Cast of Characters: Silk, Wonder Woman

Silk has posed:
Somedays being a superheroine is pretty dang cool.

But then there are days like today... "Hey maybe we can talk about this.." Silk says as she stares at a very, very large person- someone who stands a good ten feet tall. Its been on the news for the past ten minutes, one young woman dressed in spider silk being beaten from one end of Manhattan to the other. She hasn't given up, despite the fact she looks injured at this very moment. "I know a good place for Korean food- its got some really good Kimchi!" she suggests as the brute of a creature rushes forward

Silk is poetry in motion- beyond agile, its like watching someone who's designed to dance through combat. But sometimes, that just isn't enough. Beyond strong, this beast manages to grab Silk by the foot and toss her again.

"Almost out of webbing.." Cindy says to herself as she uses the last of her organic webbing to try and slow her fall- it only partially works. She ends up *THUDDING* into the outer wall of the Themysciran Embassy hard enough to make the wall shudder. "Ow."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana wasn't at her own embassy today, as it would so happen, she was at an event in central park. But the scale of the fight that was going on was as public as these things tended to get and word spread rather quickly over the events gathered audience that an explanation of it eventually reached Diana at her place on the stage that was setup for said event. In a flashy display she'd tossed off her robe and shot off into the sky, to the cheers of the entire audience... it hadn't been Diana's style to be so flashy for onlookers, but situations sometimes just result in that.

Diana crossed her way over the buildings of Manhattan until she zeroed in on the fight... she saw it just so happened to be right in front of her New York home, a frown briefly touched her lips.

Diana rushed then toward the fight, her hands going behind her back to pull sword and lasso from her leather harness. She rushed at where Cindy had started to fall and easily would catch her in her lasso-holding arm.

Diana swooped up to the roof of a nearby building and set Cindy down. "Are you alright?" She'd ask the young woman, she knew who she was from her Super Hero Tracking reports from the Justice League, at least her Spider-identity anyway.

Silk has posed:
This particular Spider-Identity has only been active for a number of days. Silk is the name that's been attached to her. Her first appearance was fighting some beast far beyond her strength, luckily, other heroes came to help. The videos of her diving into the vehicle the beast was trying to eat has millions of hits already- diving head-long into danger to save a toddler. Apart from that, there was very, very little information on this particular heroine. Its like she appeared from no-where.

Well, that *Thud* was expected, but apparently, she was saved by none other than Wonder Woman! "Oh. Er. Yes, everything is well in hand. Just wearing it down for the eventual KO-Strike!" she offers with a bit of a self-deprecating humor.

The huge beast of a humanoid jumps after his 'plaything'. If there is one thing Cindy's done right, its kept collateral damage to a minimum. Instead, she took the hits instead of letting others get hurt. Silk is on her feet, "Uh, so, we should stop the badguy, right?" she wonders as the beast lands not far from where Cindy had been flung (and saved) not moments ago. "Puny spider-woman! Destucto will smash you like the bug you are!"

Despite the obvious bruises on Silk's face, and the nasty dislocated look to one of the young woman's shoulders, she's already running headlong into danger again- only taking a moment to wrench her own shoulder back into its socket with a soft grunt of pain. "Lets go!"

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana was used to seeing these new super heroes flamboyantly throw themselves toward danger, and she knew she was partly to blame for it too. Ever since stepping out of the background and becoming a public figurehead for super heroics... Diana had witnessed a spike in these sorts of things, and it only grew more and more each year.

After she set Silk down she'd take a step back from the girl and she'd offer her a soft nod. "Be vigilant in your awareness of your surroundings... the danger can escape your protection in the split of a moment." She warned the young one before the 'monster' came at them again.

Diana would move to sweep around the creature and she'd lash out with her golden lasso to snare it and bind it to her so it could only rage-fight withing her lasso's range. "What you have left of your webbing, pin it down!" Diana would shout to Silk then as her glowing golden lasso was doubtlessly making the creature thrash wildly!

Silk has posed:
"Okay, yeah. Aware of my surroundings." Diana had no way of knowing that Silk's awareness of their surroundings was intense. So intense that it was sometimes difficult to actual absorb all of the information her Silk-Sense was feeding her. "Right! Okay! Except, one thing, I don't have enough to pin it down!" Silk states then, as she approaches the raging beast.

Awareness was clearly not the issue here- Silk's movements are impossibly graceful. A fist comes down, and she shifts just right- body twisting until she's jumping off the beast's forearm as it falls to kick it hard in the face. She flits back and shoots what she's got left of her silk at the beast's feet- well. Foot. The left one. Enough to grapple that particular limb and attach it to the ground.

Wonder Woman has posed:
When the mosnter's foot came down and Cindy's silk webbing latched onto it, Diana was already on the charging-move toward it. She'd heard the young Silk express her lack of additional silk ammunition and though thiw as disappointing to hear, Diana could roll with the punches on the field of battle and as such she instantly adjusted her attention and attacked the beast in her shining golden lasso!

Where the spider-silk was attached to the creature's feet, is where Wonder Woman's sword would strike, diving in deep on the hulk-thing's leg intending to stab the shining metal blade of Athena into the monstrosity's knee joint!

Silk has posed:
Whatever super-human resilience the beast had to being kicked in the face, that same resilience clearly did not extend to Amazonian Blades being stabbed into its knee. It falls over with a roar of pain, both hands going to grab its knee, "My knee! You harpies!" it shouts, as it rolls on the ground in pain. "Aaahh!" it isn't particularly resistant to pain, either.

