So, is this a date then
Date of Scene: 18 November 2017
Location: Unknown
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Radiance

Radiance has posed:
Coming straight from work, Hermione is dressed in business attire. Pencil skirt, blouse and vest being her favourite combo. She's experimenting with higher heeled shoes, able to wear a two inch rise now with some confidence. She's let her hair down after work, the ends curling about her shoulders from having been in a bun all day.

It's easy to see her coming. The darkening hour causes her glow to be more noticable. While she could fly, she chooses not to and walks up to the Skinnyburger and Rayner. She smiles shyly and lifts her shoulders up in a shrug. "So... um... hi."

Radiance has posed:
Smiling to Rayner in response to his, she stands there awkwardly and holds her purse in front of her. "Crusader. Yeah... Umm.. yeah." She lets out a sigh as she is told she looks great. Again. A woman that doesn't like to be complimented on her looks? Weird.

She looks to the arm that is offered and shakes her head. "Maybe if there is a second date," she tells him and just lets him open the door to the Skinnyburger instead. "So, seems we're both a little more then we appear."

Radiance has posed:
Walking inside and heads to the table the waitress seats them at, Hermione nods her head to the question. "I... well, I've always been the pretty one. Even back home. The first thing anyone every really says to me is how pretty I am. It was nice at first, but... Well, no one ever talks about how nice I am or how friendly or anything else. It's always my looks. I think that's why I like Mr. Stark so much. He's never once commented on my looks. Not ever!"

She puts her purse in the corner of the booth, keeping it from being snagged. Seems she's learned a thing or two after being in New York for a couple months. "It was good. My job is pretty simple. Say hello to people when they walk in. Ask them if they are here to see anyone. If they have an appointment, I sign them in and tell them what floor to go to. If not, I call to the receptionist of the department and make an appointment for them. It's pretty easy stuff. But Mr. Stark says my perkiness makes his company look good."

Radiance has posed:
Hermione says, "It's a lot nicer then where I worked before. When I first got here to New York, I didn't know anyone. I just took the first job that hired me because I needed a job fast if I was going to stay here. So, I was working for a juice bar called The Squeeze over at the mall. It was pretty bad. Having Hermione on my name tag was awful. When people try to talk to me, it's either about my name and Harry Potter or it's about my looks. It gets a little old." She smiles to Rayner then. "And thank you. About the nice thing."

"Hey, at least you are smart enough to work on computers. I'm not that smart. And yeah, my job is pretty sweet. Mr. Stark is really good at finding places where people will fit well. I'm pretty sure my looks are why I'm the first face people see at Stark, but he's never actually said that is the reason.""

Radiance has posed:
Hermione blinks, amazed. "Wait, you've never read the books or seen the movies? Really? You know nothing about Harry Potter?" She suddenly bursts into a bright smile. "You have no idea how awesome that is. I love it!" She orders her meal, a large salad with fries on the side, and then turns her attention back to Rayner. "And don't worry about it. I guess it's a case of First World problems. Oh no, I'm so pretty that people compliment me all the time. My life is so hard."

As you talk about helping people, her smile continues. Warm and sweet. "No, I get that. I like that you prefer to help people locally. I do that too. I come from a big family, so I'm used to cooking for like 10 people. So, I have been giving the left overs to the homeless in Hell's Kitchen and Mutant Town. That and I like to knit while I watch stuff on Netflix, so I knit scarves and give them out too."

Radiance has posed:
Hermione shakes her head when talking about Harry Potter. "Well, if my parents were here, they would be like that. They met at the Harry Potter theme park. All my brothers and sisters have Harry Potter names. Our house has pretty much every bit of paraphenalia you can imagine. My parents describe people by the house they think they would be in. I'm just glad to be away from all that nonsense."

Her brow crinkles when he says he helps people for free. "Wow! That's so nice. Especially considering it's what you do for a living. I don't think I could do things like that. NOt with my job." She laughs and starts counting off her fingers when he asks about ten people. "There is mum and dad. Me. Harry, Ron and Neville. Ginny and Luna. Then there is Grandad and Grandmum. Grandad was here for Veteran's day. I wheeled him in the parade. He loved it."

