Shadowcat has posed:
The Watchtower is a place of vast wonder for the slender brunette making her way through it. She's far more cautious of her identity than she was the first time she came up here, being as it's the first time she's come alone, but there was a file J'onn asked her to read, and so Shadowcat made her way back up to the Watchtower to do her 'homework' from the Martian Manhunter. She's sitting in a chair to one side of the Monitor Room -- but she's not exactly working. More or less she has that gawking expression nearly everyone gets the first few times they look out the windows of the station.

Flash has posed:
There is a red streak of light coming down the hallway as the speedster is running down them again. "Oh I'm late I'm late..." he says to himself really as at this speed the sound of his voice would be lost to the wind that him traveling would cause. The light seems to just flow down the hallway taking to the walls or the cieling for short bits of travel as he has to dodge past things on his way to the moniter room. He had not yet met the new person yet, and he ment to be there when she arived, but as usual something came up, and now he was running late yet again.

With a "whooose" he enters the Moniter room stopping in the middle of the room blowing any papers away as he stops looking around. With a smile he spots the new person. He is a bit surprised to see it is such a young girl, and sure he could of read J'onn's reports but they were so dry he had liked reading them before he had to sleep more then in the middle of the day. He zips over to stand next to her.. When he speaks it is quick, like one with lots to say, but he is just used to speaking that way he knows it can get on peoples nerves, and Batman hates it, but he does it anyway. He is wearing his crimson red outfit with the lightning bolt on his chest the one everyone knows as the Flash. "Hi! Nice to meet you newbie.. Well maybe not new I heard you had some experience in stuff like this, but I would feel wierd calling you a veterian." he gives a small smirk of a smile, and holds out his hand. "Names Flash, ya know fastest man alive, Justice League member, blah blah, It is nice to meet you finally I have heard great things from J'onn though I haven't read his report yet... Those reports are so boring sometimes... J'onn is a great guy don't get me wrong... Oh look I am rambling.. I am going to be quiet now and let you say something... please say something." and he rubs the back of his head a bit embarassed though he does fall quiet finally.

The swoosh of papers flying as he stops brings the young woman to her feet and around to meet him in a smooth motion that seems common to martial artists. Brown eyes land on the red uniform and widen slightly. "Hi," she offers after his rather rushed -- and kind of long -- introduction speech. Reaching out to take his hand, she doesn't seem in the slightest intimidated. In fact, she seems rather amused by him and has a kind of calm about her that he doesn't seem to be ruffling overmuch. "Shadowcat," she tells him. "Very nice to meet you, Flash. And although you may feel weird, I guess I could be considered a veteran," she laughs easily. "The X-Men kind of don't let you stay a rookie for long." Tilting her head, she asks curiously, "What did J'onn actually tell people about me?" She hadn't been aware that he was going to fill people in very much.

Flash has posed:
Flash shakes her hand, and still smiles, with a quick shake of the hand before he falls back to picking up papers in a 'flash' putting them back where they belonged. Though before one might blink he is right back standing infront of her.. "Shadowcat huh..." he zips around her a bit, "You do not look like a cat, no puuurfect puns, or nothing." he chuckles a bit before continuing, "But if that is what you wish to be called Shadowcat it is! Well lets see what did he tell me... Well okay.. I will be honest he didn't tell me." he looks around, and leans in whispering.. "I knew he was up to something.. So I may of asked around a bit... I knew there was someone new, and that today they were supposed to be here, oh.. and they had previous experience." he doesn't even seem to stop for breath, or if he did it was so quick it was hard to notice. "An X-men though wow.. First time I met an X-men.. I think what they are doing is great.. well beyond the making kids fight.. To be honest I really don't like that part, but who am I to judge right?" this time his chuckle is a little more akward, but he quickly change the subject.

He continues again after a moment this time he is sitting down just a little bit away in a chair.. "So Miss Shadow, you seem rather calm about this whole thing.. You sure you are not J'onn in disguise again.. He always gets me with that, but he is so calm about things.. You do know it is okay to smile, or laugh.. We are not all broody up here. Some of us actually have a good time up here.. Though I will say don't tell Bat's that he will get mad at me again, and just brood at me so hard it will stare a hole in my costume." and chuckles again.. "So.." he counts on his fingers.. "Shadowcat, a veterian, and an X-men.. What else is there about you one should know? Are you alergic to anything? Umm... Are you the Queen of some unknown world? Would ya like to help me get J'onn back for his last trick?" he grins. "I don't mean to pry... well okay I do a little bit, but still like to know the people on board I think we should be friends since we are all stuck in this saving the world thing together!"

