Cast of Characters: Wonder Woman, Doctor Strange, Power Girl

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana had come to Doctor Strange's place to seek his assistance with the situations unfolding around the greater city area.

She'd arrived via a town car though she'd been wearing her armor covered over by a dark navy blue hooded robe. She'd made her way up to his house and had announced herself by subtle knocks... she'd texted him prior to arriving so she knew he knew she was coming...

Diana's eyes glanced back out at the street before she looked back onto his front doors. A light exhale was had... Greenwich Village was mostly a quiet part of the city, he was lucky to live here. There were protests on the NYU campus southwest of here, but they'd remained peaceful so far. It was further south west that things were bad, in Bushwick.

Doctor Strange has posed:
Opening the door at the end of her rasping, Doctor Strange is drawing his cloak around his neck as his other hand is busy. As he opens the door however, Strange's normal wizarding attire changes into something more every day, a well cut and stylish three piece suit in a brown and tan variety.

Stephen smiles to Diana and offers his hand and would move to kiss the back of hers if she'll grace him with her hand. "Well met princess, but the message of your text was rather worrysome to say the least. You wanted to what exactly?"

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana's hands were done up in the leather half gloves that tucked into her ornate (slightly battle damanged) bracers. So to kiss them would be to either kiss bare knuckled fingers or the leather covering her hands!

Diana would show a faint smile to the man before she'd move straight on to business.

"The city needs your particular kind of... magic." The woman said in her Greek accented voice. "For lack of a better short summary, of course."

Diana would then motion toward the south. "I have come from Bushwick. Storefronts are being set ablaze, parks are being vandalized, schools are being ransacked."

She'd look back to him. "I am here to see if you will help the League in this dire matter?"

Power Girl has posed:
The Eye of Agamotto is a wondrous thing. One of its primary purposes is to warn the Sorcerer Supreme of imminent danger. This can detect, among other things, intent. What it also detects is objects flying unusually fast in Strange's direction.

Suffice it to say, a fully grown woman flying in Stephen's direction at a speed somewhere approaching mach III sends the Eye into absolute fits. The frightening aspect of it, though, is that Stephen is likely used to it warning him when he has moments to spare. The speed of the Eye is not necessarily used to matching that of a Kryptonian, and while this might not work twice, Power Girl is floating mere feet from Strange and his visitor before much can really be -done- about it. Not that he necessarily would, or perhaps should feel that he needs to- but it is a little alarming that, even if only the once, a being managed to outpace the early warning system in the eye.

To more mortal senses such as sight, touch, and sound, there is a rush of wind, and the resounding CRACK in the sky. The thing about that that is so difficult to get used to, though, is that the sound of her breaking the sound barrier only reaches their ears well after she's already there.

"Sorry if I'm intruding," she begins, arms folded. "But I heard a familiar voice asking for help. I'm between riots right now, and figure this might be a discussion for me to take part in."

Doctor Strange has posed:
"You do know I have an oath to protect this world, but only from exterior forces and beings. This is something I should not be getting involved in, by nature of my very title and role." Stephen explains with a heavy heart but he does nod once after looking into the woman's eyes and realizing that before she even spoke he knew what it was about and that he would get involved. It is in fact his very nature to save everyone he can.

"Bushwick. I figured that would be one of the places hit worst, that and the deep south." Stephen says sighing slightly when he's abruptly knocked onto his unprepared rear.

Stephen looks up from his semi-prone position at the woman who appeared near him and Diana in a heart beat. "You heard her?" Stephen inquires, his voice surprised and his tone indicating he's beyond surprised.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana would smirk to Stephen's response. "Some of them are using alien technology to fight against the Police and those with super powers who are attmepting to stop it. So there is threat from foreign places being put to use here, Stephen." She countered his counter.

At Power Girl's arrival though, Diana's blue eyes would lift up to the blonde woman and she'd stare upon her for a moment before showing a soft smile to her. "A member of the Justice League is hopefully never too far away..."

