Casey Jones has posed:
He remember. Clutching a big bag full of chinese 'delicacies' from dat place she likes, a suit-clad Casey Jones enters the apartment. "Yo, April!" He calls out as he enters. "I got a surprise for you! I remembered!" He makes a little gesture with one hand. "I guess i do love you!" he announces as he moves towards the kitchen table with the bag in one hand. 'There is a box of wine in da fridge, sweetcheeks. Wanna open it up?"
On the plus side, he remembered, right?

April O'Neil has posed:
April was in the 2nd bedroom (that used to be hers when she was a kid) which was now converted into a video recording and internet streaming room where all of her uploaded videos were filmed and edited. She was talking into her headset and recording audio for one such video when Casey came in and her eyes looked to her left and out into the living room, she saw him and showed a soft smile before she looked back at her monitor and finished up what she was doing.

Once it was done, the redhead stood from her computer chair and stepped out into the living room, closing the computer room door behind her. She wasn't dressed quite so formally, she just had on some black track pants and a bright yellow hoodie. She walked toward where he went and eyed the food.

"Oh, you're a life saver... That smells so amazing." April would move to offer him a hug then. "I'm glad that you remembered." She said, head on his chest/shoulder.

"Wait." She said, her eyes opening. "What did you remember?"

Casey Jones has posed:
HIs hand settles on her backside in a warm squeeze. because he can. He lives her. he soaks up the hug. Its a rare gesture of real affection. His affection is more the hot and sweaty kind. Casey leans down to kiss her. "Innit a year now, doll?" Casey suddenly is showing panic. Did he get the wrong date? Is he late? "Aw hell, April, have I got the days messed up?" He asks. "I get hit in the head a lot. I am so sorry." It never occurs to him that she might have forgotten, or that she is just screwing with him. He assumes its him. "I mean, almost halloween, you and me? We got together after meet'n the boys. Did I screw up the dates, doll?" He looks down at that. "I'm da worst. I'm so sorry."

April O'Neil has posed:
April smirked at his hand grab, but she knew it was one of his favorite things to do so she generally let it slide when she was in a good mood! She parted from him though, cause well... food.
Herspril sat down at her table at curled her feet up beneath her on her chair while she went to pull the food out of the bags and listen to what he was saying. A grin came across her lips.

"You're not wrong. I was just giving you a little trouble there, ya big nerd." She said at him while unwrapping some chopsticks.

She grabbed a couple of her favorite boxes and looked up at him then. "The guys want us to come down there this weekend, apparently they've setup a huge haunted house in the sewers and they want us to be the first through it... Although, I'm not sure who else will even be going through it at all... but, whatever, they probably know a bunch of other female reporters and they just act like I'm special."

April shot a grin up at Casey then. "You look so handsome..." She told him, admiring the suit. "Like a banker!"

Casey Jones has posed:
"Yeah a banker who need a haircut!" he grins at her and he leaves the suit on. He casually struts into the kitchen to get the box of wine. After all, dis is a big occasion. He has this easy air about him. When he comes back out.
"They know tons of hot girl reporters. They treat you special because you da hottest." he kisses her quick. "Da smartest" Another quick kiss. "And da toughest." He gives her a final kiss and then starts to work the spigot into a glass for her. Fancy for him.
His smile is soft and he drops a necklace box into her lap. He looks nervous. "Maybe not a ring yet?" He says, looking almost scared. "Only gonna do dat once, and you ain't seen me at my worst too much. Need to hold off dat. But..."
It is a pretty necklace, one he has een her looking at a few times.

April O'Neil has posed:
April would close her eyes and smile as he did the small kisses and then that last one she'd actually return to him before her eyes would open again when the jewelry box was deposited into her lap and she'd look down at it and get a big smile.

"You're distracting me from the hot eats!" She exclaimed excitedly. "With... the best distractions possible!" A grin was shown to him as he worked at the drinks and she opened the box to see the necklace which made her sit back in her chair and just put a hand over her chest.

"Casey." She said to him, looking over at him. "You're the sweetest!" April got up from her chair then, unfolding her legs, and walking over to him to kiss him again. "This was in that shop at the World Trader Center mall. I thought you were in that Sports Store while I was in the jewelry one." She gave his arm a light backhanded smack then and went back to staring at the pretty jewelry...

Casey Jones has posed:
"I suck." Casey says. "I do. I mean I am bad at dis. I get into fights. i smack people around. I can get upset and pitch a fit. There are nights where you worry about me even coming home." Casey leans over and his fingers reach to pick it up. He blushes as he fumbles with it, to try and put t on her. "MOve ye hair?" He prompts.
As he tries to get the necklace on, Casey admits. "Dat's why no ring." He clears his throat. "Not yet. But I'm thinking 'bout it. You should to, okay?" He feels awkward, "But I say you look'n at dis, and its pretty. It made you smile. So now it's yours!" Ugh. Feelings he is floundering. He looks almost pained.

April O'Neil has posed:
April was weeeeell aware of Casey having trouble with his feelings. When they'd first met, he offended her with just about every other word that came out of his mouth, maybe more-so even. But he'd come a long way, once he'd learned that he could lose her if he didn't really try and treat her right, there'd been some bad fights this past year, but they both enjoyed elements of one another enough to get through it.

April smiled at him as he went to put it on her, she reached her hands up and pulled that dark red hair up and held it at the crown of her head in a fashoin that took the majority of it off of her slender neck.

