Date of Scene: 29 October 2017
Location: Unknown
Synopsis: Flight-capable Sassa approaches the Triskelion, and Agent May shows up to determine whether she's friend or foe.
Cast of Characters: 300, Melinda May

Sassa (300) has posed:
A cold, rainy and overcast day. The perfect day to quite literally decide, out of sheer loneliness and boredom, to drop in on the worlds formost defense agency, S.H.I.E.L.D. Now, who knows why Sassa's here, but she is, and in a fashion that makes a statement that is bound to be taken the wrong way, especially when you show up unannounced to said agency's headquarters.

What is that form of Entrance? Flight. Despite the rain, and the wind, and the cold, Sassa lowers herself out of the clouds to hover rock solid in the air with arms crossed under her bustline and feet dangling no less than a hundred feet from the ground. For her part, she's decided that she's to old to give a damn about costumes and secret identity's and has shown up wearing a long sleeved turtleneck sweater and a pair of black slacks with leather boot-cut boots. An out fit, that she thinks, is entirely friendly, despite the whole flying above the armed guards thing.

"Morning.." she says, loud enough for the guards to have no trouble of hearing her. "Mind if I talk to someone in charge? I've got a question or two..." she adds, in a semi-thick accent that speaks to someone from the Norse countries.

Melinda May has posed:
"I'm going to need you to stand down," calls up a voice that does not seem to fit any of the guards. On the street side of the entrance to the bridge for the Triskelion, a slightly older-looking Asian woman is standing in the open and aiming a sidewarm at the woman floating in mid-air.

Wearing dark-colored everything including the black jacket made from what looks like an oddly-grained leather, if it weren't for the weapon in her hands and the way the guards are deferring to her she would look like any random New Yorker out on the streets.

"Identify yourself, and explain your reasons for violating an internationally sanctioned no-fly zone."

Sassa (300) has posed:
Sassa turns about slowly while remaining in the air, she eyes the firearm at first and sighs deeply. "That weapon wont be needed..." she says as she floats over towards may and gently floats to the ground, her boots making tiny /clop/ noises as each foot makes contact with the earth. "I'm not here to cause trouble, or as an enemy.." she adds, smiling warmly. "Though, I can assure you that weapon wouldn't do much to stop me if I had shown up as an enemy.." she adds as she takes a step forward and holds a hand out in greeting, keeping the smile. "Sassa.."

Melinda May has posed:
May's eyes study the woman as she sets foot on the pavement, keeping the weapon trained on her the entire time. She doesn't reply to that comment about the weapon being useless, as there's no point in arguing over semanticsShe does lower the sidearm finally as the woman offers a handshake.

"Agent May," she replies as she shakes the woman's hand, and silently evaluates the strength behind the handshake as she does so.

Sassa (300) has posed:
This close, Sassa's nearly six inches taller, not that it matters. The strength behind the handshake though? There's a concerted effort on Sassa's part to hold back, perhaps enough of an effort that it could be detected.

"Glad to meet you Agent May.." she replies plainly, taking her hand back gently after the handshake and taking a moment to look around, placing her hands on her hips as she does so. Her eyes glance over and back to the Tris, and then return to May, "Doesn't a no fly zone pretain to aircraft? I mean, I know I'm a little slack on my beach body workout, but I didn't think I was that fat.." she adds, trying to throw a little humor in to the mix to help with the situation. She does grin from ear to ear like a complete doofus, hoping against hope that May might actually find the comment funny.

Melinda May has posed:
May's response would have looked exactly the same coming from Mr. Spock -- a single raised eyebrow. "These days, any airborne entity gets counted into a no-fly zone. Our computer systems lock onto and identify anything larger than an aspirin." Well, technically they'll scan for smaller as well, but luckily so far the only noticeably smaller individuals about are recognized allies.

"May ask as to the reason for your visit?"

Sassa (300) has posed:
"Ah, well, you'll have to forgive my not knowing how all this modern nonsense works..." replies Sassa with a slight smile on her face. She scrunches up her nose slightly and then lets out a deep exhale, "Would you believe me if I said boredom?" Sassa asks.

Melinda May has posed:
"I would, yes. Though this isn't exactly the best place to visit when you're bored." The Triskelion isn't exactly the kind of place that has open tours, either. It's just... too many secrets.

Going on a hunch, she asks the taller woman, "So, what brings you to Midgard this time around?"

Sassa (300) has posed:
"Ah, well, that was easy.." replies Sassa plainly, she pauses a moment and lets out a soft giggle. "Well, it's not just boredom, it's a desire to do some good and not so much, ya know, doing it alone anymore."