If her brows weren't trapped behind the mask, Kitty's would be up to her hairline by now. "Wow... do you actually think as fast as you speak? Or is it just that your mouth opens before your brain has time to catch up with what you want to say and it's already left your mouth?" she wonders. Her tone isn't mean -- actually, she's quite fascinated. She doesn't have a lot of experience with speedsters, really. And she grins at him. "UHm... in order of query. I'm a computer genius and occasionally have been known to short-circuit electronics when I don't pay attention. No. Sort of. Maybe, although I'd have to know what his last trick consisted of first and why we're getting him back." Now she waits to see if he can parse the answers at all.... and whether he'll follow up on any of them!

Flash has posed:
Flash chuckles, "Actually faster, I am slowing myself down so you can understand me.. You will get used to it, everyone gets used to it eventually. I can slow down if it is a problem I am just excited to meet someone new it has been so much time, and well to be honest everyone is so serious around here all the time I was hoping to see if there was another person that was fun!" he stops, and takes an actual breath.. "All the people here are really nice, well other then Bats of course, but he is a big softie don't let him fool ya, everyone else is super cool.. Hey you meet Wonder Woman yet.. No wait.. Answers yes answers first.

He thinks about it, "Wait.. a computer genius that short circuits computers.. That must be tough, I mean I know after using the computer myself for a while it gets hard to focus, and well... to not melt the keyboards. You would not believe the amount of keyboards we go through here," and grins again. With a shrug, he looks out at the stars and actualy falls to silence. "J'onn was playing a role as a pretty lady at the bar.. Didn't tell me about it, was on the second drink before I realized sooo mean I tell ya!" and grins to himself.

"I was thinking about itching powder in his suit, though I am not sure how it would interact with his alien body so I haven't yet.. It really isn't funny if someone gets hurt ya know so got to becareful.. Yes.. very careful!" then he turns, "I am into science myself, I wouldn't call myself a genius, maybe middle tier at best, but I love to see how things work, what it causes and trace things back to its origins.. I know it sounds silly, but we all leave prints of ourselves wherever we go if you know how to follow the trail you can find the origin.. It is very intresting, but I wouldn't bore you with details." he thinks about it, "I hope I didn't offend though I really am intrested in learning about you since your here with us, I know I can move kinda quick, but I thought of at least thirty more questions, and then narrowed them down a bit before I asked the ones I did.. It is the curse at moving at the speed I do.. Light-speed thinking, movement, and awareness means everything else moves soooo slow, if that makes any sense, so to you it is fast but to me it is just normal if not a little slow.

Pursing her lips, Kitty has her entire focus on him. And she seems to actually be following along on his train of thought. Mostly. "It was tough when I first got my powers, but not so much now. Only happens when I want it to... or when I'm in a hurry sometimes." She grins. "I'm a phaser -- out-of-phase with this reality sometimes. Like J'onn, only a bit different." She considers. "I'll consider what kind of practical joke might make him laugh, but I don't know him well enough yet to know his sense of humor. Only that he's an interesting guy."

Kitty has to think about how to respond to the other part of what he said. "Kind of sounds like you're a detective. Pretty cool," she finally says after parsing his comments on the little bits of oneself we leave behind. "I don't think I'd be bored with the details at all. But go ahead and ask some of your other questions." She laughs. "I might as well satisfy as much of your curiosity as I can in the first go-round."

Flash has posed:
Flash listens to her, and nods.. "That is tough.. J'onn's sense of humor is rather... different.. I have a hard time with it myself. I think we should put a pin in that one for now, just don't tell him I brought it up as I really don't want him to see it coming. Though he might already J'onn's powers are more then just phasing, but I get what your saying! That is so cool though did you know I can kinda phase as well? I mean I don't really leave reality, but move my molecules so fast that I can pass through objects.. here look!" he holds up a hand, and his hand starts moving back and forth slowly though it looks like it is more for your benifit to show what he is doing then it picks up speed fast till it is a blur. After that he pushes it through the chair.. "oooh.. ahh!" he adds before pulling it back out again slowing down. "It is only short term of course I can't do what you two can do, it is an awsome power I mean you can be untouchable so no-one could really stop ya!" he nods to himself.

He then thinks about it, "Oh... and umm no I am definetly not a detective.. No not at all! I mean.. psha.. a detective." he gives a nervious laugh to show maybe she was closer then he would like. "Your really smart though I mean you put the details together, and came up with a working, if not correct mind you, but a working theory! I mean I do that too, but I think way faster then most people so it isn't really fair to compair. I am truely impressed... But lets move on to other questions.. Lets see.. Why did you join us up here? I mean you have the X-men, and I bet they would keep you busy, why join us? It isn't that your not welcome... Of course you are I am glad your here, but I am curious why, and what you hope to get out of it?" he then thinks again though to her no time might of passed. "Oh, and do you like coffee? There is a killer mocha latte up here that is soo good.. I had three of them before I came up here.. Actually one moment." he blurs out again, and for a moment he is gone just there one moment and gone the next. It isn't long before he returns though maybe a minute or two.. This time he has popcorn in a bowl, and is chewing on it as he just appears again in the chair.

