Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Deadzone, Cyclops

Deadzone has posed:
In the gym, the area where the students and X-men alike work on their physical development, Tatum is working out on the mats. The batons she would usually use in combat are replaced with hard foam copies, resting against the muk yan jong, the wooden martial arts dummy. Her hair is worn in a high pony and she wears tight capris and a tight tank top along with her sneakers. Tatum doesn't have anything to assist her combat skills, no strength, no durability, and so she needs to train regularily to keep herself at the level of some of the other on the team. Plus, it lets her fit into those outfits she loves to wear.

Cyclops has posed:
Scott steps in the gym, dressed out in gym shorts and a shirt proudly exclaiming 'Property of Xavier's Phys Ed' along with a combat visor. Sneakers squeak gently against the lacquered floor. "Tatum." He says, hopping around on the balls of his feet, warming up and staying limber.

While Scott was familiar with kicks, his preferred method of fighting was boxing. Maintaining swift on his toes allowed him to sidestep easily, or even counter-attack. "You up for a spar?" He asks, performing some stretches before giving a smile.

Deadzone has posed:
Tatum is already quite limbered up, so when Scott comes in to work out and asks her to spar, she just turns to him and grins. She backs away from the muk yan jong and rolls her shoulders while grinning. "You should know by now that I'm always up for whatever you can throw at me, hot stuff." She brings her hands up to a lazy defensive pose, not quite ready to start just yet. "So, sparring? Thee quarter speed? No contact? Or full and full?" She wants to know just what she's getting herself into. "And do I get to use your pressure points?" Oh, the smile with that question is downright devilish, as if she is really wanting Scott to say yes.

Cyclops has posed:
Scott inhales sharply, stretching out his neck to the left and right. "Full, Full, Yes." He didn't need three quarter speed, or no contact, he needed to work out, plus it was beneficial for both parties. It also helps that their medical facilities can heal most serious injuries quickly.

"So, given that. You still up for it?" Scott offers, boxing a bit with the shadow, quick strikes and sharp exhales.

Deadzone has posed:
Scott's allowances for the fight, full, full and yes, are like music to her ears. Most people aren't willing ot have her use the pressure points on them. "Oh, I'm up for it. But don't be surprised if we're both in the medbay after this," she says with a grin.

Now that the rules have been set, Tate's posture gets much more defensive. She slowly steps around the edge of the mat, keeping Scott at a safe distance, watching him carefully. Hrmm, this world's Scott doesn't have the same holes in his defense. This got even more fun for the null.

Cyclops has posed:
Scott dances on his toes, swiftly moving from foot to foot, strafing around and back before he can get close enough to Tatum and perform a couple jabs to spread the waters. He's trying to size her up, not really looking to make a hit so far.

Only after a set of jabs does he really go in. A quick left hand jab to fake out, followed by a body punch with the right hand.

Deadzone has posed:
Tatum's combat style is based in a mixture of martial arts, taught to her by a guerilla warfare master. She uses what she needs to get he job done. The initial jabs are easily defended. She doesn't back away, wanting to be in close. She smirks as they spar. "You know, that visor is an unfair advantage. I can't see where you are looking at." Mind you, someone experienced in fighting knows not to telegraph their attacks by looking at them, instead looking their opponent in the eye as Tatum is now.

The secondary attack comes at her, the jab defended quickly and letting the body blow come in. She grunts at the punch, but then jabs two fingers at the radial nerve at Scott's tricep.

Cyclops has posed:
Scott smirks, looking to Tatum. "Situational awareness, but if you insist." Scott continues, only to have a pressure point tweaked. His reaction to such a move is of course, to perform a leg sweep, followed by a leap backwards, trying to gain some use back in his arm.

Deadzone has posed:
Her feet swept out from under her, Tatum arches back into a flip, coming to her feet a fair distance from Scott. The smile on her face is enough to let Scott know that she is enjoying this rather thoroughly. "Hope I didn't hurt you too much. Fingers numb?" she taunts.

Cyclops has posed:
A small huff from the X-Man before he clenches and unclenches his fist for a bit. "Just fine, haven't had my points tweaked in a long time." Scott approaches again, faster this time before he continues with a flurry of three punches fly towards her.

Deadzone has posed:
The sparring goes on for a goodly amount of time, both X-men breaking into a sweat and both giving as good as they get. When they are finished, Tatum gives Scott a friendly, but not overly friendly, hug to prove that there are no hard feelings. "You hit harder then your double on my world. Mind you, your double said my combat skills were lacking, so maybe he always took it easy on me."