"Well... I appreciate it--all of it, what you've done tonight, Its sweet beyond words, Case." She looked at him and grinned. "Don't worry about the ring thing, we got our whole lives ahead of us, there's no reason to rush at that right now. Besides, we both are trying to do something important, you know? Save lives, expose the truth, stop criminals."

April would let her hair back down once he had the necklace on her and she'd place her fingertips lightly upon its glimmering chain, and then go to kiss him again.

Casey Jones has posed:
He kisses her neck. it's an oddity for him to be so subtle and sweet in his affections. "Yeah." he agrees huskily. "Just not ready to be dat selfish. I'm a meathead. Wait'n a little bit longer before I make it too hard for you to get away." Casey admits. "Gotta play fair. You are too good for me." Casey pushes a hand through his hair and settles down next to her to pop open another bow and ladle out some steaming food. He lapses into quiet. Too abashed to talk about his feelings anymore. His jaw is starting to harden.

April O'Neil has posed:
April sat back down aside him at the old kitchen table that had been in this kitchen since her parents moved in back when they were Casey and April's age... so many years ago.

"Oh stuff it." April said at him and shoulder bumped him while sorting out her dinner. She picked up a box of fried rice, dumped a bunch of orange chicken into it and then leaned back in her chair facing him, putting her legs out across his lap.

"You're a crime fighter, Casey... Maybe not like Superman or Batman, but you're a crime fighter all the same." She smiled at him between chopstick servings. "You're -my- crime fighter, and I love you for all you do for this neighborhood. Its where we grew up, where we want our kids to grow up someday too."

April could just picture the Turtles if they were here now, all groaning at the mushy-mushy talk between the two.

Casey Jones has posed:
"Quid it." Casey answers. She maybe pushed a little too much there? He's upset. Not because of what she said being bad. "Too much." She is talking about their kids, and him being a hero, and... it's not why he does it. "I love you too." He says, almost sulking. "I wanna have babies wit you too. Big, yuuuge boys, and pretty little girls who look like dere momma, all sweet and beautiful, so I gotta be mean to the boys dey bring home. But I.. can't talk 'bout dis yet. I..." He's gonna get over a little more hurt and pain.
Casey is going to bust someone's head open here tonight, and feel real good about doing it. He actually rubs his hands together.
She said something. His eyes are showing a lot of white He's scared. "Mebbe." He pulls in a breath. "Mebbe you could help me find someone who would mebbe help me get a little better?" He is asking her to help him find help. "'Cause I am scared I'll hurt'cha and the kids, and that is why I gotta have my on space, and alla dat."

April O'Neil has posed:
April took her legs off of his lap then when he got super serious all the sudden and she just leaned forward and put her elbows on her knees. She looked at him in the eyes while she ate some of her food and after a moment she took a drink from the glass he'd prepared and she shook her head.

"You're not gonna do that." April told him then. "Its not like you to be like that. You get mad at criminals, Case, you're not one of them." She put her head over on his shoulder then and she leaned against him. "I trust you, Casey Jones. You're a good man. Maybe one who gets a little worked up, but you get worked up for all the right reasons. I haven't once seen you get punchy-mad over something that wasn't a good reason."

Casey Jones has posed:
He actually looks a little choked up. "I just get mad." Casey says simply. "Just a fair shake is all. Willing to work, you should be able to make it. We do awright, and I ain't the sharpest tool in the shed." He looks over at her. "Quit be'in nice, or we'll start work'in on those kids now. Ruin dat figure of yers." He pushes his chair a little closer to hers.

April O'Neil has posed:
April took her head off of his shoulder and she elbowed him in the side not too hard though! "Someone has to be nice, you're always cuttin' yourself down, and thats one'a the reasons you get angry. You're out to be your own worst enemy, Casey." She then sat her food container back down on the table and looked over at him with a grin and a headshake. "You're not ruining my figure, this figure is hard work... biking non stop and the gym every other afternoon. So you watch it, Mister!" She stuck her tongue out at him then, just messing around with him now.

Casey Jones has posed:
HIs elbow gently nudges her. "Those ten pound baby boys you are gonna have whats gonna ruin it, April!" Casey counters, giving her a playful look. His wink is full of mischief. "Thanks. Not just for tonight, but for just about the best year of my life."

April O'Neil has posed:
April shook her head at him. "Nope, no way... I got four huge boys who live in the sewer and eat half my paychecks worth of pizza. Not going to be squeezing any more out any time soon." She said with a big grin on her lips as she lenead back against the wall that the kitchen table was pushed up against.

That past year that he referred to had included meeting those four boys only days before she'd met Casey himself. "It has been a pretty good one, even with all the danger and mayhem and... assholes dressed up as ninjas. One of the best of my life too. At least since my parents have been gone anyway." She gave him a softer smile then.

Casey Jones has posed:
"I know! They eat us out of house and home." he rolls his eyes. "How did he raise 'dem before we came along. I mean... Raph was here this morning. He raided the fridge."

April O'Neil has posed:
April shook her head and smirked. "They're just bored down there." She told him. "I think it was easier for Splinter before they got twice his size and started to lose some of that childhood awe-shine over the martial arts teaching that he was giving them day in and day out. Now that they're in their late teens, they want to get out and explore... you know, so its just gotten... hard for the old wisened master."

April would stand up then to go and peer inside her fridge. She sighed. "He ate my yogurt? He hates yogurt..."

Casey Jones has posed:
"Yeah. He said we had noth'n good." Casey shovels some food into his mouth. He calls in after her. "They need to respect him." Casey says softly. "He's a good rat. Man. Rat man. man rat/ Good guy!"
