princess has. Perhaps that is why. She dismisses it as she continues.

"I didn't expect you to do so, Princess," she assures, automatically using the title she knows is proper for Diana. "I simply though it would be polite. I have begun a quest for the legendary weapons that were taken from Bana-Mighdall. Primarily the Bow of Ra. I am not sure where the search will lead to but I intend to remain until it is completedly. It is meant to be wielded by the the Shim'tar thus it seems right to begin the quest." She considers a moment, tilting her head as her long ponytail falls across her shoulder and onto her lap.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana would turn away from the drink area then and she'd move instead to sit across from ARtemis in a chair. She'd cross her legs at the knee and place her hands atop each in her lap. When Artemis spoke of her quest, Diana's pointed chin would lower just a little while her eyes would focus on that of the other's own.

"I have had some... minor leads on these items throughout my time as an antiquities dealer, but sadly I do not have any knowledge of where they might be found today. My belief... however... is that they are in some wealthy peron's ownership, locked away in a vault perhaps. But..." Diana frowned very faintly and she shook her head. "They have never surfaced, to my knowledge."

Artemis has posed:
That earns a little frown from Artemis. Her lips twist down and she drops her gaze to her lap. Coming to this world, she tried to dress as they do. A pair of black pants cover her legs although they are admittedly made of leather and not cloth. Her top is red, a camisole shell that leaves her strong arms and shoulders bare. Black boots cover her feet. There is nary a weapon in sight but they both are well aware that means nothing.

"That is disappointing," she admits as she flicks her green gaze back to the woman across from her. "I suppose it wouldn't be a quest if it were easy though. Hera willing, I will find a lead that can be followed. The gods are picky about wanting us to earn instead of simply letting things fall in our hands." That makes her expression shift, lips twisting into a wry smirk. "While I am here, if you should need assistance you know you have but to call me. You and yours will ever be my sisters. "

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana would smile at the last part of what the other said and she'd give a very slight and affirmative nod to Artemis for it. "Thank you." She said quietly, a honest sense in the way she said it. A moment later and Diana was rising up to her heel-shoed feet again. "Let me get you something." She then said as she moved now back toward her desk where her laptop was.

"I have contacts in the antiquities world still. Let me get a list, they can set you up with all manner of information that you may not yet have access too. It could potentially help you in all of this." Diana would spend a moment on her laptop pulling up all the information.

"I want you to have my personal contact information as well, so that you do not have to go through the formalities of public channels to contact me here at the Embassy building... I would feel far more comfortable if you were able to contact me outright." She'd say this while pulling up the needed information.

Artemis has posed:
The genuine caring and niceness of the Amazonian Princess has Artemis feeling at a loss. She hadn't expected such. She's not sure what she had expected but it wasn't her being quite so hospitable and helpful. "I thank you again, Princess." She gives a respectful bow of her head as she says it. Reaching into her pocket, she pulls out a cell phone that looks brand new. It actually is. While she knows how to work some technology from this world, it is a bit of a challenge for her and she isn't as savvy as Diana who has lived here for so long. In Egypt, they were secluded from most of the world and thus avoided such things. Her exposure to the world in the past has given her ideas though she really hasn't put them into practice.

Seems that is about to change. She puts her finger on the screen and it unlocks, allowing her to access the contacts information. "I admit I have no idea so those contacts will be very helpful."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana had watched technology grow over the course of the past 100 years and she'd embraced it for the most part, especially in the ways that it benefited in medicine and the quality in which history can be recorded and shared with others to benefit all of man kind. At the same time though, Diana was against technology overly-interfering with one's life and she was very much against cell phones at dinenr tables distracting people's attention away from one another and the conversations at hand, so you would never see her with her own tech out unless it was for needs like this...

After a moment, the information was transfered to the device in Artemis' hands. "There." Diana said with a soft smile. She'd turn to look at Artemis again, sitting straight up in her chair and her hands going to the edge of her desk. "Contacts both here in New York and some in Europe. The closest is the Curiator of Antiquities at the Natural History Museum. I would suggest establishing a line of dialogue with him first, feel free to use my name, as it should help... At least I hope." Diana showed a small playful grin.

