Cast of Characters: Emma Frost, Storm

Emma Frost has posed:
It's over cast out in the country, cloud seemingly boiling over and ready to pour down 'cats and dogs' type rain the sky is so gray and lumpy.

On the side of a dirt road between the City and Xavier's, Emma's new car has a flat tire from a puncture. It isn't pretty, her new Mercedes has a limp and she's pulled over. The silver door is open and her legs are swung out, dangling above the dirty road as her hands hold up her phone before her face and she's texting someone rapidly.

Storm has posed:
The rain will hold, however, for so long as the Mistress of the Elements deems that it will hold. It takes relatively little concentration for Ororo to keep the weather at bay, the pregnant clouds looming but the day remaining dry, at least for now, as the Goddess descends from above.

She isn't particularly dressed like a goddess today, in black leather pants, heeled boots and a cream-colored turtleneck with a thick collar, the soft cashmere sharply contrasted against her dark skin, her white mohawk gelled up as the winds set her on her feet.

"In need of assistance, Ms. Frost?" Storm says, her hands on her hips.

Emma Frost has posed:
"Ororo?" Emma asks surprised to be hearing from the X-man in such a semi-remote locale. The white queen turns her upper half towards the middle of the car and sets down her phone on the middle console before she puts her hand on the frame of the car and pulls her self up and out of the ride and straightens the white over coat she has on over her shoulders.

"I didn't think Triple A used mutant weather witches to move Mercedes." The CEO teases as she stands up, nearly as tall as Ororo though her mohawk certainly makes the brown goddess taller. Emma cants her hip out to the side and clicks her tongue. "Yeah, I do need help but I called someone already."

Storm has posed:
Ororo Munroe smiles, "Well, I can take you the rest of the way, if you don't mind letting a commoner handle your car," she says with a curve of a smile. "You're lucky I just happened to be flying this way - I had a bit of business in town, arranging for some things to be taken out of storage now that I've returned home," she says.

"I'm given to understand you've taken an interest in the school?"

Emma Frost has posed:
"I would appreciate that, I suppose I'll have to trick everyone into thinking my hair is still perfect with a little mental illusion though." Emma says her face as stoic as always while crossing her arms across her stomach and then smirking as a sign of her amusement of the idea. "What is the business you have? I assume it's a hair cut, I could help and set you up with my stylist. He does great work." Emma notes before she simply nods to the final question Ororo asks her, she does have a few things she needs to attend to first, but she doesn't want the X-man to know them just yet.

Storm has posed:
Ororo Munroe smiles, "I can keep the wind from disrupting your appearance too greatly, although being windswept has never done me wrong," she says, "But then, I have a particularly fine relationship with the wind."

"I do my own maintenance with a razor in the mornings, but I have a woman in Westchester who takes care of me, yes, and makes excellent gumbo in the process. A transplant from New Orleans. She would do interesting things with you, if you allowed it and could bear the smell of boiled crawfish sufficiently to sit in her chair for an hour," she says.

"And I'm still waiting in regard to your intentions towards the school. Not that I have any reason to doubt they're good, but you have a distinct personality from previous benefactors and personal style has a tendency to filter down through the ranks. Being in the upper echelon of the ranks, I like to get a taste of the incoming weather, as you might imagine."

Emma Frost has posed:
"I -" Emma visibly lurches and lifts a hand to her mouth at the very thought. "I think I will pass. She might be nice, but that smell. The cajun was hard enough to bear when he was around." Frost says with a few blinks as she rejects the bile escaping her belly. "But a lift would be helpful." She notes before turning around and bending over to get her phone back out of the car and slips it into a pocket and then she shuts the door before lifting her left wrist and pressing it against the door handle, locking her ride.

"My intentions," Emma begins, "Are to not only invest in the school, but improve it, help it grow and become more than just a private school. And no, I will not be interfering with the X-men, I'm not like the rest of you, I don't wear skin tight clothes to go fight crime and super villains. But I'm sure you will allocate some funds to help you there. And that's okay."

Storm has posed:
Ororo Munroe takes Emma's hand and draws her in a bit more closely, "You'll have to lace an arm around my neck, just for support, lest you wish to be flopping around like a fish. And you don't seem the type," she says.