Silk continues to distract the beast as Diana goes in for the attack! Cheering as the powerful Wonder Woman takes the creature down- or at least, stops it from the rampage for now. "That's enough out of you there, Curbstomp." she says as she uses the last of her webbing to cover the creature's face with the sticky stuff- muffling the string of curses that follow. The beast is definitely out of this fight.

Silk hops away, and grins- a bit of blood on her teeth, "We did it!" she says with a cheer!

Wonder Woman has posed:
While Silk was covering the monster's face up with webbing, Diana was leaping onto its back and using her lasso to 'hog tie' him up so that his wrists and ankles were all tied together behind his back. She'd stand up then on said back and she'd look down at the creature's head... She'd step off of his shoulders and down to stare at him eye to eye, glaring at him with a severe look of disatisfaction as he looked back at her with rage and anger, looks she was all too familar with.

Diana would turn her eyes back toward Cindy then. She'd turn to face her fully and her sword was slipped back into her sheath on her back.

"What is your name?" She asked Cindy then. "I have seen your videos, but I do not want to speak the name wrong and disrespect you." She'd say in her thickly accented English.

Silk has posed:
"Cin..er.. Silk!" Silk replied, "When I'm like this, I'm Silk." The young woman states, indicating her truly thrown together superheroing outfit of white silk webbing that looks like she made it herself. It fits close to her body, but seems to do the trick of being easy to move in. "And I'm in videos already? Wow." she says, as she takes a slow breath. "I really shouldn't stick around too long, Wonder Woman." she mentions, "I'm still sort of new, and I don't want to give the wrong impression, and I *really* don't want to be questioned by the police." She suggests, "I mean, I'm not like you Justice League guys. I don't have that kind of exposure.. or protection."

"You're really good with that lasso!" Silk offers by way of compliment.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana would listen to all of this and a small smile would form on her lips. She'd glance to the monster that they had duo'd together and then look back to the young woman in costume across from her. "Well, Silk." She started, leveling her blue geze and dipping her pointed chin ever so slightly. "You did very good here today." She'd tell the girl. "I want you to be proud of it. You stopped this, thing, from likely causing a great deal of damage, if not injures or deaths to innocent lives." She raised her chin again then and smiled openly more. "So thank you."

At the beast she would once more look to, specifically the lasso that he was hogtied with. "Practice." Diana Prince would then say before turning her gaze back to Silk. "Never stop practicing. It is absolutely essential." She would then nod once to Silk. "You have my blessing to go and avoid the hassles that are to come with cleaning this up. Remember to seek me out, if you need help. You are not alone in any of this."

Silk has posed:
"Okay, I'll keep that in mind." Silk offers as she sets off at a dead sprint. She leaps and attaches to the side of a building, crawling up the side quickly and hurrying off away from what was sure to be a swarm of government attention on the area.

There is a moment when Silk looks back. A moment when Diana's nearly supernatural empathy can read something- uncertainty, loneliness. This is a young woman who knows nothing of Sisterhood- who seems uneasy around crowds. Around people in general- as if all of that was foreign to her. Fear and uncertainty is key to her being, in this moment. She's searching the horizon- looking over her shoulders. Watching. Careful..

And then she's gone, leaping from rooftop to rooftop away from the fight

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana would watch her go and she'd keep an eye on her until she disappeared. Then she'd be pulled away by the sounds of the police sirens down below at the street and she'd walk to the edge of the building and peer over it. A hand would be raised to the police to signal her location down to them so they knew where to find her and 'it' and then she'd turn to 'it' and walk over toward him.

Diana would fold her arms together over her armored stomach and she'd just glare down at him. "Stupid." She finally said at him while quite literally just staring at him with a judgemental glare.

When the meta-containment unit would arrive on the roof, Diana would let them put him into a state of easily moveable and then she'd retrieve her lasso and return it to her belt.

She would make a mental note to keep a watch oer Silk's activities from afar, any new hero who was clearly still making their own costumes was a hero who still needed a lot of guideance.

Silk has posed:
"I'm not stupid." The beastly creature says, as it stares up at Diana. "If she lives, we die. That girl needs to die to protect a lot of people. I was trying to make ti quick and easy, but she's not about to give up." He growls quietly, "Mark my words, you witch. You'll be sorry you didn't let me kill that woman."

But the creature is soon taken away by the MCU- to go where a creature like him belonged, without a doubt.

Miles away, Silk settled into a squat somewhere in Manhattan- an abandoned attic without any kind of ground access. She just settles back with a groan, eyes half lidded as she finally takes a moment to breath.. "Real smart. Gotta watch those angles." she mumbles to herself, before exhaustion takes over and she's out like a light.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana would stalk toward the beast after he said those words and she went right up to him, nearly touching him with her presence. "Mark -my- words." She replied in an intimidating push. "If you... or anyone associated with you... lays a finger on her, or any other innocent person.... your knee will not the last place on you I explore with my sword's blade." She could threaten with the best of them, and after she said it, she'd turn and leave the detained creature in the hands of the meta-unit team of the NYPD. Diana would walk back to the edge of the building and simply drop down to the street level to answer questions and speak with the media.

Silk has posed:
The beast chuckles, "Suit yourself. I tried to help." But then he's put away into the truck that'll take him to the proper prison. Away he goes.

Silk has posed:
In another universe, somewhere along the Web of Fate a man looks up quietly, nose twitching. "The Spider Bride is on the move. She's awake. Out from hiding. Our greatest hunt.. .my greatest hunt...continues."
