Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Gorilla Grodd, Doctor Strange

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd has been seeking someone whose intelligence and skill that he can absorb. Brains work best, but there are other ways; residual psychic impressions and his most recent scheme is ambitious indeed. Word might have reached Stephen that someone had been disturbing grave sites of former Sorcerer's supreme and that there was a small almost trashy museum by the docks that had a certain skull....

Doctor Strange has posed:
He had hoped the rumors to be fabrications of over eager minds, desiring nothing more than to get him out of his house and ambush the Sorcerer Supreme.

    He hoped in vain.

Doctor Strange is flying through the skies, just skimming across the rooftops, his deep red and gold lined cloak helping him make it through the air effortlessly. He descends down to an opening on the docks and lacing his fingers he rolls his wrist until his palms face outwards and he pushes, causing seven rapid poping sounds from his knuckles. Then a weak wince as he tries to get that eigth finger to pop.

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd teleports into an alley hidden from the boardwalk but quite visible to someone from the air. He quickly puts up a simple telepathic disgsuise as a human to lesser minds but would be spottable for what he is to Strange rather easily. He moves to the side entrance of the museum and looks set to rip off the door

Doctor Strange has posed:
"I had sorely wished on the many Moons of Munnopor that the rumors were false." Stephen says as he steps up behind the gorilla and simply shakes his head twice. "I recommend, my fellow hominidae, that you abandon your quest for what you seek inside of that poor excuse for a museum." The wizard says while he slowly positions his feet, and his hands into a relaxed martial arts stance, with his fingers twisted into a pair of gestures that look more odd than offensive or defensive.

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd grunts at this. He has a dossier on primary threats on the planet and while he has never met Strange, this is someone he knows by reputation at least. He does not waste his time with martial arts and simply begins a direct telepathic assault on that considerable mind. "I'm afraid I must insist

Doctor Strange has posed:
The ever prepared Stephen Strange is not easily caught off guard, but a higher functioning Gorilla might be one of those things. And Grodd, Grodd is beyond even that. The damn beast is a telepath while not on the level of Charles Xavier, he is formidable. Stephen's hands quickly go to his head as his body goes backwards onto his backside.

The initial volley is surprising enough Stephen wasn't fully prepared but he does have a shield up fast enough to prevent himself from sustaining too much damage. His right hand goes back to help him stand up on his feet and he shakes his head. "That was impressive." Stephen compliments and with his left hand, a spell is cast with only his fingers and thought, sending a bolt of pure eldritch energy at the gorilla.

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd is slammed into the back wall. Damn it! He'd hoped to get him one a one and done. Grunting as stars slam around in his head "Likewise so. I have no intention to harm anyone living this day. Walk away sorceror." He slams again telepathically again, trying to bypass the shield.

Doctor Strange has posed:
"You intend no- AAARRGGGH!!!" Stephen calls out in a grimace as the telepathic battle begins to commence. Stephen shits his shield one way, falling for the feint, but he falls forward, his hands landing on the ground before his face, stopping the fall from beind completely damaging.

"--Harm, but you plan on defiling the dead." Stephen says as he counters the psychic attack with a mental counter attack.

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd says, "The dead don't care and I have need of the fellows knowledge and talents...you are not fully human so I am being courteous but my patience is wearing thin." While he DOES have some gadgets that are handy he is considering retreat. The sorcerer is simply too VARIABLE an opponnent to plan for without a very specific plan but he telepathically slams a third time."

Doctor Strange has posed:
The attack, a slam is more potent but less focused and something Strange should see coming, but he doesn't, and the man's shield is pushed hard enough to push itself back into the sorcerer and he grimaces even tighter, and even slides down the dock with his chest still down against it.

"You have the gall to bring up my heritage? You better put that species card back in the deck, I refuse to acknowledge its validity in this fight!" Stephen responds as he rolls onto his back and back into the influence of his mental barrier. "The dead care more than you could possibly realize." Strange groans from his prone position.