Sassa head tilts at the second question though, and it seems to take her a moment before it dawns on her and she bursts out laughing. "By Thor" she exclaims, "I only wish I had been born in Asgard and not here.." she adds as she takes a few moments to gather herself. "Apologies Agent May, but I'm not Asgardian. I was born here, on Midgard a very, very." pause, break, "VERY long time ago."

Melinda May has posed:
May ahs and nods faintly. Fascinating. "So you want to try working in a team type environment." She's honestly seen people want to join SHIELD with flimsier reasons. "I can have the recruitment documentation forwarded to you to see if you'd work best as a consultant or a full time SHIELD agent." She suspects the latter, if the quips are any indication of the woman's current level of discipline.

"Personally, I'd recommend consultant status, as it gives you the freedom to not work with SHIELD exclusively if you want to keep your options open." Maybe she should point this woman toward Stark and the Avengers. Her powers might be more in keeping with theirs.

Sassa (300) has posed:
"I've done it before over the centuries.." replies Sassa plainly, canting one hip to the side and folding her arms. "I take it there's a great deal of red tape involved regardless?" She does seem, well, impatient enough to ask a question like that, but she might be impatient for a reason. "As to working as a full agent, or a consultant, I suppose you'd have to tell me what the main differences are."

"Ah, well, hmmm.." is the only reply given as she seems to fall in to thought for sometime before finally snaping back to the land of the living. "Look, Agent May, I'm more than likely older than anyone in your orginization, baring my lord Thor.." pause, "so, if I come off impatient? It's simply because I'm truly looking for a way to continue doing good while having the ability to forge new bonds and make friends. You'd be suprised how lonely it gets when you've spent nearly twelve centuries doing things mostly alone."

Melinda May has posed:
"Fair enough. But, the SHIELD vetting process isn't the fastest thing out there for obvious reasons. If you want to start making a difference in the world quickly, you might be best off contacting a group whose entrance requirements aren't quite as strict as SHIELD's." She's trying to be realistic without being too off-putting, and she's honestly not sure how well she's doing at it.

"You could always proceed with the consultant application process while working with another group, like, say, the Avengers." She does a quick mental rundown of her phone's contact list, then wonders if Barton is busy right about now.

Sassa (300) has posed:
"Yeah, that whole Hyrda thing..." Sassa adds, sighing rather dejectedly. "No, I understand, I do, it's just I'm worried I'm stagnating and to be entirely honest, I'm just, feeling really lonely, as cliche as that sounds. I have no one, and all I can do is spend each day trying to protect the people that can't protect themselves. Sorry, you don't need to hear all that..."

"As to the Avengers? I would give the world to stand alongside them, and my Lord Thor, but I'm almost certain I don't quite stand up or measure up to what they'd want in a new member. Not that I imagine they'd believe me if I told them who I am and what I can do, not without showing them anyway."

Melinda May has posed:
"And why not show them? I think Thor especially would likely lobby for your joining them if you gave him the chance to learn what you can do." Not that she herself knows yet. Because something like being able to chlorinate water might be a bit ... underwhelming. But still useful.

She nods to the guard nearby, who presumably sends word inside to get the documentation that May's already mentioned.

Sassa (300) has posed:
Sassa blinks a few times and seems suprised that May would suggest that. "I, well, I suppose I could..." she replies, pausing a moment as she loses herself in thought for a few moments. She snaps out of it again and shrugs her shoulders, "I've only met and spoken with him twice, though, I suppose if anyone would lobby for me, it would be him as you say."

Melinda May has posed:
May nods. "THere you go. It's a start, and potentially a good one. And in the meantime," she receives a USB drive from the security guard and thanks him before offering it to Sassa. "This has all of the documentation I mentioned, including the applications for both full time SHIELD agent and consultant, so you can fill out whichever you feel is best."

Sassa (300) has posed:
Sassa nods at May and takes the offered USB drive in hand and stares at it a moment before nodding and sliding it in to a buttoned back pocket, which she buttons closed. She smiles a little and begins to slowly lift off the ground, "Thank you for your time, and understanding agent may. I'll hope to see you again in the future."

Melinda May has posed:
"Likewise." She watches Sassa take her leave before moving to speak with the security guard. She'll be writing up a report on this.

Sassa (300) has posed:
Sassa makes an exit, shooting skyward at speed and breaking the sound barrier at altitude. Though, a sound barrier break from a human body is not much more than a low echoing thump.