"Good intentions, then, are all I can judge you on. Just remember that Xavier's is more than a school - it is in many ways a family, for some students the only family they have ever truly known. Any harm that comes to it will be felt by all and met with repercussions of the fiercest sort," she says. "That sounded more threatening than I intended it. Put simply - this is a cherished place. I understand your desire to change, but tread lightly or someone may think you've put them underfoot," she says.

And then the winds rise about them, cool autumn gusts that buoy both their bodies up into the air, swirling impossibly and pressing Emma to Ororo's side as they rise into the air.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma's arm wraps around Storm's neck and she says hopefully before the rush of wind drowns out the sound of her voice. "Then you must visit my school sometime. I feel the fears you have about me would be assuaged if you would take a tour and realize how much I really do care about the well being and the future of our kind." Emma then would wrap tighter and even close her eyes tightly as her feet leave the ground and a sharp gasp as she draws in a scared breath.

Storm has posed:
Ororo Munroe smiles broadly, "Fears? Do I strike you as someone fearful then, Emma Frost?" she says. "I am Ororo Windrider, Goddess of the Storm. The wicked tremble at the sound of my thunder. I'm merely looking out for -your- best interests and for the best interests of the school. If you're to become a part of us, then I want things to be smooth, seamless and peaceful as possible. Because if there is not peace, then I will enforce peace," she says firmly.

She carries the two of them along, the winds picking up a bit as the rain breaks behind them, a hint of that promised thunder reverbrating along the woods. "Will you be staying the night, then? I can send ahead to have a room prepared."

Emma Frost has posed:
"That doesn't sound peaceful." Emma notes, still with her eyes clamped shut but she whispers something beneath her breath, definitely muted by the volume of the wind rushing past them.

"I guess I will need a bed, and no, I'll just claim the guest room again." Again might be a shock to Ororo, but Emma spent a couple of weeks at the school recently, spawning her interest in the school as a tool and means to improve mutant kind.

Storm has posed:
Ororo Munroe had heard a little something of the visit, although not a great deal of detail. She hadn't pressed because she wasn't particularly interested in gossip. "Easily done, we always have beds to spare," she says.

"And there are many kinds of peace, Emma. The best, of course, is the peace of the spirit, but it is rarely a luxury we are afforded in these tumultuous times," she says, the mansion coming into view as the wind carries them down to land easily on the lawn.

Emma Frost has posed:
"I aim for peace between species." Emma responds, not aware of their distance to the mansion or from her car, her eyes have been closed this whole time. The White Queen keeps her hands and arms wrapped tightly around the taller woman with another gasp as she breathes the cool air and reminds herself that her feet are dangling no where near the ground. "Thank you Ororo."

Storm has posed:
Ororo Munroe smiles, "Of course, as do we all. I would simply like peace in our own house as well. I'm glad to hear we're on the same page about that. I look forward to having you around the mansion. I have heard very good things about the standards of your own Academy and hope you can bring innovation here. Charles could be old-fashioned about things, sometimes, as broad-minded as he is and I don't know that he always kept us on the cutting edge," she says.

She leads Emma into the mansion proper, up and towards the house, "Would you like to go to your room, then, or would you prefer something to eat or to look around somewhere in particular? I would be happy to serve as a guide and companion, but I also don't wish to impose if you'd prefer to be alone."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma drops to her hands and knees after slowly unclutching her hands from Ororo's neck and back. She breathes heavily and even thinks about kissing the ground for a moment but she recovers her senses before she does so and standing back up and dusting off her pant suit before shaking her head once. "Oh, no thank you Ororo. I will be headed to Charles' office right away to speak with the man some more about the acquisition." The blonde nods and lifts her hand to run a few fingers through her hair trying to fix it, "Though a stop in the bathroom might be a good idea first."

Storm has posed:
Ororo Munroe smiles, "My door is open, should you need anything," she says, "Third door on the left on the third floor," she says.

The goddess of the storm leaves Miss Frost then to collect her composure and put herself together before she attends to business. As for Ororo, she has a date with a piece of pumpkin pie and Netflix tonight. She's a bit behind on some of her favorite shows.
