Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Mon-El, Raijin, Sabrina Spellman, Origami

Mon-El has posed:
Manhattan is sparkling with holly wreaths, Christmas LEDs, garland and glittering evergreen trees this time of the year. All the shops lining the ritzy Upper East Side are decked out in all the holiday flare, with large and often gaudy signs up front advertising all the great deals they have going on for the month.

A lot of strange things have been happening lately, however, the typical seasonal festivities seem to be in full swing anyway. At any rate, Lar Gand of Daxam is strolling down the busy streets, peering curiously in the windows of the various shops. Without any memory of his time on Earth, all these decorations and images of a fat man in a red and white suit are rather strange to him. Clearly some kind of cultural Earth holiday, and a big one at that.

Raijin has posed:
Rayner is whistling as he walks down the same street, coincidentally, as Lar Gand. Though he is paying far less attention. to his surroundings. Carrying a simple briefcase over his shoulder, he whistles a jolly christmas tune as he passes by people, saying the occasional "Merry Christmas!"

He always did love Christmas. People were just...better people this time of season.

Sabrina Spellman has posed:
This is like another world, compared to her small town of Greendale, or even the slightly larger, neighboring Riverdale or Angel Grove! It is not her first time visiting Manhattan, but it IS her first time visiting for the Holiday. She might be a Witch, but she celebrates Christmas. It might have different meaning for them, but many of the traditions are very similar. So, she's come to pick up some presents for her friends and aunts!

She's wearing ugg boots, fleece-lined leggings, and a band t-shirt under a cute jacket, and gloves. The white and black head of a cat peeks out of the messenger bag hanging at her side. He watches everything with the disdain that is usual to his species. She smiles to herself, enjoying the decorations, as they move along!

Mon-El has posed:
The thing that attract's Lar's attention, actually, is the cat that Sabrina is carrying around. He had seen something similar to that before--didn't Lyle have one back on the Legion cruiser? Maybe, maybe not, he'd kinda been about to die then so he hadn't paid it much attention. He does however, remember meeting a Tommy who was a larger version of that mammal thing. Perhaps it's a juvenile? Is he staring? Yeah, probably because he's about to start X-ray visioning the girl's pet to see if it resembled Tommy at all on the inside.

That is, until Rayner distracts his attention by saying something to him. He looks up at the man, puzzled. 'Merry Christmas'? What was that supposed to mean? "Uh..." he isn't sure how to respond to it. "Thank you?"

Raijin has posed:
Well, see....it's Lar that causes Rayner to completely pause in his step. "...you alright? Christmas is a happy time. You know, goodwill, peace on earth? goodwill towards men?" He says in humor without knowing that Lar is clearly alien with no idea what Christmas is. "So in that case, you're welcome." he smiles dorkily. But then Sabrina catches his attention.

She's dressed loudly and she has a cat. Might as well paint a giant 'NOTICE ME!' on your back. "Merry Christmas! Nice cat." he smiles.

Sabrina Spellman has posed:
"I can't believe you all celebrate this nonesense. It's a human holiday," growls the kitty. It mewls it very soft, as if trying to whisper it up to Sabrina...but he has there might be super-powered folks nearby. "Now, if you did it the old way? Burn some folks to celebrate a good harvest and the coming of a dead winter? I could get behind that. Also, that plays sells catnip toys. You know. Hint for my stocking..."

Sabrina smirks and glances down, whispering towards her messenger bag. "Oh, shut up. You love Christmas. I caught you singing along to that old Seth MacFarlane album Zelda is always playing." The kitty scrunches his face up in distaste and pointedly looks away. It is at that point that she notices she is being greeted, and she flashes a warm smile. "Well, thanks! Merry Christmas! And eh...he's a handful, really." The kitty preens.

Mon-El has posed:
Nope, Lar has not a clue. He just stares blankly at Rayner as the other man tries to explain. But at least he understands that it is a good thing.

