Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Cindy Larsen, Fairchild, Rift

Cindy Larsen has posed:
Cindy had, unfortunately, ended up staying out a bit later than perhaps she should have. Even though the leopardine teen had kept her hoodie up, there was little she could do to hide the long tail she sports. Eventually, she caught the attention of the wrong kind of people, and a group of about a dozen of them, angry men with guns and knives, had chased her into the industrial district. Cindy is agile and quick, and for a long time she was able to outrun them in the maze of factories. Unfortunately, she takes a wrong turn - she doesn't know the area very well - and winds up in an alley with a dead end. Panicked, Cindy backs up against the brick wall, eyes wide with fear as the small mob closes in on her. They're shouting at her, calling her names, insulting her, saying she should be put to death. Terrible things are probably going to happen, unless Cindy is lucky enough that someone intervenes! She cries out for help, in the hopes that someone, -anyone-, will hear her and respond!

Fairchild has posed:
The statuesque redhead is just making her way through the neighborhood. She's enjoying the weather, and is dressed today in jeans, boots, a turtleneck and a light jacket, armed against the autumn chill. She hears the shouting, curious...and then the cry for help. Well, that means heroic intervention is necessary. She breaks into a run, charging in the direction of the voices there. "Hey! What's going on over there!!" She demands, in as loud a voice as she can, trying to distract them.

Cindy Larsen has posed:
One of the men grabs Cindy, and she snarls in response! She actually lashes out at him, leaving a nasty-looking slash of claws across his face! "You keep your hands off me!" she shouts at him, but a couple more of the group descend on her, and pretty soon Cindy isn't able to fight back as she's restrained by them. She still struggles, screaming and shouting and trying to break free. Caitlin's presence is regarded with a glare from a bunch of them, and one of them speaks up. "You stay outta this, lady, or you're gonna be next, once we're done teaching this freak of nature a lesson!" Cindy manges to only catch a glimpse of Caitlin through the small crowd, but when their eyes meet the leopard-girl has a desperate, pleading expression on her face.

Fairchild has posed:
"I don't think so." Caitlin says, quite determinedly. "Let her go, right now, and everyone gets to walk away. Otherwise, some of you may be trying to make it with a limp." The redhead starts forward. Not running, just a determined stride, as she heads towards Cindy. "Do the smart thing."

Cindy Larsen has posed:
They do not do the smart thing. In fact, they do the exact opposite, and close in together, attempting to stop the taller woman from making any progress. Several of them draw guns, aiming them for her. "Stop right there!" they shout. Meanwhile, Cindy is staring down the man she 'scratched' - to use the term loosely, as blood pours down his face. He's drawn a knife on her, and while a pair of his buddies restrain her arms while she struggles. "So you like to scratch, kitten?" he snarls at Cindy, "I like to scratch, too. It's my turn, now..."

Fairchild has posed:
Oh, that was not the right move. Caitlin charges, heedless of the guns. Her arms go out to the sides, and she'll grab at the first two people she passes. She effortlessly flings each one at one of the two holding Cindy to try and get her free. "I /said/ let her go!" she shouts, as she still tries to draw attention to herself, pulling the aggressors off Cindy if she can. Long legs help her cover the distance faster than usual.

Rift has posed:
Kitora Alua was flying home from her part-time job that she does after work - easier to fly relatively high. She looks rather eerie when she uses her powers - basically a dully-glowing humanoid outline with bright red glowing lines inside of her. She hears a disturbance and descends - a crowd? No. A mob. And... not a _happy_ mob. She descends (apparently upside-down, head closer to the ground to her feet as she watches for now. Also she wishes she bought another burger before she left - she feels she'll need it. She waits for her chance to strike from above.

