Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Daken, Raven

Daken has posed:
Its that time of day in the mid afternoon, where dinner time crowds are thinning out and people trying to avoid the meal time rush can be found wandering about outside. the sound of Birds chirping began to cease for the most part, but people still yelled at each other, horns honked,New York was New York, and loud as ever.

Daken, would have other plans. Long hair cascading to his shoulders and his fur coat trails behind him as he walks. He looks homeless, but in truth he's been traveling for some time. Eventually, he sits down on a bench, his hands touching each other as if in a severe, critical thought. A small breath is taken...he was going tos ee his father, Logan. But he didn't know what to do.

So, he looks off towards the sun that begun the course to set over the horizon, a small breath is taken. "Man....some views just never get old."

Raven has posed:
Raven hates the daytime. Furthermore, she hates the daytime when other people are present. It makes it difficult for her to focus on anything other than the way that people around her are feeling, and despite that she is the farthest thing from a recognizable heroine, there are still constant chattering from people around that sometimes tries to involve her- which, well, she hates.

Walking through Central Park, she admittedly... Cuts an intriguing figure. Completely separate and different from everyone else, alone, and in general keeping to herself, she is a quiet, looming figure making her way through the whole of the park. She doesn't seem to be going much of anywhere, just yet.

Daken has posed:
Daken would be sitting there still....though, when he spots Raven walking through the park..he sees her as a tad suspicious, so he stands up to look at her with a tilt of his head. Sadly though...other factors were at play.

Firstly, Daken's pheromones...despite his attempts to hide it with cologne, were spreading free..leading anyone around him to feel any number of interesting feelings (consent), including love, anger, happiness, sadness..and anything else under the emotional spectrum.

Secondly, three goons look like their about to do something they regret...and they begin to start tailing Raven from a distance, thinking she has something that they could want..namely money.

Raven has posed:
The two men following her, Raven is only cursorily aware of. The pheromones, however, aren't something Raven is especially susceptible to. They do, however, make her empathy go haywire- the people in the park are feeling such rapidly changing, varied, and strong emotions that she is rendered some level of incapable of really -using- the power at its lowest level. She'd have to turn it up to override the pheromones.

She is making her way through the park, unabated, for now. Her hands are in her pockets, and her hood is up, which... Makes her look somewhat suspicious, perhaps, but all the same, she doesn't look... Armed. Or dangerous, or criminal. Just... Different.

Daken has posed:
Daken attempts to catch Raven's scent...and it's something he hasn't smelled before. Not human...not completely. He doesn't know what she is. Though the men following her start to quicken their pace as Raven nears an empty alley, as if attempting to corner her there. One of them pulls out a small little shiv knife, and the other? a small handgun he hid in his pocket and keeps it hidden from sight...except for one.

Seeing what's about to go down, Daken follows them his hands clenched together. He doesn't brandish his claws yet...waiting until his suspicions are true. Time was running short.

Raven has posed:
By now, as she makes her way towards the alley, Raven has become aware of the men following her. She can sense the hostile intent, especially as she moves away from the crowds in Central Park, and unseen by those following, her expression shifts into a deeper sort of frown. Eventually, she figures that it's best to take them in the alleyway, and hooks to the side in order to make their job easier.

By the time they enter the alleyway behind her, she'll be facing their way. Her eyes aren't especially visible, but as soon as they round the corner, she'll speak.

"Before we get into this, you really, really don't want to do it."

Daken has posed:
The crooks are easily lured into exactly where they were going to corner Raven in the first place. THeir weapons drawn, the guy apparently running the show steps forward first, the one with the shiv knife. "Oh, Oh I think I really do. See, you're going to give us all your money...and then...well, we'll figure it out." the two cackle then like the thugs they were.

Then a voice from behind the thugs speak, trapping them in the alley between he and Raven. "She's right you know. You really don't." it was Daken. The thug with the handgun points it at Daken's face. Though Daken just looks like your average person. A bullet will surely kill him right?

The man with the knife gets all up in Raven's face, pointing the shiv at her neck if he was permitted that close. "Money. Now."

Raven has posed:
Raven's frown deepens. Now, there's a random civilian involved. She's not happy about that, but she masks that with pragmatic statements. "Well, let's run down the list. No cell phone, no wallet. I'm not carrying any cash. This is all pretty pointless." she notes, though the man is almost certainly going to continue approaching.

That means that she has to start taking every form of action that she can take. She starts muttering under her breath as the man approaches, and with a strange, otherworldly noise, his arm is coated suddenly in a form of anti-light, like visible shadow deeper than that in the alleyway. The arm with the shiv lurches off to the side, forcing him off of his feet, and sending him flying up, and towards a wall.

Quietly, her hands slip out of her pockets, ready to defend, and attack, the other thugs present.

Daken has posed:
Soon as Raven prepares to defend herself...a shot rings out. Daken barely moves from his spot as he takes a bullet right to the heart...but it doesn't stop him. Not at all. In fact he heals rather quickly...as the bullet just gets pushed out of his body.

"That was a mistake bub." he mimics his father as a SNIKT! sound comes out as his claws manifest. adamantium..shimmering in the light. He stabs the gunmen right in the arm to disarm him and his boot finds it's place in his crotch, downing him as he groans in agony. Daken then turns his attention to the man with the shiv, who get's ragdolled right into the wall....and he stays there. "H-hey! let me go!" he tries to shake free even thoug hhe's on pure adrenaline. Daken approaches her and his claws retract back inside of his skin. "Huh."

Raven has posed:
Raven continues to speak in a somewhat... Grotesque, seemingly... Demonic, perhaps? Sort of language. From her body, the shape of a raven extends, her shadow elongating in the horrible birdshape on the ground, as it begins to make the rounds to the would-be thieves, sucking them into the incredible blackness of its form, before... Seemingly retracting into Raven. Meanwhile, she locks her eyes on Daken. There is a moment of silence, before she speaks up.

"They're being taken to a station. I'm sure they'll confess."

Daken has posed:
Daken watched as they were sucked into Raven's shadowed bird of ultimate agony. As he would call it, and he looks right back to Raven. It's like he was never shot. Complete recovery...perfect. He looks right into her eyes then, not one of backing down due to fear or surrender.

Her words cause him to relax, his hands relaxing from their closed grip. "Hm. Alright. You good?" he asks curiously.

Raven has posed:
Raven perks a brow at the sight of the lack of wound, but writes it off as, well, what it is. He's a metahuman- perhaps a mutant, considering that this is New York. She isn't particularly troubled by it, at all.

She nods quietly to him afterwards, turning to move through the rest of the alleyway. Her hands slip their way into her pockets, but she doesn't smile- Raven doesn't seem to have a smile button of any kind. "I'm good. Thanks for the assist. Sorry you had to feel what it's like to be shot."

Daken has posed:
Daken gives her a light nod at her words. He figures her to be a magic woman, for lack of a better term. Though when she starts to leave and apologizes for what he had to feel like to be shot, Daken smiles softly. "It's not a new feeling." he says softly, suggesting he's lived....a rather hard life (which is a massive understatement). As she leaves, he bows his head softly and turns heel himself.

"Don't mention it." and off he goes....