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd says, "the Gorilla is always superior to the human!" He roars, the rage of it giving him easy strength to rip the door off its hinges. He is slowly and almost recovered from the first eldritch blast, sending another but not as strong since he ripped the door off."

Doctor Strange has posed:
Stephen blinks a few times and laughs a little bit at the response he gets from the Gorilla and yet he's the one who's slow to get up to his feet when yet another psychic attack comes screaming for the doctor. He weathers this one about as well as the others, with brances of the attack hitting doctor and not the full brunt of the assault.

Stephen physically reacts with a wretching sound and thankfully his head turns to the side, so it doesn't pool all over his face. Strange coughs several times as he calls upon the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak. A taffy like substance blossoming out of the cracks on the dock beneath Grodd and reaching to ensnare the gorilla by his feet and pin the creatures hands to its side.

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd grunts and now knows why his file said never to tangle with this fellow in these circumstances. He reaches for a button on his belt which surrounds him with an energy shield, but that will only stop the goo for so long.

Doctor Strange has posed:
The Gorilla is safe from the bands touching him personally, but the Crimson Bands do what they are advertised to do. The taffy like substance wraps around the shield of the Gorilla like a well a skin, encasing the primate in a second sphere.

"What are you planning to do now?" Stephen asks the entombed gorilla with a subtle shake of the spell.

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd says, "I have need of some of the arcane knowledge inside of his now empty skull. I telepathically can 'borrow it' with ....well, physical proximity to my person." He is looking for ways out of this. He can teleport away but not inside safely and now the skull might be moved. Annoying. He slams the sorcerer with another psyhic assualt."

Doctor Strange has posed:
The bands eat up most of the attack, but the mind is one of the few things that can slither through the infintesimally small cracks in the spell and it's enough to do more than cause Stephen a small temporary headache. But it's enough to weaken the bands ever so slightly.

"Then why not just walk by the skull during normal business hours and gleam what you need from it then. Why must you come in the shadow of night?" Stephen asks more externalizing his interior thoughts. "Theft is the most pervasive answer. Am I wrong?"

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd laughs, now annoyed an willing to annoy. "Because I eat it Doctor Strange." He sends the strongest band he can, and realizes his two other devices are useless because he can't bring them to bear. This is NOT good. "I put his skull in my belly.

Doctor Strange has posed:
"This I can not a-AAAAAH!" Stephen cries and falls to his knees, his hands lifting to his head in pain, the distraction is great enough to disperse the bands around the shield.

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd takes out a gravity gun which in retrospect wont do much to a sorcerer but it will distract him a bit, and fires it at him temporarily reversing gravity. A flyer would be immune almost but it is disorienting as he smashes more of the bands and heads in

Doctor Strange has posed:
Stephen slowly starts to float off the ground, having yet to rise to his feet and, honestly isn't affected in the slightest. "You must not be aware that I have fought the likes of Nightmare in his very own realm. Floating in null gravity is like throwing a fruit bat at Batman." Stephen says before he cocks his fist back and decides this is enough and with a motion of his hand, he reaches out into the shop with a spell and attempts to grab the skull of his former master and send it away.

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd grabs the skull and jams it into his mouth. "Take that wizard!" He immediately activates the teleporter which will take a few moments to activate. He is getting ready to send a massive psycic blast.

Doctor Strange has posed:
The air shimmers around Grodd, the only indication that something is about to be really really bad for Stephen. He brings both hands up in front of his face, crossing the arms at the wrist and bracing himself tightly. He can't cast a spell to save his master's remains and save himself at the same time. Instinctually Strange knows exactly what to do.

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd slams the effect just before the teleportation takes him away, easily twice the strength as before. It would exhaust Grodd but since he is getting away he no longer cares. He is going to get what he came for!

Doctor Strange has posed:
Strange tumbles through the air with a grunt of pain escaping his lips. "You damned dirty ape!" Stephen snarls to himself as he ceases his flipping and rights himself using the cloak to regain control. This Strange can not abide, he starts to rise up into the air and aims himself in the direction of Greenwich. There is a lot of work to be done and little time to do it.