Cindy Larsen has posed:
There's a shout of surprise when Caitlin grabs two of the men, sending one of them flying at Cindy's captors - the other going a bit wide and hitting the wall instead. The leopardess manages to wrench one arm free after the man holding her is struck, and she grabs onto the shirt of the one still holding her arm. With a growl, she shows off some of her own limited fighting capability, planting her foot in the chest of the man with the knife, and then grunts as she sharply cracks him in the side of the head with her other foot! He goes down, sprawling on the concrete, and in a fury the leopardess starts to claw at the man still holding onto her. "Let go of me!" she shouts. Two of the dozen, still weidling guns, start to fire on Caitlin - unaware of Kitora looming above, ready to strike. The rest of them try to regroup, to find an angle of attack to come at Caitlin. She's clearly the bigger threat now, after all.

Fairchild has posed:
Caitlin sounds angry. "Now you've wrecked my outfit!!" /She's/ bulletproof, though the things she's wearing aren't, and are going to have bullet holes in them. She tenses her legs, and leaps forward through the crowd, like a bowling ball through pins, as she launches herself at the one still holding Cindy. "Let. Her. Go!" She'll swing a punch at that assailant. She's pulling her punch, since if she didn't, she'd punch /through/ him. But she should still easily be able to drop him in a hit.

Rift has posed:
Kitora Alua sees some loose bricks on a building top. She moves laterally towards it, and with a brief rainbow flare, several bricks start to orbit her. She then moves to be above the mob, still upside-down, looking like the Angel of Death. She blows a piercing whistle... then starts to launch the bricks down, aiming for the guns - namely the hands that hold them, with bruising or even maybe bone-crushing velocities. She says nothing else, just has her arms spread wide.

Cindy Larsen has posed:
Cindy is freed from her assailant by the strike from Caitlin, which knocks the man back into the wall with his buddies. "Thanks," Cindy says, panting softly from the exertion of struggling and fighting. She notices the figure flying in the sky, and the bricks hovering around her. "Oop! Incoming!" the teen leopardess exclaims, diving behind something for cover. Caitlin may not be vulnerable to these sorts of things, but Cindy is still pretty mortal, and flying bricks tend to hurt a lot. The men holding guns on them still look up just in time to see Kitora in the sky, right before the bricks crash into their hands! There's an abundance of cursing and swearing when their hands are injured, the weapons clattering to the ground. "Damnit, there's three of the freaks now! Let's get the hell outta here!" The remaining men scatter, trying to make it back to the entrance of the alleyway before Caitlin or Kitora manages to catch up with them!

Fairchild has posed:
The redhead moves to put herself between Cindy and the attackers, playing bulletproof shield if she needs to. But it looks like they're running, and she's more than happy to let them do that. "Are you all right?" She asks, looking over her shoulder at Cindy, apparently not bothered by her feline-ness. She's looking up at Kitora, slightly cautiously, just making sure she's on their side.

Rift has posed:
Kitora Alua slowly descends to the ground, then rotates right-side up and lands, gazing at the two with glowing eyes. She's still being orbited by some bricks - then they just fall to the ground with a brief ripple from her. "Hello there. I know you..." she muses, gazing at Cindy. "You're a sophmore over at Xavier's right? I'm a senior. Just was coming back from my part-time job and saw a mob." She smiles faintly as her aura disappears, and now hse looks like a normal person. A Japanese-looking girl, but with bright red hair and eyes. "I'm Kitora Alua," she states, extending her hand. "And... thank you for also helping. Sorry I wasn't here sooner."

Cindy Larsen has posed:
As the group of men scatter, Cindy heaves a sigh of relief before pulling herself up out of her spot of cover. She takes a moment to dust herself off, thankfully none the worse for wear. "Yeah I think so, thanks for the save," she says, "Who knows what would have happened to me if you hadn't shown up when you did." It's about then that Cindy finally looks up at the statuesque woman who came to her rescue, and the teenager can't help but gawk for a moment. "Woah," is about all she can say, staring slack-jawed for a moment before she remembers herself. A deep flush colors the inside of her ears and she folds them back to try to hide it. "S-sorry," she stammers, "I, uh. Thanks. Um, my name is Cindy. I, uh, I guess I owe you one." Smooth. She manages a bashful, nervous smile, and turns her eyes to Kitora when she floats down to join them. "Oh, uh, h-hey." She smiles to Kitora also, though less bashfully, as she recognizes her from the school. "Yeah, I am," she confirms, "I'm Cindy. I've seen you around, don't think we ever ran into each other though." She giggles a little. "Gravity control, huh? Neat power. Pretty cool stuff." Her tail swishes again. "Thanks a lot for helping out, Kitora. You two really saved my fuzzy butt."