Oh, he definitely heard that entire conversation. And now he probably thinks cats normally talk. After all 2 out of the 3 cats he has seen talked, and the only one that didn't was when he was...well, preoccupied with not dying. That first sentence about burning people, though. He raises a brow. "I hope that was a joke." he says directly to the cat. "Because if it wasn't, I might have to break you."

Raijin has posed:
Rayner smiles warmly to Sabrina....but then Mon-El's words cause him to raise a brow. "uhmmm....did you just threaten her cat?" he looks to the cat then, even more confused. "wait, can you talk to cats?" he says in a small tone. "Cats can't talk!"

He looks at Sabrina...unless...."Unless...it's a magic..." he sighs a moment. "Never. A. Dull. Moment." he sighs then.

Sabrina Spellman has posed:
Sabrina and the cat are both surprised when Mon-el directs a statement like that at them. She furrows her brow. "Excuse me?" Salem, meanwhile, offers a confused and totally NOT special..."Mew?" He then begins cleaning his paw. Sabrina, meanwhile, is getting that he overheard it, and she flashes a smile. "That's right, they can't! Ha ha!" She is a bad liar, and the laugh and smile comes off awkward, before she clears her throat and tries to change the subject.

"Gorgeous decorations, huh? I'm visiting from Canada right now, and...well...nobody goes this all-out in my town. It's so ...merry!"

Mon-El has posed:
"Sorry, I was talking to him. And yes I did. If 'cat' is what he is." Lar points at Salem. "Or she, not sure how to sex them yet. I heard something about burning people to celebrate a harvest and it was disturbing."

What? He doesn't know what cats are or aren't capable of, as a matter of fact, the first one he saw seemed to be able to pull off some tricks he still is unsure of despite all his extra-sensory capabilities. Which definitely makes him uneasy. "Look, you can't hide from me, trust me. Tell me what's going on here." Nope, definitely not letting her change the subject.

Raijin has posed:
Rayner just looks between Sabrina...whose defense is seriously unconvincing as she tries to dissuade them into thinking th cat is just your average cat. "Uh..huh.." but then Mon=El keeps going! though then he hears that the cat was talking about burning people.

"Uhm....what?" he looks to the cat, treating it as a possible threat now.

Sabrina Spellman has posed:
Sabrina sighs and glances between the two before she steps in close, so other passerbys can't heat the conversation. "SSSH! Shut up! Keep it down, okay!?," she stage-whispers to Mon-el. "He just has a messed up sense of humor, alright? Salem wouldn't actually do something like that, right?" She glances down at the cat. The cat looks up at her, and then at Mon-el, before sighing. Not a cat sound, a human sigh. "No, I wouldn't do something like that. I was just referring to ancient rituals of rebirth. Promise." He sounds perturbed...but he means it. Also, yes, Rayner, the kitty just spoke. His voice is deep and very male.

Mon-El has posed:
Lar frowns as Sabrina finally caves. He is not sure if he should believe her, but since the cat doesn't seem to have taken any actual action yet, he decides to rest the case for now. "Hmph. Fine. But you'd better keep an eye on him. Why don't you want anyone else to know about this sense of humor?"

He shrugs, then sticks out a hand to initiate that Earth greeting ritual--you know the handshake. "I'm Lar Gand, by the way. And what about you two?"

Raijin has posed:
Rayner looks at the cat. Cats can talk. CATS CAN TALK?! Rayner blinks a few times. "My life just keeps getting weirder and weirder.....is this a special breed of cat oorrr has some magic business happened to it?" he looks at the cat. so deep! scary!

But he turns his head to Sabrina. "Fine, we'll keep it on the down low." he extends his hand then to Lar. "Rayner Vasesuna." if either of them know the last name, it's because that name owns a billion-dollar corporation: Vasesuna Enterprises.