He apperently moved way faster then he did when he entered as there was no blur this time just poof gone.. "Oh sorry... did you want some.. I was so hungry, and I forgot I put popcorn on before I left!" he offers her some if she wants to take it, but returns to eating either way. He does try to chew what food he can and not talk with his mouth full so there are more moments of quiet before he continues. "How bout just those two for now... I don't want to overload tha genius mind of yours!" an grins at her.

His brain is moving so fast... holy moly! Kitty finds herself nodding along as he talks, and she can't help the idle speculation that he's perhaps protesting FAR too much on the detective thing. Huh. Interesting. But she has her own identity to preserve, at least for a time, so she leaves that one alone. Trust is earned, not demanded. The momentary pause while he runs off for a whole minute amuses the crap out of Shadowcat, and she's smothering laughter by the time he returns. "The three mocha lattes kind of explain the hyper on top of the speedster," she comments mildly. "No thank you on the popcorn."

Then she pauses and sorts through her answer to the larger question. "In point of fact, I'm not exactly a member of the Justice League. More... an adjunct. J'onn apparently liked the lines of research that I was working on during an internship at STAR, and then when he learned who I was and what I can do... he offered to help me train and hone my abilities further. The X-Men do keep me plenty busy and I've done plenty of combat training there, but it was more about controlling my ability and making use of it than anything else... we're all out here doing the same job. Wolverine works with the Avengers sometimes, other people loan their skills out to other entities, all kinds of things happen out there. J'onn has offered an extension to that training, and perhaps a greater understanding of my power." Shadowcat hesitates and then admits, "You asked me earlier if I am a Queen of some unknown world. The answer was 'maybe.' My powers appear to have some kind of quantum dimensional aspect, and I have a tie to someone who *is* a Queen of another dimension. So... " She shrugs. "The more I learn, the better I understand what I can do and why I can do it."

Flash has posed:
All of a sudden Flash stands up as if someone put tacks in the seat.. "The Avengers... Oh man... I completly forgot!" he does quickly catch all the popcorn putting it back in the bowl after he speaks putting it down again. "Oh man I completly forgot.. Oh man.." he looks at his outfit, and then up at her.. "Listen.. I am sorry the Avengers are doing this... thing in central park. I think it is some Holloween party or something, and I told them I would show up." he waves a hand in the air. "I and Wonder Woman joined the Avengers kinda of like a exchange program, and I do stuff with them on occastion, and I thought it would be good to show up, and say hello so they don't forget that I am avaliable if they needed me."

He sets the popcorn down and smiles a bit, he then makes a deep bow, "Well my queen.. would you care to accompany a lowly peon such as myself?" he chuckles a bit to show he is kidding, but continues shortly after.. "It should be fun, maybe a few hay rides, a maze I think." then he stops the realization hitting him. "I don't mean to make any advances, I mean you are a member of our team.. even as a intern so please don't take it the wrong way either way it is fine I just thought maybe we could get to know each other a bit better, and have some fun at the same time." he give a nervious chuckle again, "Sometimes I think even a super-speed brain isn't enough to keep up with the mouth." and grins at her. "Though I do mean it I just mean to go have some fun."

Kitty laughs at his rather adorable bumbling around *that* explanation. "Flash... slow down. You're fine -- I didn't take it the wrong way." She considers and says, "Why don't you go ahead to park? I may join you, but I need to check back home on a couple of things first. And if I don't catch up with you tonight... I would be more than happy to talk again the next time you're around." She smiles. "It's been a genuine pleasure to meet you."

Flash has posed:
Flash smiles, and nods to her again, he reaches forward and takes her hand though he is actually rather gentle despite his speed. He does so to shake her hand good-bye.. "Listen.. It was nice to meet you it really was sorry for the questions I hope we get a chance to meet again." he moves forward to the computer, and his hands move and blur like speeds as he enters coordinates. He then stops, and looks at her. "Queen Shadowcat.. I will remember you that is for sure. though I hope to see you around more as we could always use the help of a veteran." and he gives her a bit of a wink.

He pushes the engage button, and is just blurs over to the transporter. He chuckles a bit, and holds up a finger. "Oh I almost forgot.. Whatever you do, don't ask J'onn about the..." and he teleports with a grin, and a wink.. Whatever he was going to say is lost to the teleporter if he was going to say anything at all.