Fairchild has posed:
Caitlin smiles. Kitora proves to be on Team Good, it seems, and she smiles. "Thanks for the assist...that air support came in handy!" She starts looking over her clothes, and sighing as she sees the holes in her attire. "I was glad I could help. I'm Caitlin. It's a pleasure to meet you both. You're not hurt, are you?"

Rift has posed:
Kitora Alua smiles. "I'm fine. I just got here. I really need to find some objects to carry on my person so I don't have to rely on the environments. Perhaps ball bearings." She smiles. "Are you okay? Looks like you got shot a few times..." She then glances over at Cindy. "They were after you? I suppose just 'cause you don't look normal..." She shrugs. "I don't know why people have to be like that... it makes me very sad."

Cindy Larsen has posed:
"Yeah, yeah, I'm okay," she says, checking herself over. Her skirt got a little tear in it, but otherwise the leopard-girl seems to be just fine. "Not the first time it's happened," she admits, "I guess I'm an easy target. Probably wouldn't come at me so enthusiastically if I could shoot lasers out of my eyes or something." She sighs again, and manages a small smile to her two rescuers. "Um, can I repay you somehow?" she asks, "Um, maybe... dinner or something? I mean... it's the least I could do, after getting me outta that scrape." It's kind of the most she could do, too, considering she's only a student and not very well-connected.

Fairchild has posed:
Caitlin shakes her head, a pleasant expression on her face. "There's no need. Honest, I was just glad I was able to help out. And I'm just fine. My clothes are the worse for wear, but that's sort of the running story with me." The giant redhead smiles and looks to the shorter two girls. "Just stay safe out there."

Rift has posed:
Kitora Alua giggles. "You can't afford to buy me dinner," she muses, winking. "My appetite is kinda... legendary. It takes a lot of energy to tell the laws of physics to sit down and shut up." She giggles. "I can get us to the garden behind Xavier's - I think." I don't think we're out of range." She gazes at Caitlin. "Ummmm.... I can get Cindy home. What of you?" she asks curiously.

Cindy Larsen has posed:
Cindy nods her head to Caitlin, and offers her a bright smile. "I'm sorry about your outfit. I, uh. Tell you what, send me the drycleaning bill? I mean, I owe you that much, right?" She giggles softly, her tail giving a swish. She blinks a little and looks at Kitora. "You... You can? We're a couple miles off, I don't know, um." She looks in what she guesses is the right direction, but the truth is she got a little turned around being chased around by that mob.

Fairchild has posed:
"Oh, I'll be just fine. And I don't think it's drycleaning..." she didn't bleed at all. "I'll just have to see about getting the holes patched, or something." She looks at some of them, and sighs. "Trust me, I go through lots of clothes." Caitlin shakes her head. "I'll leave you two to it...but be safe!"

Rift has posed:
Kitora Alua nods slowly as she starts glowing with power again, taking a slow deep breath, closing her eyes, focusing. "Yes... we're close enough..." A small red circle forms in the air, and ripples outward into a ragged-looking red portal. A garden can be seen with a greenhouse in the background. "I sometimes go by Rift," she muses softly, smiling as she steps through the portal, visible from the other side.

Cindy Larsen has posed:
Cindy gives a nod of her head, her tail swishing a little. Really quickly, she throws her arms around Caitlin's shoulders, lifting up on her toes to give her a hug. "Alright, well, thanks again," the leopardess says, "I -am- gonna find some way to pay you back though. You better believe it." She grins broadly, her tail swishing again, and she turns to Kitora. "Oh, wow! Magic portals, too! Now I'm officially jealous." She feigns a huff, and then grins at Caitlin. "Really, though. Thank you. Hopefully I'll see ya 'round, in a less, uh, dangerous setting." She waves to her, and then the leopardess hops through the portal to the garden.