The Amazonian Princess would motion to Power Girl and then to Stephen. "Power Girl. Doctor Stephen Strange."

she'd look again to the blonde. "I was hoping to plead for the good doctor's unique take on stopping threats. It is unlike most others, useful in many other potential ways."

Power Girl has posed:
The blonde floating in the sky lands in this sort of slow, languid, non-threatening way. She then sort of half-kneels in order to offer her hand to the man she'd knocked over unintentionally, offering this friendly- if mildly cocksure- smile. "Sorry about that. I hadn't intended to arrive with quite that much force."

After helping him up- if he'll let her- she nods over at Diana. "Yeah, I couldn't help but overhear." Which is something of a little white lie. She'd been listening in on the conversation ever since Diana's voice had been part of it, but it's more that it's a polite way of saying that than anything else.

"You say that by the nature of your oath, you protect from threats external. I wonder whether that explicitly forbids you to act on the threats internal." It's a logical argument. "After all, if you've got something to offer... I think this sort of counts, if we're rationalizing, under the hippocratic oath. That is, if I'm not assuming you're the wrong kind of Doctor."

Doctor Strange has posed:
Stephen takes the offered hand and it's like a steel statue that he pulls up against. Like he couldn't topple her with his maximum strength on his best day. "Diana... You have some interesting friends." He notes idly before dusting his backside off with his hands.

"It actually says I am not to interfere with the Earth's internal developments and evolutions." Stephen says softly with a sigh but then he lifts his head up, "Really, alien weapons. Technology is not my forte, but I will do whatever I can to save lives and protect anyone I can." The doctor's hypocratic oath also must be upheld and it is one he holds in higher regard than the Sorcerer Supreme's oath.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana would show a little smile toward Power Girl's words of helping her earn the Doctor's assistance with all that is going on. She'd watch the other League member help him right himself as well.

"Yes." She'd respond to Stephen. "I know, and work with, a diverse cast of characters." She'd show a soft and faint smile toward Karen before looking back to Stephen.

"Splendid." She said to him then. "I have brought my car if you would like to ride with me?" She knew that Stephen had a cape that would allow him to hover... but did they really want to hover their way a good 10 miles south of here?

"Alien weaponry is not exactly my 'forte' either. But smashing them to tinsy-tiny bits is something I am much more capable, and willing, to do."

Power Girl has posed:
The blonde nods a couple of times. "This actually isn't interfering, really, with the evolution. From what I've read of some papers published about mutants, they're a form of evolution of mankind. Stopping the riots can actually be pretty easily seen as aiding the process you're supposed to not interfere with, if that makes sense." He might have agreed, but it's a common tactic. She's reinforcing the decision.

Power Girl didn't really know much of Stephen. She knew that if Diana was there asking, he was more than meets the eye, but the exact nature of that is not really in the scope of anything she's dealt with- both home and here. She's just happy to have someone new helping.

"Alien weaponry might be more my speed." she states, "I happen to know quite a bit about off-world technology, at least about how to dissect it, and if I don't know it, I can take it somewhere, well, -out-there- where someone who -does- know is bound to reside. Better than contacting the Lanterns, I'd figure."

Doctor Strange has posed:
"Then, shall we?" Stephen inquires after hearing about the town car and looking down at the bottom of his steps towards the car that was mentioned. "I'm worried this will be something certainly more than it seems on the surface, so I'd like to know everything you two know about the situation we're headed into." The doctor asks as he moves towards Diana's car and opens the back door in order to be a gentleman to allow the woman into the car, and he's curious if the super fast and flying woman would even take the offer of the car ride.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana would certainly be happy to let Power Girl get out of flying in the chilly pre-December air and ride in the vehicle if she so wished!

Once inside the car though, the explanations would begin. "It is almost as though there have been gangs prepared for this event." She'd start. "They have come out of the woodwork well organized and with a sense of preparedness behind their actions and attacks. Though they seem random on the surface, and ultimately they likely are, the attacks have been wholely damaging with an intent that would appear to be solely based on unstabilizing peace."