Sabrina Spellman has posed:
"Uh, no. It's because most cats can't talk, and people aren't supposed to know he can...," Sabrina offers as she peers curiously at Lar. She then glances at his hand and reaches out to take it. "So, I'd appreciate you keeping it quiet, or we could get into -serious- trouble. I'm Sabrina Spellman." The teen glances over at Rayner and cocks her head to the side, as if trying to place the name.

Mon-El has posed:
Lar nods and shakes each hand with a...well, -very- firm grip. Like almost enough to bruise. Hey, it was better than last time with Tommy, all right? "It's a pleasure Rayner, Sabrina." he frowns at the statement about cats. "Oh, really? Most of the ones I've seen did. Maybe a particular sub-species?" He smirks a little. "Well, all right. I guess I will try to keep it a secret for you. Since you asked nicely."

Speaking of trouble, though, what looks like a vortex of purple energy suddenly appears behind Mon-El, and a beautiful woman with long, wavy blonde hair and a glittering white leotard and cape just...appears out of it. "Lar Gand!" she declares. "I have been searching the timestream for you!" If anyone has the ability to detect magic or mystical forces, she and that vortex she just came out of are both reeking of it.

Raijin has posed:
Thank goodness Rayner had both super strength adn durability. It's a firm grip, but not enough to be uncomfortable for him. "Wow, good grip." though then he looks at Sabrina, tilting his head. "That last name brings a host of irony." he looks to the cat, but he chuckles. "It's a nice name." then he turns his attention back to Lar.

Then a portal opens. "Okay...WHAT." he looks to the lady. Just went from Magic to Time Travel. Rayner can already feel his head about to literally explode.

Sabrina Spellman has posed:
The teen winces at the very strong grip and wrings out her hand a bit when she gets it back. She jumps back in surprise when the woman emerges, and her eyes widen. "Uh." Salem paws at Sabrina's arm. "Hey!," he hisses. "Magic! Soaked in it! Like she rolled around in it!" Salem nods to the cat and widens her stance a bit, as if prepared to begin working wards if she needs to.

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore is roaming around, just... doing the usual boring stuff, when she soddenly stops and crinkles her nose. "Oh... That can't be good." She starts slipping through the crowd toward the sudden magic burst, quietly turning a sheet of paper over in a scarred hand. Seeing a portal, she frowns. "Right. Very not good." She sighs a bit and turns the paper over, hesitant to start folding until she has more information, and moves toward the scene.

Mon-El has posed:
Lar turns around and stares at the woman, who seems to know exactly who -he- is, yet he doesn't recall ever seeing her before. "I--what?! Who are you?"
The woman looks affronted at this. "Oh, don't do this to me, Lar! Surely you remember Lori, aka, Glorith? I have been searching high and low for you across the cosmos, and I've finally found you...the perfect soulmate you've always been. Take my hand, and together, we will rule the galaxy!"

She grabs for his arm, but he quickly pulls away. "Look. Didn't you hear me the first time? I. Don't. Know you. Leave me alone before I--"

But he doesn't get to finish the though, because she points and suddenly he's trapped in a block of ice. Well, not really, but more of a binding spell of sorts that conjured something that looked like ice around it to make it appear that way. "Oh, in that case honey, I guess I'll have to jog your memory just a little bit! Does -this- feel familiar at all?" she laughs and waves a hand, and a massive T-rex comes roaring out of the portal. Its tail swings and knocks into a shop nearby, shattering windows and sending normal folk screaming and running for cover.

Lar just stares in horror at everything unfolding before him, unable to move or do anything to stop it. It's too bad that magic is the one thing he is powerless against! He just gives Rayner and Sabrina a 'Help!' look.

Raijin has posed:
Rayner looks on as Lar is frozen and a GIANT FREAKIN' T-REX pops out of the portal and starts wreaking havoc on the area. Narrowing his eyes, he's gone and is back in the blink of an eye..though is wearing black robes with blue lining that would remind someone of a lightning bolt arc chain. A black hood covers his face and his eyes are a glowing blue. "Let's play." and he leaps at the T-Rex, punching it -hard- in the jaw in an attempt to possibly knock it back through the portal!

