Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Wolverine, Daken

Wolverine has posed:
The bar was pretty empty today. So far there was one man at the bar, and a few people at tables in the back. A few muffled voices make this a sombre day in Harry's. The smell of burned something or other comes from the kitchen in the back. Harry is currently behind the bar, wiping the counter, while the man at the bar has his head down, nursing a half-full mug of beer.

The man sitting at the bar was wearing an old fashined cowboy hat and a dark brown coat with some kind of animal fur around the hood. His blue jeans were almost fully hidden by the jacket, but his worn, comfortable looking cowboy boots were not

Raising the half-empty glass to his lips, Logan takes a deep pull, swallows most of the beer in the mug, puts the mug down, wipes the foam from his lips, and sniffs. And sniffs again. Sighing, Logan shakes his head, and continues to stare directly ahead. Without a word.

Daken has posed:
Daken had no doubt that Logan had picked up his scent like Daken picked up his. There are some things you never forget.

Daken stopped at the door to the newly quiet bar, a deep breath as he cracked his neck. This ends two ways: a claw fight or a peaceful talk with his father. But Daken knew that for the past 50 years, give or take He was a piece of shit to -everyone-. Especially Logan.

But it was time to fix that. With a push of the door, Daken Akihiro entered the bar.

wearing a black long coat with wolf pelt around the neck, a dark red shirt underneath that, black-as-coal jeans and combat boots is what Daken wears today, a full head of hair that cascades to his shoulders in a wild manner and a full beard mark his appearance as possibly homeless. He approached when he saw Logan, taking a seat right next to him without a word.

Wolverine has posed:
As Daken enters the bar, Logan finishes off his beer, and gives Harry a look. With a nod, and a quick motion with two fingers, Harry looks at Daken, looks at Logan, frowns, and begins to draw two more beers. When the first was finished he put it down in front of Logan, and when the second was done, Harry put it in front of the chair next to Logan's right. Where Daken was sitting.

Without a word, Logan pushes the now-empty glass towards Harry, grunts, and grabs the fresh beer. Without a word, Logan picks it up, and takes several deep pulls, before putting it down on the counter. With a loud burp, and then a deep sigh, LOgan finally speaks without even looking at Daken.

Looking straight ahead, Logan says, "Whatcha' want kid? Ya' know ya' ain't very welcome around here. Most o' us would sooner gut ya' than talk to ya'." Logan motions towards Harry with his now empty mug. "Another Harry."

Daken has posed:
Daken just gives Harry a nod at the drink being given. Daken knows what he's done...manipulated people, murdered innocents...and performed heinous crimes the world over.

When Logan finally speaks, he'll notice something different. He doesn't talk back, there's no bloodlust in his eyes like the times they've met previous. Instead, he slowly turns to look at Logan. "Father....that's what you won't believe." A small sigh is audible.

"I'm sorry." He whispers, picking up the drink he was given and chugs it down effortlessly. "Sorry will never undo the things I've done. I've accepted that...I want to make peace. I discovered the truth, Logan." The truth being that Logan didn't abandon him and Romulus fed him lies and horseshit.

Wolverine has posed:
Logan takes a look to his right, and frowns. Grunting non-committally at the "father" comment, Logan grabs the newly arrived third (at least) beer, and takes another drink. Savoring this one, Logan doesn't respond, he simply says, "Ya know, I like comin' here. It's quiet. Outta tha' way." Logan shakes his head, looks at the mug, and adds, "Plus, Harry's always got Keith's on tap."

Sorry...hmmm..."Peace. Huh. Look kid, ah don't know why yer here, trying to make nice." Logan takes another drink, not so fast this time around.

"The truth. Fine. How can I believe that it is truly what ya' want or if this is some kinda' game yer playin'? I HATE games." Logan almost growls. Okay, not a great mood today, probably helped by a couple...or more...beers.

Daken has posed:
Daken simply looked ahead then, a small breath is taken before he turns in his chair to look at Logan "If I wanted to kill you, I would have by now." There's that family temper. Though when asked how Logan can believe him, Daken sighs.

"I've lived a shitty life. I've killed and stole, and much worse, all for the sake of vengeance against you for abandoning me as a baby in my mothers' womb." He states his reason for wanting to make Logan's life a living hell.

"but....he lied. Romulus...he's the reason mother died. The reason I did what I did. I need to fix the damage Logan. I need to repay for what I've taken. If I was lying...you'd have struck me by now." Logan could see it in his eyes.

A manipulator even without trying he may be...but there are signs when someone tells the truth. Daken shows -all- of them. "I no longer have a reason to lie."

Wolverine has posed:
"Many have tried kid, many have tried. Even wished fer it once or twice. Killin' me that is. Hurumph. Maybe someday..." Logan watches as Harry gives them space, heading out back to get something. Maybe it was that burnt smelling something or other that was being murdered on the grill by Frank, the cook.

"I hear ya' kid. I hear ya'...not like ma' life been much better. Guess I coulda been a better father, if I had known...and a' course he lied. What did ya expect?"

Logan sighs again, and takes another drink. "Figures. I was wonderin' why this day was so quiet like. Now I know. The "big guy" upstairs was teasing me with a' day of quiet, just so you could how up and rain on ma' parade." Logan shakes his head, looks sideways at Daken, and adds, "Nice. Okay. Truth it is. We start over."

Logan's eyes narrow into slits, with barely concealed cold rage, as he turns his head to look into Daken's eyes. "Just remember...if yer f*ing lying ta me, and people ah care aboot get hurt...ah'll be comin'...an' ya' won't see me...Nick Fury himself wouldn't see me if I was coming...just remember."

Switching emotions to one less threatening, Logan actually...was that a...smile? "Now drink yer damned beer. Ah'll this talkin's makin' my head hurt." Logan takes a drink, reaches into his jacket, and pulls out two cigars. The good ones too..."Got a light?"

Daken has posed:
Daken was -finally- and sincerely on the right path. Now let's pray he stays there.

"I'm surprised I'm still alive to begin with. But it is what it is. I think I came close to ending you once or twice." He teases with that grim Howlett humor.

"I expected as I saw it...and because of my arrogance, I've caused a lot o' pain to the wrong people. Ever think how if no one got involved, we could have had a normal life?" A sympathetic smile then. He may look 24, but he's in his late 70's. The kid knows.

though he was more surprised that Logan accepted starting over, which Daken smiles for the first time in a long time. "Don't worry...those days are over. I already swore to never harm another innocent life." Now let's hope someone doesn't piss him off. Temper.

a chuckle then as father and son reconnect. "Fine." And he takes a swig of that good shit, when asked for a light, Daken reaches into his coat pocket and brings out a lighter, flicking it alit to light Logan's Cigar before lighting one for himself.

a puff of smoke then. ".....thank you, old man."
