Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Foggy Nelson, Elektra

Foggy Nelson has posed:
Foggy had asked Elektra to wear something athletic, and he had done the same. He wore grey trousers, or at least they looked like trousers, but they had reinforced knees, seat, an adjustable waistband, and were made of a stretchy, yet durable material. To most people, they would appear to be ordinary Dockers, but to anyone who was used to athletic activity, they'd be seen as the perfect attire, while fashioned to blend in with other people.

His shirt though appeared to be a simple black t-shirt, looser than he'd probably like, but if it were tight, it'd give away his actual physique. He was trying to hide a few extra pounds with it. There was a picture of Mackenzie King Station, the space station up above, on it in white, with an astronaut wearing an Alpha Flight space suit. He obviously dreamed of one day going up there, if he could ever afford it.

He was waiting where he had arranged to meet Elektra, and had a backpack slung over his shoulders with some extra things, such as chaulk, climbing shoes, one for himself, and another for her. He'd bought them, guessing her size. In fact, he'd bought six of them, and planned to return the ones that didn't fit. So there he waited, outside, hands in his pockets, whistling the theme from Beverly Hills Cop.

Elektra has posed:
She'd been ready before the appointed hour, essentially scoping out the place she'd been told to meet Foggy. When he arrives, she steps out and makes like she's just shown up herself, though he may know better. Hersself dressed in casual sportswear in a speandex blend. Decent climbing shoes. Her hair pulled back into a neat ponytail. Not a logo in sight. You know it costs money when they aren't expecting you to advertise for you.

She smiles when she sees him and the backpack. "Foggy. I hope I'm not late?"

Foggy Nelson has posed:
"Oh no, I just got here..." and the sight of the climbing shoes, he has to smile, "climbing shoes?" How'd she know he was going to take her climbing. All he'd said was to bring athletic gear. "Great minds think alike, huh?" And he laughed, "you know, I picked up six pairs of climbing shoes for you, since I wasn't sure of your size. Thankfully I saved the receipt." And yeah, her outfit, no logos anywhere. That means it must be expensive, but it looked great on her. He offered his arm to her, hoping to lead her the two blocks to the Rock Climbing Gym.

Elektra has posed:
Elektra's smile is a smoothness in reply to Foggy, "I made an educated guess." And she had, she's scouted out the area after he'd made their plans, and sussed out what places had the best chance of being the chosen activity. She'd chosen from those, and chosen well. She kept an easy pace along with him, "Great minds, certainly. Though we don't have an avacado story."

Foggy Nelson has posed:
"We'll make our own story," Foggy reassures her, as he led her there, opening the door for her. He followed after, and was surprised to see no one else was there. Oh, there was a girl at the reception desk, but that seemed to be the only one there. Music was playing. There were even towels, chalk, and some other things set out for two, but there was nobody there. This was strange. The place was usually packed. Looking to her, he asked, "did you book the whole place?" She did seem to do things in style.

Elektra has posed:
Elektra waits for him to come the the correct realization, and when he does, she looks more than a little pleased. "I did. I thought why ruin a perfect afternoon with others. I hope you don't mind?" She checks the items that have been left out, including a chilled bottle of champagne, "A glass before? Or shall we wait until after?"

Foggy Nelson has posed:
Foggy blushes at the lengths she's gone to. "Oh, uh, sure, why not?" He was a little taken aback by all this. After all, he thought the pants he wore, which cost a few hundred dollars, were especially extravagant, but he was trying to get into better shape, and Rock Climbing was fun. Hard, but fun. He'd gotten up to V5, once, which was an accomplishment for him, with the scale going to V17, and getting progressively harder. Most bouldering places didn't even have routes that went past a V12. "You surprise me, Elektra."

Elektra has posed:
Thhere's a negligent shrug from the woman. "I debated. Blend in with a crowd of others as though we were just another couple having an evening off together, or.. this." As she speaks, she opens the champagne bottle and pours two glasses, one for each, and hands one to foggy. "I thought it might be a nicer way to relax. People will always be there. But an evening like this won't always be. Besides, there's the meal afterward, and that I've truly left up to you."

Foggy Nelson has posed:
Foggy accepts the glass that is offered to him, and briefly, his fingers brush against hers. He was a lawyer, so his hands were pretty soft, but not as soft as one might expect of a lawyer. Then again, he had been trying rock climbing, so that might explain it. "Elektra, you can do many things, but blending in is not one of them," at least in his experience. How little he knew. "But what shall we drink to?"

Elektra has posed:
Her laughter is soft in response to his observation, "I blend in perfectly well when I wish to." Of course she's meaning it in a whole other fashion. Her glass is held semi-aloft, "How about to new beginnings?"

Foggy Nelson has posed:
Foggy will nod his head, "I can certainly see that," and as he looked into her eyes, he reached out with his glass to clinks it against her own, "to new beginnings," before he drowns much of his. It was good, better champagne than he was used to. And he was reasonably certain that the glass itself was real crystal, expensive too. Probably made in Germany.