Diana would look back over her shoulder from her spot in the passenger seat.

"I believe that some of these groups are being funded and paid for by the Brotherhood. I believe that there is financial gain to be had by many of the more well equipped ne'er-do-wells. The police are not treating them as such though. They are not asking such questions, seeking such insights."

The car would take a little while to reach Mutant Town. It would be night time by the time they would reach it.

Power Girl has posed:
Power Girl thinks about it for a few moments. She isn't sure if the spectacle of flying quite matches the situation, but all the same, she cannot necessarily allow people to realize that she has any similarities to someone... More normal. Karen Starr rides in cars- Power Girl is a bombastic individual who would rather fly. So, she shows off a bit, practically reclining in the air next to the car.

It's a flashy thing that, frankly, Superman wouldn't be doing. She's more flashy, to an extent, even though she has a lot of the same attitude as Clark- but the fact is, he'd follow humbly, and might even take the ride... Peej? She does something that isn't just practical, it's good to watch.

"It... I guess it makes sense that they'd need funding, but they also need connections. I would imagine that someone is also pointing them in the direction of particularly potent weaponry. That's also a point of concern." she notes, from outside the car. Means they have to have the windows, down, admittedly. "I think it would be a good idea to send someone along to some police departments as an envoy. To help them ask the right questions. Is Batman available? I'm sure he'd be able to help out on that front." She chuckles, admittedly, because it's -almost- a joke. Almost.

Doctor Strange has posed:
Stephen's hand slowly finds his head in a not very subtle face palming motion. "You remind me a lot of one of my pupils." Stephen notes after rolling down the electric window, so they can converse with Power Girl.

"Alien weaponry doesn't make sense for the brotherhood, or are you saying there's two sides funding these 'skirmishes', akin to the cold war in many ways." Stephen says as he moves his hand from his forehead down to his goatee and twisting a few hairs as he thinks. "Perhaps we should take care to subdue a few combatants from any fight and learn so much more than we could if we were having to play detective."

"Any ideas Power Girl, Wonder Woman?" He asks individually, looking out the window and then back into the passenger seat ahead of him.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana would look out to her right to see Power Girl gliding along beside their car while adding to the conversation. Diana could easily hear her because they shared a Justice League ear-piece device.

"Mystique was last seen in Manhattan two nights ago. I believe that the Brotherhood is funding the attackers to make it far less easy to track and find her."

She'd look back to the Doctor then while her redheaded Amazonian sister was the one driving the car.

"Information is what we are after here, secondary to protecting the innocents in Bushwick. This is why I have been trying to gather a diverse assortment of heroes to achieve both of these goals. We need to find out as much as we can."

Diana would look back to Power Girl then. "Batman is unreachable in Gotham. It is the living definition of a stirred up bee's hive after the Washington fiasco..."

Power Girl has posed:
Rolling onto her back, Power Girl offers this little chuckle. "Your student sounds like they know how to relax. That's important." she notes, offering the best opinion she can. "Well, I think we need to target the supply lines. I'm not sure I buy the idea of the Brotherhood being responsible for their funding. It might be financially viable, but... Unless they're funding both sides, all they're doing is getting mutants killed. That, to me, sounds like something they're not interested in."

There's a pause, before she continues. "I could see them using the armaments as a reason to get people violent, but only with methods that mutants can deal with." she offers, shrugging a bit from outside the car. "Yeah, I figured he'd be hard to reach, right now."

Doctor Strange has posed:
"Prepareth thyne game faces ladies!" Stephen says with a seriousness that exudes from the doctors voice. "We're nearly there. I assume you two will take point while I am to deal with the foes at range." Stephen assess as he shrugs off the illusion spell, revealing his blue gi, padded and lined with furs, and a few white tufts peaking out of the tops of his shoes and gloves. The cloak itself seems thicker and heavier to match the New York chill. His eyes meet Power Girl's and he nods once, before rolling up his window and then he turns his attention to Diana and as he was about to say something, he thinks better of it and nods briskly.