Artemis has posed:
As the information transfer was achieved, Artemis was watching very closely. Each touch of the screen, each area accessed. It's all filed away for later. "You hope?" she echoes before she can stop herself, glancing over at Diana as she tucks her phone back into her back pocket. "You parted on good terms or...?" She leaves the question open ended as she shifts forward in her seat, sitting now on the edge of the cushion.

Mnetally, she is considering how to open a dialogue with someone about a topic like this. For her, everything is straight forward. The concepts of subtlety and tact are foreign. If the Curator will be needing delicate handling, she is going to need to know going in so she can find someone else to handle that part of negotiations.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana would show a small smile at this question and she'd look down to the top of her desk and give a light side to side shake of her head, clearly recalling fond memories of a different time.

"When I was the Curator for Antiquities at the Louvre in Paris, he and I would ofter communicate in e-mails and... bicker over topics related to our various fields of interest. But it was always in good nature and passion over a shared love of all things... experienced."

Diana would look back up to Artemis and she'd give the other a broad and warm smile. "If he turns you away, then I will just have to march right in there myself and find out what his Stuffy Old Reason is." She'd grin again and give another headshake.

"I will e-mail him and let him know that you are going to be setting up an appointment, if you'd like?"

Artemis has posed:
At the commentary on the Curator and how Diana will handle him, Artemis gives a brief smile. It's tight and cautious, as though it is not an expression she wears every often. In truth, she likes to keep her emotions well in check and not reveal them. Yet, the Princess has made her feel so at ease her, the momentary lapse is not botherwsome to her. This time.

"Yes, and thank you. I would like to speak with him at his earliest convenience," Artemis says as she rises to her own feet. "I will call him tomorrow to arrange." She shakes her head a little, the ponytail shifting behind her body. "I don't know how to thank you for all of this. Your assistance is a blessing."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana would nod her head from where she was seated in her leather office chair. "I will send the e-mail to him here momentarily then." She'd say before standing again after hearing the rest from her removed-kinswoman.

Diana moved around the corner of her desk to stand at its edge a few feet from Artemis.

"Look, Artemis..." She said, trying to bridge a semi-awkward topic. "You are welcome here. This..." Diana's eyes looked around the room. "Home is sovereign land of Themyscira, the Embassy here and the Consulate in Metropolis. I want you to know that if you need a place to rest and feel comfortable while you are here State-side, then you need but come here to have it."

Diana would offer Artemis another soft smile and then extend her hand again for another shake. Peace was Diana's mission, harmony and tranquility were her goals.

Artemis has posed:
The two are truly polar opposites yet the serenity of Diana cannot be denied. She is a presence that shares her tranquility with those around her. Artemis is no diffeent. It's a bit awe inspiring.

She takes the offered hand, again automatically giving the grasp of wrists that fit the warriors they both are. With others, they may get a handshake but a Sister In Arms deserves more. "I will consider your offer. I may need a place for a time although I do intend to find a place while I'm here. I don't like owing people and that feels too much like charity. We shall see." She releases the grasp and gives another brief nod. "I thank you again for yur time, Princess. I will let you get back to your duties."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana would give the woman a gentle nod after sharing in the formality of the forearm-shake and she'd then glance to the exit of her office where her two Amazonian sisters were again waiting, they were adept at knowing when it was their time to return to escort Artemis back where she'd arrived from.

"You owe me nothing, Artemis." Diana told her then, she'd give another faint smile before adding. "Contact me if you need anything. I am here to help you." Diana would then take her hand back and place them together, inter-lacing her fingers with each other in front of her stomach as she'd watch the woman leave. Once gone, she'd move back around her desk to send that e-mail to the American Museum Curator... and give him some playful digs as well, for old times sake.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana Prince says, "I was Faith's player. Just too busy to retain the role."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana Prince says, "I very briefly played Buffy too until the current player showed interest, so I turned her over. That scene where Buffy was in the graveyard and Willow was looking for grave dust, that was me."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana Prince says, "Its a common place thing if players agree. Jessica Jones is related to Indiana Jones."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana Prince swoops in with more gasoline and pours it all over theh levy! "I saved the day again!"

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana Prince says, "I have seen Sarah in here looking for training from a number of experienced fighters. I believe she's up to something..."
