Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Storm, Cyclops

Storm has posed:
Ororo Munroe wears drawstring pants and a hooded sweatshirt, barefoot while she's padding around the house, her magnificent mohawk a bit ungelled and more laying a bit to the side, spilling long down her bare scalp.

She makes her way in and then hears Kitora's voice, blue eyes flicking upwards, "Careful, child, some of the other students are prone to startling and don't always have the best control of their powers. You might ignite someone," she says with amusement.

Cyclops has posed:
After dinner time at Xavier's is really when the students and faculty can let their hair down and relax.

One such person tonight is Scott Summers, playing a game of billiards. A shot is lined up and with a clack, the geometry teacher makes a bank shot off the edge into the corner pocket. "That's what I'm talkin about!" He says happily, moving to the cue ball.

The antics of Kitora do not really concern the teacher, as he is of course, in a school where 'gifted' students thrive. "What are you reading?" He asks, not being quite able to make out the cover from his point of view. "Ororo." He says, lining up a shot again, missing.

Storm has posed:
Ororo Munroe nods to Cyclops, "Scott," she says, walking around to the other side of the table and peering at his shot, "I thought you were the master of angles. Feeling a little out of sorts?" she says, as he misses.

"Nothing wrong with taking a break, I've just seen too many holes blown in walls by ill-thought practical jokes. I have no desire to call in a contractor and then have to have his memory wiped by the nearest telepath," she says.

Cyclops has posed:
"Oh? What does Dr. McCoy have you working on now?" He asks the student, genuinely interested in the curriculum.

"I happened to be setting myself up for the next shot." Scott offers the mistress of weather. "I tend to agree with Miss Munroe on this one. Rather safe than sorry." Of course, the faculty must present a united front.

Storm has posed:
Ororo Munroe nods, "Useful indeed, but trust your feelings, too. I studied meteorology, for a time, upon coming to America, thinking it would help me with my powers. And it did, to a degree. But I also found myself overthinking about convection and evaporation and types of clouds and...it was too much," she says. "Our powers tend to function to some degree on instinct, hardwired as they are. Use your mind, but trust your heart, in other words," she says.

She leans against the table and cocks a smile at Scott, "A useful strategem, provide you can make the follow-up. Of course, if you miss, it's even more egg on your face," she teases.

Cyclops has posed:
If only Ororo could see the amount of side-eye Cyclops was giving her. "I can relate, to a degree. I haven't seen anything but shades of red since I was fifteen." Scott adds in, tapping his protective eyewear.

"Very Little is known on how mutant abilities manifest. There are many variables, and with every new student we see, the level of complexity of those variables just grows."

Scott lines up another shot, sinking the seven, lining up for the eight.

Cyclops has posed:
Scott shakes his head. "Without these, if I opened my eyes it would only unleash all of what my eyes can do...it's not pretty."

Scott sighs as well, having his own past issues that he wouldn't wish on anyone. "Keep moving forward, learn from mistakes and embrace the future." He offers with a smile. "Or...you know, let it fester long enough and it just takes over everything. Which is of course not a good alternative."