Radiance has posed:
Hermione says, "My grandad is why I wanted to be a hero when my gifts showed up. He fought with Captain America in World War II. He used to talk about the Captain all the time. I have had his poster on my wall for years. And now he's signed it and he's training me in combat. It's pretty awesome. I was hoping Grandad would be able to meet the Captain again. He would have loved that."

She thanks the waitress as the food arrives and begins to salt and ketchup her fries. "I know what you mean. I got these gifts for a reason. I don't know what that reason is, but at least I can start by using them to help people.""

Radiance has posed:
Hermione nods her head eagerly. "Oh, I have. Cap would love to meet him. He even remembered Grandad's nickname. Goose. I was hoping Cap would be there for the parade, but I must have missed him. I'll get him again when Grandad visits again."

When asked about her powers, she leans in closer to keep her voice low. "Well, I was with my boyfriend Bobby, we spent the day together. Holdin' hands and stuff. And then he kissed me for the first time. I walked in the house only... I was floating. That was the first thing I found out. Then a couple days later, I ws helping on the farm, it was haybale time. Only, I wasnt strggling. In fact, it was easy. And so we kept trying to see how much I could life. Neville, he loves comic books, so he wanted to see what else I could do. So all that summer it was try this and try that."

Radiance has posed:
"So... this is a date then?" Hermione asks with a quirk of a brow. "And I don't know if it was the kiss or what. I just started to be able to fly and to be strong and stuff. The glow is a recent thing. I think it comes from me getting a full charge."

Radiance has posed:
Hermione says, "And, about Billy. I knew I was coming here. I didn't know how long I would be here though, or if I would ever be coming back. So, we sorta broke up. He's fine though. He's with Marni now. She'll make him happy." She nibbles on her salad. "The closest I am to dating someone is that Asgardian I mentioned. I'm his shield maiden. So... I fight for him. Or something. It's kind of hard to explain."

Radiance has posed:
Hermione chews on her lower lip. "Well, see, it's a little confusing. He says he likes me, but with me being human, my life span is like a blink of an eye to him. I mean, he's three thousand years old. So... he says he wants me to have a good life, but he also says that I'm his shield maiden and I'm not sure what that all means. And I didn't know if this was going to be a date or not, because... well... I'm still kind of new at this whole dating thing."

Radiance has posed:
Hermione nods her head, lifting her shoulders. "Apparently. Well, not so much immortal as just really really long lived. He says they die just like we do, they just have a longer life span. Like I said, he's sweet and I like him, but ... he's right. It wouldn't be practical. He's not going to age and in a blink of an eye he's going to see me at middle aged and then with grey hair and wrinkles. And then I'll be gone. I'm more like a pet hamster to him. A very well loved pet hamster." She sighs softly, having not really let herself come to that conclusion yet.

"You seem nice, Rayner. And I've had a nice time. But... do you mind if we take things slow? I'm not saying no, just... dates without us being... a thing? Yet? Does that sound okay?"

Radiance has posed:
Hermione bites at her lip, looking to Rayner worried when he mentions his confidence. "I'm sorry. I never was really good at lying to people just to make them feel better. I know the truth can hurt sometimes, but I always think it hurts less then finding out you were lied to later." She nibbles on her fries. She's a nibbler this one. Might explain the waistline. "Well, if you're good with that, the going slow that is, then we can go on dates. Maybe even have Radiance and Raijin team up together."

Radiance has posed:
Being asked about the farm is nice. She hasn't had much time to think about it since she moved out here. "I loved feeding the chickens in the morning. I loved how they all had personalities and they would come running and clucking excitedly. And then, when they are busy eating, Ginny and Luna would gather the eggs in the coop. And the rooster, strutting, watching all his girls eating." She smiles at the memory. "I know this is important, for me to be here, but I would love to go back home someday."

Radiance has posed:
Hermione can't help but laugh, leaning back. "Well, considering I did say that we could try dating, I guess that does mean a second date sort of has to happen. Dating sort of involves going on dates, after all." She reaches for her drink and sips slowly. "And I would love the zoo. I've never been to a zoo before. What are they like?"

Radiance has posed:
Hermione lifts her shoulders. "What can I say? There isn't a zoo in Nebraska. And since I've come here, well, I've been going to the parks and the Statue of Liberty and the museums. There is *so* much to see! I've only been here a couple months, so I haven't had a chance to see all the things I want to see. Especially between work and training and now heroing."