"Magic cat! can you fix Lar?" he questions.

Sabrina Spellman has posed:
Sabrina takes all of this in with wide eyes, as does the kitty peeking out of her messenger bag. She jumps in surprise when the spell binds him into the ice, and she sighs. ...And then the t-rex attacks. "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!"

Instead of running, however, like so many others are, she reaches into her messenger bag and withdraws a black wooden wand. She flicks her wrist.

"Broken glass and shattered stone, return at once to your old home!" It isn't a good ryhme, but the spell works. She begins gesturing and casting, rebuilding the damage done by the dinosaur as it does it.

The cat, meanwhile, hops out of the messenger bag and dodges the chaos. "No! I can't cast magic! It's the rules! Come on, Sabrina! GET 'EM!"

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore ugghs. "Right." She folds and creases and bends, and tosses a small paper figure in the air.. which grows, and becomes feathery in appearance, and screeches loudly and dives at the woman, trying to beat at her with its wings, and buzz at her, and keep her busy dealing with an Angry Bird instead of throwing dinosaurs at people.. "Okay, I am going to need some cover, here.." She reaches in her bag and slips out another square sheet of paper, moving to stay out of the way of the worst of the craziness going on.

Mon-El has posed:
The T-rex gets super-punched in the jaw. Blood spurts, and it is indeed pushed backward--and would have gone back through the vortex only it closes and disappears before that can happen, instead causing both of them to slam into a bank building that was behind it. Sabrina's repair spells have mostly mended the damage that was done by the initial tail swipe, but when -that- happens, more glass and other building debris crack and shatter, sending rubble in all directions.

Now the beast is even more pissed than it was initially. It howls angrily and tries to chomp down on Rayer with it powerful jaws and sharp canine teeth.

Glorith, meanwhile is just standing there, looking very amused at this entire situation. Lar is staring at her in shock, and it seems somehow despite the rest of him being basically paralyzed, he can still talk. "Are you insane?! Leave them alone!"
She laughs. "Swear you'll rule with me and I will!" That's when Miyako's formerly paper bird suddenly swoops down and attacks her. "Ugh! Get away from me!" She rises into the air, and a magical bolt of eldritch energies flies from hand, attempting to instantly age it to the point of deteriorating or wearing off. "Ha, whoever made that, you think you can -trifle- with me? Time is my plaything!"

Raijin has posed:
Rayner sighs a moment when the portal closes without warning. "Oh come on...." he sighs. Just his luck. Alright, let's kick the crap out of a Trex! Thus does he zoom about, looking like a constatly traveling bolt of lightning. Though he extends his hands, lightning arcing from them to give the large dinosaur a shock. Though the cat's repsonse to him does bring Rayner's attention to it.

"What? a magic cat that can't use magic?!"

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore starts folding, running toward the dinosaur. She yess a quick "Back!" and holds up a little paper box.. which grows quickly, growing penciled in brick patterns as it does, turning concrete grey as one corner of it lands on the ground. The instant building tips, dropping down over the dinosaur as she pushes the corner.. then her hand brushes past the bag again, coming up with a sheet of paper that she holds, turning to look at the flying wizardy person warily. "Okay, NOW what are you going to do?"

Mon-El has posed:
The monstrous dinosaur's jaws don't manage to clamp down on Rayner. In fact, it's having a pretty darn hard time even keeping track of him, he's moving so fast! It's definitely not prepared when he unleashes a bolt of -lightning- on it. The massive electrical shock strikes both the bank they'd crashed into and the rex, the voltage traveling through whatever will carry it. This likely starts some fires, but it also stuns the beast, sending it crashing to the ground on top of some vehicles parked on the street. Then Miyako's conjured building just falls down on top of it the downed reptilian. Well, dead or not, it sure isn't getting up any time soon.

Glorith is starting to look a bit flustered now that the dinosaur seems to be down for the count. She hadn't anticipated so much resistance! "What am I going to do? Well maybe I should show you." And another purple vortex appears as she starts to summon yet another prehistoric monster. A claw starts through, and from the size of it, it's going to be even worse than the last one! But, since she's already partially busy keeping Lar frozen there's a chance someone can interrupt the spell before the thing can come through.

Speaking of Lar, he's trying to get Sabrina's attention. "Spellman...can't you or your uh, cat figure out how to undo this??" She seemed to be fixing the buildings, maybe she can counter Glorith's binding spell, especially with the sorceress already distracted by Rayner and Miyako.

Raijin has posed:
Rayner zips around, though when the dino falls, he likely gives Miyako a high five for teamwork, despite the collateral damage. But then he sees the claw...and he looks at Glorith. "This is gonna hurt..." he sighs to himself, before he bomb rushes forward, attempting to chop Glorith in the back of the neck with a super-strength addative to strengthen the blow! knockout strike maybe?

Regardless, he looks to Lar. "I can't get you out of there mate...whatever you two are young to do, do it fast!" he encourages, focused on his task of taking out Glorith without killing her.

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore folds and creases and bends and makes a little paper flower - which she drops behind the corner of the building. She quickly pulls out another piece of paper, which she crumples into a ball, winds up, and throws at the portal.. the ball grows, turning stony and huge, and just sort of rolls into the way, a big rolling boulder to try to block the gate. That leaves her sort of out in the open, reaching for another piece of paper, a bit wild eyed at having to fold so fast. The flower starts blooming behind her, turning silvery and growing and seeding. "Come on, come ON.."

Sabrina Spellman has posed:
Chaos is happening everywhere, and Sabrina is doing her best to take it all in. She is casting spells left and right, trying to minimize damage and chaos as best she can. She is only a Teenage Witch(tm), though! She can't do TOO much! She ends up huddled behind a bench. She furrows her brow as she considers what to do...before her necklace blinks blue and green at her. Her aunts need her! She can't risk being grounded! She sighs and reaches into her messenger bag...withdrawing a broom. A full broom. Out of a small bag. She slides onto it side saddle...and rockets into the air! "IMSOSORRYIWOULDSTAYANDHELPBUTICAN'TGETGROUNDEDRIGHTBEFOREWINTERBREAKHEYYOUSTOPBEINGABADWITCH!" And with that, she is gone.

Mon-El has posed:
The builder Miyako summoned is planted in front of the portal, and serves to at least stymie the arrive of the new monster--for now, anyway. It can be heard roaring and smashing into the rock, shaking it violently.

Then, Rayner charges straight at Glorith as she was working on keeping Lar restrained and summoning the new beast. The super strength knockout strike knocks her out and sends her flying back--right at the moment the boulder holding the creature back cracks in two. But the timing is just perfect...the generated by Rayner's strike causes Glorith's body to knock the monster backward just enough to send them both back into the time portal, which collapses now that the sorceress is out cold. And the binding spell drops as well, freeing Lar from its grasp. There's quite a bit of collateral damage, but nothing that the city hasn't seen before.

Mon-El sighs with relief. "Phew. Thanks Rayner. And...?" He peers at Miyako, whom he hasn't met. (But thanks for nothing Sabrina!)

Raijin has posed:
Rayner takes a breath of relief when Glorith and her beasties fall through the portal. "Whew....that was easy." But then he looks to Lar and Miyako, giving a light bow.

"Sadly...I must away. I'll see you two soon." A two-finger salute Then as he vanishes with a stroke of electricity...gone.

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore has a piece of paper in both hands, ready to act, then a whole chain reaction happens and everything seems to start falling into place as the flower spreads a silvery glow around the area.

"..Okay, that was weird. Origami here. Do you know what that was about?" She looks back at the paper building. "I hope somebody is coming to deal with this.."
